1. Hazirah: Hi guys. Where are you hurrying to?
Nasuha: Hi. We are going to attend a Physics private tuition.
Hazirah: Which private tuition are you going to?
Nasuha: We are going to Network System Tuition Centre. It’s nearby our house.
Hazirah: I don’t quite agree to private tuition centers. Are you sure you are getting
enough for what you pay? How many pupils are there in the class?
Mira: Oh, Mr. Daniel has two session, afternoon and night. Each session has about 45
students.
Najihah: Wow, that’s too many students in a class! Those who come late for the class
will have to sit at the back and I am sure they will find it difficult to listen to him and to
concentrate during the lesson. Am I right Mira?
Mira: You are quite right, Najihah. That’s why we are going half an hour early to attend
the class. We can get a place in the front then.
Hazirah: You know, I feel that private tuition is very exam-oriented and not so much
inclined to students to use their general knowledge from various perspectives. Hence, I
feel students just mug up whatever the teacher emphasises and prepare to score in the
exam.
Mira: That’s right. But I want good results in my examination and I am weak in a few
chapters. I need help so I have to go for this extra class.
Najihah: How is the accommodation in the center, Nasuha? Is it enough and
comfortable?
Nasuha: My tuition centre is not so bad. However, at times the condition in the tuition
centre is not that condusive. Rahman said he is going to a tuition centre where the air
condition always gives trouble. There is no fan to overcome the problem, so very often
when the air condition breaks down, he feels uneasy and restless.
Hazirah: Guys, you must also make sure about the teachers in private tuition centres.
Some of them are unqualified teachers so make sure you find out more details about the
teachers before attending classes.
2. Mira: Thank you for reminding me about it. I will be careful before registering for tuition
classes.
Najihah: Mira, some students are very dependent on tuition teachers that they may not
pay attention in school. This should not occur as the schoolteachers are equally good and
qualified and do their best to teach the students.
Mira: All right Najihah. I promise to pay attention at class. I like my schoolteachers. I
respect and honour them, dear friends! I am attending private tuition classes for subjects
that I am weak. I promise to work harder to understand my lessons better. I think we
better go now.the class will start soon.
Najihah: Okay. Take care guys.
Nasuha: Bye Najihah and Hazirah. See you in school tomorrow.
