Albert Einstein was born in Germany in 1876. Despite early challenges like not speaking until age 12, he taught himself calculus by age 12 and became fascinated with physics. He left school and spent 7 years traveling, working as a comedian and violinist before moving to New York. His accomplishments included developing the theories of special relativity, general relativity, and his famous equation E=mc2. He won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921 and helped urge President Roosevelt to develop the atomic bomb. Einstein spent his later life working on physics and died in 1955 at age 76.
