La carrera investigadora y otras profesiones científicas en Reino Unido. A ello dedicamos un taller el 25 de noviembre de 2016, organizado por la Fundación Ramón Areces y la Sociedad de Científicos Españoles en el Reino Unido (SRUK/CERU) en colaboración con la Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología (FECYT). En la jornada se exploraron las salidas profesionales de los investigadores en Reino Unido.

EU REFERENDUM
On Thursday 23 June 2016 the EU referendum took place
and the people of the United Kingdom voted to leave the
European Union.
The referendum question was: should the United Kingdom
remain a member of the European Union or leave the
European Union?

OUR BREXIT MESSAGES
 Nuestra visión para un Reino Unido fuera de la UE es clara:
un país plenamente independiente y soberano. Queremos
que la relación con la UE sea relación madura y de
cooperación, como aquella que mantienen los países amigos
y aliados.
El mensaje que queremos transmitir al mundo es el
siguiente: el Reino Unido continúa abierto a los negocios.
Somos el mismo país que hemos sido siempre: orientado al
exterior, con una mentalidad global, flexible y dinámico.

DÓNDE ESTAMOS - BREXIT
 El artículo 50 se va a invocar antes de marzo de 2017,
momento en el cual comienzan las negociaciones formales
para salir de la UE. El Gobierno va a introducir en ley, Great
Repeal Bill, para suprimir la Ley de las Comunidades Europeas
de los estatutos constitucionales, el derecho comunitario
dejará de tener autoridad en el Reino Unido.
En el proceso de salida de la UE se concederá a las
empresas y a los trabajadores la máxima certidumbre posible.
Y tenemos muy claro que los derechos jurídicos ya existentes
de los trabajadores seguirán garantizados en la legislación.

13/08/2016: “Chancellor Philip Hammond guarantees EU funding beyond
date UK leaves the EU”:
Philip Hammond guaranteed billions of pounds of UK government
investment after Brexit for projects currently funded by the EU, including
science grants and agricultural subsidies.
21/11/2016: PM announces major research boost to make Britain the go-
to place for innovators and investors
Additional £2 billion government investment per year for research and
development by the end of this Parliament.
