also simplification around Finance changed

Client‘s previous SAP experience => unable to run simple
S4HC is still a growing product, especially native Fiori apps –400+ OSS incidents in 7
months
You don‘t always fully understand what you are ADOPTING - only in course of
implementation you will realize features an limitations in detail
Solution walk-throughs and fit-to-standard analysis should be completed as early as
possible. Fix the scope in the Explore phase!
Once client adopts proposed Chart of Accounts, you are half live!
Integration & migration is easy, once adhered to the Standard
Migration is easy from a legacy SAP system (same data model)
Adherence to SAP’s Activate methodology and close collaboration between Client,

digital core (but usage requires additional license).

• SAP ERP systems were not capable to perform analytics
directly on top of the OLTP system
• SAP BW systems bridged the gap, but had to extract the
data, what was time consuming and costly (e.g. data
duplication)
• Operational reports could not be delivered in a timely
manner to impact directly the business process
execution
• SAP BW reports were more static than dynamic and
mainly based on historic data → decisions have been
based on old data
• Technology advancements (like SAP HANA) enable the
integration of Analytics into ERP systems and into the business
processes
• SAP S/4HANA is capable to execute BI queries directly on the
operational database without additional data duplication
• On the other side, SAP BW/4HANA systems become capable to
integrate and analyze data in real-time through data replication
and data federation
• Real-time / intraday analysis become possible to enrich the
business process execution from both sides – from ERP and BW
side
