The Clouds by Aristophanes, is a play centrally concerned with education.
Aristophanes employs satire to illustrate his conservative beliefs. It is intended to
show readers that in the tendency to philosophical subtleties lies the neglection of the
real needs of the Athenians. According to Aristophanes, philosophical speculation
only acts to shake the established foundations of accepted religion, gods, and ideals

In doing some background research into why this would be, I discovered that
Aristophanes religious undertones could stem from the fact that Athenians were
trying to harmonize science and religion. When new scientific theories were starting
to surface and be questioned, many people couldn t even consider them without
sounding as if they were committing treason against the state. Aristophanes turns to
religion in order to remind his audience that both religion and science have to be
equally open to questions, critique, and even in Aristophanes case, satire. This
suggestion, that certain things need to be equally suceptable to to critique and
questions can also be seen through the way that
Aristophanes suggests there is both a problem with the accepted model of a well
rounded education, and the newer model brought about by such philopophers as the
Sophists. Aristophanes saw the danger in not questioning an accepted theory or
belief. Despite the fact I agree with Johnson in that Aristophanes may be a
staunch defender of old values, Aristophanes saw that if something widely accepted
was left unquestioned for too long, it would become idle. Basically, an idea that I

The Indian society adopted a class or caste system from the Indus Valley people.
Just like the Indus society had priest rulers, the Indian society has the high class
Indian Brahmins, which are seen as the priestly class. Trade was a very big part of
the Indus Valley society, everything that they did, everything that they made was to
ensure that they were able to create and trade more effectively. The class system
during the Indus Valley civilizationis extremely similar to the class system seen in
Pakistan and Indiatoday. There were farmers, who grew crops, mustard, sesame,
grapes, dates, melons, and khan. There were traders, these people were extremely
good at what they did, and this is one of the reasons why the Indus Valley
Civilization was able to prosper for so long. There were craftsmen, these people
made things for people to use in everyday life. Just like today, they would be
people that would make things and other people who would buy them. This
contributed to the stability of the Indus civilization. Just like most ancient
civilizations, priests played an important part in ruling the civilization. They were
seen as the closest to God, and that is why they were given such authority and
power. For people who follow religions, the religious leaders are very important
because they are seen as all knowing are respected by the people of the religious

Through their process of creating their newspaper they endured many trials of deal
with hatred and being criticized for their choices. Through the time of creating the

1780s, a first generation of leaders began to address issues if identity, self
determination, and group consciousness. They did so against a backdrop of racism,
oppression, violence, and tension within the new republic about slaveryand the place

Douglass, and Solomon Northrup are leaders for overcoming slavery, shaping African
