describing the movements of the pineal gland and gives the impression that many of these impulses
would be very slight and thus unnoticeable due to the fact that they only occur if the opposite
impulse

believe he would respond to the first objection by saying something to the effect of the movements
or impulses being so small they are undetectable (at least by the technology available to him).
My second objection applies to the plausibility of a causal interaction between an immaterial
soul and a material brain under the currently accepted laws of physics and more specifically of
the law of the conservation of energy. As it is understood, energy is neither created nor
destroyed. If this is the case, when the immaterial mind causally interacts with the material pineal
gland, where does this energy come from? This energy is not simply created for that would be
against the laws of physics. If it is not created though, it must be coming from somewhere and is
likely being stored in a similar place. The answer does not occur to me to describe where an
immaterial mind would store its energy so as to causally interact with a material brain.

Bart Ehrman believes the chapter of Genesis is a myth. The term myth has many different
definitions though so let s see what he meant when he said myth. Ehrman s definition of a myth
is, a story about God or gods and their activities, which tries to make sense of the world and our

This essay will focus on a patients journey and the impact of a long term condition in their lives.
Firstly, an outline of the selected patients journey will be delivered and the pathophysiology and

Alice Walker shows Myop s innocence and subsequent loss thereof through her usage of vivid
imagery as well as the small setting and symbolism in The Flowers. Myop s sudden exposure to the
harsh reality of racism surrounding her shatters her innocence. This moment marks a change in the
tone of the short story, showcasing the main character s shift in how she understands the world
around her. Myop is suddenly and violently thrust into a world in which skin color dictates how
others in society will treat her.
There is a noticeable shift in tone in The Flowers as Myop becomes exposed to the world outside
her home. The initial tone of the short story is carefree and child like. Although the point of view of
the story is third person omniscient, it is still evident that the readers are viewing the story through
the perspective of a child. The young protagonist skips lightly from hen house to pigpen to
smokehouse (Walker) showing that she is happy, excited even, to enjoy the nature that surrounds
her. As Myop explores, it becomes evident that her family s financial situation is less than ideal.
Wandering towards the woods, she leaves behind the rusty boards of her family s sharecropper
cabin (185). Despite learning very little about the setting of this story, the reader can already picture
the scene as well as the time period. Very little is written about the setting outside of the family

Italy was known for its reckless drivers and complicated streets, so naturally we got stuck in the

What is the law of supply and demand? They are theories explaining an interaction between the
supply of a source and a demand for that resource. The law of supply and demand defines the
availability of a particular product and the demand for that product has on the price. If there is a
lower supply and a higher demand, the price will be high, but the greater the supply and lower the
