Scope of Position: 
As a District Sales Executive, you will be responsible for a designated territory within the applied 
areas. Regardless of experience, you will be required to complete Expeditors product training and 
thus be able to sell all its services. You will be responsible for prospecting, cold calling, and 
qualifying potential clients. In conjunction with local management, you will also be responsible for 
proposing customized logistic solutions to the customer, closing business, and the implementation 
and retention of business. You will be expected to meet specific net revenue and sales call goals. 
The ideal candidate has both operational and sales experience. A demonstrated ability to self-manage 
and motivate is critical. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 
You must have a professional attitude and attire and be able to accept and exemplify Expeditors ' 
unique culture. 
Major Duties and Responsibilities 
 Manage and organize work efforts to exceed sales plan as developed in conjunction with local 
management. 
 Achieve sales goals through hands-on market planning, personal sales execution and 
development of business relationships with key customers, new business and retention. 
 Maintain constant familiarization of product offerings and developments. 
 Research and maintain current information regarding: 
o Competitive information 
o Customers and their requirements 
o Specific solutions offered to customers 
o Potential New Product Developments 
o Feedback to our local product & geographic leaders 
 Attend local branch sales meetings and contribute strategic information to the team including 
key results from your past weeks calls, updates on current target accounts and a review of this 
week’s key upcoming calls.

Calls Per Week: 
 The guideline for the number of sales calls is 15 per week. 60% of these calls should be set 
aside for target accounts, 30% for Prospects and 10% for retention. All Call information must be 
entered into the CRM. 
Personal Development: 
 Meets company standards of 52 hours training per year per employee. 
 Attend training classes when required. 
 Complete mandatory training when required.

Qualifications, Experience and Education Requirements 
 Three years’ experience in sales, preferably in a related industry. 
 Displayed sense of urgency, attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities, working 
well under pressure. 
 Strong sense of confidentiality. 
 Ability to work additional hours as necessary. 
Reporting Structure 
District Sales Manager (Direct) 
If the office does not have a District Sales Manager, they report directly to the District Manager.
