extinction. All animals have their specialties in surviving. One such unique animal is
the snow leopard. The snow leopard is fighting for its existence against many
obstacles. The snow leopard has many adaptations to its biome. This animal is very
unique and scarce. The snow leopard is indigenous to the mountains of Central Asia.
Their habitat is in total two million kilometers. The habitat crosses twelve different
countries. These countries include China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Russia, India,

This mountain range is called the Himalayas. Snow leopards are located between

society. As the world changes, we fall into different groups. Some are made to be a
temporary group while others are permanently, such as being a part of a cheer team
or becoming a grandmother. These groups vary in size, importance, and behavior.
This leads to being a part of a culture called society. Society is a group of people
who interact and share a common culture. Everyone has different views on society
but can generally be summed up to fit into three paradigms that dominate sociological
thinking: structural functionalism, conflict theory, and symbolic interactionism.
Functionalism Functionalism originates from English philosopher and biologist
Herbert Spencer. Functionalist view society as interrelated parts that work together
to meet the need of a function. Society is more than just individual parts but rather
each part is functional for the stability of the whole. Hebert Spencer (1820 1903),
who saw similarities between society and the human body; he argued that just as
the various organs of the body work together to keep the body functioning, the
various parts of society work together to keep society functioning (Spencer 1898).

At Kent State University in Ohio, there was several memorable events. Like the
destruction of protestors launching a demonstration that included setting fire to the
ROTC building causing the governor of Ohio to dispatch 900 National Guardsmen to
the campus. On May 4th, 1970 was a tragic event for Kent State University. During
that day an altercation occurred with twenty eight guardsmen opening fire on a crowd
causing the killings of 4 students and wounding nine others. Almost 500 colleges

My Reflection of Erikson Erik Erikson was a developmental psychologist known
for his theory of psychosocial development. Unlike other theorists of his time
Erikson s theory focused on human development across the lifespan from birth to
