Interactive science notebooks are a student-centered tool that allows students to organize their learning through writing, drawing, and discussion. They provide a place for students to record data from hands-on experiments and activities, as well as process their understanding. The left side of the notebook is for student work like drawings, graphs, and reflective writing, while the right side is for teacher notes and materials. Research shows that using science notebooks in this way improves student achievement in science literacy and understanding.
