James Rosenquist And Kehinde Wiley Analysis
James Rosenquist and Kehinde Wiley
There are two American artists whose works are unique and contemporary: James Rosenquist, one of
the frontiers of American pop art movement, and Kehinde Wiley, the artist who combines art history
and heroic with black politic. The images that come into your mind when you think about Rosenquist
s work are collages. With his method of using sweet color, dislocated images, and billboard painting
style, James Rosenquist has created his distinct and striking works. Kehinde Wiley, a Los Angeles
artist, also has a remarkable style of painting. His works are filled with knowledge of art history. He
combines the realism, pattern, and rich color to create his own style. His works also propose about
black politic that appears along with the beauty of his paintings. With the extraordinary and individual
style of painting, these two artists have made the great ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Analyzing Mission Command Principles Of Gen Braxton Bragg
CHICKAMAUGA: Analyzing Mission Command Principles of GEN Braxton Bragg According to
Army ADP 6 0, mission command is the exercise of authority and direction by the commander, using
mission orders to enable disciplined initiative within the commander s intent, to empower agile and
adaptive leaders in the conduct of unified land operations (CAPE, 2012). Effective mission command
can generally be analyzed according to the six principles outlined in ADRP 6 0. The six principles of
mission command are to: build cohesive teams through mutual trust, create shared understanding,
provide a clear commander s intent, exercise disciplined initiative, use mission orders, and accept
prudent risk (CAPE, 2012). This paper provides a brief overview of the ... Show more content on

He was fighting a war on two fronts: internally, and against Union forces. It was General Bragg s lack
of confidence, previous performances, and relationships with his subordinate commanders that
ultimately caused the battle plan to not be executed correctly. Bragg was unable to successfully
implement the first principle of mission command: build cohesive teams through mutual trust. He also
had a history of not utilizing the sixth principle of mission command: take prudent risk. Bragg s lack
of competence regarding these two mission command principles ultimately set conditions for a poor
mission command climate within General Bragg s unit. Bragg s sub commanders, Generals Hindman,
Buckner, Polk, Longstreet, and Hill were all skeptical of Bragg s leadership and battle plans from his
previous campaign at Chattanooga, where he retreated from the city. Bragg was well known for
retreating at the first Battle of Chattanooga, and also for predictably employing frontal assault
offensive tactics. His history of predictable plans, retreats, and inability to take prudent risk, caused
his subordinate leaders to lose trust in his ability to plan and lead his army. One of Bragg s sub
commanders, General Hill, stated He was silent and reserved and seemed gloomy and despondent. He
had grown prematurely old since I saw him last, and showed much nervousness. His relations with his

Krill In Antarctica
Antarctic krill are usually less than 6 cm in length but their size belies the major role they play in
sustaining much of the life in the Southern Ocean. They are the primary food source for many species
of whales, seals, penguins and fish.
Studies have shown that stocks of krill in Antarctica have declined dramatically in recent years. The
reason for this is likely to be a fall in the amount of sea ice in the winter months in the Antarctic
Peninsula region.
Krill numbers in this region may have dropped by as much as 80% since the 1970 s so today s stocks
are a mere 1/5th of what they were only 30 years ago. The decline in krill may in turn account for the
decline in the numbers of some penguin species.
In the early life stages krill require

Besides prosperity, EU citizens reap the benefits of social values, democracy and a healthy
environment. The EU strives hard to bring its influence to the rest of the world through investment
and trade, by maintaining diplomatic relations and by providing humanitarian aid to many developing
countries. EU is one of the major political, economic and diplomatic forces in the world today, with
the ability to have a major impact on global affairs.
EUROPEAN UNION INSTITUTIONS
The tasks of EU are managed by a number of key bodies, which include:
Five institutions The European Commission (EU s executive body) The European Parliament (elected
by the citizens of the Member States) The Council of the European Union (representing the
governments of the Member States) The European Court of Justice (ensuring compliance with EU
law) The European Court of Auditors (ensuring sound and lawful management of the EU budget).
These institutions are advised by the European Council (Heads of State and Government of EU
Member States) and assisted by two advisory bodies: The Committee of the Regions (expresses the
opinions of regional and local authorities) The European Economic and Social Committee (expresses
the opinions of organised civil society on economic and social issues)

Sources Of Income Equality In The United States
Some sources of income equality rising come from factors such wage imbalance, capital ownership,
government taxes, and unequal education. Wage imbalance between skill workers and unskilled has
widen more rapidly in recent decades as manufacturers moves their plants overseas and technological
advancement continue to evolve leaving the average worker who can acquire new skills behind to low
wage labor. As stated by DiEugenio (2014) that the increase in capital gain by the wealthy has also
increase significantly causing further widen of wealth between the average worker. Also government
policy started in Reagan era on deregulation and progressive tax systems has helped the widening of
the income equality as the wealthy is able to find loophole

The blue light from the sky would thus be light scattered to the sides, while the reddish light would be
light that passes through the lower layers of the atmosphere and which has become impoverished in
blue rays owing to scattering. Later, in 1899, Rayleigh threw out the suggestion that the phenomenon
in question might be due to the fact that the molecules of air themselves exercised a scattering effect
on the rays of light.
In 1914 Cabannes succeeded in showing experimentally that pure and dustless gases also have the
capacity of scattering rays of light.
But a closer examination of scattering in different substances in solid, liquid, or gaseous form showed
that the scattered light did not in certain respects exactly follow the laws which, according to
calculation, should hold good for the Tyndall effect. The hypothesis which formed the basis of this
effect would seem to involve, amongst other things, that the rays scattered to the sides were polarized.
This, however, did not prove to be exactly the case.
This divergence from what was to be expected was made the starting point of a searching study of the
nature of scattered light, in which study Raman was one of those who took an active part. Raman
sought to find the explanation of the anomalies in asymmetry observed in the molecules. During these

A Research Study On Biotechnology Essay
The scientists who are conducting biotechnology research from the government grant like NIH, they
have to deal with the government before their research take place from thoughts to laboratory and
laboratory to in the real field. They have to prove the subject safety during each stage of the research
from pre clinical to clinical phase I to phase IV to the regulatory agencies. Biotechnology research
experts put maximum efforts to follow the regulatory mechanism than any other technology users.
There is no evidence that biotechnology carriages additional risk, but there are uncertainties that
concern the public. Biotechnology product put the same risk on subjects as the airplane put on
travellers. The cost of new biologic product development through the approval is approximately $2.6
Billion, means $2600 million plus the cost of post marketing surveillance is $312 million, which is
many times higher than one Airbus A380 800 that cost $428 million. The regulatory program may
differ for different field of biotechnology. The plant related biotechnology researches are rolling fast,
and some potential products are in the pipeline with less requirement comparable to animal based and
human base biotechnology products. Animal related biotechnology research has showed more
complex than scientists expected, both in terms of genetics and social issues. Most people are not
worrying much about transferring genes from one plant to another plant or transferring a one gene

Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
The most common sexually transmitted infection in the U.S is Human Papillomavirus (HPV). HPV is
often asymptomatic and benign. However, it can lead to serious complications. It can cause genital
warts, bumps in the genital area that can vary in size and are often painful and itchy. Furthermore,
HPV can cause several cancers such as cervical, oropharyngeal, or cancers of the genitals (vulva,
vagina, or penis). These cancers often don t appear for years after contraction of the virus. HPV is
spread through sexual/skin to skin contact (vaginal, anal, or oral) with an infected person, regardless if
the person is symptomatic. Both females and males can carry the disease. Most symptoms associated
with HPV affect both men and women, such as genital ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Often chlamydia will remain asymptomatic. Only an average of 10% of men and 5 30% of women
develop symptoms. The most common symptom in women is cervicitis (inflammation of the cervix)
or urethritis (inflammation of the urethra). If left untreated the infection can spread to the uterus or
fallopian tubes, possibly resulting in pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). Pelvic inflammatory disease
can damage the reproductive tract and cause infertility issues. In pregnant women, this STD can
increase the chance of premature birth and complications such as pneumonia in the baby.
Symptomatic men most often experience urethritis, and sometimes epididymitis, an inflammation of a
tube near the testicles responsible for storing sperm. Both men and women can experience rectal pain
or discharge. Lastly, both men and women can develop reactive arthritis that is accompanied by
urethritis and conjunctivitis (pinkeye); combining to create Reiter s Syndrome. Chlamydia can be
transmitted via contact with infected persons penis, vagina, anus, or mouth. Alternately, it can be
spread from a pregnant woman to her baby during birth. The systems at risk of being affected by
chlamydia are the reproductive systems of both men and women (reproductive tract, epididymis),
urinary system (urethra), and even skeleton system as with reactive arthritis. Chlamydia can be readily
cured with antibiotics. Any damage done by the disease, such as damage contracted during a bout of
pelvic inflammatory disease, will remain after treatment. Anyone who has contracted chlamydia
before should aim to prevent recurring infections, as multiple infections can increase the risk for
complications such as pelvic inflammatory disease or ectopic

Killer Bees Essay
The Africanized Honey Bee is actually a variety of honeybee derived by hybridization from African
honeybees naturalized in the western hemisphere. Because they are highly defensive and will attack
perceived intruders more readily than the common European honeybee, they are also known by the
popular name of killer bees.
Brazilian scientists imported African honeybee queens in the 1950 s in order to breed a honeybee for
use in tropical climates. Some swarms escaped into the wild. Because they were highly adapted for
tropical survival and had no natural competitors, they thrived and spread rapidly through South
America, extending their range by as much as 500 km (300 mi) per year. By the 1980s, Africanized ...

The businesses of many beekeepers in Latin American countries have failed as a result of
Africanization of the native hives. Africanized honey bees are not expected to have the same impact in
the United States because of advanced beekeeping technology and climatic limitations on the spread
of the species. Africanization of beehives can be prevented by the annual introduction of new
European queens to each colony. Africanized honeybees have increased the number of human deaths
due to bee stings in Mexico and Argentina and probably in other countries. In the United States,
however, although more people have been stung by bees since 1990, no more bee related deaths than
usual have been recorded.
Conclusions:
The idea of killer bees is one that is created more by the media and misinformation than actual fact.
Killer bees rarely if ever kill a victim. In addition, a killer bee scare in the United States would be
completely unfounded and unnecessary. General precautions that are usually taken with the
domesticated honeybee will suffice in protecting oneself against the Africanized honeybee. The
Africanized honeybee has, for the most part, reached a climatic limitation in the United States and will
not pose a threat to the northern areas of the country. The effect of Africanized honeybees to the
United States is small. Advanced bee keeping methods, precautions, and medical technology negate

Incurable Disease Research Paper
Millions of people suffer daily from incurable diseases. The reality for a person affected by an
incurable disease is that from the moment they are diagnosed and even before that back to the moment
they experienced their first symptom, they will have their disease. While these diseases do not have a
cure, treatments do exist to manage the symptoms. Often, the prescription drugs available to sufferers
of these painful, sometimes life threatening ailments are expensive and carry side effects of their own.
A remedy used for treatment of many of these symptoms and side effects, historically dating back to
as early as the 2700 s B.C. has, within the last 20 years, begun its re ascent into medical potential.

The first and possibly most important fact to which many people are uneducated is the idea that users
of medical cannabis are getting stoned, but the reality is that scientists are capable of modifying strains
of cannabis used medically to contain low amounts of the intoxicant, tetrahydrocannabiniol, more
commonly known as THC, and higher amounts of cannabidiol (Coulter and Jenewein). In most cases
medical cannabis is not ingested as an inhalant but instead as an orally administered oil. Another
common argument against cannabis is damage caused to the hippocampus which can cause short and
long term memory impairment, very real side effects that should be considered and monitored for
carefully, but studies have discovered the potential to combat these issues with the use of non steroidal
anti inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen (Welberg). While there is still much to learn about the use
of cannabis medically, it should be remembered that there is still much to learn about many medical
treatments and options but unlike cannabis, other treatments do not have an accompanying stereotype

Persuasive Essay On Progressivist
3A) Personally, my greatest talent or skill would have to be that of a determined progressivist towards
impossible perfectionist; simply stating, being a determined progressivist allows me to make
assurances of whether my assignments, applications, or any other important task are done towards
completion. Whatever obstacle I face on this ever changing path of life, I always refute the option to
give in and fail. Most of those who do face these types of challenges typically give in, quit, and find a
more elementary occupation to fulfill what they could have been; however, I had never faced a
challenge in which itself had made me stressed to the point of submission and of defeat. Even if the
odds are stacked against me, I do not let those odds topple over and convince me to concede. This skill
was one that I had to truly develop throughout the entirety of my life. There were countless
opportunities and influences that would have pushed towards me to recede and let others take the
chance. The reason as to why this skill is truly dear to my own being is due to the fact that the
majority of others feel content with what seems to be more simple to complete. This is what sets me
apart from everyone else who has the same aspirations likewise to myself. This skill, unfortunately,
had always suffered from negligence and had been overshadowed by more pretentious and immediate
occupations. Very few students, like myself, had given this valuable skill the light of day and had been

Saddam Hussein has been regarded for centuries as a lethal dictator that led Iraq into the despair and
poverty we see today. However, despite his dictatorial methods of leading his country, Hussein
accomplished some astonishing heights for his beloved country; heights that were destroyed by the
American invasion in 2001. Now, it seems that the question on everyone s lips is; Was Iraq better off
before or after the American invasion? and it seems that many Iraqi citizens are more inclined to
believe that their country was far more proficient under the rule of Saddam Hussein. Moreover, many
believe that the political and economic situation in Iraq today is far more chaotic and unequal under

How Did Latin American Culture Develop
The term Latin America encompasses not only South and Central America but the Caribbean also. The
many different ethnicities and cultures present in Latin American music make it diverse and hard to
categorise.Latinos have helped bring these sounds to U.S. audiences, and just like European
Americans and African Americans they have contributed new musical flavors that sprang from their

The Life and Work of C.G. Jung Reconsidered Essay
The Life and Work of C.G. Jung Reconsidered In my original paper on Carl Gustav Jung, I took a
rather skeptical view of the doctor and his work, for several reasons that I will reiterate. However,
after studying further into his work, I realized that these objections only related to his early psychiatric
cases, and I found myself to be far more intrigued and impressed by his later work and theories. While
I had stated in my first consideration of Jung that, there is a frustratingly limited, almost biased quality
to much of... his work , I was pleasantly surprised later on to find that many of his later theories and
assumptions were anything but limited. I still believe that in his early case work he took tremendous

He also read Swedenborg (a noted Swedish philosopher and theologian best know for his later work in
which he presented ideas for a new spiritual era ) and studied spiritualism and the paranormal. Jung
eventually realized that what he really wanted to do was psychiatry, and he became an assistant at
Burgholzli Mental Hospital, a clinic attached to the University of Zurich. Accounts of his early
psychiatric cases, as related to his assistants at Bughholzli, provide an interesting overview of Jung as
an individual as well as his formative ideas in the field of psychotherapy and analysis. These early
cases and the conclusions he draws from them are, much like his predecessor and one time colleague,
Sigmund Freud, sometimes revolutionary and brilliant. Yet, as I had stated in my earlier paper on
Jung, I also found there to be a frustratingly limited and seemingly biased quality to much of this work
that, I felt, said as much about Jung the person as it did about the work itself. I also felt that this
frustration was compounded by the fact that Jung openly criticized and departed from what he felt was
non progressive methodologies and ideologies of Freud and other contemporaries. I was intrigued by
his objections to rubber stamped diagnoses, and the tendencies of doctors and teachers of the time to
disregard the unique individuality of their patient s cases. He was clearly

My Shadowing Experience
These shadowing experiences have been very insightful. Scheduling my shadowing experiences
proved to be a bit of a challenge. Within the state of Maryland, public school students in third through
eighth grade take the annual PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and
Careers) assessment. The PARCC Assessment consists of reading and mathematics sections. The
assessment for each grade level consists of at least 7 units. Typically one day is designated for each
unit. Thus, while planning these shadowing experiences, I ensured that I did not visit on a testing day.
For this experience, I chose to visit an elementary school and its feeder middle school. I chose this
because students leave this elementary school with a high rate of student achievement, yet in middle
school the scores plummet. I wanted to investigate how this gap could be minimized. Comparing
philosophies, expectations and leadership styles for schools within the same community was also a
goal.
My first shadowing experience was on April 6, 2017 in a Prince Gorges County Public School middle
school facility. As I entered the building, I was greeted by a young man (a student) holding the door
for me. How polite I thought to myself. He then directed me to the office. Once in the office, I was
greeted by the secretary and asked to wait patiently because they were extremely busy. Even though
the front office was busy, everyone was welcoming, friendly yet efficient.

Free Will Definition
The concept of free will fundamentally breaks down into the interpretation of its two constituent
words. The word free is a direct link to the concept of freedom, which Descartes describes as the
ability to do or not do something . (O Connor) Freedom is not constrained. There can be no limits
placed on it, lest it lose the fundamental nature of its definition. Hume reasoned that the sense of
freedom linked to free will was that of liberty. that liberty is not a power of acting, but a power of
choosing. If I can do what I want, but I can t choose what I want, then perhaps I am not free
(Lacewing 5) I accept this is the more complete ideal of freedom, because it encompasses what free
will ought to be. It also raises interesting questions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(174) These tend to be determinisms that govern individual action, on a more personal level. The
second facet of determinism is known as global determinism.(174) These include physical,
theological, and logical determinism. Each of these address the idea of determinism from a grander
scale, where actions and events, surrounding an individual, are directly impacted by larger principles
outside of the control of the agent. For example, physical determinism is when everything that exists
or occurs is simply an arrangement of physical particles that conform to the laws of physics. Our
tossing and failing to swish the paper ball in the waste basket was caused by a number of other events,
which includes our choosing to toss the paper, which was also determined by other factors leading up
to our decision. Theological determinism claims everything to be pre determined by God, which is
another essay all in itself. Logical determinism was described as whatever happens later could not
have been otherwise, and can not contradict the truth value of whatever sentence or claim we make at
the moment. This form of determinism is important to the theory I will be

Why Should Child Beauty Pageants Be Banned
Child beauty pageants create a boned with parent and child because they spend a lot of time together,
communication, and having something in common. For example, the child and parent will have to
spend a lot of time together. They will have to do hair and makeup which will last anywhere to two
hours to almost three. All the categories that the child joins will take time to practice which most
children send about seven hours a week on it, and with their parent being their coach that means they
will be doing all those things together ( Children and Beauty Pageants ). Another example,
communication is a big one. It is hard to get a teenage daughter to talk to the parent, but having
communication will help the relationship. The communication will be hard, but having something in
common will help. Which leads to the last example, having something in common can be hard if the
kid plays tennis or another sport because they will have a coach to help them unless the parent is the
coach. In most cases for pageants the parent is the coach so will always have something to talk about (
Children and Beauty Pageants ). As a result the parent and child boned will be stronger than it would
be with another sport. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Existence Of Services For Students With Milder Levels...
1. The existence of services for students with milder levels of impairment is a relatively recent
occurrence. Why do you think this is so? The right of entry to education resources is more than
uncomplicated admission to a college. The right to use means to provide students with the devices
they will need to be victorious in higher learning. Students with a recognized disability ought to be no
omission. In reality, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities
Act of 1990, ensure that all qualified persons have equal access to education regardless of the presence
of any disability. Objective replacement, class waivers, and revision of classroom management, testing
and course necessities are all illustrations of behavior to supply access for the learner with a disability.
A break down to the creation of such practical adjustments can place schools in breach of federal and
state statutes, ensuing expensive fines. 2. (a) Define the terms disability and handicap. (b) How do
these two terms differ? Why is that difference important to you as a future teacher? A disability is the
source of a handicap. In support of this, case in point, the condition of a person s disability that they
have put a stop to them from being able to move about their legs, it may consequence handicap their
driving abilities. A disabled person does not have to be handicapped, especially if they can uncover a
method around their disability. In favor of this example,

Bridgeport Middle School Naturalistic Observation
During my naturalistic observation, I was at my sister s softball game at the field behind Bridgeport
Middle School. There were two identical twins little girls, who were three years old, playing together
in the practice batting cage. In the beginning, they were walking around together, eating popsicles
while they watched two other older kids, a boy and a girl most likely around the age range of five to
seven, chasing each other. The older kids were playing tag and invited the twins to join them. From
their facial expressions, it was obvious they were thrilled to play with them; however they were
hesitant to run and chase the older kids. They stood at the starting location and watched as the other
kids raced back and forth, and had to move

The Deregulation Of The Electricity Market
What deregulation means
The term liberalization or deregulation generally refers to the abolition of rights of monopolies,
creating a competitive market that guarantees fair prices for the consumers and efficient economic cost
of supplying electricity. Three economic conditions are a prerequisite to a competitive market in order
to achieve a successful transformation from a highly regulated monopolistic to a transparent and
deregulated market:
Free consumer choice: consumers must be able to freely choose their electric energy supplier after
having compared prices and services of competing electricity supply companies),
Third party access (TPA): free and competitive market has to guarantee unimpeded access to
transmission and distribution networks for companies which do not own them. Otherwise, competition
in the electricity market would not be possible due to the physical characteristics and the natural
monopolistic market design within the sector
Unbundling: transmission and distribution networks have to be separated from the generation and
retail business of vertically integrated utilities
Description of the electricity market
First of all, it is to mention that the electricity sector is a comparatively complex one. This complexity
and singularity can be explained on the basis of three categories: constituent parts of the sector,
physical characteristics and the specific market design.
1) Constituent parts of the electricity sector

Essay Pro Euthanasia
When someone is inevitably dying and in inexplicable pain is it really a crime to grant their wishes
and end their suffering? As of right now euthanasia is illegal in many countries and is a very
controversial topic. Is it compassion for the patient helping them in ending their life or murder? The
doctor is not giving death as an option, it is the patients choice and even where it is legal there are
many rules. Euthanasia should not be considered a crime because the patient is not being murdered;
they are having their suffering end in a painless, humane way out of compassion for the patient and
their family.
Euthanasia is defined by the World Book Millennium 2000 encyclopaedia as, the practise of painlessly

The reason to legalize euthanasia is clear, these people need to have the choice to die with dignity.
Dr. Jack Kevorkian more commonly known as Dr. Death is greatly known for his opinion that
euthanasia should be legalized and his work with patients seeking help. He was very important in
showing euthanasia and voicing his opinion on the subject so the public could not ignore the
importance of the matter. Dr. Kevorkian was said to have been involved with 130 suicides by patients
who wanted to end their own lives (Nicol and Wylie 17). He had two machines he used to help the
patients, one an injection and the other a mask, however both machines were operated by the patient
and although Dr. Kevorkian was taken to court many times for these he was not convicted because the
patient was in control. He was very careful as to not actually commit the act himself until he was
contacted by Thomas Youk, a young with Lou Gheric s disease; Lou Gheric s disease is when the
muscle stop working and eventually the patient chokes to death. Tom s condition prevented him from
actually operating the machines and therefore Dr. Kevorkian decided that he would operate the
machine himself because he cared greatly about all his patients and could not let Tom live in his
constant fear (Nicol and Wylie 11). Dr. Kevorkian taped Tom s wishes and then himself hooking up

Dialysis Clinical Paper
There are a number of different kinds of staff at a standard dialysis clinic. On Thursday when I went,
there was a RN who was pretty much in charge of the unit and she had several LPNs and a tech who
worked under her guidance. The LPNs and the tech did much of the patient contact work. Like getting
a client weighted and into their chair, setting up the dialysis lines and connecting everything up, and
monitoring the patient while they were dialyzed. The RN was no less busy as she was constantly
running around checking on patines and getting different meds together for them. A few hours later, a
doctor did come in and see a few patients and then he retired behind a desk for the remainder of the

One of the LPN s had to check the water for Chlorine every couple of hours by filling up a tube with
the water and then dropping a few drops of some chemical into the water tube. She said that if it
turned color, it was a positive test and that they would have to take all the patients off their dialysis
machines immediately. She said that each dialysis unit has their own water filtration and cleansing
process.
There are really a lot of legal and ethical aspects you can think about with ESRD and dialysis.
Because dialysis will never actually cure someone, it is really only cleansing/filtering their blood
prolonging their life. Because of that, the ethical problems you run into are much like the problems
you run into when using a ventilator or something like that. The dilemma of those who may be illegal
or who have no insurance being about to abuse the system and take a trip to the ER for a free dialysis

How Did Castro Win The Cuban Revolution
Cuban culture has undergone a major transformation since the revolution... Says Sandra H. Levinson,
an author. The revolution had a positive impact on Cuba. However, Cuba had to go through a lot to
win the Revolution. The Cuban Revolution began in 1952 when a former army sergeant named
Fulgencio Batista seized power during a contested election. Fulgencio was the elected president of
Cuba from 1940 to 1944 and dictator from 1952 to 1959. Another one of Cuba s important men is
Fidel Castro. Castro is a Cuban politician and revolutionary who governed the Republic of Cuba. Fidel
and his partner Che Guevara were both in charge of the Cuban Revolution, and made the isolated
Moncada Barracks his target. Castro estimated the trip would take 5 days. However, due to engine
problems, him and his men arrived late in broad daylight. On the morning of July 23, 1953, Castro
made his move, but he needed weapons, and he got them. 138 men attacked the Moncada at dawn,
many were captured. Although Castro attacked the Moncada, it was a total failure. Some Cubans

Similarities Between Halloween And Samhain
When Was the First Halloween?
There has never been a time in modern civilization that we haven t had a Halloween celebration. For
the past 2,000 years, various cultures around the world have participated in observing the holiday.
Different cultures introduce their own traditions and carry out preexisting traditions. The cycle has
been continuous for a couple thousand years, but where did it all come from?
When Was the First Halloween?
The first documented instance of Halloween was found in Irish and Scottish historical documents that
placed the first mentioning of Halloween type celebrations about 2,000 years ago. This celebration
was the Celtic holiday of Samhain. Samhain was a very important holiday for the Celtic people. These
people were entirely dependent on the land for survival. This dependency demonstrated itself with the
number of nature gods that the Celtic people worshipped. During Samhain, it was assumed that ...

While some of the traditions have changed over the years, the same fundamental traditions are still
observed in modern times. Historians backed up their claims because of the similarities between
Halloween and Samhain.
Costumes: Costumes are a very specific Halloween tradition, but it was the participants of Samhain
that wore costumes first. The Celts believed that spirits could come back to the land of the living
during Samhain, and they would dress like supernatural creatures in order to blend in. They believed
that dressing up kept them safe because they could fool the ghost into thinking that they were
supernatural. Costumes were handmade until the 1920 s when companies found that Halloween was a
very profitable time of year, and decided to start mass producing costumes.
Trickery: Samhain was a time where the youth of the group would participate in trickery, much like
we see during Halloween today. Minor incidences of vandalism were reported with both

Persuasive Essay On Juvenile Delinquency
Suzzie and her two friends are outside playing around when Suzzie decides that she want to play
doorbell ditching. So eventually they go around the neighborhood and get a few houses playing
doorbell ditching. When they approached their last house that owner caught them. Suzzie explained to
him that they were playing pranks because they were bored and the neighbor told them he did the
same thing when he was younger so he understands. It would be different if Suzzie and her friends
were bored and they decided to torture a cat for the fun of it. At a young age, it was normal to do little
pranks such as doorbell ditching or throwing water balloons at people. Those actions are not
considered mischievous behavior. On the other hand, Suzzie and her friends torturing a cat could be an
early sign of juvenile delinquency. To help eliminate crime I believe we need to first target the
juveniles. It starts at an early age and continues from there.
What exactly is juvenile delinquency? It is a violation of the law committed by a juvenile and not
punishable by death or life imprisonment. We must first decipher the difference between a child being
a child and playing little pranks and a child doing something that is punishable by law. Don t get me
wrong, sometimes children do stuff that they know they re not supposed to do and it takes that one
time for them to get caught and get in trouble by an adult or an officer. Sometimes them getting in
trouble is just an adult explaining to them that their actions are wrong. Every child has had that happen
to them when they were younger.
Early detection of juvenile delinquency can sometimes help stop a major problem before it happens.
But how are you able to detect this behavior in a child? According to the NCJRS, they have identified
a few warning signs that are of importance to pay attention to. These signs are: Disruptive behavior
that is either much more frequent or more severe than what other children in the same age group
display. Disruptive behavior, such as temper tantrums and aggression, that persists beyond the terrible
twos and threes. And lastly, a history of aggressive, inattentive, or sensation seeking behavior in the
preschool years.

It s actually fairly uncommon for a dalmatian to have complete hearing in both ears, I think it s like a

Rappaccini s Daughter Analysis
Rappaccini s Daughter, written by Nathaniel Hawthorne, is a short story about how beauty is within
and not just physical. When Hawthorne was four years old his father was in an accident and died on
the scene, leaving his mother to raise him and his siblings alone. Thus, leading him to have respect for
all women, and it is reflected in the story. For instance, the main character Beatrice is this aesthetic,
sweet, and a naïve woman and Giovanni is just focused more on her beauty rather than anything else.
Moreover, when Giovanni first sees Beatrice in the garden, he describes her as the most beautiful
woman he s ever seen and is just blinded by her beauty. What he doesn t know is that her father,
Doctor Rappaccini, is a scientist who cares more about science more than anything else. The place
where Beatrice and Giovanni spend all their time together is in the garden, which represents loneliness
, and unfortunately one of the main characters will learn that the hard way. When Giovanni meets
Professor Baglioni, a professor of medicine who is Rappaccini s rival he helps him get Beatrice, or at
least that s what Giovanni thinks. However, what Giovanni does not know is that the love of his life
isn t who he thinks she is. Beatrice Rappaccini is the daughter of a scientist who is experimenting with
plants, and they have a beautiful garden in the backyard. She is the most beautiful woman that
Giovanni has ever seen and people around the village agree that she is beautiful, but nobody knows
the real her, they just notice her appearance. She is full of life, full of energy, and her heart is so big
and there isn t a drop of evilness in her body. For an instance, the reptile contorted itself violently, and
then lay motionless in the sunshine. Beatrice observed this remarkable phenomenon, and crossed
herself (Hawthorne 411). When people cross themselves it s because they re at a funeral, something
horrible just happened to one, or someone important to them. Beatrice and Giovanni spend all their
time together in the garden and it symbolizes a place of isolation and beauty because the flowers are
poisonous but beautiful. For example, a shrub catches his eye from the color, which is purple, and its

Analysis Of Jack London s The Call Of The Wild
Have people ever thought about writing style? Or about different literary movements? There are many
different kinds of writing styles, along with many different literary movements. Authors choose the
writing style they want, and whether or not to be in a movement. Jack London was one of these
authors. He chose to be a part of the naturalism movement. Naturalism is a literary movement with the
belief that humans and animals being shaped by their environment. He then chose to use indirect
discourse in one of his most popular books The Call of the Wild. Free Indirect Discourse is when the
reader knows the thoughts of the main character while having a third person view. Free indirect
discourse can differ from direct discourse because it allows third and first person rather than just third
person. The use of indirect discourse in Jack London s work emphasizes the naturalist movement on
humans industrialization. The environment that Jack London grew up in helped to shape his
naturalistic writing style. Jack London grew up in San Francisco with his mother and step father. He
was raised by an ex slave because his mother was sick. When he was a teenager he worked many jobs
including sailing on a sealing ship, pirating for oysters, and many more. When he returned home at

The Industrial Revolution Of The Late Nineteenth And Early...
The industrial revolution of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century served as the impetus to
the creation of new technologies that helped interconnect various parts of the world. In essence,
technology was crucial to the development of a globalized economy. With the development of a global
economy companies began to expand beyond national borders and cater to citizens around the world

order to market their products to airlines in various regions of the world. PepsiCo Inc. was established
in 1965 with the merger of Pepsi Cola and Frito Lay. Ever since, the company has been expanding its
line of products via acquiring other companies and creating new brands. For example, PepsiCo
introduced the Doritos brand of tortilla chips in 1966, which became an instant hit. Furthermore, in
1998 PepsiCo acquired Tropicana Products. Over the past 50 years, PepsiCo has entered over 200

Essay On Shipping Container Home
How to Insulate Shipping Container Home The reason to insulate shipping container home Shipping
container home is a new emerging industry for those looking for something new, sleek, modern,
affordable structure but strong and quick deployed. However, as shipping container home is quite new,
few concerns remain to be responded in order to gain people s trust in its reliability. One of the main
concerns is the insulation. The shipping container is actually built for cargo shipping, it is weather

External insulation helps you to not reduce your internal space. It prevents hot or cold weather to
reach the steel surface thus maintaining the internal space relatively conditioned. It also keeps the

conditioned but the external surface remains vulnerable to water and moisture which lead to corrosion
in the welding parts, though the containers are initially specially epoxy paint treated in order to resist
humidity in ports and though ocean conditions. However, there are a third option; combination of
internal and external. Besides you use internal insulation, we highly recommend those living in hot or
rainy climate areas to have a second roof and wall sidings in order to make the external more aesthetic
but foremost, it helps you greatly to save the container shell from direct sunshine in hot climate and
corrosion and likely leakage in rainy conditions. What type of insulation should be used? There are
various types of insulation products. Most of our customers choose to go with Fiberglass material
insulation which is the same type of insulation you find in many conventional homes. As shown in the
chart above, at a thickness of 3 ½ , it

Analyzing Mission Command Principles Of Gen Braxton Bragg CHICKAMAUGA: Analyzing Mission Command Principles of GEN Braxton Bragg According to Army ADP 6 0, mission command is the exercise of authority and direction by the commander, using mission orders to enable disciplined initiative within the commander s intent, to empower agile and adaptive leaders in the conduct of unified land operations (CAPE, 2012). Effective mission command can generally be analyzed according to the six principles outlined in ADRP 6 0. The six principles of mission command are to: build cohesive teams through mutual trust, create shared understanding, provide a clear commander s intent, exercise disciplined initiative, use mission orders, and accept prudent risk (CAPE, 2012). It was General Bragg s lack of confidence, previous performances, and relationships with his subordinate commanders that ultimately caused the battle plan to not be executed correctly. Bragg was unable to successfully implement the first principle of mission command: build cohesive teams through mutual trust. He also had a history of not utilizing the sixth principle of mission command: take prudent risk. Bragg s lack of competence regarding these two mission command principles ultimately set conditions for a poor mission command climate within General Bragg s unit. Bragg s sub commanders, Generals Hindman, Buckner, Polk, Longstreet, and Hill were all skeptical of Bragg s leadership and battle plans from his previous campaign at Chattanooga, where he retreated from the city. Bragg was well known for retreating at the first Battle of Chattanooga, and also for predictably employing frontal assault offensive tactics. His history of predictable plans, retreats, and inability to take prudent risk, caused his subordinate leaders to lose trust in his ability to plan and lead his army. One of Bragg s sub commanders, General Hill, stated He was silent and reserved and seemed gloomy and despondent. He had grown prematurely old since I saw him last, and showed much nervousness. They are the primary food source for many species of whales, seals, penguins and fish. Studies have shown that stocks of krill in Antarctica have declined dramatically in recent years. The reason for this is likely to be a fall in the amount of sea ice in the winter months in the Antarctic Peninsula region. Krill numbers in this region may have dropped by as much as 80% since the 1970 s so today s stocks are a mere 1/5th of what they were only 30 years ago. The decline in krill may in turn account for the decline in the numbers of some penguin species. In the early life stages krill require ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The blue light from the sky would thus be light scattered to the sides, while the reddish light would be light that passes through the lower layers of the atmosphere and which has become impoverished in blue rays owing to scattering. Later, in 1899, Rayleigh threw out the suggestion that the phenomenon in question might be due to the fact that the molecules of air themselves exercised a scattering effect on the rays of light. In 1914 Cabannes succeeded in showing experimentally that pure and dustless gases also have the capacity of scattering rays of light. But a closer examination of scattering in different substances in solid, liquid, or gaseous form showed that the scattered light did not in certain respects exactly follow the laws which, according to calculation, should hold good for the Tyndall effect. The hypothesis which formed the basis of this effect would seem to involve, amongst other things, that the rays scattered to the sides were polarized. This, however, did not prove to be exactly the case. This divergence from what was to be expected was made the starting point of a searching study of the nature of scattered light, in which study Raman was one of those who took an active part. Raman sought to find the explanation of the anomalies in asymmetry observed in the molecules. During these ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. A Research Study On Biotechnology Essay The scientists who are conducting biotechnology research from the government grant like NIH, they have to deal with the government before their research take place from thoughts to laboratory and laboratory to in the real field. They have to prove the subject safety during each stage of the research from pre clinical to clinical phase I to phase IV to the regulatory agencies. Biotechnology research experts put maximum efforts to follow the regulatory mechanism than any other technology users. There is no evidence that biotechnology carriages additional risk, but there are uncertainties that concern the public. Biotechnology product put the same risk on subjects as the airplane put on travellers. The cost of new biologic product development through the approval is approximately $2.6 Billion, means $2600 million plus the cost of post marketing surveillance is $312 million, which is many times higher than one Airbus A380 800 that cost $428 million. The regulatory program may differ for different field of biotechnology. The plant related biotechnology researches are rolling fast, and some potential products are in the pipeline with less requirement comparable to animal based and human base biotechnology products. However, it can lead to serious complications. It can cause genital warts, bumps in the genital area that can vary in size and are often painful and itchy. Furthermore, HPV can cause several cancers such as cervical, oropharyngeal, or cancers of the genitals (vulva, vagina, or penis). These cancers often don t appear for years after contraction of the virus. Only an average of 10% of men and 5 30% of women develop symptoms. The most common symptom in women is cervicitis (inflammation of the cervix) or urethritis (inflammation of the urethra). If left untreated the infection can spread to the uterus or fallopian tubes, possibly resulting in pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). Pelvic inflammatory disease can damage the reproductive tract and cause infertility issues. In pregnant women, this STD can increase the chance of premature birth and complications such as pneumonia in the baby. Symptomatic men most often experience urethritis, and sometimes epididymitis, an inflammation of a tube near the testicles responsible for storing sperm. Both men and women can experience rectal pain or discharge. Lastly, both men and women can develop reactive arthritis that is accompanied by urethritis and conjunctivitis (pinkeye); combining to create Reiter s Syndrome. Chlamydia can be transmitted via contact with infected persons penis, vagina, anus, or mouth. Alternately, it can be spread from a pregnant woman to her baby during birth. The systems at risk of being affected by chlamydia are the reproductive systems of both men and women (reproductive tract, epididymis), urinary system (urethra), and even skeleton system as with reactive arthritis. Chlamydia can be readily cured with antibiotics. Any damage done by the disease, such as damage contracted during a bout of pelvic inflammatory disease, will remain after treatment. Because they are highly defensive and will attack perceived intruders more readily than the common European honeybee, they are also known by the popular name of killer bees. Brazilian scientists imported African honeybee queens in the 1950 s in order to breed a honeybee for use in tropical climates. Some swarms escaped into the wild. Because they were highly adapted for tropical survival and had no natural competitors, they thrived and spread rapidly through South America, extending their range by as much as 500 km (300 mi) per year. Africanized honey bees are not expected to have the same impact in the United States because of advanced beekeeping technology and climatic limitations on the spread of the species. Africanization of beehives can be prevented by the annual introduction of new European queens to each colony. Africanized honeybees have increased the number of human deaths due to bee stings in Mexico and Argentina and probably in other countries. In the United States, however, although more people have been stung by bees since 1990, no more bee related deaths than usual have been recorded. Conclusions: The idea of killer bees is one that is created more by the media and misinformation than actual fact. Killer bees rarely if ever kill a victim. In addition, a killer bee scare in the United States would be completely unfounded and unnecessary. General precautions that are usually taken with the domesticated honeybee will suffice in protecting oneself against the Africanized honeybee. The Africanized honeybee has, for the most part, reached a climatic limitation in the United States and will not pose a threat to the northern areas of the country. In most cases medical cannabis is not ingested as an inhalant but instead as an orally administered oil. Another common argument against cannabis is damage caused to the hippocampus which can cause short and long term memory impairment, very real side effects that should be considered and monitored for carefully, but studies have discovered the potential to combat these issues with the use of non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen (Welberg). Thus, while planning these shadowing experiences, I ensured that I did not visit on a testing day. For this experience, I chose to visit an elementary school and its feeder middle school. I chose this because students leave this elementary school with a high rate of student achievement, yet in middle school the scores plummet. I wanted to investigate how this gap could be minimized. On the morning of July 23, 1953, Castro made his move, but he needed weapons, and he got them. 138 men attacked the Moncada at dawn, many were captured. The first documented instance of Halloween was found in Irish and Scottish historical documents that placed the first mentioning of Halloween type celebrations about 2,000 years ago. The Celts believed that spirits could come back to the land of the living during Samhain, and they would dress like supernatural creatures in order to blend in. They believed that dressing up kept them safe because they could fool the ghost into thinking that they were supernatural. So eventually they go around the neighborhood and get a few houses playing doorbell ditching. When they approached their last house that owner caught them. Suzzie explained to him that they were playing pranks because they were bored and the neighbor told them he did the same thing when he was younger so he understands. It would be different if Suzzie and her friends were bored and they decided to torture a cat for the fun of it. At a young age, it was normal to do little pranks such as doorbell ditching or throwing water balloons at people. Those actions are not considered mischievous behavior. On the other hand, Suzzie and her friends torturing a cat could be an early sign of juvenile delinquency. To help eliminate crime I believe we need to first target the juveniles. It starts at an early age and continues from there. What exactly is juvenile delinquency? It is a violation of the law committed by a juvenile and not punishable by death or life imprisonment. We must first decipher the difference between a child being a child and playing little pranks and a child doing something that is punishable by law. Don t get me wrong, sometimes children do stuff that they know they re not supposed to do and it takes that one time for them to get caught and get in trouble by an adult or an officer. Sometimes them getting in trouble is just an adult explaining to them that their actions are wrong. Every child has had that happen to them when they were younger. Early detection of juvenile delinquency can sometimes help stop a major problem before it happens. But how are you able to detect this behavior in a child? According to the NCJRS, they have identified a few warning signs that are of importance to pay attention to. These signs are: Disruptive behavior that is either much more frequent or more severe than what other children in the same age group display. Disruptive behavior, such as temper tantrums and aggression, that persists beyond the terrible twos and threes. And lastly, a history of aggressive, inattentive, or sensation seeking behavior in the preschool years. First things first ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
