Isaac Asimov was a Russian-American author and professor. He was born in 1920 in the Soviet Union and immigrated to the United States at age 3. Asimov was one of the most prolific writers of all time, authoring over 500 books and an estimated 9,000 letters and postcards. He is best known for his works of science fiction and his popular science books. Asimov spent his career as a professor of biochemistry at Boston University.
