2. Beginning
Welcome.
First, an introduction. The Self Enhancing
Master Memory Matrix (SEM3) is a matrix of
100 major system words with an additional 100
words. As you will see later, this is a gross
simplification, but it will do for now. All you need
to know for now is that it is mnemonics on
steroids.

3. Uses
SEM3 is quite unlike most other mnemonic systems. It has
a number of advantages/disadvantages, but we'll get to that
later.
One important thing is that it is generally not for "personal"
use - it's for accumulating a ridiculous amount of
information, to turn you into something, akin to a human
encyclopaedia.

4. Uses
Bluntly, if you want to use it to pass your exams, give up.
It's difficult to modify, and frankly, if you managed to
refashion out of it something that could be used for school
or university, you've wasted your time - I suggest one of
Dominic's systems for that.
If you simply want to morph your mind into something
worthy of the title 'Super-genius', however, then you've
come to the right place.

5. Disadvantages
SEM3 has certain advantages and
disadvantages. I'll address the disadvantages
that it has received a lot of criticism for first:
* It's difficult to learn
* It's not as simple as it could be
* Its name is really long

This is true to some degree, though obviously
I've created this course for the sole purpose of
mitigating it (well, that, and imparting my
gratuitous intellect to the mentally needy).
Simply put: get over it. If you want to be a
super-genius, you'll have to put in the hard
yakka.

7. Why the disadvantages don't matter
This is another problem - it seems to be one that many
people whinge about over the internet. Yes, it is true, but I
view this more as an advantage than a disadvantage - it
really gives your neurons a good workout - improving
synapse plasticity and all that. "But the Dominic System is
so much more easier and intuitive!" Then go learn it.
Actually, learn both - I don't see the point of memory
system rivalry if you can just learn both!

8. Why the disadvantages don't matter

10. Why the advantages DO matter
Random Access Memory means that you can
pretty much pluck any information you have
stored in your matrix at a whim,
instantaneously, unlike loci system where you
have to retrace your steps. If this was the
ONLY advantage, I'd be pretty reluctant to learn
it - after all, that is a pretty gigantic name.

11. Why the advantages DO matter
SEM3's pegs, of which there are 10000, do not
necessarily have to hold one bit of data per peg
- they could conceivably hold hundreds! You
could have a peg with the name Adolf Hitler
attached. You could then attach hundreds of
details about his life, etc, on to that one peg.
That is one freaking awesome perk.
