This document discusses the Seal of Prophethood that was on Muhammad (peace be upon him). It says the seal was placed after his chest was split open when he was 4 years old. The seal was located between his shoulder blades on his left side, and was the size of a pigeon egg. It had some hairs and spots like moles. The seal served to authenticate that Muhammad was a prophet and protected him from evil whispers. It disappeared after his death, proving he had passed away.

2. Why did the seal take place after the splitting of
the chest?
 The main aim of a seal is to affix something.
What did Allah want to seal?
 Ilm wa Hikam
 Satanic whisperings

In a narration by Umar Bin Abdul Aziz shaytan attacks a
person spirituality from between the shoulder blades.

3. When was the seal placed?
 Prophet was born with it.
 After the splitting of the chest.
 The first is more authentic with some Ahadith
mention the Prophet born with it. (Hafiz Ibn Hajar)

 Rumaytha said, “I heard this subject from the Prophet that
at the time I was so close to the Prophet I could have kissed
the seal of the Prophet hood. The subject was the Prophet
was talking about Sa’ad Ib Mua’adh, that because of his
death the throne of Allah started to shake.
 Companions would strive to see it.

 Size of a pigeon egg in roundness – Bukhari
 Qurtubi – the size changed from time to time as did the




colour.
Spots like moles.
It had few hairs on it.
Raised flesh. Hadith in Abu Dawood, that Qurrah felt the
seal of the Prophet hood.

7. Prophecy from previous books
 Prophet was not allowed to accept Sadaqah.
 Prophet accept gift
 Seal of Prophet hood.
 Monk Buhaira recognised him through the seal.

8. At the time of death
 When some companions doubted the death,
Sayyiduna Aysha proved by showing the seal was not
there anymore.

9. After the splitting of the chest..
 Prophet was 4 years old.
 Halima was scared about the incident.
 Returned him back to mother Amina.
 When Amina heard what happened she recalled the
miracles which she witnessed during and after birth.
 She reassured Halima that shaytan would not harm
the Prophet.

10. Prophet’s appreciation
 Prophet stayed his infant years in the country side.
 These years had a huge influence on the Prophet.
 The love and affection of Halima & her tribe was embedded in




the Prophet’s heart.
Prophet would always help her or anyone connected to her.
Later on, once there was a drought, Halima came to the
Prophet, he gave her camel loaded with water and forty sheep.
Whenever she would visit, Prophet would put out his cloth for
her to sit on.
Halima’s daughter shayma was once taken captive after the
siege of taif, when the Prophet seen her, treated her well and
released her.

11. Did the Prophet go back?
 Prophet started living with his mother Amina again.
 So, in total Prophet stayed four years with Halima.

13. Whudu water
 Bukhari – Sayyiduna Sa’ib was suffering from pain,
prophet did whudu and gave him to drink the left
over water.
 Used as remedy and medicine.
