The document discusses factors that affect how people search and the results they get from search engines. It summarizes that search engines have expanded beyond websites to include searching from mobile devices, desktops, emails, documents and other file formats. Search engines are also able to provide local search results from personal files in addition to web-based results. As search engines learn more about users' interests, geography, social networks and behaviors, they can provide more tailored search results matching individual user preferences.

Semantic Web is evolving as meaningful extension of present web using ontology. Ontology can play an important role in structuring the content in the current web to lead this as new generation web. Domain information can be organized using ontology to help machine to interact with the data for the retrieval of exact information quickly. Present paper tries to organize community information resources covering the area of local information need and evaluate the system using SPARQL from the developed ontology.

Analysis of Three Personalized Search Tools in Relation to Information Search...jtachau
Personalized search is becoming mainstream with the rollout of iGoogle®. While only beginning to impact consumers, these search tools require search experts to retool and rethink how they optimize websites. Three personalized search tools are analyzed to illustrate common features related to the information search stage of the consumer buying process (Kotler & Keller, 2006, p. 191). Conclusions provide a summary of potential SEO (search engine optimization) tactics and five key considerations.
Recommendation System Using Social Networking ijcseit
With the proliferation of electronic commerce and knowledge economy environment both organizations and
individuals generate and consume a large amount of online information. With the huge availability of
product information on website, many times it becomes difficult for a consumer to locate item he wants to
buy. Recommendation Systems [RS] provide a solution to this. Many websites such as YouTube, e-Bay,
Amazon have come up with their own versions of Recommendation Systems. However Issues like lack of
data, changing data, changing user preferences and unpredictable items are faced by these
recommendation systems. In this paper we propose a model of Recommendation systems in e-commerce
domain which will address issues of cold start problem and change in user preference problem. Our work
proposes a novel recommendation system which incorporates user profile parameters obtained from Social
Networking website. Our proposed model SNetRS is a collaborative filtering based algorithm, which
focuses on user preferences obtained from FaceBook. We have taken domain of books to illustrate our
model.

IMPLEMENTATION OF SASF CRAWLER BASED ON MINING SERVICESIAEME Publication
As we know there are multiple users and they access various websites and every website contains multiple web pages. It is difficult for the users to find a document that is equal to their needs. Users browse their request by submitting their queries to any search engine like Google or Yahoo and it is has been found that most of the results given by the search engines are irrelevant most of the time. Web crawlers are most of the important components used by a search engine that collects web pages from the web. It is not easy for a crawler to download specific web pages. The ontology, created from the browsing history, was then parsed for the entered search query from users and the corresponding results were returned to the user providing a semantically organized and relevant output. An ontology-based web crawler uses ontological concepts for improving its performance. So it will be easy for the users to get relevant data what as per the user search request. We have focused on self-adaptive semantic focused crawler, SeSM and StSM algorithm.

Today many of the same techniques that Packard warned about sixty years ago in his classic "The Hidden Persuaders" are being used without hesitation to persuade users of digital products to subscribe, click, scroll, buy, invite and more. The same people who claim a user-centric mindset have no second thoughts when using learnings from psychology to obviously steer users towards desired behaviours.
In this talk I give examples of growing problem areas and and describe how designers need to take more responsibility for the well-being and autonomy of users, as well as some practical ways this could play out. There is a cost to doing the right thing, but there are also rarely measured human costs that we are already paying dearly for. By showcasing these costs of the different paths available to us we can boost the incentive to include more conscious, moral decision-making in the design process.
Innehållet måste då pressas in i en illasittande kostym. Lösningen är att i stället börja med en innehållsprototyp som ger underlag för den grafiska formen. Börja med verksamheten, inte med dekorationen.
Adopting techniques from behavioral sciences we are, as UX practitioners, becoming ever better at nudging users to perform the tasks we want them to perform. But when we remove all barriers and deliver the fairy-tale experience of requiring minimal brain capacity to move forward, we are in fact abandoning our promise of allowing users to make the best choice.
In this talk, where fairy-tale and reality intertwine, I will help you catch yourself and remember why you became passionate about UX in the first place.
Eliminate Design - a rant about the responsibility of UX professionalsPer Axbom
LIghtning talk for UXLx 2013. https://www.ux-lx.com/speaker.html?n=pera
The all-too-common approach of jumping head-first into sketching wireframes makes us fail the user and lose sight of solving true user problems. The screen should not be singled out as the primary medium for human-centered design, and it is the role of the UX lead to ensure that it isn’t. I will argue for the benefits of removing design and show how we can, and must, shift thinking from designing interfaces to solving real user problems with the least amount of friction and pain. Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
