Sample Illustration Essay
Crafting an essay, especially one centered around a broad topic like "Sample Illustration Essay,"
can be a challenging endeavor. The difficulty lies not only in the research and collection of
relevant examples but also in the art of effectively illustrating concepts and ideas. To create a
compelling illustration essay, one must carefully select examples that vividly represent the point
being made, ensuring they resonate with the audience. This process demands a keen eye for
detail and the ability to weave a coherent narrative.
Furthermore, the writer needs to strike a balance between providing enough examples to support
their thesis and avoiding an overwhelming amount of information. Clarity and conciseness are
crucial, as a convoluted essay may fail to convey the intended message effectively. Structuring
the essay in a logical sequence, with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion, adds an
additional layer of complexity.
Moreover, the challenge extends to ensuring that the examples chosen are not only relevant but
also diverse enough to capture the readers' interest. This diversity requires a comprehensive
understanding of the topic and the ability to connect seemingly disparate examples into a
cohesive whole.
In the process of writing, the author must also consider the tone and style, adapting them to the
target audience. This involves navigating the fine line between being informative and engaging,
a task that demands a nuanced approach.
In conclusion, tackling the creation of an essay on a topic like "Sample Illustration Essay"
requires a combination of research skills, critical thinking, and effective communication. It's a
demanding task that necessitates a thoughtful selection of examples, meticulous organization,
and a keen awareness of the audience. Despite the challenges, mastering the art of crafting
illustration essays can be a rewarding skill.

Pegylated, Interferon-A Literature Review
HCV infection is most commonly treated with Pegylated, Interferon a (IFN a) and
Ribavirin (18). There is a raising discussion about the IFN treatment, once is believed
that it can improve neurocognitive function after clearing the virus; however, the
therapy is linked to psychiatric side effects such as depressive symptoms, fatigue and
insomnia (19). Several studies demonstrated the enhancement in the cognition using
different methods during and after the treatment with IFN (6). They defended that
patients with CHC score worse in the tasks than controls on HRQoL indices, and they
improved their scores after the successful antiviral therapy (6), which is illustrated on
the bar graph (Figure 4). Figure 4. The bar graph demonstrates a significant
impairment in cognition during IFN therapy and an improve on cognitive function
after the discontinuation of the regimen. (Adapted from Cattie J, Letendre S, Woods

The most common findings were physical functioning and fatigue (20). Interferon
alpha (IFN a) is the antiviral drug for CHC infection, and it is related to an
enhancement in the likelihood of depression (6). Some studies found prefrontal
hypometabolism during the therapy, which was related to depression during the
regimen (21). Actually, it is believed that IFN may cause a temporary deterioration of
HRQol, once it induces depression and other adverse symptoms. The evidence that
supports this finding is that after the clearance of the virus, there is an improvement
in HRqOL and it is also true for patients pos transplanted (7). Often, these symptoms
remit in 2 3 weeks; however, some patients remain with the symptoms after the
discontinuation of IFN treatment (7). The mechanism that underlies the effect of IFN
in the cognition is the proinflammatory cytokine release, which can induce
neuropsychiatric symptoms
Preferred Partner Networks (PPN)
The growth of Preferred Partner Networks (PPN) in physiotherapy is another
market trend that might be relevant as Physio4D defines its monetization strategy.
PPNs have existed in multiple forms within the healthcare delivery system and the
Ontario Physiotherapist Association has stated (January 2006) that it does not
endorse or discourage such contractual relationships among providers8. Most PPNs
are initiated by insurers, employers and other third party payers to access healthcare
services at a discounted rate by providing more referrals to partnering clinics. Some
preferred provider relationships are established to create a provider pool that can be
relied on to accommodate referrals or to allow for priority access. Others are
established to create a ready made referral network8. PPNs are characterized by one
or more of the following8,9
They involve a contractual relationship between the insurer and the health
practitioner, often including pre arranged prices for a basket of services, within
specific timeframes, with pre established lines of communication, reporting
requirements, data collection.
The claimant s participation in the PPN will result from an insurer s referral.
In most instances, the treatment provided by a PPN is pre approved by the insurer,
or the insurer may have set a cap on the cost or number of weeks of treatment, subject
to the minimum requirements set out in the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule
(automobile insurance specific policy).

Should Sports Be A Required Part Of Elementary
Education...
Test scores from the Program for International Student Assessment showed that
American 14 years olds scored below their international peers in math, reading and
science. Among 34 developed countries, the United States ranked 26th in math, 21st
in science and 17th in reading (Mercury News 2013). Many people believe that US
educational system is flawed and that urgently needs to be fixed. They debate
whether sports should be a required part of elementary education. Assuming that bad
test results have nothing to do with sports, should sports be a required part of
elementary education? Schools should inform children and their parents about
positive and possible negative aspects of sports and then kids with parents should
decide themselves whether or not to participate in sports. Sports shouldn t be a
required part of elementary education in the United States because everyone should
have a chance to make a choice: Imagine going out to... Show more content on

Poland is a surprising educational success story: in the course of less than a decade,
the country raised students test scores from significantly below average for the
developed world to significantly above it; Polish kids now outscore American kids in
math and science, even though Poland spends, on average, less than half as much per
student as the United States does. One of the most striking differences between the
high school Tom attended in Gettysburg and the one he ends up in Wroclaw is that
the latter has no football team, or, for that matter, teams of any kind. This example is
a good illustration that education and sports don t work together. Yes, Tom is a high
school student and not elementary school student, but if sport was damaging for
education in high school why it should be beneficial in elementary
The Importance Of A Formal Multicultural Education
All people I interviewed did not receive a formal multicultural education and they
learned from their interactions with people at their home, church, working places
as well as from their travels. They all agreed that knowing people from diverse
cultural backgrounds had enriched their life experiences. However, they all
agreed that similar human experiences are shared among different races and
genders. Implicit test results told me that I hold more personal biases than I had
thought. These unchecked biases may have potentially kept us from forming fair
judgments toward others. Interestingly, when racial issues are in the conversation,
it s always about white black relation, like other minorities do not account. My
Chinese friend is a college graduate, a minority, and an immigrant in this country.
She had to take jobs that a less educated person could do because of her lack of
English proficiency. Although she is competent and skilled in her job, she is still
treated as less qualified than her white coworker. Is it fair using English
proficiency as a criterion to judge people? I do not have an answer for this. I did
not bring this up to my friend because I don t want to make her feel victimized and
less happy from now on. At the same time, I was surprised that there are people like
one of my coworkers who do not acknowledge racial issues in this country.
Therefore, raising the awareness of racial issues is necessary. I hope that my
Catholic coworker will recognize and
Aristotelian Appeal Ethos In Southern Gothic Literature
The Aristotelian appeal ethos is illustrated as well within the characteristics of the
culture in the era of Southern Gothic Literature. This era manifested authors like
Harper Lee, Flannery O Conner, William Faulkner, and Edgar Allen Poe who were all
illuminating their readers while heir focus was around the history of southern slavery.
The artistic direction simultaneously permits scholars to appreciate when identifying

Angelina Grimke Abolition
Because of her concern for white masters and resulting choices to abandon her
famous slave holding family to move to the North, to write an address to southern
women, and to speak in front of audiences of both men and women, Angelina Grimke
adopted the abolitionist cause and often challenged her role in society. Originally,
Grimke was promoting abolition out of concern for whites as she believed that slavery
was anti Christian; she was seen trying to discourage family from having slaves out
of concern for her salvation. However, that family would have been a difficult one to
persuade as they were the one of the most prominent slaveholding families in South
Carolina; there were rumors that each family member had their own slave who would

Why Am I Interested In Entering A Service Academy
Why I am interested in entering a service academy The reason I am interested in
entering the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) is because I want to serve
my country and graduate to be an outstanding leader. Having said this, I also
believe that effective leadership is one of the most essential traits a person can
possess. I have always been in some sort of a leadershipposition, and I know that the
USAFA instructs and graduates some of the absolute best leaders in the world.
Another important aspect of a good leader or cadet is to be morally good. Always
doing what is right, never lying, cheating, or stealing is essential in becoming not
only a good leader but also a great one. The USAFA challenges its cadets morally,
academically,
Similarities And Differences Between Knights With
Knights...
Have you ever wondered how it would feel back then with the with knights and
samurais? Summaries and knights have very little in common, but have much
more difference. In Europe knights were hired because the central government
lost their power. Warlords fought each other to see who would have the most
territory. The Western Roman Empire had fallen in the late 400s, leaving the
continent divided and the weak kingdoms apart. Japan had found itself in pieces,
but most people kept the land in order by a system called feudalism. There were
two types of Warriors. First there were Europe s Warriors called the knights, and
there was Japan s Warriors called samurais. The Minamoto won the Civil War later
set up a new government, and the head of the government was the Shogun. Each
ruled the county in the name of the emperor, but the shogun had more power then
the emperor. Europe had a different leader and that was the pope. Knights developed
a code of behavior called Chivalry. A samuraideveloped a code of honor called...

The knight took a vow of the Knighthood. They had to promise no wicked deeds,
be loyal to the king, mercy those who ask, be courteous and be helpful to the
ladies. The loss of Knighthood would be a disgrace and that was a major thing back
then. The samurai s code consists of discharging loyal services to his master if the
samurai has one. The one difference that samurais most of the time had a master and
the knight didn t. The samurai was summarily punishes himself if he didn t follow his
warrior code. The samurai would stab himself with a seppuku, then another person
would cut that a person s neck. They both have different rules they have to follow but
the consequences were way different, the night would be a disgrace but the samurai
would punish himself by killing himself. But the difference that was most different

Perks Of Being A Wallflower Charlie Essay
The character Charlie in Stephen Chbosky s Perks of Being a Wallflower is an
interesting one. Charlie is influenced by many people, and the plot is driven by his
inner turmoil as a wallflower . One of his greatest influences is from his Aunt
Helen. Chbosky is able to paint a strong picture by using Aunt Helen, even though
she does not appear in his story at all. She can easily be credited as an underlying
drive for the book s plot. When Aunt Helen was younger, she was molested by a
friend of the family. She suffered through many trials throughout her life, but her
experiences with this man affected her the greatest. It is assumed (from scenes later
on in the book) that she might ve even molested Charlie when he was younger. She
abuses his quiet demeanor, and Charlie does not remember this at all. She was killed
in a car accident on christmas eve Charlie s 7th birthday, whilst getting a birthday
present for him. Learning about her... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Chbosky used the character of Helen quite intricately. It is rare that a character has
such strong influences from something if it is not actually there, even though this is
a fairly common thing in our everyday lives. He uses Helen to evoke depression in
Charlie, an already deep thinking and quiet character. We watch him slowly spiral
down, and he knows that it is not healthy to think the way he s thinking. Saying
things like, Something s really wrong with me. And I don t know what it is. (137)
throughout the story, getting more and more concentrated towards the end. Charlie
engages in spirals of thought, often leading in him to abandon some letters, I have to
stop doing this, I am getting to sad. (168) and his negative character development
begins to be the driving plotline of this story. His life is beginning to be rich with
situations, and it s becoming obvious that his inner turmoil is the cause of all of his
struggles. But what caused this inner
Television Shows And The Effect Of Television s Effect On...
The truth is, everybody changes every day and some things are more devastating
than others, but we never are the same. There are two ways to deal with these
changes: you either accept them or you fight them like hell all the way (Law and
Order: Special Victims Unit). In America, the majority owns a televisionor has some
sort of electronic device that they can watch their favorite shows on. Some
television shows can have an unconscious impact on viewers. Television series
Law and Order: SVU is a show that can cause an attitude and behavioral impact on
viewers without the audience ever knowing. The show itself contains heavy sexual
themes and media violence that is based loosely off of real crimes or stories that
were ripped from the headlines . However, in the beginning of the show they give
warning that states, the following story is fictional and does not depict any actual
person or event (Law and order: SVU) which provides viewer s comfort that the
episodeis not real. Even with this forewarning there is still an impact on viewers that
watch the show. The type of effects a sexually themed television programsuch as Law
and Order: SVU can have on viewers includes desensitization, priming, excitation
transfer theory, construction of social reality, and the cultivation theory. Ever feel a
thrill and become exposed to it so much that the thrill starts to become numb? That is
desensitization and is when repetitive exposure cause people to go numb to violence

Brutus Love In Julius Caesar
For the Love of Rome
In The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, a well known play written by William
Shakespeare, two powerful bestfriends, Julius Caesar and Marcus Brutus, find
themselves in a struggle when Caesar gains too much power and Brutus grows
fearful. As the play opens, Caesar, the general and senator of Rome, is respected by
the Roman people. His best friend, Brutus, is a strong supporter of the republic with
favorable, pure intentions. Brutus believes that honor is the most important quality of
a man, to such a great degree that it conquers him. While the idealization of Julius
Caesar continues to grow rapidly, Brutus finds himself conflicted. As Brutus worries
about the possibility of Caesar becoming a threat to Rome as dictator, he encounters

This proves that Brutus sincerely believes that Caesar will rise as dictator of
Rome. He fears that if he fails to kill Caesar immediately, Caesar will destroy Rome
and fail to remain honorable. This is evidence that Brutus may have allowed his
self delusion to meddle with his love for Caesar versus his love of Rome. Brutus
proceeds to say that he will Set honor in one eye and death i th other./And I will
look on both indifferently (I.II.88 89). This demonstrates how Brutus would kill for
the welfare of the Romans, even if it meant sacrificing his own life. Brutus conveys
that he will surpass boundaries for what he believes right for Rome. In summary,
Brutus honorable endeavors and heroism clashes with his self delusion, making him
the tragic hero of the play.
In conclusion, after comparing the two powerful men and their flaws, Brutus
ultimately surfaces as the tragic hero. While Caesar has his faults, his goals do not
measure up to that of Brutus . Given that Brutus could have succeeded, his self
delusion impedes the way of the only title he ever truly wanted; an honorable man.
Essentially, Brutus aim of nobility is bombarded by his major tragic flaw; self
delusion. His delusion interferes with his decision whether or not to kill Caesar.
Killing Caesar leads to Brutus final downfall, which makes him the tragic hero of the
Nicolaus Copernicus Accomplishments
So far as hypotheses are concerned, let no one expect anything certain from
astronomy, which cannot furnish it, lest he accept as the truth ideas conceived for
another purpose, and depart from this study a greater fool than when he entered it.
this quote is from Nicolaus Copernicus, the famous astronomer who discovered
something remarkable. Copernicus was a part of the German heritage, but at the
time, the city of Torun where he was born was a part of Poland so some believed he
spoke some Polish as well. The remarkable discovery in which he found, was the
heliocentric universe, meaning the Sunwas the center of the universe not the Earth.

Catholic Church did... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another important factor that comes into play is the studies of further scientists,
such as Galileo Galilei, he was inspired by Copernicus and then fully proved his
theory with even more information and evidence, but once again the Catholic
Church did not allow him to publish his work, even though he was right, so he was
under house arrest for the rest of his life. Copernicus played another huge roll by
some of his other theories such as, passages in the Bible imply that the earth does not
move, the apparent annual cycle of movements of the sun is caused by the earth
orbiting it. which completely contradicts the Bible, he was right though with each
and every theory, however none of them could be published until later on because all
of his theories went completely against the Bible, the Church at this time would never
allow someone to publish work with clear and hard evidence against them. Now yes
humans probably would have discovered the heliocentric universe, but the amount of
time that would have taken would have been way longer, and somewhat harder if
other early scientists never discovered it. Without him creating this theory and then
having his publications help inspire others to study astronomy and prove the theory
even more, humans would not have been able to find the right pathways to shoot
probes and other space shuttles to different planets to study them, especially sending
people to the moon would have been extremely dangerous if Copernicus never
actually found the right solar system, the rocket might have been going the complete
opposite of where the moon actually
Vestal Virgins In The Roman Pageants
It was a cold January night, a full moon hung in the night sky, uncovering what
couldn t be hidden in that illuminating light, shining so revealingly bright once a
month. From the shadows came out 22 women, but when the moon captured them
with its beams of light, their innocent faces now bore a smile of vengeance. One by
one, the moonrevealed the fire in their eyes. All of them wore a white woolen veil,
and they walked as one. They circled two young men walking down the street, and
forced them to their knees. Two of the women glided towards the men, and each
took out a blade that they ignited using their eyes. They stabbed the two men with
the burning blade, and sprinkled unusual herbs on the wound. The other 20 creatures
held hands completing the ritual, and disappearing into the shadows; they all
became stronger, as I felt a surge of weakness cover me, that still isn t gone, said
Vesta, the goddess of the hearth. These women are the 22 Vestal Virgins that were
buried alive back in the Roman Empire, and now they have risen from the
underworld, and have murdered two innocent people.
These people weren t just murdered, Minerva interjected, The Vestals were wearing
white woolen veils, and they sprinkled the herbs used for sacrifices.
This sacrifice happened on a full moon, which gave them power over the targeted
victims. Diana carefully thought, and said, Since I can t control the moon fully, it is
imperative that we get someone who can. There is a girl doesn t
Native American Technological Advancements
Were Native American cultures primitive and have little technological advancement?
A common belief about Native Americans is that their culture is primitive and that
they had little technological advancements. Images of spear wielding men with
feathers on their heads, running around in the forest pop into your mind when
thinking about Native Americans. Images of women with tribal paint on their face,
holding a basket of corn pop into your mind when thinking about Native Americans.
When learning about the settlement of the Americas, the Europeans are portrayed
superior in knowledge and technology compared to the savages that lived there.
Through history we see Native Americans as primitive and technologically inferior;
this was because of the Europeans quick succession in conquering them with
medieval/Asian technology. Native Americans lived in huts slightly below the
ground surface. These huts ...were covered with thatch... on their walls and roofs.
This is a prime example on their primitive lifestyle and how they used the
environment around them to support them. Native American s lifestyle would not
function properly if things such as long grass, for thatches, didn t grow around them.
The Europeans, upon arrival to the Americas, built their houses out of wood; this was
accomplished using tools such as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The bow and arrow was a reliable way for the Native Americans to hunt, as well as
in some cases fight opposing tribes. Native Americans didn t take the extra step in
evolving their weaponry by modifying it to better the other tribes. The Europeans, on
the other hand, used other countries weaponry and adopted it in their system; this
was one of the big factors in the Europeans conquest over the Americas. The Native
Americans, with only bow and arrows, stood no chance against the European s guns
and steel swords; this further proves their primitive
Problems Faced By The And Corporate Culture
4.The problems of the mergers in technology industry During the integration process
after merging, the clash of the human resources and the corporate culture will arise.
Merger always takes risk on some extent, so some employees will feel unsafe about
their job, which will cause the lost of the human resources. What s more, to optimize
the new employee structure and reduce labor cost, amount of employees will face to
be laid off. Such a large personnel change will cut down the investors trust, because
the investor will suspect the stability of the new combined company. Even two
similar technology companies still have different corporate culture which can
represent the companies brand images and affect the customers loyalty. They may
produce the similar products, but they may differ in the business ideas and
background. Hence, how to integrate two companies corporate culture in order to
exert the joint corporate value is difficult for the new combined company. If the new
combined company abandoned one of the company s corporate culture, they will lose
part of customers who already lose the faith to the company. How to integrate the two
technology companies technology is important for the development of the new
combined company in the future after merging. If two companies have lots of
overlapping business and their technologies level are different, then the new company
must consider integrating the technology to complement and balance the technology
level so that can
Summary Of The Tectonic Theater Project
In Act 1 of the play, it talks about how the Tectonic Theater Project on November

people that lived in Laramie about the murdered of Matthew Shepard. When they

there were people that said that opponent. A bartender said that she saw Matthew
before he felt with the boys. She told the press that the three boys left together in a
black truck. As Aaron Kreifels was riding, his bicycle he found Matthew tied to a
fence. Matthew had blood all over him and he did not have his shoes. In Act 2 of
the play, the trial of Aaron James McKinney and Russell Arthur Henderson was
taking place. Both of the boys pleaded not guilty even though police found
evidence of the Matthew being in that black truck that they had. In the truck, there
was Matthew s credit card and his shoe which he did not have when they found
him. As Act 2 goes on they play gives regular updates of how Matthew s condition
is. At the end of the Act 2, Matthew died. Act 3 is when Matthew s funeral was
healed. At his funeral, there were protesters saying the god hates fags. In addition, it
also shows the trail of McKinney, he was sentenced to life in prison. At the trail,
Matthew s father was said that Matthew never believed in the death penalty. That

Runner Train For Marathons
How Do Runner Train For Marathons? Have you ever ran 26 miles in a day? Because
that s not even the hardest part of running a marathon. It s the training. Strict eating,
exercise, dealing with injuries, and having a positive mindset are all part of it. When
training for a marathon, runners have to completely change their lifestyle while
preparing. Nutritionand diet are the most important part of training. Obviously
eating more fruits and vegetables is a major part. The runner s body must be
stoked with a steady supply of high energy carbohydrates. (Canella A23). Foods

Injuring yourself is one of the worst things you can do while preparing. It can set
you from just a couple days, to over a month! There are certain ways to sidestep
injuries and also keep your food down. First of all, don t push yourself to injury. You
need to gradually get harder and harder on you training (Canella A23). This means
you need to slowly add to your training. Don t do 10 miles one day and then 20
miles the next, be consistent. Also when trying to avoid injuries, making sure you
are stretching before and after all of your running. A lot of runners keep up their
flexibility to avoid injuries (Canella A23). The more flexible you are, the less
likely you would strain or pull a muscle. When trying to keep you food down, Elite
ultrarunners avoid excessive upchucking by setting a leisurely pace. (Canella A23).
Keeping a steady slow pace will help you avoid both vomiting and wrenching your
muscles. These things will help avoid injuries and throwing up while running for
excessive periods of
A Look Into The Culture Of Yemen
A Look into the Culture of Yemen
Yemen has surprised the world with its unexpected collapse into war. Yemen has a
great strategic value to nations vying for regional super power status, yet remains a
cultural mystery to most of the Western World. The culture of Yemen and its key
fundamentals will be addressed.
Culture is extremely important in understanding a certain area or society. Culture is
customs or beliefs of a certain place or society. Five characteristics that define culture
are learned, shared, symbolic, intergraded, and dynamic culture ( Chapter 9: The
characteristics of culture, n.d.). Learned culture passes on socially and physically.
Their customs and way of life pass on through their immediate family, tribe and ...

The Red Sea is to the west, and the Gulf of Aden is to the south. The physical
geography is a mix of mountainous terrain and desert. Yemencan be broken down
into six regions the Tihama, highlands in the west, central mountains, high plateau
in the east, limestone tableland, and the Gulf of Aden coastal plain. The Tihama is
an area on the along the Red Sea, which provides commerce and trade on the ports
of al Mukha and al Hudayda. Fishing and agriculture are very popular in this area.
The highlands in the west get rain round the year to provide water for the
agriculture. The central mountain region where the capital of Sanaa lies has urban
area but also areas of plateaus and basins. The plateau region in the east eventually
connects with the Rub al Khal desert with somewhat primitive living styles.
Plateaus and wadis along with seaports such as al Mulkalla and al Shahr make up
the limestone tableland. Finally, the five to ten mile wide stretch that starts from
Aden all the way to al Ghayda is the Gulf of Aden coastal plain region (Advameg,
1985). In 2013, the population was 25.4 million people (Asia, 2015). Sanaa, Yemen
s capitol is also the largest city, having a current population of 1.9 million people
(Asia, 2015).
Yemen is not a very advanced country and is actually very poor; therefore, its
infrastructure is deteriorating or nonexistent. Of the roads they do have, only ten
percent of them are paved, making transportation via roadway more
Me Before You Character Analysis
In the movie Me before you , not only Will s parents, friends, and workers all keep
mentioning and emphasizing that Will is disabled and needs help. It delivers an
idea that the life with a disability is not worth living. In the movie Finding Dory,
there are two characters with disabilities. Becky is an intelligent bird and helps
others a lot. She flies Marlin and Nemo everywhere; she helps to carry them by
putting them in a bucket with water and then carries the bucket and shouts out to
Gerald independently without any help. There is an another character in this movie
that is with disability. Gerald is a sea lion; he doesn t talk and is viewed as disabled
with bulging eyes, a unibrow, and dopey smile. In these examples, people with
disabilities are all viewed as inferior to non disabled peers. In addition, Will, Becky,
and Gerald all show that the two movies deliver an idea that the life of people with
disabilities is boring and they do not worth living. However, in these two movies,
characters with disabilities live well. In Me Before You, Will enjoyed his life with
Louisa, and it shows that people with disabilities can find someone they love. In
Find Dory, although Becky has mental disorder and can only speak with noises
instead of clear words, she is smart and uses her intelligence to help Nemo. In
addition, in these to movies, they deliver the idea that people with disabilities are all
viewed as inferior to non disabled peers through others characters
The Battle Of Jericho By Joshua Huxley
The battle of Jericho was Joshua s first battle as Moses successor. The Israelites
were commanded to march around the walls of Jericho once every day for seven
days. On the seventh day they marched around the wall seven times. The seventh
time they marched they shouted out, the priest blew their trumpets and the walls
came down. They overtook the city with a great vengeance and they killed every
person in the city (save Rahab and her household) and they burnt the city with fire
and everything in it. Joshua 6:12 27. The Battle of Ai: the Israelites saw that Ai was
small, so they sent only three thousand men to fight them. Ai won the battle and
killed about 36 men and chased them off their land. Joshua 7:2 6. Ai and Bethel
battle: Joshua chose 30,000 men of valor to go hide in an ambush behind Ai. Then
the rest of the army came to the front of the city and flee so that Ai would chase
them. The ambush came up and seized the city while it was unprotected and burnt it
down. Joshua 8:1 29. The Amorite confederacy: Jerusalem with king Adonizedek,

Contests in skill, strength and speed have occupied an important place in every
culture throughout the ages. The meaning of the term sport and the effect that
sport has on society is always changing. Sports have especially changed in the last
two decades and can certainly be evidence by the growing number of labor
disputes and court cases involving all sports. Labor relations did not play a
dominant role in professional sports until the early 1970 s. Prior to unions and
collective bargaining, professional athletes were treated like privileged peons. Today
sport is more career and business than avocation and pastime. Today professional

Specifically, section 8(a) (5) states that It shall be an unfair labor practice for an
employer to refuse to bargain collectively with the representatives of his
employees, subject to the provisions of section 9(a) of the law. The National Labor
Relations Board enforces the law by policing unfair labor practices committed by
either labor or management. The Board also reviews questions concerning what
issues are subject to negotiation under the law. The two most common allegations of
unfair labor practices are that the employer has disciplined or discharged players for
engaging in union activities and that the employer has refused to bargain in good
faith. The collective bargaining agreements reached in professional sports are not
industrywide. Rather, there is a separate one for baseball, football, etc. This makes
bargaining in sports unique from other unions. Also, the clubs bargain as a group
with unions over certain aspects of wages, hours and working conditions. However,
the most important issue, individual salary, is negotiated between the club and player.
The National Labor Relations Act seeks to promote collective bargaining to resolve
employer and employee concerns. Because many agreements between labor and
management sometimes affect and/or restrain competition under the context of the

How many people are tired of vacationing in the same DRAB place? How many
people are looking for some excitement, new experiences, and a chance to travel the

luxurious get away from the daily CLUTTER of society. Since, the first
transatlantic cruise in the 1900 s, over 1 billion passengers have set sail for the
high seas and half of those passengers are frequent ones. Today, I want to share the
insider secrets to why cruising is the best vacation ever and only an experienced

Additionally, having a state issue ID is also important in proving your identity as
well as your residency. You should always have your passport and an ID with you
when going to foreign countries and planning a cruise. In order to even step
aboard a cruise line you have to show your state ID as well as your passport.
Immigration is also a security issue all over the world. It would be an expensive
mistake to misplace your passport and ID, because you can be detained in a foreign
country. Secondly, some people assume in order to plan a luxurious cruise you need
a travel agent, but truly all you need is a destination and internet. A rule of thumb is
to start planning for a cruise six months in advance and collect as much knowledge
and tips from websites that specializes in the cruise ship industry. The internet is a
vast collection of information just waiting for you to access it. You don t want to
wait until the last minute to research, because that is when careless mistakes happen
and your dream cruise should be spectacular. For this reason, you should access
websites such as cruisecritic.com and cruise reviews.com. These website have pools
of knowledge that could make your cruise planning an easy endeavor instead of a

The Russian Revolution Essay
The Russian Revolution
Here are some of the causes of the Russian Revolution in March 1917:
~Failures in the War
~The mutiny in the Army
~The Tsarina and Rasputin
~Food Shortages
~Strikes
PREFACE:
In 1904 The Tsar of Russia (Nicholas II) embarked on a war with Japan, hoping for a
quick and glorious victory that would unite the country, decrease support for the Tsar
s opponents and gain control over Korea and Manchuria. Unfortunately for the Tsar,
the Japanese were well prepared, both industrially and military. The Japanese crushed
the Russian army and destroyed most of it s fleet. Damaged both militarily and
industrially, Russia had to sign a peace treaty. In 1905 the Tsar crushed the attempted
revolution using ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The other reason was transporting the crop once it was harvested. ` The USA
could fit into Russia two and a half times and over and Britain nearly 100 times`4,
the problem with transportation was that the railroads were very often the only
way to transport large amounts of goods as Russia s conditions often made roads
impassable. `By 1900 Russia had only as many miles of track as Britain`5 and
Britain was 100 times smaller. This meant that there were very large delays of
delivering food and most of it rotted before even reaching town. The only way of
transporting goods from the industrial West to the unfarmable East was the Trans
Siberian Express, which took more than a week to complete its journey from
Moscow to Vladivostok. During the WWI (which started in 1914), Food Shortages
increased greatly because more strikes begun demanding an end to the war. Strikes
of course caused food shortages as peasants began striking and not producing any
food. Also more soldiers were needed to join the army and so the factory workers
were taken to fight and peasants left the countryside to seek better jobs in factories
so fewer farmers were left to grow food. Another very important reason that caused
an increase in food shortage was that ` the Russian railway system was being used
to carry supplies to the war front and so trains carrying food to the cities had been
reduced`1so
Presidential Election Outcomes From American History
Presidential election outcomes can be determined by a plethora of factors which
include the candidate s own charisma and appeal, his rhetorics, his background (for
instance, if he is related to a past president), the strength of his campaign, or his
actual message. Though a president s rhetorics and campaigning are crucial to a
presidential election, in the end, as James Carville stated in Bill Clintons 1992
Presidential Campaign with his slogan It s the economy, stupid, the economy is and
always will be the biggest and deciding factor. In this essay, I will compare and
contrast presidential election outcomes from American history, as well as touch upon
the current outcome with present day President Barack Obamaand future predictions
for the election of 2016. I will also present counterarguments it always being the
economy, and show why the economy does indeed trump all in the end. Within the
essay, I will explore the dimensions of economic performance and how they affect
and impact presidential elections. As any economist or political scientist will point
out, social, individual, and societal factors are important, but none of any of those
factors has been more significant in helping or hurting a presidential candidate than
has the United States (and US affected by global) economy. For all potential factors
that could affect a presidential election outcome, we take in voter behaviors. Voters

Battered Woman Syndrome Analysis
As of 2014, the number of women who had been physically abused by their partner
in a relationship was 38 million. The APA s data shows that almost 5 million
women experienced physical abuse by an intimate partner. Data also revealed that
while 1 in 4 women would be abused, 1 in 7 men would also suffer from intimate
partner abuse. 40 to 45% of women would be in an abusive relationship where they
were raped or assaulted. The statistics available show that not only in domestic
violenceprevalent in our society, it is also a huge problem that must be dealt with.
It is often forgotten that abusing a partner is not just a personal injustice, but denial
of the right of a person. Due to society s little to know action to assist these victims, it
seems to be an accomplice in the abuse against a person. This has brought the
conclusion that while there still exists instances of domestic violence, especially
affecting women as largely as the numbers show, then there is no equality among the
sexes. The roots of domestic violence or women battering has been traced to the time
when women were viewed as the property ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

military, D Day was an Army designation used to indicate the start date for specific
field operations. In this case, the D in D Day doesn t actually stand for anything it s
merely an alliterative placeholder used to designate a particular day on the calendar.
The military also employed the term H Hour to refer to the time on D Day when the
action would begin. This shorthand helped prevent actual mission dates from falling
into enemy hands, but it also proved handy when the start date for an attack was still
undecided. Military planners also used a system of pluses and minuses to
designate any time or day occurring before or after D Day or H Hour. For example,
D+2 meant two days after D Day, while H 1 referred to one hour before H Hour.
These terms allowed units to effectively coordinate their operations ahead of time
even when they didn t know their actual start date, and they also provided flexibility

Trace The Pathway Of A Bill Essay
Jeanelle Carmona PSC 201 Essay #8 Trace the pathway of a bill through both
houses of congress. The process in which a bill becomes a law can be a lengthy
one, it must go through many steps in order to become the law of the land. It is
believed that this process should be a matter that every American citizen should be
informed of in order to fully understand and appreciate the inner workings of
congress with regard to The House of Representatives and the Senate. The steps in
which a bill becomes a law is an example of the democratic way of life here in The
United States. The fact that a proposal cannot become a law without consideration
and approval by both houses of congress is an outstanding virtue of our bicameral
legislative system. (Sullivan 1 2) Anyone can write a bill not just a member of
congress. Any citizen, group or organization can draw up a bill. The right to
petition is guaranteed by the first amendment. These bills are usually written in the
form of a letter. It is estimated that more then 15,000 bills are introduced to The
House of Representatives and the Senate each year. Each one is then assigned to a
committee after it is given a number. 22 of these committees belong to The House
of Representatives and 15 to the Senate. The majority of all laws originate in The
House of Representatives. These bills fall into two categories, private and public. A
public bill is any bill that affects the public or the nation. An example of a public bill
American Romanticism
Not many people know or remember what Romanticism in American Literature is
exactly. A good majority of the American population has already learned about
Romanticism in some type of English class they took in high school, but not many,
just like myself, remember it entirely. Most of the population, as a whole, should
know about Romanticismin American Literature since it was a major part in our
Literature history while also having a brief recap of the history that follows with
Romanticism. To give a recap of what Romanticism is, Romanticism was an artistic,
literary, musical, and intellectual movement which originated in Europe around the
end of the 18th century. During this time, American Literature was finding its own

Many of the authors that demonstrated Romanticism were thinking outside of the box
to get this sense of Romanticism incorporated into their work bringing creativity and
the thought of emotion and individualism together in their work. We see
Romanticism in our art, literature, and music. In the early years of Romanticism, it
quickly spread to England in 1789, then, shortly after its expansion to England, it
then was picked up on in America. The Romanticism movement was considered a
philosophical movement which, in the midst of it gaining popularity, changed the
way that people think about themselves and other people around them in the world.
Many would agree that this time would be considered an age of revolution. with the
French and American Revolution going on it changed America in a semi drastic way
both literary and as a whole society. As a result of this popular movement many
different authors, including William Cullen Bryant with Thanatopsis , Henry
Longfellow with Paul Revere s Ride , and Washington Irving with the Devil and Tom
Walker included Romanticism in their works. In my opinion, I think that The Devil
and Tom Walker portrays the most use of the idea of Romanticism. Washington
Irving starts the story out with a man named Tom Walker, who only really cared
about money. As the story goes on, Tom decides

Abstract:
This deals with bending Finite Element Analysis of the aircraft wing using
commercial software ANSYS. An aircraft wing is made of composite with fibre
angles in each ply aligned in different direction. Various air foil thickness and ply
angles were considered to study the effect of bending torsion decoupling. The
laminate characteristics are usually calculated using the number of layer, stacking
sequence, geometric and mechanical properties. A finite number of layers can be
combined to form so many laminates. The only restriction that is imposed on the
laminate as an element of composite structure concerns its total thickness which is
assumed to be much smaller than the other dimensions of the structure.
Aircraft wing model as per the plan should be made in FEA and the model is
subjected to various loading. The loading given by the self weight or due to
acceleration due to gravity was discussed and the deflection over here should be
calculated. The wing model is severely affected by the loads on along wing
direction, across wing direction, vertical direction.NACA 2412 airfoil was taken for
designing wing. FLUENT was used for computational fluid dynamic analysis to
determine the lift and drag for wing during zero degreed flaps and angled
Code Division Multiple Access

communication purpose , CDMA is an example of multiple access technology,
through which several number of transmitter can send information in a single
communication channel. In case of CDMA a particular bandwidth can shared between
several number of users. To permit this technique to achieve without undue
interference between users, spread spectrum technology and a special coding
scheme are used by CDMA. In modern era every people want to use things which
is smaller in size, can have more functionality and cost. This can only possible if we
can integrate more and more functionality into a single chip which helps achieve our
objective and demand. To achieve this human wanting the scientists have developed
a new concept that is nanotechnology. Nano implies 10^( 9) which is very small .
After nano scale development, the scientists of the semiconductor had faced many
challenges. The greater challenge was how to combine the Intellectual properties(IP)
from various sources quickly and efficiently. These have been overcome by
introducing system on chip technology which is very grooming topic in modern
technology. System on chip mostly called as SOC is a best solution of combining a

Music In The Romantic Era
Following the Pre Classical and Classical periods, a new, very distinctive style of
music emerged. The Romantic Era Lasted from the year 1820 up until the year
1900. The Romantic Era consisted of composers taking a more unique and
expressive style of music. Hector Berlioz, Fryderyck Chopin, and Robert Schumann
are considered to be the most influential composers of the Romantic Era. Nationalism
and Exoticism played a very big part of musicexpression during this period. Both, Art
song and German Lieder music styles were invented and told stories in a musical
form. These three composers helped shape this era through the use of the pianoand the
use of a more supernatural realm style of music.
Hector Berlioz was born in the year 1803 in France. At the age of twenty two he left
his career to pursue his musical career. He went on to composing his first
symphony at the age of twenty seven. Hector was highly criticized in his homeland
France for his music. It was very painful for hector to be rejected from the musical
community and deemed as a laughing stock. After receiving the negative reviews
of his music, he stated, I belong to a nation which has ceased to be interested in the
nobler manifestations of intelligence, and whose only deity is the golden calf. The
Parisians have become a barbarous people (Berlioz, 2016). He had to work very hard
to be able to afford all of the costs for his performances and was pretty much ignored
throughout his musical career. He was later
How Skateboards Invented

roller skates, Wikipedia notes that skateboarding was originally denoted sidewalk
surfing and early skaters emulated surfing style and maneuvers, and performed
barefoot. 1970s It took a new type of wheel to bring skateboarding back into the
spotlight. With the invention

unavailing for Williams to argue that employees must take greater care to avoid

Brown And Levinson s Theory Of The Politeness Theory
2.1 Politeness Theory
The term politeness is defined as a verbal approach to maintain harmony between a
speaker and a hearer by reducing the risk of damaged face (Brown and Levinson,
1987; Clark and Schunk, 1980; Lakoff, 1973, 1977). Therefore, politeness has been
considered as one of the conflict avoidance strategies since it builds collaborative
social interaction (Eelen, 2001; Watts, 2003). For instance, when a speaker makes
request to the listener, the speaker will use politeness as a strategy to reduce threat to
the listener s face caused by the request (Clark and Schunk, 1980). In doing so,
speakers show their respect to the listener (Brown and Levinson, 1987). Furthermore,
marketing literature has identified politeness as a communication ... Show more

Facework has to be performed either by the person whose face is being threatened
or by the offender in order to eliminate the risk of losing face. Goffman claims the
term to lose face as to be in a wrong face, to be out of face, or to be shamefaced. In a
situation where the provided information related to someone s identity does not
represent the line he is maintaining, he can be said to be in a wrong face. In a
situation where a person has not prepare for a line he is expected to take in

threatened. In contrast, when a person is in face, he has confidence and assurance
thus allowing him to talk fimly and present himself openly to

There is a mysterious difference between love and sex in relationships. Often
people confuse the two in the climax of intimacy; however there is a big difference

Tambien, the complexities of love and sex are confronted. In both movies the
filmmakers used omniscient narrators and produced imagery in international film that

clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. And Jesus said to him, see that
you say nothing to anyone, but go and show yourself to the Priest and offer the gift
that Moses commanded for proof to them And the great crowds followed Him from
Galilee and the Decapolis, and from Jerusalem and Judea and from beyond the Jordan.
Leprosy like all other bodily diseases was prevalent at the time. It was a
representative figure of the spiritual disease called profanation of good and of truth
which prevailed in the Jewish church at that time. Profanation means those acts that
were not considered to be biblical and sacred, thus the Leper was guilty of
profanation, because he had knowledge of what was true and good but acted contrary

Literature Review Of Sex Offender And Sexual Offences
Chapter 1 Literature Review 1.1Definition: Sex offender and Sexual offence A sex
offender is an individual convicted of a sex crime including such offences as rape,
sexual assault, offences related to prostitution, or against children, severe
pornography and the ownership and circulation of offensive images (The Crown
Prosecution Service, 2017) or who evinces a paraphilic disorder as classified in The
Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (5th ed.; DSM 5; American
Psychiatric Association, 2013). 1.2.Statistical Data 1.2.1Ireland Sex offenders are
viewed by society as remorseless, unrehabilitable, monsters (Scheela, 2001, p.757)
therefore it is disconcerting to comprehend sexual offences, both in Ireland and
internationally are increasing. According to the Central Statistics Office in Ireland
(2014), there were 1,480 sexual offences recorded in 2009, rising... Show more

Through its cognitive behavioural approach, offenders are encouraged to develop
significant life goals and change cognitive and behavioural patterns to reduce the risk
of re offending once re integrated into the community (HM Prison Probation Service,
2017). Research shows sex offenders receiving treatment, either in prison or in the
community have lower sexual reconviction rates compared to those who do not
receive treatment, which concurs with findings from an exploratory investigation of
twenty six research studies which showed a 27% reduction in sexual offending for
sex offenders receiving treatment (Schmucker Losel, 2009). Circles of Support and
Accountability schemes also operate throughout the country and work together with
sex offenders to help minimise isolation and support re integration back into the
community to reduce re offending (Circles UK,

  • 1. Sample Illustration Essay Crafting an essay, especially one centered around a broad topic like "Sample Illustration Essay," can be a challenging endeavor. The difficulty lies not only in the research and collection of relevant examples but also in the art of effectively illustrating concepts and ideas. To create a compelling illustration essay, one must carefully select examples that vividly represent the point being made, ensuring they resonate with the audience. This process demands a keen eye for detail and the ability to weave a coherent narrative. Furthermore, the writer needs to strike a balance between providing enough examples to support their thesis and avoiding an overwhelming amount of information. Clarity and conciseness are crucial, as a convoluted essay may fail to convey the intended message effectively. Structuring the essay in a logical sequence, with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion, adds an additional layer of complexity. Moreover, the challenge extends to ensuring that the examples chosen are not only relevant but also diverse enough to capture the readers' interest. This diversity requires a comprehensive understanding of the topic and the ability to connect seemingly disparate examples into a cohesive whole. In the process of writing, the author must also consider the tone and style, adapting them to the target audience. This involves navigating the fine line between being informative and engaging, a task that demands a nuanced approach. In conclusion, tackling the creation of an essay on a topic like "Sample Illustration Essay" requires a combination of research skills, critical thinking, and effective communication. It's a demanding task that necessitates a thoughtful selection of examples, meticulous organization, and a keen awareness of the audience. Despite the challenges, mastering the art of crafting illustration essays can be a rewarding skill. If you find yourself struggling with such tasks or if you need assistance with various types of essays, similar writing services and much more can be ordered on HelpWriting.net. • 2. Pegylated, Interferon-A Literature Review HCV infection is most commonly treated with Pegylated, Interferon a (IFN a) and Ribavirin (18). There is a raising discussion about the IFN treatment, once is believed that it can improve neurocognitive function after clearing the virus; however, the therapy is linked to psychiatric side effects such as depressive symptoms, fatigue and insomnia (19). Several studies demonstrated the enhancement in the cognition using different methods during and after the treatment with IFN (6). They defended that patients with CHC score worse in the tasks than controls on HRQoL indices, and they improved their scores after the successful antiviral therapy (6), which is illustrated on the bar graph (Figure 4). Figure 4. The bar graph demonstrates a significant impairment in cognition during IFN therapy and an improve on cognitive function after the discontinuation of the regimen. (Adapted from Cattie J, Letendre S, Woods S, Barakat F,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The most common findings were physical functioning and fatigue (20). Interferon alpha (IFN a) is the antiviral drug for CHC infection, and it is related to an enhancement in the likelihood of depression (6). Some studies found prefrontal hypometabolism during the therapy, which was related to depression during the regimen (21). Actually, it is believed that IFN may cause a temporary deterioration of HRQol, once it induces depression and other adverse symptoms. The evidence that supports this finding is that after the clearance of the virus, there is an improvement in HRqOL and it is also true for patients pos transplanted (7). Often, these symptoms remit in 2 3 weeks; however, some patients remain with the symptoms after the discontinuation of IFN treatment (7). The mechanism that underlies the effect of IFN in the cognition is the proinflammatory cytokine release, which can induce neuropsychiatric symptoms
  • 3. Preferred Partner Networks (PPN) The growth of Preferred Partner Networks (PPN) in physiotherapy is another market trend that might be relevant as Physio4D defines its monetization strategy. PPNs have existed in multiple forms within the healthcare delivery system and the Ontario Physiotherapist Association has stated (January 2006) that it does not endorse or discourage such contractual relationships among providers8. Most PPNs are initiated by insurers, employers and other third party payers to access healthcare services at a discounted rate by providing more referrals to partnering clinics. Some preferred provider relationships are established to create a provider pool that can be relied on to accommodate referrals or to allow for priority access. Others are established to create a ready made referral network8. PPNs are characterized by one or more of the following8,9 They involve a contractual relationship between the insurer and the health practitioner, often including pre arranged prices for a basket of services, within specific timeframes, with pre established lines of communication, reporting requirements, data collection. The claimant s participation in the PPN will result from an insurer s referral. In most instances, the treatment provided by a PPN is pre approved by the insurer, or the insurer may have set a cap on the cost or number of weeks of treatment, subject to the minimum requirements set out in the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (automobile insurance specific policy). • 4. Should Sports Be A Required Part Of Elementary Education... Test scores from the Program for International Student Assessment showed that American 14 years olds scored below their international peers in math, reading and science. Among 34 developed countries, the United States ranked 26th in math, 21st in science and 17th in reading (Mercury News 2013). Many people believe that US educational system is flawed and that urgently needs to be fixed. They debate whether sports should be a required part of elementary education. Assuming that bad test results have nothing to do with sports, should sports be a required part of elementary education? Schools should inform children and their parents about positive and possible negative aspects of sports and then kids with parents should decide themselves whether or not to participate in sports. Sports shouldn t be a required part of elementary education in the United States because everyone should have a chance to make a choice: Imagine going out to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Poland is a surprising educational success story: in the course of less than a decade, the country raised students test scores from significantly below average for the developed world to significantly above it; Polish kids now outscore American kids in math and science, even though Poland spends, on average, less than half as much per student as the United States does. One of the most striking differences between the high school Tom attended in Gettysburg and the one he ends up in Wroclaw is that the latter has no football team, or, for that matter, teams of any kind. This example is a good illustration that education and sports don t work together. Yes, Tom is a high school student and not elementary school student, but if sport was damaging for education in high school why it should be beneficial in elementary
  • 5. The Importance Of A Formal Multicultural Education All people I interviewed did not receive a formal multicultural education and they learned from their interactions with people at their home, church, working places as well as from their travels. They all agreed that knowing people from diverse cultural backgrounds had enriched their life experiences. However, they all agreed that similar human experiences are shared among different races and genders. Implicit test results told me that I hold more personal biases than I had thought. These unchecked biases may have potentially kept us from forming fair judgments toward others. Interestingly, when racial issues are in the conversation, it s always about white black relation, like other minorities do not account. My Chinese friend is a college graduate, a minority, and an immigrant in this country. She had to take jobs that a less educated person could do because of her lack of English proficiency. Although she is competent and skilled in her job, she is still treated as less qualified than her white coworker. Is it fair using English proficiency as a criterion to judge people? I do not have an answer for this. I did not bring this up to my friend because I don t want to make her feel victimized and less happy from now on. At the same time, I was surprised that there are people like one of my coworkers who do not acknowledge racial issues in this country. Therefore, raising the awareness of racial issues is necessary. I hope that my Catholic coworker will recognize and

This era manifested authors like Harper Lee, Flannery O Conner, William Faulkner, and Edgar Allen Poe who were all illuminating their readers while heir focus was around the history of southern slavery. The artistic direction simultaneously permits scholars to appreciate when identifying with this music video signs and symbols while realizing the reasonable grounds behind Southern GothicLiterature. The symbolism of the Moors standing in front of a historic French Creole style plantation/ mansion, while snapshots of oil paintings on the wall of an African American woman in jump cuts is another way to show a connection that identifies with the French Creole culture which also links in with the Moors, African Heritage, and BeyoncГ© s lineage. There is a quick shot of BeyoncГ© wearing all white in reflection of the attire worn in that era by this wealthy race of people. The symbolism of the Victorian Era relates to the ideology of femininity. Her lyrics specifically says, Okay ladies now let s get in formation . • 7. Angelina Grimke Abolition Because of her concern for white masters and resulting choices to abandon her famous slave holding family to move to the North, to write an address to southern women, and to speak in front of audiences of both men and women, Angelina Grimke adopted the abolitionist cause and often challenged her role in society. Originally, Grimke was promoting abolition out of concern for whites as she believed that slavery was anti Christian; she was seen trying to discourage family from having slaves out of concern for her salvation. Summaries and knights have very little in common, but have much more difference. In Europe knights were hired because the central government lost their power. Warlords fought each other to see who would have the most territory. The Western Roman Empire had fallen in the late 400s, leaving the continent divided and the weak kingdoms apart. Japan had found itself in pieces, but most people kept the land in order by a system called feudalism. There were two types of Warriors. Copernicus played another huge roll by some of his other theories such as, passages in the Bible imply that the earth does not move, the apparent annual cycle of movements of the sun is caused by the earth orbiting it. which completely contradicts the Bible, he was right though with each and every theory, however none of them could be published until later on because all of his theories went completely against the Bible, the Church at this time would never allow someone to publish work with clear and hard evidence against them. (Sullivan 1 2) Anyone can write a bill not just a member of congress. Any citizen, group or organization can draw up a bill. The right to petition is guaranteed by the first amendment. These bills are usually written in the form of a letter. It is estimated that more then 15,000 bills are introduced to The House of Representatives and the Senate each year. Each one is then assigned to a committee after it is given a number. 22 of these committees belong to The House of Representatives and 15 to the Senate. The majority of all laws originate in The House of Representatives. These bills fall into two categories, private and public. A public bill is any bill that affects the public or the nation. An example of a public bill
  • 29. American Romanticism Not many people know or remember what Romanticism in American Literature is exactly. A good majority of the American population has already learned about Romanticism in some type of English class they took in high school, but not many, just like myself, remember it entirely. Most of the population, as a whole, should know about Romanticismin American Literature since it was a major part in our Literature history while also having a brief recap of the history that follows with Romanticism. To give a recap of what Romanticism is, Romanticism was an artistic, literary, musical, and intellectual movement which originated in Europe around the end of the 18th century. During this time, American Literature was finding its own voice, known... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many of the authors that demonstrated Romanticism were thinking outside of the box to get this sense of Romanticism incorporated into their work bringing creativity and the thought of emotion and individualism together in their work. We see Romanticism in our art, literature, and music. In the early years of Romanticism, it quickly spread to England in 1789, then, shortly after its expansion to England, it then was picked up on in America. The Romanticism movement was considered a philosophical movement which, in the midst of it gaining popularity, changed the way that people think about themselves and other people around them in the world. Many would agree that this time would be considered an age of revolution. with the French and American Revolution going on it changed America in a semi drastic way both literary and as a whole society. As a result of this popular movement many different authors, including William Cullen Bryant with Thanatopsis , Henry Longfellow with Paul Revere s Ride , and Washington Irving with the Devil and Tom Walker included Romanticism in their works. In my opinion, I think that The Devil and Tom Walker portrays the most use of the idea of Romanticism. Washington Irving starts the story out with a man named Tom Walker, who only really cared about money. As the story goes on, Tom decides

Aircraft Wing Essay Design and Analysis of aircraft Wing Suraj Kumar K L University, Green Fields, Vaddeswaram, Guntur District, A.P, INDIA, 522502 Department of Mechanical Engineering, (id no. 13007522) Abstract: This deals with bending Finite Element Analysis of the aircraft wing using commercial software ANSYS. An aircraft wing is made of composite with fibre angles in each ply aligned in different direction. Various air foil thickness and ply angles were considered to study the effect of bending torsion decoupling. The laminate characteristics are usually calculated using the number of layer, stacking sequence, geometric and mechanical properties. A finite number of layers can be combined to form so many laminates. The only restriction that is imposed on the laminate as an element of composite structure concerns its total thickness which is assumed to be much smaller than the other dimensions of the structure. Aircraft wing model as per the plan should be made in FEA and the model is subjected to various loading. The loading given by the self weight or due to acceleration due to gravity was discussed and the deflection over here should be calculated. The wing model is severely affected by the loads on along wing direction, across wing direction, vertical direction.NACA 2412 airfoil was taken for designing wing. FLUENT was used for computational fluid dynamic analysis to determine the lift and drag for wing during zero degreed flaps and angled

Multiple access technique is a broad area for communication purpose , CDMA is an example of multiple access technology, through which several number of transmitter can send information in a single communication channel. In case of CDMA a particular bandwidth can shared between several number of users. To permit this technique to achieve without undue interference between users, spread spectrum technology and a special coding scheme are used by CDMA. In modern era every people want to use things which is smaller in size, can have more functionality and cost. This can only possible if we can integrate more and more functionality into a single chip which helps achieve our objective and demand. To achieve this human wanting the scientists have developed a new concept that is nanotechnology. Nano implies 10^( 9) which is very small . After nano scale development, the scientists of the semiconductor had faced many challenges. The greater challenge was how to combine the Intellectual properties(IP) from various sources quickly and efficiently. These have been overcome by introducing system on chip technology which is very grooming topic in modern technology. System on chip mostly called as SOC is a best solution of combining a number on functionality into a single chip. System on chip is called as bus architecture based technology. System on chip is

The Romantic Era consisted of composers taking a more unique and expressive style of music. Hector Berlioz, Fryderyck Chopin, and Robert Schumann are considered to be the most influential composers of the Romantic Era. Nationalism and Exoticism played a very big part of musicexpression during this period. Both, Art song and German Lieder music styles were invented and told stories in a musical form. These three composers helped shape this era through the use of the pianoand the use of a more supernatural realm style of music. Hector Berlioz was born in the year 1803 in France. At the age of twenty two he left his career to pursue his musical career. He went on to composing his first symphony at the age of twenty seven. Hector was highly criticized in his homeland France for his music. It was very painful for hector to be rejected from the musical community and deemed as a laughing stock. After receiving the negative reviews of his music, he stated, I belong to a nation which has ceased to be interested in the nobler manifestations of intelligence, and whose only deity is the golden calf. The Parisians have become a barbarous people (Berlioz, 2016). He had to work very hard to be able to afford all of the costs for his performances and was pretty much ignored throughout his musical career. He was later

Crafted out of square wooden boards with a set of skate wheels from roller skates, Wikipedia notes that skateboarding was originally denoted sidewalk surfing and early skaters emulated surfing style and maneuvers, and performed barefoot. 1970s It took a new type of wheel to bring skateboarding back into the spotlight. It is unavailing for Williams to argue that employees must take greater care to avoid placing themselves in harm s way or that management can expect an employee not [to] intentionally place himself in danger, because such a claim misconstrues the purpose of the OSHA safety standards. In turn, Williams argument was not effective due to the fact that it is the responsibility of the foreman and/or owner of the construction to provide training to any new hire or reassigned employee working on the site. OSHA also provided testimony and/or proof from there investigation that employees were not being trained before they began working on the site. It is the responsibility of any employer to ensure that all employees have been provided company safety manuals and OSHA regulations, as well as training sessions to make sure they are knowledgeable of the information. The company demonstrated negligence when a supervisor testified that the safety manual was behind the seat of his truck and he never referred to it to make sure they followed safety protocol. Therefore, the fines should not have been decreased from $91,000 to $22,000 nor

  • 38. Brown And Levinson s Theory Of The Politeness Theory 2.1 Politeness Theory The term politeness is defined as a verbal approach to maintain harmony between a speaker and a hearer by reducing the risk of damaged face (Brown and Levinson, 1987; Clark and Schunk, 1980; Lakoff, 1973, 1977). Therefore, politeness has been considered as one of the conflict avoidance strategies since it builds collaborative social interaction (Eelen, 2001; Watts, 2003). For instance, when a speaker makes request to the listener, the speaker will use politeness as a strategy to reduce threat to the listener s face caused by the request (Clark and Schunk, 1980). In doing so, speakers show their respect to the listener (Brown and Levinson, 1987). Furthermore, marketing literature has identified politeness as a communication ... Often people confuse the two in the climax of intimacy; however there is a big difference between them both. Love is an emotion that you feel, and sex is a physical act or biological event. Both can occur without the presence of the other. In the 2002 French comedy romance AmГ©lie and the 2001 Mexican drama film, Y Tu MamГЎ Tambien, the complexities of love and sex are confronted. In both movies the filmmakers used omniscient narrators and produced imagery in international film that in its own right, encompasses the paradigms of foreign culture while simultaneously connecting artistic entertainment. After watching both, I will analyze the film components, providing a perspective of the essential elements used by the filmmakers in each. The concept used in AmГ©lie is a 3 Act Structure, which consist of the Set up, the Confrontation and the Resolution. As described in our textbook act one, which he calls the set up introduces the story, characters and setting. Act two, the confrontation, focuses on the conflicts that come between the main characters and their goals. Act three, resolution, settles these conflicts and ties up carious plot lines. (Prince, p. 233) In the Exposition we are introduced to the characteristics of AmГ©lie, her childhood and her life as an adult. In the confrontation we learn AmГ©lie is in love and mysteriously hides her identity to him sending him on scavenger hunts leading to

It is prudent for us whenever we feel our minds affected with a spiritual palsy, to apply immediately, like the faithful Centurion, to our God and Saviour for his healing virtue, and to apply to him with that living faith in His Diviine Omnipotence, for which the Centurion was so eminently distinguished. Jesus Cleanses a Leper (Matthew 8: v. 1 5): When he came down from the mountain, great crowds followed Him. And behold, a Leper came to Him and knelt before Him, saying Lord, if you will, you can make me clean. And Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him saying, I will, be clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. And Jesus said to him, see that you say nothing to anyone, but go and show yourself to the Priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded for proof to them And the great crowds followed Him from Galilee and the Decapolis, and from Jerusalem and Judea and from beyond the Jordan. Leprosy like all other bodily diseases was prevalent at the time. It was a representative figure of the spiritual disease called profanation of good and of truth which prevailed in the Jewish church at that time. Profanation means those acts that were not considered to be biblical and sacred, thus the Leper was guilty of profanation, because he had knowledge of what was true and good but acted contrary to
