Observations:
The class was very congestedwith respect to the strength of the learners.
Noise was constantly comingfrom other classrooms which were located just outside of this classroom and it was
creating a lot of disturbance and hurdles in teaching, understanding and learning process.
The teacher was usingUrdulanguage only, through this way the children who only understood Sindhi language
were felt ignored.
The teacher just read the text of crossing the road after which she translated it into Urdu Language.
Teacher gave the opportunity to learners randomly and made them come in front of the classroom to read and
share their understanding about the content
The learners only translated the content in the same manner as it was done by the teacher
Grade V
The teacher did not used any learning resource in the class except text books.
The teacher was speaking very fast due to which learners were facing difficulty in understanding her.
Seating arrangement was not satisfactory.
The teacher maintained the board properly.
The teacher mainly used the board
There was a good sequence in lesson.
The teacher also called some learners to the board to solve the problems
Grade VI
3. Science Teacher Observed:
Name Farzana Kousar Gender Female Subject Interested English, Social studies
Qualification Graduate SEF Trained Untrained Type of Training Nil
Observations:
Challenges:
Due to high enrolment in the school i.e. more than 450+ and no space available for further admissions, the classes are quite
congested and few classes had to be arranged in open, outside the available classrooms. This thing directly affects the
teaching-learning process as the noise coming from the classrooms outside distracts the attention of most of the learners.
Recommendations:
It is indeed suggested to hire Sindhi speaking teachers as well so that most of the children who understand Sindhi only will
not feel neglected or ignored and it will help them in understanding the concepts better.
