EMERGENCY! EMERGENCY! What will I do?
The Class will be divided into two groups.Each
group must have an actor/actors and one
presenter(alternate positions).The different
situations will be flashed on the screen.Asses
the situation and provide immediate action
needed.After the teacher flashes the
situation,wait for the signal to start and stop.Are
you ready?
Your younger sister cuts her finger with a knife.
Your classmate has drank a poison.
Your baby brother accidentally swallows a
small part of a car toy and it gets stuck in his
throat.
Your teacher suffers a heart attack.
Your friend falls down the stairs and broke his/her arm.
Do you think you did the right action for each situation?

others through the knowledge and application of
first aid.
Write in a metacard,word/words associated with the
following pictures and present it in a graphic
organizer.One reporter each group will present there
output(3 minutes)

Always know the limit of the first aid we give
because improper first aid can do more harm
than good in some instances

and the physician
• It is not intended to compete with or take place the
of the services of the physician
• It ends when the services of a physician begins
• Ensure the safety of the bystanders,the patient and
first aider

• Determine any threat to the patient’s life
• Summon more advance medical care as needed
• Provide needed care for the patient
• Assist emergency medical technician(EMT)
• Record all assessments and care given to the
patient

On the board are the different situations involving accidents
and injuries,analyze the situation and answer the questions
that follow.
-Student A is very relaxed in controlling
the bleeding on her classmate’s finger
-Student B is insisting that her
unconscious sister must drink water.
-Student C immediately brings her
friend,who fell down the stairs to the
clinic.
-Student D makes use of his clean
handkerchief to tie his best friend’s
bleeding arm.

-Don’t move an injured person unless you need to
place him/her in the recovery position

  • 4. EMERGENCY! EMERGENCY! What will I do? The Class will be divided into two groups.Each group must have an actor/actors and one presenter(alternate positions).The different situations will be flashed on the screen.Asses the situation and provide immediate action needed.After the teacher flashes the situation,wait for the signal to start and stop.Are you ready?
  • 5. Your younger sister cuts her finger with a knife. Your classmate has drank a poison. Your baby brother accidentally swallows a small part of a car toy and it gets stuck in his throat. Your teacher suffers a heart attack. Your friend falls down the stairs and broke his/her arm.

  • 9. At the end of the discussion, the learners must be able to: 1.Explain the meaning and importance of first aid 2.Develop the sense of responsibility to help others through the knowledge and application of first aid.
  • 10. Write in a metacard,word/words associated with the following pictures and present it in a graphic organizer.One reporter each group will present there output(3 minutes)
  • 11. An immediate care given to a person who suddenly taken ill. Includes self help and home care if medical assistance is not available It can mean the difference between life and death in extreme cases.
  • 12. What should we always remember when giving first aid? Always know the limit of the first aid we give because improper first aid can do more harm than good in some instances
