[EPP 9] SAVE Program – Implementation Mechanism Refrigerators & Air conditioners Notify consumer via electricity bill (1) STEP 1 Notes: 1. Criteria:  Refrigerator  - 200-400kWh (average 6 months) (Peninsular Malaysia only, Sabah & Sarawak open to all domestic consumers) A/C – Open to interested domestic consumers 2. Within 1 month of voucher printing 3. Voucher, copy of IC & utility bill and proof of purchase (invoice/ receipt) Consumer receive electricity bill STEP 2 Consumer purchase equipment from participating retailers at discounted price (2) Consumer submit copies of supporting documents (3) STEP 3 Retailer submit rebate claims to utility with supporting documents (3) Utility verify  documents  submitted by retailer and pay rebate to retailer STEP 4 Monitor electrical usage of participating customers Consumer print / receive printed voucher Consumers check online/ Kedai Tenaga/ retailers for eligibility Retailer receive voucher with copy of IC and utility bill Issuance of Rebates Voucher Monitoring , calculation of results (savings, 5-Star equipment market size) and progress  reporting Retailers lock in utility account no. / contract no. in the system
