Vision:

School’s Brief History
❖Some two decades ago, the place was called “Emmiray”.
❖After the resettlement program in 1998, it was named as
“Pemaling”.
❖Got it’s current name when His Majesty The Druk Gyalpo
(then Choetse Penlop) hiked till Deorali during MT review of
Dagana and renamed it as “Gesarling”.
❖Started as Pemaling Community Primary School in 1999
with 3 teachers and 3 students.
❖LSS: 2007, MSS: 2013, Central School: 2015 and HSS: 2019

• Girls = 397
• Boys = 374
• Total: 771
Boarders: Girls = 342, Boys = 313, Total: 655
Staff:
Teachers: 42 (including Principal and VP)
Supporting Staff: 29
Total: 72
❖ Received “Certificate of Commendation” for making
significant improvement in overall performance from
87.58%(2017) to 96.77%(2018) at MSS Level(Class X).

Academics:
• Overall Teachers shortage = 7 (as per TRE)
• Currently, acute shortage of 2 Geography, 1 History and 1 Math
Teachers.
Infrastructure:
Acute shortage of toilets in the Academic blocks.
Current Ratio = Toilet units(14):Total students(771) = 1:55
Additional Staff Quarters needed.
✔80%(56 of 70) staff live out of the campus.
✔Adequate staff within the campus will help management in
efficient monitoring of the boarding students.
Budget:
Management of large school with limited budget can be quite
challenging.
