Apple Inc. is an innovative designer and manufacturer of consumer electronics. The

Apple Computer, Inc. In January 2007, Steve Jobs, co founder and CEO, announced
that the company name was being changed to Apple Inc. This move reflected Apple s
shift from personal computers to consumer electronics and mobile phones. The
company revolutionized digital music industry through iPod portable music players

The iPhone was an instant hit among the consumers and 525,000 iPhones were sold
during the first weekend following its launch (BBC News, 2007). Steve Job was
proven right as some 50% of iPhone purchasers replaced another phone, 24%
replaced a Motorola RAZR, 14% replaced a Windows mobile device and 20%
replaced a BlackBerry or Palm (Mohr, Sengupta Slater, 2004)
The iPhone was introduced in two versions, 8 GB and 4 GB model. The 8 GB
model was priced $ 599 while the 4 GB iPhone was worth $ 499. The iPhone buyer
also got a two year contract with AT T costing $59.99 per month (minimum). The 4
GB model of iPhone was discontinued while the price of the 8 GB model was cut
down by $ 200 (to $ 399) in September 2007, barely two months after its initial
launch. Consumers who had bought the product were dissatisfied at this price cut
within such a short period of time. Steve Jobs took notice of the growing indignation
and in an open letter to all customers, announced a $100 store credit to all iPhone
customers not receiving any rebates etc.
On 11 June 2008, Apple launched iPhone 3G. Apple indulged in a series of price
cuts. It first reduced the price of its iPhone from $399 to $199. On 19th June 2009,
Apple released yet another new and speedier version of its Smartphone called iPhone
3 GS. Prices of the new iPhone 3GS were set at $199 for 16GB
How Did Obama Use Ethical Issues
President Ronald Reagan faced issues similar to what Obama is facing now;
however, Reagan handled them more professionally and with more success. Obama
is going about solving the United States issues poorly; he should be using methods
similar to Reagan s instead. Ronald Reagan was able to bring an end to the Cold War
with tough negotiations and stand his ground for what he believed was right.
Obama is faced with a war against ISIS and if he doesn t start taking actions to help
protect the U.S., like keeping terrorists from entering the U.S., we could be faced
with majors problems. When Reagan was president 35 years years ago, he was faced
with harsh economic and foreign issues, primarily because of the Cold War. The
United Statescurrent president, Barack Obama, faces similar issues regarding the
economy and disputes with foreign countries. However, Reagan was more superior

As a result, Obama decided to sue Arizona, Utah, Alabama, and South Carolina for
enacting laws that dealt with this problem. Also, Obama has ignored the fact that the
11 million undocumented immigrants, out of a population of 311 million, alone are
causing a security crisis that requires immediate attention. When Obama tried to
solve this problem, he just caused even more deaths at the United States border.
Also, his defense cuts led to the United States national debt being $1 trillion. The
United States Army, Air Force and Marine Corps have been depleting. Dwindling
personnel incentives, like cuts to tuition assistance for college courses to increased
costs for retiree health care, will make military careers decidedly less desirable.
Throughout 2011, President Obama has continued to degrade our national security,
acting out his vision of a utopia, a world led by the United Nations, with no
superpowers or nuclear weapons
Huckleberry Finn Racism Quotes Analysis
In addition, both Twain and Pyle use discrimination as a motif in their story lines to
further solidify the relationships between the characters. Being that Jim is a black
man in a southern country, he is completely discriminated against and it s for that
reason that Huck comes to Jim s rescue a number of times during their adventures
and is a key factor in their survival; during nighttime, Huck goes into town to buy
provisions and supplies. In the mornings, he slips into cornfields to borrow, produce
while Jim waits on the raff because he cannot be seen on land without drawing
suspicion. This demonstrates that it s not only Huck that depends on Jim to play the
paternal role but also Jim that depends on Huck as the provider. It s the... Show more

During Huck and Jim s travel down the river, they meet several people that prove
to be obstacles in their overall goal to freedom. One of the more significant
antagonists in Huck Finn is Pap, Huck s drunken father, By and by re rolled out
and jumped up on his feet looking wild... He chased me round and round with a
clasp knife, calling me the Angel of Death, and saying that he would kill me.
(Twain 29). This event is essentially what finally made Huck abandon any desire he
had left to be part of society and instead to stand on his own morals and not let
society dictate what he does. Pap is the reason that Huck and Jim first met on the
island and he is virtually what started their adventure. Also Pap s next appearance
in the book plays an essential role in the bonding of Huck and Jim. As previously
mentioned throughout the story readers see how Jim takes the fatherly role, well
that all began when Pap s dead body washed up in a house on shore and Jim
protects Huck from the pain of seeing his dead father. All this to say that Pap one of
the major antagonists in the story, plays a big role in strengthening the bond between
Huck and Jim. This bond eventually becomes the reason for why Huck is unable to
turn in his friend; thus once again proving that self morals are more influential than
society s ethics. To continue, like Pap, Prince John has no regards for the feelings
I Am A Peace At The Vail Valley Medical Center After...
To begin, I want to clarify that I am not sharing this because I seek sympathy, I am
rather sharing this because I feel that I owe a sincere explanation to you all.
My father was admitted to the Vail Valley Medical Center after suffering from
withdrawal symptoms from alcoholism on June 21st, 2015 (Father s Day), one week
before I left for the United States Naval Academy. Within the first week of Plebe
Summer I learned that he had almost passed away after developing a staph
infection and that Flight For Life Colorado had to transport him to a larger
hospital in Denver. During Plebe Summer I also learned that my grandfather,
whom I had been extremely close with, had passed away on July 14th, 2015. I
missed the funeral that was held on July 21st, 2015 in Durango because I was in
Annapolis, and I was therefore unable to be there for my grandmother. These two
events reinforced how much I value my family and my proximity to them. I made
the difficult decision to depart the United States Naval Academy because I felt that
I needed to be in Colorado to support my family, especially my mother and my 14
year old brother. I want you all to know that I do not place any blame on my father
for what happened. He decided to quit drinking alcohol solely for the reason that he
wanted to be sober in order to give me the the best possible final week at home. It
was an act of love that turned into disaster, despite his pure intentions. If you know
him you are extremely fortunate, and I truly
Battle Of Britain Advantages And Disadvantages
In the summer and fall of 1940, the first major air battle of history took place after
the Fall of France in World War 2. The British fought to defend their skies against
the force of the Germans. The Battle of Britain also marked the first major defeat
of Hitler s military forces during the war, with air superiority seen as the key to
victory. England and Germany viewed air power in different ways. Germany viewed
air power as support for ground forces and had no strategic bomber development.
Meanwhile, the British had an independent military service called the Royal Air Force
(RAF). The RAF had a fighter command and a bomber command. Operation Sealion
was the German plan to invade England. They gathered ships and barges in Northern
France ports to transport their invasion forces across the English Channelby ferries.
Along with this, three Luftflotte, (air fleets) were assigned to the operation. What
the Germans needed was to neutralize the Royal Air Force and gain air superiority in
order to successfully invade Great Britain. The task was given to Hermann Göring,
Air Marshall of the German Luftwaffe. However, there was one downside to this
operation; the RAF must be neutralized before autumn storms made the crossing of
the English Channel impossible. The advantages and disadvantages of both the
British and Germans played key components in The Battle of Britain. The British had
too few high performing Spitfires and too many Hurricanes. They did not have
enough trained
Biogas Advantages And Disadvantages
To develop an appropriate biogas purification technology for small scale anaerobic
digesters various commercially available large scale purification methods are
verified. The pros and cons of each available technology are discussed to utilize it in
small biogas plant.
The available purification technologies are
a) Water and polyethylene glycol scrubbing b) Chemical absorption c) Pressure swing
adsorption d) Membrane e) Cryogenic separation
Water and polyethylene glycol scrubbing Water scrubbing is used to remove CO2
and H2S from biogas since these gases are more soluble in water than methane. The
absorption process is purely physical process. Usually the biogas is pressurized and
fed to the bottom of a packed column while water is fed on the top. So the absorption
process operated counter currently. The water, which exits the column with absorbed
CO2 can be regenerated and re circulated back to the absorption column. Polyethylene
glycol scrubbing relies on the same underlying mechanism as water scrubbing, with a
physical absorption process that works because both CO2 and H2S more soluble than
methane in the solvent.
Figure 1 (OKOBIT Biogas, n.d.)
Page | 4 The advantages of scrubbing are no special chemicals are required and
removal of both CO2 and H2S. The disadvantages of water and glycol scrubbing are
that it requires a lot of water even with regeneration (Q.Zhao, E.Leonhardt,

Asian-American Women Stereotypes
As an Asian American woman, I want to see better representation for the Asian
community; if media is supposed to reflect the real world, then there is no excuse
for leaving Asians out in American films. I want to dissect why Asians are still
marginalized and stereotyped today when there is a demand for more diversity in
media. In addition, I want to cover the history behind the stereotyping and
whitewashing of Asians in Hollywood and how that still has a negative impact
today. In fact, recent movies have white washed Asian roles in favor of white actors.
In May 2015, Sony released Aloha, where Emma Stone portrayed Allison Ng, a part
Chinese Hawaiian fighter pilot. This blatant erasure is also evident in Dreamworks
casting of Scarlett Johansson... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Movies produced in the later half of the twentieth century still suffered from
stereotypes set by films from years ago. In Year of the Dragon (1985), Tracy Tzu,
despite being a professional newscaster, was also portrayed as seductive and
mysterious, manhandled and dominated by the Caucasian hero, Stanley White, as
he overpowers her and carries her off to bed like a trophy (Rajgopal, 2010, p. 149).
These stereotypes of Asian women in film feed into the stereotypes of Asian
women offscreen, and being perceived as exotic and submissive contributes to a
higher risk of sexual assault, as if they are somehow asking for it (Rajgopal, 2010).
The portrayal of Asians matched with the progression of history showed America
was projecting its fear and othering Asians through media. If Asians are not
portrayed in a stereotypical role, then they are given no role at all, rendered
invisible by Hollywood and the masses. Because the West was not hugely exposed
to the East, the easiest way to generalize Eastern people was to build fictional
characters of an extreme (Wang, 2010, p. 86). Asians were not talked about, and
when they were, it was through caricatures and
Patient Cloning System
Electronic health records (EHRs) are becoming more common among health care
facilities every day. They are intended to increase both the quality and usefulness of
documentation (AHIMA Work Group, 2013). There are many features that make
EHRs user friendly and can decrease work time for clinicians. However, some of
these same features, if not used properly, can cause a decrease in the integrity of the
record. It is important that providers are aware of these risks and are educate on
using the computerize records properly.

By removing old documentation, the chart is being altered incorrectly. However, if
the information is not removed, the current instructions given to the patient are
inaccurate and puts the patient at risk. To rectify this situation, I believe the discharge
documentation in our system needs to be totally revamped. Each set of discharge
instructions should be unique to that specific visit. Old information, accurate or
inaccurate, should not be taken from previous visits for the current visit. The pulling
of old information should be an option for the user, not something that automatically
happens. I believe this needs to be brought to the attention of our IT staff as soon as
possible so the records can stop being inaccurately changed, but most of all for our
patient s safety. Giving patients the incorrect information upon discharge can cause
great harm. People don t always here what their provider says, so the refer to the
instructions when they get home. If they see an old medication, they may think that
they must have missed the doctor telling them to take. Rather than calling for
clarification, they may inadvertently start taking a mediation that is not necessary or
that could interact poorly with a current
Lady Macbeths Downfall
In Shakespeare s Macbeth, Lady Macbeth devises a cunning plan to murder King
Duncan in order for Macbeth ascend to the throne. Lady Macbeth says We fail!/ but
screw your courage to the sticking place/ and we will not fail . Lady Macbeth is
telling Macbeth that they cannot fail, but because Macbeth and Lady Macbethdeduce
that power is more important than one s conscience, their scheme does not
materialize as they speculated. The Macbeths fail in their quest for power because
they underestimate nature, one s conscience, and man s fallibility.
In Macbeth, Lady Macbeth says unsex me here when she is about to fulfill the plan.
Lady Macbeth is asking the spirits to strip away everything that makes her a woman,
in order for her to achieve her malicious end. Traditionally, femininity is synonymous
with compassion, maternal instincts, and kindness whereas masculinity is
synonymous with independence, tenacity, and assertiveness. It is in Lady Macbeth s
nature to be motherly and gentle and she cannot change her nature in order to make
herself feel better about the horrible actions she plans to commit. Lady Macbeth
attempts to overrule her feminine nature, which is foolhardy and one of the causes of
her dismay. Another reason why the Macbeth s plan goes awry is because Macbeth
and Lady Macbeth think they could justify ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

apparent that Macbeth and Lady Macbeth lack such

well as individual and organizational requirements (M Wills (1998) p27). TNA has
wide ranging ramifications on other aspects of Human Resource Development
(HRD) as well as Training and Development (T D). It is obvious that the best talent
is attracted to organizations that provide conducive, proper and structured T D
programs that add value to an employee s experience as he/she gradually moves up
the corporate ladder. Hence, TNA plays an instrumental role by identifying an
individual s Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Others ( KSAOs ) gaps and
Michael Corleone Character Analysis Essay
III. Characters
A.The Godfather
Michael Corleone, the youngest son of Vito Corleone, initially doesn t want to
have anything to do with his family. He is apparently a law abiding citizen and is
evidently a war veteran. He seems to be a good natured and tries to avoid
identifying with Corleone activites, yet is fiercely loyal to his family, especially to
his father. He is called by his peers as a civilian and refuses to acknowledge him as a
criminal. Wnating to live an ordinary life was his choice, until an incident where he
botched an assassination attempt on their patriarch; Vito Corleone, led to Michael
trying to return the favor to Sollozo and McClusckey. This will eventually lead him
entangled with the family affairs. With the family trying to prevent a war between
other families, Michael starts to become more and more involved. His vengeful

He is intelligent, clever and an excellent speaker. Like the tagline of the movie, he
frequently makes an offer he can t refuse . Another trait is his ability to read
people, especially during Bonasera s plea to the don. He is also a ruthless person,
if he cannot deal with words, guns and bullets will. Even with his supposed evil, he
is seen as many as a very loving father and many people love him. He was clearly
hurt when he found out Michael gunned down Sollozo and McClusckey, indicating
he loved Michael that he didn t want his son to be part of any crime. He is able to
separate blood and water, and embrace them both, evident when he adopted and
raised Tom Hagen like he was a son. He also show a deep sense of morality, not
agreeing to the dawning drug business at first, and when he did agree, he proposed
that it should never be sold to kids and near schools. Near the end of his life, he
became more relaxed and was able to enjoy his remaining

THEORY OF LIFE AFTER DEATH
Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into
his nostrils and the breath of life, and the man became a living being. Genesis 2:7.
Life is where we found our purpose, fulfillment and satisfaction in life. Life is seen
in different perspective because people experience it in different ways. Life is the
reason why we are here on earth breathing and kicking. Life is where we find the
meaning of our existence choosing to have relationship with God our Father. Life is
where he challenge us to fulfill his earthly mission. According to all about world

It is the avoidance of death. God is all powerful, all knowing, all good, and present in
everywhere. Then, why God did not allow us to be immortal? Why do we die?
Why can t we just live forever? There are reasons why God did not allow us to be
immortal. He did that for us to know that He is definitely above every little thing.
We are made in His likeness, but we will never be like Him. Another thing is, He is
perfect, and He could not make other things perfect, too. God, himself, is the only
perfect for us to understand that He has more authority. He is always above us. He
allowed mortality and death for us to learn that we could not live without Him. He
also made us mortal so that we can be destroyed if we do not obey Him and His
words. As stated in Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death. But the free gift of
God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. We will only have the ability to be
immortal if we follow and love Him and our neighbors. It helps us follow a path and
guidance to love and take care each
Public Shame, By Hester Pryne During The French
Revolution
Public shame was pervasive through its public executions and social upheaval during
the French Revolution. The French Revolution resulted in over 40,000 deaths, many
by the guillotine where citizens would gather around to savor or loathe the
decapitation of an accused person. No one could escape ignominy caused by the
malfunctions of the four anarchies. Nevertheless, people were publicly executed or
tortured for many false accusations that ended in complete violence and disruption.
The cost of public shamewas futile and if it was not so eminent in the French
Revolution, then possibly there could have been better results. In like manner, the
price of public shame is a detrimental thing that can cause someone to feel so
desperate that their only option is to take their life. Over numerous centuries, there
are various forms of public shame that adulterate the confidence of people who are
the victims. Public shame may not include scaffold or guillotine gatherings as it
did in earlier eras, but can be illustrated in social media posts, news, or articles that
excessively humiliate a person. The impacts of public shame are countlessly
horrific that they eliminate any possible benefits. Hester Pryne in The Scarlet
Letter was publicly shamed and forced to wear an immense A on her bosom for
her sin of adultery which of course led to people labeling her as the biggest sinner in
the world. Rude comments similarly flowed into a modern day case of adultery with
Monica Lewinsky. Her

things is the beautiful seven natural wonders of the world. Who or what decides
what the seven natural wonders are? What are the 7 natural wonders of the world?
What makes the wonders wonders? The 7 wonders are beautiful things in the world
that need to be protected.
When Sir George Everest discovered mount Everest in 1856 the mountain stood at
29,002 feet tall and today now stands 29,029 feet tall but is still growing 25 inches
every year. While mount Everest is beautiful it is also cold and dangerous. The
lowest the temperature can get is 80 degrees fahrenheit. About some two hundred
dead bodies cover the mountain from things like: falls, avalanches, and exposure to
frostbite and there is about one in ten successful summits that end in death. It costs
about 55,500 dollars to climb mount Everest. Some coasts are climbing permits
those can cost 25,00 dollars for a single person and you have to have one befor you

Girl With A Pearl Earring By Johannes Vermeer
Think Piece #2 Pictures
1. The painting I chose is Girl with a Pearl Earring created by Johannes Vermeer. http:

2. In this painting a beautiful young girl is depicted. She is wearing a dress with
headscarf as well as a pearl earring. She is looking to the side with a conflicting
expression on her face. The colors used in this painting are subtle. Vermeer s use of
blue, yellow, and brown are most prominent. The background is set as a dark black
color.
3. Three elements and principles that were used in this painting are; 1. the element of
color was used in a Harmonious way, 2. the element of texture in this painting is
more visual than physical and was used with the repetition of variation, and 3. the
element of line was used in a way that created unity within the painting. ... Show

The elements used in the painting all play a substantial part in the feeling and
meaning behind the art. The way Vermeer used the lighter colors against the black
background makes the girl in the painting seem three dimensional which makes for a
very beautiful effect. Although he only used few colors the intensity is enough to
make her stand out. The use of light also helps to bring out the feeling in her eyes
and face. Something that s very intriguing is how you can t quite tell what her
emotions are. The uses of color and texture really create that veil of
What Role Does Music Play In Early Childhood Education
Music is a core element of the human experience. Unfortunately, many people do not
realize what a vital role music plays in early childhood 121. Below, the early
childhood educators at Over the Rainbow Kids Place in West Henrietta, NY explain
three reasons music is important in early childhood education:
Encourages Creativity: Music is an imaginative art, so encouraging participation in
musical activities will help children develop robust imaginations. From composing
their own melodies and songs to discovering that everyday objects such as sticks and
pots can double as instruments, music provides children with endless opportunities to
develop their creative faculties.
Cultivates Musical Aptitude: Young children possess a natural love for

White drivers were stopped only 10 percent. The disparity will be greater if black
drivers were stopped more frequently than white drivers. There are other disparities
such as searches, tickets, arrests and license suspensions. This research also
showed that white drivers were both ticketed and searched at lower rates than
black and Hispanic drivers. An NBC report based on the Bureau of Justice
Statistics states that Blacks 9.5 percent and Hispanics 8.8 percent were more
likely to be searched than whites 3.6 percent. There were slight but statistically
insignificant declines compared with the 2002 report in the percentages of blacks
and Hispanics searched. Blacks 4.5 percent were more than twice as likely as
whites 2.1 percent to be arrested. Hispanic drivers were arrested 3.1 percent of the

Heart Of Darkness Racist Analysis
When I read Heart of Darkness, I did think it was a racist book. The story revolves
around a character named Marlow, who goes to work in the Congo. The labor for
the company he works for comes from the slavery of the native people. The author,
Joseph Conrad, depicts these people as savages, which is also very racist. Also,
when he refers to them, he uses a racial slur, rather than calling them black people
or finding another way to state that they are not white. Throughout the book Conrad
also depicts a lot of violence towards these people, which I saw as unnecessary since
most of the time it is not explained and does not further develop the story. These are
the reasons why I think Heart of Darknessis racist. The first thing that I noticed in
Heart of Darkness that made me think it is a racist book is the way the black
people are treated and how they are thought of. The native people of the Congo are
considered to be very dangerous. Therefore, they are chained together to work and
are not given basic human rights such as food. Once they have started work, they are
forced to continue until they cannot work any longer. If they are suddenly unable to
work, they are left under a tree to wait until they are capable of working again... Show

This book had a lot of unnecessary violence towards the black people. In the first
chapter, the book depicts a French boat firing onto the shore. This had to do some
harm to the people that were there. Also, the book didn t give any reason why this
happened. The other main mean of unnecessary violence I saw was when Marlow
was on his way to meet with Kurtz. Kurtz orders the natives to attack the ship. Kurtz
would have had to know that the people on the ship would fight back, causing harm
to them. Why was this necessary? It was just another racist device to cause more
unnecessary harm to the black
Examples Of Accidental Single Mom
So here is the deal. I m an accidental single mom. I know that sounds strange. The
truth is I was married and my marriage failed. I d planned my life five years prior
without a safety net. My plan A was my only plan. I was supposed to be married til

The most ironic part of me being an accidental single mom is the fact that this isn t

Oliver Stone Biography
Oliver Stone had his breakthrough in the film industry when he wrote the
screenplay for Midnight Express (1978), directed by Alan Parker. The film was a
hit and earned Stone his first Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, as well
as a shot at directing a major studio movie, The Hand(1981). Stone s directorial
debut was not a success, but he went on to write screenplays for the popular films
Conan the Barbarian (1982) and Scarface(1983).
Stone had a hugely successful year in 1986: He directed Salvador, a political drama
starring James Woods (for which Woods and Stone were nominated for Oscars), and
the Vietnam War drama Platoon, starring Charlie Sheen, Tom Berenger and Willem
Dafoe. Platoon was a critically acclaimed hit with Berenger and ... Show more content

Two years later, Stone worked on the disaster drama World Trade Center (2006),
based on the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in New York. The movie was both
a critical and commercial success.
In 2008, Stone once again returned to the political genre with W., a biopic of U.S.
President George W. Bush (Josh Brolin). South of the Border, a documentary about
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and issues affecting Latin America, was
released the following year. In 2010, Stone reunited with Michael Douglas and
Charlie Sheen for Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, a sequel to his earlier hit. Stone
directed and co wrote the screenplay for the film, which earned him a Golden Globe
nomination.
Stone directed another controversial biopic Snowden (2016) about the story of
Edward Snowden, the former National Security Agency subcontractor who exposed
government surveillance activities to the world, making him a hero to some and a

Essay The Best Man For the Job
The Best Man For the Job
I found Othello, the 1995 film, to be a close adaptation of the written play read in
class, but in the part of Othello there are notable variances between the film and the
written play that may be accounted for by the actor s interpretation of Othello.
Through his persona, Lawrence Fishburn portrayed Othello as commanding more
clout in the film than he did in the written play, and Fishburn portrayed Othello as
having less emotional intimacy with Desdemona in the film than he did in the written
play.
When Othello is summoned before the Duke to answer Brabantio s charges of
thievery, he exhibits much clout, as he appears calm and composed in the filmed

When Othello enters the room there is nothing to signify his demeanor in the
written play, but under the circumstances the reader is lead to think that he would
be the least bit nervous since his life is at stake. Further, as Othello address the
Duke in the written play, the reader sees the humbling words: (1) Most potent,
grave, and reverend signiors, My very noble and approved good masters. These
appear to be the words of one in search of mercy from his judges. Furthermore,
when he recounts his history with Desdemona, there is no sign of him walking over
to Brabantio and looking down on him as he speaks of the history. Rather, the reader
is inclined to think that Othello is addressing the Duke directly because he starts
recount by addressing Brabantio as Her Father . Clearly, without the authoritative
tone of Fishburn s voice, the reader is inclined to see Othello in a state of meekness
rather than clout while he recounts his history with Desdemona to the Duke.
While Fishburn portrays Othello as having much clout in the filmed version, he
portrays Othello as having less emotional intimacy with Desdemona. When Othello
rejoins with Desdemona at Cyprus, he gives her a big hug and two long, passionate
kisses, but he doesn t look into her eyes very long before he is off greeting Montano.
Fishburn appears to show more physical intimacy with Desdemona by greeting her

The Dialectic Of Enlightenment, And The Culture Industry

The Culture Industry laid out in Chapter One of the Dialectic of Enlightenment By
Max Horkheimer and Theodor Adorno. The implications of which will be explored

believe that the capitalist system of domination is an insidious machine that
Horkheimer and Adorno have very accurately fleshed out in relation to the conditions
of capitalist society. They hoped to highlight the extent that which the products we
consume are imposed on us from the industry rather than arising spontaneously from
the masses disguised as demand and I believe they do so very well. However, the
conclusion of the disillusion with enlightenment, the exact purpose of the fragments

Calculus And Similarities Between Newton And Leibniz
In order to dive into precursors to calculus we need to understand exactly what
calculus itself is. So what is it? According to the Merriam Webster dictionary
calculus is defined as a branch of mathematics that deals mostly with rate of change
and with finding lengths, areas, and volumes; it is divided into two types: integral
and differential. The calculus we have come to know and love has been around for
quite some time, dating all the way back to its creation which is credited to Newton
and Leibniz. But what if there was an ancient form of calculus before our modern
calculus? Many ancient civilizations were brilliant and used mathematics in ways
that the people before them never could but is there enough evidence to support the
theory that calculus was not simply the conception of the two rivals Newton and
Leibniz? According to Dr. John H. Lienhard the bare bones of [calculus] had been
hatching before either Newton or Leibniz was born. Ancient Egyptwas one of the
civilizations that was hatching the bare bones of calculus. We will discuss the
problems the ancient Egyptians were trying to solve as well as the methods or
techniques they used and why this leads to the conclusion that neither Newton or
Leibniz should be solely credited with the birth of calculus.
Ancient Egypt has long been a focus for many of us here in the modern world. With
its magnificent architecture, culture, and interesting literature it has baffled the
minds of many great thinkers. It is such
Text Messaging Is A Problem At School
Since the rise of the internet in the 1990s, and the sending of the first text message in
1992, technology has rapidly become essential to our lives in the 21st century. Our
generation relies on phones to communicate instead of just talking in person or
writing a letter. People are so connected to the internet that we forget all the little
things that matter around us. Some say that it does have an impact on literacy, and
others believe that it does not and that it is simply just another form of the English
language. The biggest problem is that text messagingis a problem at school. Slang is
damaging students writing and teachers are worried that children will bring slang
words into the classroom and their writing. Text messaging has become
detrimental to academic literacy. Cellphones have become one of the necessities
in todays modern lifestyle for every teenager and adult. People depend on cell
phones for accomplishing their day to day activities in their professional and
personal lives. Everyday over 5 billion text messages are sent. People are so
engaged in sending things to their friends at a rapid speed. People walk around with
their fingers glued to their phones and not caring about anything else in the world.
Phones are causing this fear that text messaging language will soon replace the
standard English language and young people will become unable to use the language
properly. Most Americans (adults and students) cannot go without their cell phones for
Adderall
Abstract
This paper will look into one of the most commonly used and sought for drugs
found on college campuses in the world today. Adderall and other forms of the smart
drug have become more and more popular when it comes to students and young
professionals trying to get an advantage. It will discuss both the positive and negative
side effects of taking these smart pills along with the specific affects/reasons for
ingesting them whether they are prescribed or not.
Introduction
Adderall, a prescription drug, was first developed to treat patients that suffer from
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), a chronic condition including
attention difficulty, hyperactivity, and impulsiveness. Students and young
professionals that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With this encouragement, I asked the students if they would recommend Adderall
to a fellow student that hasn t ever done it before. Of the 16 students who have
taken Adderall, 14 answered Yes; they would recommend it to a fellow student.
Now, although this pill does seem to be a good thing all drugs come along with a
possible negative side effect that may vary from person to person. Students were
questioned about their personal uses and what side effects they experienced if they
did any and the reports are as followed:
The prevalence of side effects is just as common as how easy the drug is to get
your hands on. With almost every student reporting multiple side effects that all
seem to be pretty negative towards your health it makes you begin to wonder if the
drug is in fact a good thing for you to be doing. These side effects also worsen if
taken with alcohol which could also be a very common thing from a college student.
From 2005 2010, the number of emergency room visits due to ADHD medications
nearly quadrupled in young adults with about half of those cases being due to
Adderall mixed with drinking. Students report taking the prescription stimulants to
stay hype to party, a really negative outlook on Adderall considering about %90 of
college students attest to binge drinking.
Discussion
Since reports of Adderall being of such assistance in the academic life of a college
student there is no question that the

Dog Parks Pros And Cons
Dog parks have their pros and cons. Dogs in city residents deserve the same
freedom as a dog who live in a rural area. Of course there are those people who are
completley against it for their own selish reasons. As a community, those who wold
benifit from this should be respectful to those who wouldn t. You could easily come
up with a solution to this problem. Dogs in city limits do not belong only on
leashes, they should be allowed to run and enjoy daily exercise just like any other dog
. Due to the lack of dog parks in the city areas, more petdogs end up in aminal
shelters. This is due to the lack of other dog contact, making them extremely lonely.
Also, the lack of exercise causes hem to be irratible and to struggle mantaning their
attitudes. These attitudes causes them to be aggressive and show characteristics of
bad animal behavior. City residents who have cats say they dont want tax payers to

There are those who say that its a Law suit waiting to happen and then there are
those who say it s Unpleasent . These are both very opinionated satements. First, if
the dogs are acting in a respectful manner than no body will get hurt. That means,
those who knows their dog is going to act aggessively towards others and their
dogs, then they shouldn t bring their dog to the park. Then, you make a park rule,
no residents allowed before 7am and after 8pm, this way you or your dog won t
wake anyone up before work or keep anyone from sleeping at night. Any new idea
or thing that is brought before a selection of diffrent people is going to be debated
over. However, it is everyone s job to work togather and compromise on a soulution
that will fit everyone s needs when you live in a community such as this one. A dog
park is an excellent idea for city residents, if eveyone would compromise and respect
each others legitemet concerns it could happen, and everyone be satisified about
Limitations Of Peribulbar Anesthesia
Discussion With an examination of the acquired results from the study, we can notice
that the quality of globe akinesia in the 10th minute in the rocuronium group was
comparatively better, and 86% of the patients underwent the total akinesia; whereas,
the percentage of the total akinesia for the cisatracurium group and the control group
in 10th minute was 73% and 66% respectively (p value 0.444).
Peribulbar anesthesia is widely used for cataract surgery. This method is associated
with less serious complications compared to intravenous anesthesia (8) However, it
has the disadvantage of a slow onset of orbital akinesia (9) and the frequent need for
a block supplement. (10) To overcome these limitations, many adjuvant drugs have
been added to the local anesthetic mixture used for the peribulbar block to increase
its efficacy and accelerate its initial rate; their effects, however, were different. (11,
12, 13)
In retrobulbar approach, a needle is inserted into the intraconal space, a space
behind the eye formed by the extraocular muscles, containing the major nerves of
the eye and its adnexa. Therefore, it may be associated with potentially serious eye
damage such as: a scleral perforation, a stimulation of the oculocardial reflex and an
injection of an anesthetic in the perioptic meningeal space. However, this approach
may have the advantage of rapid onset of analgesia and akinesia with the use of
relatively smaller volumes of anesthetic. (14) (15) In addition to commonly observed
conjunctival edema, a higher initial IOP is accompanied by the higher volume of the
anesthetic agent (16), also the need for additional injection is higher for peribulbar
block compared to retrobulbar block (14).
Neuromuscular blockers have been used as adjuvants for many trials. Reah et al.
added a dose of 0.5 mg vecuronium to a mixture of lidocaine and bupivacaine with
15 IU / mL hyaluronidase. (6) In the study of kucukyavuz et al. Atracurium 5 mg was
added to the same anesthetic mixture without hyaluronidase. (5) The siege of
Peribulbar was carried out in these two studies using a technique of 2 injections
(Infertembporal and medial orbital). Y.Aissaouit et al. added 0.06 mg / kg of
rocuronium to the anesthetic mixture,

The young Peter would enter a ministry of Justice as a clerk in 1859 (Mason 1).
Tchaikovsky stayed there four years despite the long journey to Western Europe
and increasing involvement in music. In 1863 he entered the conservatory where
he took private teachings and focused all his energy to his music and
compositions. Three years later in 1866 he and his family had moved to Moscow
with a professorship of harmony at a new conservatory. Even by this time very
little of his music had pleased the conservative musical establishment or the more
nationalist group. It was not until 1868 when his 1st Symphony had a good public
reception when heard in Moscow. Not even a year later Tchaikovsky wrote his
first opera the Voyevada. He later used this piece in his next opera the Oprichnik,
which won some success at St. Petersburg in 1874. It was then that a critic named
Balakirev requested that he write a work on Romeo and Juliet, which would later
be known as the Fantasy Overture. This specific work was rewritten many times
until it met the requirements of Balakirev. This romantic piece is a symphony
where each theme stood for a character in the drama. It is these expressive themes
that make his first works well defined. The symphony Romeo and Juliet is a love
song in sonata form. It is a Fantasy Overture and not a symphonic poem, because
Tchaikovsky makes no attempt to tell the story in order or in detail (Hanson 118).

Analysis Of The Play After Seeing Mary Stuart
I was really looking forward to watching this play after seeing Mary Stuart. I came
into the play only knowing that the play was about couples. I liked coming into to
the play not really knowing what to expect from the storyline. I thought that the play
was going to be about the couples interacting more with one another as opposed to
interacting in the individual couples. Since the play is named cul de sac I assumed
that there would be more interaction from the cul de sac all together other than the
few awkward encounters. I think I thoughtthat the play was missing a climax. I am
not sure when the climax or the height of the play was reached. I think that the lack
of a climax comes from the vagueness of the character objectives. I... Show more

Johnson character could have been looking for happiness in his job, in his own
personal life, or in his marriage. However, the only true happiness seeking action
we see him do is chase his wife around the kitchen. I also thought there was a lot
going on in the play at that at times it was hard to follow. I felt that there was just a
lot going on and a lot of inferences that had to be made, which took away from the
actors. I also did not like how it seemed that the scenes with the couples were
supposed to be happening simultaneously and it seemed like the day was starting
over every time a new couple would take the stage. I wish there was a more fluid
way those scenes could have been run where you could see the Joneses dancing
while the Smith s were taking the breaks in between the argument. When the
Johnson s switched to the stage, I originally thought that it was a new day because
at the end of the smith scene they were ordering dinner and the lights seemed dim.
It wasn t until Mr. Smith made the comment about making the salmon until I
realized it was still that same day, just being shown from a different house. Again I
wish there was a way the audience could have at least seen a small portion of the
two couples simultaneously just to give the audience an idea of the time frame.
Also I felt like half the time I didn t really know what was going on or that I missed
something. For example when Mrs. Johnson was so appalled that Mr. Johnson had

doing these illegal acts against their will, they may be struggling financially and
looked at this as an only option, or they grew up in an environment where these type

Seminoles Mistake Essay
The Seminoles mistake was even engaging in the Battle of Lake Okeechobee. The
force that was being pursued by Colonel Taylor was only a part of the Seminole
nation that was on the move. They were going to merge with King Philip s tribe and
continue south to the Everglades and into the Florida Keys if necessary. Losing their
resources crippled their ability to move swiftly and sustain themselves through the
winter and summer months cost them dearly.
The Indians had available to them the use of scouts. They used them to prepare them
before the Dade massacre and keep them ahead General Scott and ambushing
Governor Richard at the Battle of Wahoo Swamp. While the Seminoles knew they
were being chased, they didn t know the size of the element that pursued them, the
equipment that they possessed, or the commander of the enemy that pursued them.
Having a basic understanding of who they were fighting was key to the success of
the Seminole raids or Ambushes of the militias and army forces set out against them.
Colonel Zachary Taylor was serving under General Jesup when Osceola raided camp
and freed the captive Indian warriors, woman and children, along with stealing
supplies in June 1836. Colonel Taylor was already well versed in the tactics the
Seminole Tribes and warriors used to out think and out fight the previous
commanders and forces that were sent against them. With the Chiefs not knowing
who was leading the force that chased them, they did not understand that fighting was

The non commercial website Lego.com has been an enormous success providing
Lego with a strong presence on the Internet. However, implementing a website
capable of handling sales transactions requires a great deal more than a non
commercial site. The firm has implemented an ERP system which may provide some
technical support for the website. The details of the ERP system are unknown at this
time; however, the goal of implementing the system was to optimize the supply chain
from production to distribution, which will be a significant opportunity for the E
Commerce project. Another important consideration is incorporating the ERP system
into the E Commerce transactions so that separate systems and ... Show more content

This strength separates Lego from the other 2 billion sites on the web that could sell
blocks of some type of Lego s own products.
Lego has a global supply chain already in place and includes processes of planning,
production, distributing and logistics. The E Commerce project will impact
distributing and logistics because of the differences in delivering to consumers
versus delivering to retailers and other distributors. Delivering the product on time
and correctly is a main priority of the E Commerce site and can prove to be a
strength or a weakness. Currently Lego, Inc. has companies and offices in 30
countries and covers 6 continents providing a great deal of resources needed for both
the selling to consumers and perhaps some of the infrastructure existing can support
the Lego Mind storm s e commerce sites.
Many issues arise from Lego s target market being largely children. The first
problem is moving from a child wishing to buy a Lego product to a parent paying
for the product. Many ethical and legal issues must be addressed when marketing to
children. One possible way of dealing with these sensitive issues is to allow parents
to customize the web site and pre pay purchases using gift cards. Two advantages
result from this strategy; the first is giving parents control over what products and
information is available to the children. For example, a

Animals Save For Animals
In the world there are about 1.3 million different species that scientists have named.
Out of that 1.3 million there are about 50,000 species that are endangered or close to
being endangered according to the IUCN (International Union for the Conservation
of Nature) Red List. Lately, multiple zoos have been crucified for housing some of
these animals. This problem has been arising for quite some time but no one seems
to acknowledge it. The problem isn t with the zooshousing the animalsit is that there
are animals in the wild that are constantly being hunted. These animals need to be
protected and saved from the different dangers they encounter. Zoos provide
animals a safe place to live and they also help fund programs assembled to protect
the animals in the zoo and in the wild. They are vital to the survival of many species
and therefore should be preserved.
Zoos have been proven to be essential towards the safety and recovery of many
animals rescued from the wild. All around the world there are zoos that house these
different species in safe and natural like environments, they are considered to be safe
havens. For example, by being housed in zoos, animals do not suffer from the stress
of threats or being potentially hunted by their common predators (Agnew 1). The
animals are able to live in their habitat at the zoo sometimes along with other animals
of their species. Each animal has a safe enclosure that suits them and their lifestyle.

Paper on Amnesia
Amnesia
Amnesia is typically defined as partial or total loss of memory. The occurrence of
amnesia can arise at any age. Individuals who suffer from amnesia typically remain
lucid and preserve their sense of self. Amnesiacs can obtain a perfectly normal
appearance despite the amnesia. Moreover, they also have the capacity to read and
comprehend words. Based on these facts, researchers have arrived at the conclusion
that more than one area in the brain is used for storing facts.
One type of amnesia is Anterograde Amnesia. Anterograde amnesia is defined as
severe amnesia and causes superfluous difficulties for those suffering from it.

Another theory held by Anna Freud as to why we do not remember our childhood
memories is because children and adults organize memories in different ways based
on their brain s development. While still others believe that children begin
remembering facts and events once they have accumulated enough to be able to relate
experiences to each other.
Another type of amnesia that is unusual but not uncommon is transient global
amnesia or TGA for short. TGA is the sudden onset of forgetfulness and confusion.
It usually occurs following physical exertion. During a severe attack the victim
experiences total disorientation except for their own identity. This is combined
with a mild form of retrograde amnesia which subsides when the attack is
complete. Attacks usually last anywhere from thirty to sixty minutes and rarely last
to be longer than twelve hours. There is no other alteration in consciousness or
obvious neurological problems. The person s behavior is otherwise normal and
they usually recover completely with in twenty four hours. People suffering from
TGA generally have a complete and rapid recovery. The only time in which a
patient is treated for TGA is if it is related to atherosclerosis, which is poor cerebral
circulation.

suffered from migraines. He only experienced amnesia when he was having sex. He

To Kill A Mockingbird Presence Of Animals Essay
With a lightning strike, the long, lance like bill of a white stork jabs through the

rely on the songs of moor frogs to guide them when they re hunting. The birds are
so skillful that they can stealthily follow frog sounds to within two or three strides

They can tell the alarm from other songs and calls and will dash for cover when
they hear it. Some animal snoops are born recognizing the warning signals of
different creatures; others, such as bonnet macaques, have to learn. These monkeys
of southern India often pal around with langur monkeys. Langurs are good
lookouts, and macaques will quickly scramble up a tree when they overhear a
langur warning cry as long as the macaques have learned the correct langur
language. Scientists say bonnet macaques at one animal reserve[9] respond to
recorded Nilgiri langur alarm shrieks but are slower to flee after a similar cry by
Hanuman langurs which would rarely be seen there. Farther north, only Hanuman
langurs are common and bonnet macaques there have learned the opposite langur
language. They jump at the sound of Hanuman warnings but are less bothered by
Nilgiri cries. Eavesdropping on the alarm signals of other animals is useful, but
spying on predators directly also has advantages. Geometrid moths, for instance, are
slow, night flying moths that can be easily overtaken by hunting bats. To make up for
their sluggish speed, the moths have espionage
Comparing Salvation And The Grunt s Prayer
Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and
renounces them finds mercy. (Proverbs 28:13) While some differences between
Salvation and The Grunt s Prayer are evident, the similarities are pronounced. Both
short stories include a man and boy that were both looking for forgiveness. The
boy in Salvation was crying out for forgiveness for lying to the people he loved and
believed in. Where the man in The Grunt s Prayer was asking Jesusto forgive him for
he was unable to turn against his men and had to follow them in war to kill others.
As a young child, we are told many stories from people we love and believe in. The
young boy in Salvation was told from his Auntie that he would see the light, see and
Technology Based Learning, Assessment, And Teaching
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Technology is at the core of virtually every aspect of our daily lives and work. While
it provides engaging and powerful learning experiences, technology also provides
access to content, resources and assessments that measure student achievement in a
more complete and meaningful ways.
Studies show that there is a direct correlation between the use of technology and
improvements in student achievement. Research demonstrates extraordinary success
with trying to reengage students who have been struggling with learning. It shows
that 98% percent of the learners improve in their learning when exposed to
technology based content.

The power of technology provides different approaches to learning and enables
lifelong learning in students. Many students have access to internet information and
other resources on a daily basis. This enables them to share information and ideas
with people from all over the world. It promotes collaboration and allows students to
learn new things.
The challenge is for our education system to leverage modern technology to create
meaningful connections between students lives to real world problems. The world
we live is highly technological that young American students will have more jobs
and opportunities in their lifetime than their parents. Learning can no longer be
confined to the years we spend in school or the hours we spend in the classroom: It
must be lifelong, life wide, and available on demand (Bransford et al. 2006).
Technology must be incorporated into learning to prepare students to learn
throughout their lives and in settings far beyond classrooms. The way students learn
and how teachers teach must be changed to meet all students needs. According to
Bransford, there must be 21st. Century technology integrated into learning in
meaningful ways to keep students engaged, motivated and inspired to achieve their
highest potential. Technology makes it possible for instructors to design effective

Similarities And Differences Of The Thirteen Colonies
The three regions of the original Thirteen Colonies maintained their own unique
distinctions from one another despite the few similarities they held. These regions
were the New England, Middle, and Southern colonies. On the factors of religion,
politics, social structure, and economy, the very nature of the land, as well as the
goals of the settlers determined what direction the regions took. The south took to
slavery and farming cash crops while trade and manufacturing were staples of the
other colonies. Wealth was the mission of those in the south while family and
religious freedom were the desire of those in New England. Economies tended to
frame how the politics of the region functioned as well as the family life as well.
New England and the Middle Colonies economies were largely based in
manufacturing, lacking the reliance on slaves that the Southern Colonies held.
New England was largely into fishing and timber. It was also the shipping hub of
goods for every other colony as well. Much less money was made than in the
South, but the people enjoyed the independence working for themselves came with.
The Middle Colonies were into manufacturing as well, but on a much smaller scale
than New England. The Middle Colonies dealt with farming and producing grain.
Furthermore, with New York being an important port, trade along the river was a
large part too. The South s economy was vastly different as slave labor and tobacco
were major sources of wealth for landowners. Tobacco,

makes the subject appear evil or dangerous. Lastly, with front/ back lighting it
makes the subject look innocent or good. At the beginning of this film, Edward s
mansion is on a dark and creepy hill. Once Peg comes back to the neighborhood
with Edward, it is flooded with highkey lighting and very vibrant colors. Also,
when he saw Kim s picture, Kim has a front/back lighting on her face. At night, it
is very dark making it look suspenseful. During the day, it is very bright. This
example implies that Edward appears to be evil or dangerous, but really he shows
innocence. He puts his family before anyone else. Also, that he is just trying to fit in
and be like everyone else. This is similar to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. All
throughout the time they are in the factory, it is lowkey lighting. This shows that the

Thank You M Am
Analyses of Thank You M am Thank You M am is a short story which is written
by Langston Hughes. The story takes place in the USA, in the street and in the
woman house, where we meet Mrs Luella and Roger. In this article I am going to
analyse this short story. At first I will summarise its plot, then I will discuss the
main theme on it, and comment on the main characters and some literary devices.
Thank You M am is about a boy called Roger and a large woman Mrs Luella Bates
Washington Jones. At eleven o clock at night, the boy tries to snatch the woman s
pocketbook. But as he grabs the purse behind, the strap brakes, he loses his balance

It is a kind of slang that Americans use especially African American. In my point of
view, the climax is in the end of the text, when Mrs Luella Bates gives Roger ten
dollars. He simply shocks and gets other thoughts about her. He feels guilty for
trying to steal her pocketbook, he apologizes Lady, I am sorry . She cares and feels
sorry about him, although she does not know him. She leads him down the hall and
opens the door for him, then she says God night, behave yourself, boy. In the end, I
will simply say that this story is relevant nowadays, because some countries still
have this problem. Some people steal to satisfy their needs only. So therefore this
story is a good example to these people. It teaches how they can fulfil their wishes

  • 2. Iphons Apple Inc. is an innovative designer and manufacturer of consumer electronics. The company initially manufactured personal computers and software and was called Apple Computer, Inc. In January 2007, Steve Jobs, co founder and CEO, announced that the company name was being changed to Apple Inc. This move reflected Apple s shift from personal computers to consumer electronics and mobile phones. The company revolutionized digital music industry through iPod portable music players and iTunes online store. Later Steve Jobsbecame interested in mobile electronic devices. Steve Jobs had earlier shown interest in touch screen technology and introduction of tablet PCs and PDAs. However, he soon realized the increasing popularity and consumer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The iPhone was an instant hit among the consumers and 525,000 iPhones were sold during the first weekend following its launch (BBC News, 2007). Steve Job was proven right as some 50% of iPhone purchasers replaced another phone, 24% replaced a Motorola RAZR, 14% replaced a Windows mobile device and 20% replaced a BlackBerry or Palm (Mohr, Sengupta Slater, 2004) The iPhone was introduced in two versions, 8 GB and 4 GB model. The 8 GB model was priced $ 599 while the 4 GB iPhone was worth $ 499. The iPhone buyer also got a two year contract with AT T costing $59.99 per month (minimum). The 4 GB model of iPhone was discontinued while the price of the 8 GB model was cut down by $ 200 (to $ 399) in September 2007, barely two months after its initial launch. Consumers who had bought the product were dissatisfied at this price cut within such a short period of time. Steve Jobs took notice of the growing indignation and in an open letter to all customers, announced a $100 store credit to all iPhone customers not receiving any rebates etc. On 11 June 2008, Apple launched iPhone 3G. Apple indulged in a series of price cuts. It first reduced the price of its iPhone from $399 to $199. On 19th June 2009, Apple released yet another new and speedier version of its Smartphone called iPhone 3 GS. Prices of the new iPhone 3GS were set at $199 for 16GB
  • 3. How Did Obama Use Ethical Issues President Ronald Reagan faced issues similar to what Obama is facing now; however, Reagan handled them more professionally and with more success. Obama is going about solving the United States issues poorly; he should be using methods similar to Reagan s instead. Ronald Reagan was able to bring an end to the Cold War with tough negotiations and stand his ground for what he believed was right. Obama is faced with a war against ISIS and if he doesn t start taking actions to help protect the U.S., like keeping terrorists from entering the U.S., we could be faced with majors problems. When Reagan was president 35 years years ago, he was faced with harsh economic and foreign issues, primarily because of the Cold War. The United Statescurrent president, Barack Obama, faces similar issues regarding the economy and disputes with foreign countries. However, Reagan was more superior and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As a result, Obama decided to sue Arizona, Utah, Alabama, and South Carolina for enacting laws that dealt with this problem. Also, Obama has ignored the fact that the 11 million undocumented immigrants, out of a population of 311 million, alone are causing a security crisis that requires immediate attention. When Obama tried to solve this problem, he just caused even more deaths at the United States border. Also, his defense cuts led to the United States national debt being $1 trillion. The United States Army, Air Force and Marine Corps have been depleting. Dwindling personnel incentives, like cuts to tuition assistance for college courses to increased costs for retiree health care, will make military careers decidedly less desirable. Throughout 2011, President Obama has continued to degrade our national security, acting out his vision of a utopia, a world led by the United Nations, with no superpowers or nuclear weapons
  • 4. Huckleberry Finn Racism Quotes Analysis In addition, both Twain and Pyle use discrimination as a motif in their story lines to further solidify the relationships between the characters. Being that Jim is a black man in a southern country, he is completely discriminated against and it s for that reason that Huck comes to Jim s rescue a number of times during their adventures and is a key factor in their survival; during nighttime, Huck goes into town to buy provisions and supplies. In the mornings, he slips into cornfields to borrow, produce while Jim waits on the raff because he cannot be seen on land without drawing suspicion. This demonstrates that it s not only Huck that depends on Jim to play the paternal role but also Jim that depends on Huck as the provider. It s the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... During Huck and Jim s travel down the river, they meet several people that prove to be obstacles in their overall goal to freedom. One of the more significant antagonists in Huck Finn is Pap, Huck s drunken father, By and by re rolled out and jumped up on his feet looking wild... He chased me round and round with a clasp knife, calling me the Angel of Death, and saying that he would kill me. (Twain 29). This event is essentially what finally made Huck abandon any desire he had left to be part of society and instead to stand on his own morals and not let society dictate what he does. Pap is the reason that Huck and Jim first met on the island and he is virtually what started their adventure. Also Pap s next appearance in the book plays an essential role in the bonding of Huck and Jim. As previously mentioned throughout the story readers see how Jim takes the fatherly role, well that all began when Pap s dead body washed up in a house on shore and Jim protects Huck from the pain of seeing his dead father. All this to say that Pap one of the major antagonists in the story, plays a big role in strengthening the bond between Huck and Jim. This bond eventually becomes the reason for why Huck is unable to turn in his friend; thus once again proving that self morals are more influential than society s ethics. To continue, like Pap, Prince John has no regards for the feelings
  • 5. I Am A Peace At The Vail Valley Medical Center After... To begin, I want to clarify that I am not sharing this because I seek sympathy, I am rather sharing this because I feel that I owe a sincere explanation to you all. My father was admitted to the Vail Valley Medical Center after suffering from withdrawal symptoms from alcoholism on June 21st, 2015 (Father s Day), one week before I left for the United States Naval Academy. Within the first week of Plebe Summer I learned that he had almost passed away after developing a staph infection and that Flight For Life Colorado had to transport him to a larger hospital in Denver. During Plebe Summer I also learned that my grandfather, whom I had been extremely close with, had passed away on July 14th, 2015. I missed the funeral that was held on July 21st, 2015 in Durango because I was in Annapolis, and I was therefore unable to be there for my grandmother. These two events reinforced how much I value my family and my proximity to them. I made the difficult decision to depart the United States Naval Academy because I felt that I needed to be in Colorado to support my family, especially my mother and my 14 year old brother. I want you all to know that I do not place any blame on my father for what happened. He decided to quit drinking alcohol solely for the reason that he wanted to be sober in order to give me the the best possible final week at home. It was an act of love that turned into disaster, despite his pure intentions. If you know him you are extremely fortunate, and I truly
  • 6. Battle Of Britain Advantages And Disadvantages In the summer and fall of 1940, the first major air battle of history took place after the Fall of France in World War 2. The British fought to defend their skies against the force of the Germans. The Battle of Britain also marked the first major defeat of Hitler s military forces during the war, with air superiority seen as the key to victory. England and Germany viewed air power in different ways. Germany viewed air power as support for ground forces and had no strategic bomber development. Meanwhile, the British had an independent military service called the Royal Air Force (RAF). The RAF had a fighter command and a bomber command. Operation Sealion was the German plan to invade England. They gathered ships and barges in Northern France ports to transport their invasion forces across the English Channelby ferries. Along with this, three Luftflotte, (air fleets) were assigned to the operation. What the Germans needed was to neutralize the Royal Air Force and gain air superiority in order to successfully invade Great Britain. The task was given to Hermann GГ¶ring, Air Marshall of the German Luftwaffe. However, there was one downside to this operation; the RAF must be neutralized before autumn storms made the crossing of the English Channel impossible. The advantages and disadvantages of both the British and Germans played key components in The Battle of Britain. The British had too few high performing Spitfires and too many Hurricanes. They did not have enough trained
  • 7. Biogas Advantages And Disadvantages To develop an appropriate biogas purification technology for small scale anaerobic digesters various commercially available large scale purification methods are verified. The pros and cons of each available technology are discussed to utilize it in small biogas plant. The available purification technologies are a) Water and polyethylene glycol scrubbing b) Chemical absorption c) Pressure swing adsorption d) Membrane e) Cryogenic separation Water and polyethylene glycol scrubbing Water scrubbing is used to remove CO2 and H2S from biogas since these gases are more soluble in water than methane. The absorption process is purely physical process. Usually the biogas is pressurized and fed to the bottom of a packed column while water is fed on the top. So the absorption process operated counter currently. The water, which exits the column with absorbed CO2 can be regenerated and re circulated back to the absorption column. Polyethylene glycol scrubbing relies on the same underlying mechanism as water scrubbing, with a physical absorption process that works because both CO2 and H2S more soluble than methane in the solvent. Figure 1 (OKOBIT Biogas, n.d.) Page | 4 The advantages of scrubbing are no special chemicals are required and removal of both CO2 and H2S. The disadvantages of water and glycol scrubbing are that it requires a lot of water even with regeneration (Q.Zhao, E.Leonhardt, C.MacConnell, C.Frear, S.Chen, 2010). The
  • 8. Asian-American Women Stereotypes As an Asian American woman, I want to see better representation for the Asian community; if media is supposed to reflect the real world, then there is no excuse for leaving Asians out in American films. I want to dissect why Asians are still marginalized and stereotyped today when there is a demand for more diversity in media. In addition, I want to cover the history behind the stereotyping and whitewashing of Asians in Hollywood and how that still has a negative impact today. In fact, recent movies have white washed Asian roles in favor of white actors. In May 2015, Sony released Aloha, where Emma Stone portrayed Allison Ng, a part Chinese Hawaiian fighter pilot. This blatant erasure is also evident in Dreamworks casting of Scarlett Johansson... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Movies produced in the later half of the twentieth century still suffered from stereotypes set by films from years ago. In Year of the Dragon (1985), Tracy Tzu, despite being a professional newscaster, was also portrayed as seductive and mysterious, manhandled and dominated by the Caucasian hero, Stanley White, as he overpowers her and carries her off to bed like a trophy (Rajgopal, 2010, p. 149). These stereotypes of Asian women in film feed into the stereotypes of Asian women offscreen, and being perceived as exotic and submissive contributes to a higher risk of sexual assault, as if they are somehow asking for it (Rajgopal, 2010). The portrayal of Asians matched with the progression of history showed America was projecting its fear and othering Asians through media. If Asians are not portrayed in a stereotypical role, then they are given no role at all, rendered invisible by Hollywood and the masses. Because the West was not hugely exposed to the East, the easiest way to generalize Eastern people was to build fictional characters of an extreme (Wang, 2010, p. 86). Asians were not talked about, and when they were, it was through caricatures and
  • 9. Patient Cloning System Electronic health records (EHRs) are becoming more common among health care facilities every day. They are intended to increase both the quality and usefulness of documentation (AHIMA Work Group, 2013). There are many features that make EHRs user friendly and can decrease work time for clinicians. However, some of these same features, if not used properly, can cause a decrease in the integrity of the record. It is important that providers are aware of these risks and are educate on using the computerize records properly. However, if the information is not removed, the current instructions given to the patient are inaccurate and puts the patient at risk. To rectify this situation, I believe the discharge documentation in our system needs to be totally revamped. Each set of discharge instructions should be unique to that specific visit. Old information, accurate or inaccurate, should not be taken from previous visits for the current visit. The pulling of old information should be an option for the user, not something that automatically happens. I believe this needs to be brought to the attention of our IT staff as soon as possible so the records can stop being inaccurately changed, but most of all for our patient s safety. Giving patients the incorrect information upon discharge can cause great harm. People don t always here what their provider says, so the refer to the instructions when they get home. If they see an old medication, they may think that they must have missed the doctor telling them to take. Rather than calling for clarification, they may inadvertently start taking a mediation that is not necessary or that could interact poorly with a current
  • 10. Lady Macbeths Downfall In Shakespeare s Macbeth, Lady Macbeth devises a cunning plan to murder King Duncan in order for Macbeth ascend to the throne. Lady Macbeth says We fail!/ but screw your courage to the sticking place/ and we will not fail . Lady Macbeth is telling Macbeth that they cannot fail, but because Macbeth and Lady Macbethdeduce that power is more important than one s conscience, their scheme does not materialize as they speculated. The Macbeths fail in their quest for power because they underestimate nature, one s conscience, and man s fallibility. In Macbeth, Lady Macbeth says unsex me here when she is about to fulfill the plan. Lady Macbeth is asking the spirits to strip away everything that makes her a woman, in order for her to achieve her malicious end. Traditionally, femininity is synonymous with compassion, maternal instincts, and kindness whereas masculinity is synonymous with independence, tenacity, and assertiveness. It is in Lady Macbeth s nature to be motherly and gentle and she cannot change her nature in order to make herself feel better about the horrible actions she plans to commit. Lady Macbeth attempts to overrule her feminine nature, which is foolhardy and one of the causes of her dismay. Another reason why the Macbeth s plan goes awry is because Macbeth and Lady Macbeth think they could justify ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is obvious that the best talent is attracted to organizations that provide conducive, proper and structured T D programs that add value to an employee s experience as he/she gradually moves up the corporate ladder. Hence, TNA plays an instrumental role by identifying an individual s Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Others ( KSAOs ) gaps and

We are made in His likeness, but we will never be like Him. Another thing is, He is perfect, and He could not make other things perfect, too. God, himself, is the only perfect for us to understand that He has more authority. He is always above us. He allowed mortality and death for us to learn that we could not live without Him. He also made us mortal so that we can be destroyed if we do not obey Him and His words. As stated in Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death. • 14. Public Shame, By Hester Pryne During The French Revolution Public shame was pervasive through its public executions and social upheaval during the French Revolution. The French Revolution resulted in over 40,000 deaths, many by the guillotine where citizens would gather around to savor or loathe the decapitation of an accused person. No one could escape ignominy caused by the malfunctions of the four anarchies. Nevertheless, people were publicly executed or tortured for many false accusations that ended in complete violence and disruption. The cost of public shamewas futile and if it was not so eminent in the French Revolution, then possibly there could have been better results. In like manner, the price of public shame is a detrimental thing that can cause someone to feel so desperate that their only option is to take their life. Over numerous centuries, there are various forms of public shame that adulterate the confidence of people who are the victims. Public shame may not include scaffold or guillotine gatherings as it did in earlier eras, but can be illustrated in social media posts, news, or articles that excessively humiliate a person. The impacts of public shame are countlessly horrific that they eliminate any possible benefits. Hester Pryne in The Scarlet Letter was publicly shamed and forced to wear an immense A on her bosom for her sin of adultery which of course led to people labeling her as the biggest sinner in the world. Rude comments similarly flowed into a modern day case of adultery with Monica Lewinsky. Her

The labor for the company he works for comes from the slavery of the native people. The author, Joseph Conrad, depicts these people as savages, which is also very racist. Also, when he refers to them, he uses a racial slur, rather than calling them black people or finding another way to state that they are not white. Throughout the book Conrad also depicts a lot of violence towards these people, which I saw as unnecessary since most of the time it is not explained and does not further develop the story. These are the reasons why I think Heart of Darknessis racist. The first thing that I noticed in Heart of Darkness that made me think it is a racist book is the way the black people are treated and how they are thought of. The native people of the Congo are considered to be very dangerous. Therefore, they are chained together to work and are not given basic human rights such as food. The calculus we have come to know and love has been around for quite some time, dating all the way back to its creation which is credited to Newton and Leibniz. Of course there are those people who are completley against it for their own selish reasons. As a community, those who wold benifit from this should be respectful to those who wouldn t. You could easily come up with a solution to this problem. Dogs in city limits do not belong only on leashes, they should be allowed to run and enjoy daily exercise just like any other dog . Due to the lack of dog parks in the city areas, more petdogs end up in aminal shelters. This is due to the lack of other dog contact, making them extremely lonely. • 34. Limitations Of Peribulbar Anesthesia Discussion With an examination of the acquired results from the study, we can notice that the quality of globe akinesia in the 10th minute in the rocuronium group was comparatively better, and 86% of the patients underwent the total akinesia; whereas, the percentage of the total akinesia for the cisatracurium group and the control group in 10th minute was 73% and 66% respectively (p value 0.444). Peribulbar anesthesia is widely used for cataract surgery. This method is associated with less serious complications compared to intravenous anesthesia (8) However, it has the disadvantage of a slow onset of orbital akinesia (9) and the frequent need for a block supplement. (10) To overcome these limitations, many adjuvant drugs have been added to the local anesthetic mixture used for the peribulbar block to increase its efficacy and accelerate its initial rate; their effects, however, were different. (11, 12, 13) In retrobulbar approach, a needle is inserted into the intraconal space, a space behind the eye formed by the extraocular muscles, containing the major nerves of the eye and its adnexa. Therefore, it may be associated with potentially serious eye damage such as: a scleral perforation, a stimulation of the oculocardial reflex and an injection of an anesthetic in the perioptic meningeal space. However, this approach may have the advantage of rapid onset of analgesia and akinesia with the use of relatively smaller volumes of anesthetic. (14) (15) In addition to commonly observed conjunctival edema, a higher initial IOP is accompanied by the higher volume of the anesthetic agent (16), also the need for additional injection is higher for peribulbar block compared to retrobulbar block (14). Neuromuscular blockers have been used as adjuvants for many trials. Reah et al. added a dose of 0.5 mg vecuronium to a mixture of lidocaine and bupivacaine with 15 IU / mL hyaluronidase. (6) In the study of kucukyavuz et al. Atracurium 5 mg was added to the same anesthetic mixture without hyaluronidase. (5) The siege of Peribulbar was carried out in these two studies using a technique of 2 injections (Infertembporal and medial orbital). Y.Aissaouit et al. added 0.06 mg / kg of rocuronium to the anesthetic mixture,

In 1863 he entered the conservatory where he took private teachings and focused all his energy to his music and compositions. Three years later in 1866 he and his family had moved to Moscow with a professorship of harmony at a new conservatory. Even by this time very little of his music had pleased the conservative musical establishment or the more nationalist group. It was not until 1868 when his 1st Symphony had a good public reception when heard in Moscow. Not even a year later Tchaikovsky wrote his first opera the Voyevada. He later used this piece in his next opera the Oprichnik, which won some success at St. Petersburg in 1874. It was then that a critic named Balakirev requested that he write a work on Romeo and Juliet, which would later be known as the Fantasy Overture. This specific work was rewritten many times until it met the requirements of Balakirev. This romantic piece is a symphony where each theme stood for a character in the drama. It is these expressive themes that make his first works well defined. The symphony Romeo and Juliet is a love song in sonata form. It is a Fantasy Overture and not a symphonic poem, because Tchaikovsky makes no attempt to tell the story in order or in detail (Hanson 118). The piece opens with

However, the only true happiness seeking action we see him do is chase his wife around the kitchen. I also thought there was a lot going on in the play at that at times it was hard to follow. I felt that there was just a lot going on and a lot of inferences that had to be made, which took away from the actors. I also did not like how it seemed that the scenes with the couples were supposed to be happening simultaneously and it seemed like the day was starting over every time a new couple would take the stage. I wish there was a more fluid way those scenes could have been run where you could see the Joneses dancing while the Smith s were taking the breaks in between the argument. When the Johnson s switched to the stage, I originally thought that it was a new day because at the end of the smith scene they were ordering dinner and the lights seemed dim. It wasn t until Mr. Smith made the comment about making the salmon until I realized it was still that same day, just being shown from a different house. Again I wish there was a way the audience could have at least seen a small portion of the two couples simultaneously just to give the audience an idea of the time frame. Also I felt like half the time I didn t really know what was going on or that I missed something. For example when Mrs. Johnson was so appalled that Mr. Johnson had gotten out of bed

With bottom or side lighting, it makes the subject appear evil or dangerous. Lastly, with front/ back lighting it makes the subject look innocent or good. At the beginning of this film, Edward s mansion is on a dark and creepy hill. Once Peg comes back to the neighborhood with Edward, it is flooded with highkey lighting and very vibrant colors. Also, when he saw Kim s picture, Kim has a front/back lighting on her face. At night, it is very dark making it look suspenseful. During the day, it is very bright. In my point of view, the climax is in the end of the text, when Mrs Luella Bates gives Roger ten dollars. He simply shocks and gets other thoughts about her. She leads him down the hall and opens the door for him, then she says God night, behave yourself, boy. In the end, I will simply say that this story is relevant nowadays, because some countries still have this problem. Some people steal to satisfy their needs only. So therefore this story is a good example to these people. It teaches how they can fulfil their wishes without
