The aim of this research is to determine Second Language Acquisition and personality variable from affective factors analyzed by Artificial Neural Network in freshman class of both university students. This study presents an intelligent approach to the investigation of positive effects of personality on second language learning. For this purpose, watching TV, reading books, magazines, newspaper, listening to the radio, talking to a native English friend, and talking to people at school are investigated. The tool of our research is a survey (questionnaire) to collect a data in order to quantify students ‘personality traits based on affective factors. The questionnaire consists of two parts. The first part consists of Yes/ No questions while the second part uses a 4 point Likert scale with 5 items that indicates what helped students personally to learn English. The participants were 160 students from two private universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, International Burch University (90 students) and International University of Sarajevo (70). The subjects’ major was English. The first part of the survey was analyzed using ANN, and the second part using statistical analysis. Both data analysis were processed by transferring answers to an Excel sheet. For each measure, mode, standard deviation, median were calculated to determine students’ personality factors. We used two different types of analysis in order to show that different kinds of analysis can be done.

This paper presents the results of a study investigating the impact of participant personality on usability testing. Data were collected from 20 individuals who participated in a series of usability tests. The participants were grouped into 10 introverts and 10 extroverts, and were asked to complete a set of four experimental tasks related to the usability of an academic website. The results of the study revealed that extroverts were more successful than introverts in terms of finding information as well as discovering usability problems, although the types of problems found by both groups were mostly minor. It was also found that extroverts spent more time on tasks but made more mistakes than introverts. From these findings, it is evident that personality dimensions have significant impacts on usability testing outcomes, and thus should be taken into consideration as a key factor of usability testing.

Internet and rapid digitalization has impacted every aspect of lives across all age groups by making our communication impersonal. Usage of social media and Social Networking Sites (SNS) has increased significantly with far reaching impacts on the social, emotional, academic and physical development of the youth today. All forms of communications particularly, face-to-face social interactions have been reduced to virtual chats over the internet. Extensive usage of SNS is also influencing their interpersonal relationships particularly with their family members, friends and society at large which is likely to be more pronounced in the impressionable age group of 15 – 25 years. This paper endeavors to throw light on above mentioned aspects through research, review of literature and aims to examine the impact of social media on the social behavior of urban Indian youth with special reference to the youth of Ahmedabad.

National Institute of Mass Communication and Journalism (NIMCJ) took this opportunity to study on the media consumption pattern in this lockdown period and tried to understand how people consumed data and contents in various forms.
This document summarizes a research study that analyzed the attitudes of teachers-in-training (B.Ed. students) toward e-learning. The study examined differences based on gender and rural/urban location. Key findings:

It outlines the problem that pencil-based assessments are still used despite more technology being integrated into literacy instruction. The purpose is to understand students' technology experience, investigate if differences exist between scores on paper vs. computer tests, and how aligning instruction and assessment impacts achievement. A mixed methods sequential exploratory design is proposed to address the research questions through quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.

impacting the intention to adopt mobile blackboard. Eleven selected model on the Mobile learning
adoption were comprehensively reviewed. From the reviewed articles, the most factors are identified. Also,
from the frequency analysis, the most frequent factors in the Mobile blackboard or Mobile learning
adoption studies are performance expectancy, effort expectancy, perceived playfulness, facilitating
conditions, self-management, cost and past experiences. The descriptive statistic was performed to gather
the respondents’ demographic information. It also shows that the respondents agreed on nearly every
statement item. Pearson correlation and regression analysis were also conducted.

This study examined gender performance data on Texas math assessments from 2004-2010. The study found:
1) There were no statistically significant differences between male and female scores overall, but males scored slightly higher on most objectives in 2004.
2) By 2010, scores between males and females were more equivalent across objectives.
3) Further analysis of differences by objective could help improve math achievement for all students.
This study explored the trends in students’ achievement in Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) in Further Mathematics in Kwara State, Nigeria. The study adopted descriptive research design of ex-post factor type. The sample comprised all Further Mathematics students in 79 public senior secondary schools with 3 Local Government Areas in Kwara State. Two research questions were raised and answered in the study. Frequency count, Percentage and Autoregressive (AR) processes for modelling of time series analyses were used to analyse the data. The results revealed that the trend of students’ achievement in WASSCE Further Mathematics from 2007 to 2016 was stochastic with random walk steadily progressive and percentage of the students obtained credit ranged from 23.0 to 77.3; pass ranged from 18.2 to 72.2 and fail ranged from 0.0 to 25.8. It was recommended among others that stakeholders in education should improve the quest for scientific literacy particularly for science-based subjects and further Mathematics curriculum should be all inclusive and non-discriminating to allow development of problem solving ability.

This study examined gender differences in middle school students' use of smartphones and social media for learning, socializing, and entertainment. Surveys were administered to 36 students (11 boys, 25 girls) about their social media and smartphone usage. Results showed that girls had more positive perceptions of smartphones for learning, social connection, and entertainment compared to boys. Limitations included a small sample size dominated by females from one location. Future work aims to conduct a larger study comparing usage across different age groups and exploring how communication technologies can support learning regardless of gender.

The results showed that the intensity of social media use had no significant influence on personal relationships or job performance. Extraversion and openness to experience were found to have a significant positive influence on personal relationships and job performance. Social media usage and extraversion were also found to have a significant positive effect on personal relationships.

This study examined the effect of cell phone attachment on anxiety levels. 37 college students between ages 18-52 participated, split into a control group that kept their phones and an experimental group that had phones taken away. Both groups completed a reading passage, memory test, and anxiety test. The experimental group that had phones removed reported higher anxiety levels than the control group, suggesting that being separated from cell phones causes distress, revealing people's strong attachment to their devices today.
Mobile phones are a dominant form of information and communication technology, with India ranking second in the
global telecommunication market. Most individuals start using mobile phones from the age of 12 and technology
becomes an integral part of their lives. This research studied the impact of mobile phone use on the academic
performance of secondary school students in the Namsai district of Arunachal Pradesh. The study adopted a
descriptive survey research method with a sample size of 40 students from 4 selected schools, each contributing 5
boys and 5 girls by using stratified random sampling technique. A self-constructed scale with four points, referred to
as a Likert-type scale, entitled "Mobile Phone and Students’ Academic Performance of Secondary School
questionnaire, was employed in order to evaluate the utilization of mobile phones as well as the students’ academic
performance of secondary schools. The study's results showed significant impacts of mobile phone use on the
academic performance of students during the COVID-19 pandemic. It pointed out the negative effects of their usage,
such as distractions in academic work, health issues, and time loss. However, the study establishes that appropriate
usage of cellular device can provide benefits in academic performance.

This study explored the influence of social media usage and personality traits on personal relationships and job performance. 207 Mongolian employees participated in the study. The results showed that the intensity of social media use had no significant influence on personal relationships or job performance. Extraversion and openness to experience were found to have a significant positive influence on personal relationships and job performance. Social media usage and extraversion were also found to have a significant positive effect on personal relationships.

Both groups completed a reading passage, memory test, and anxiety test. The experimental group that had phones removed reported higher anxiety levels than the control group, suggesting that being separated from cell phones causes distress, revealing people's strong attachment to their devices today.
Mobile phones are a dominant form of information and communication technology, with India ranking second in the
global telecommunication market. Most individuals start using mobile phones from the age of 12 and technology
becomes an integral part of their lives. This research studied the impact of mobile phone use on the academic
performance of secondary school students in the Namsai district of Arunachal Pradesh. The study adopted a
descriptive survey research method with a sample size of 40 students from 4 selected schools, each contributing 5
boys and 5 girls by using stratified random sampling technique. A self-constructed scale with four points, referred to
as a Likert-type scale, entitled "Mobile Phone and Students’ Academic Performance of Secondary School
questionnaire, was employed in order to evaluate the utilization of mobile phones as well as the students’ academic
performance of secondary schools. The study's results showed significant impacts of mobile phone use on the
academic performance of students during the COVID-19 pandemic. It pointed out the negative effects of their usage,
such as distractions in academic work, health issues, and time loss. However, the study establishes that appropriate
usage of cellular device can provide benefits in academic performance.

Three key components were identified as influential aspects towards an individual’s likelihood to following health recommendations.An exploratory research approach with descriptive research design was adopted tor the study. Sample size were 250 college students of District Fatehgarh Saheb Punjab. Colleges are selected convenient by lottery method. Data was collected through nomophobia scale, knowledge questionnaire and checklist. Major findings shows that majority 140 56.06 of samples has moderate level of Nomophobia. 203 81.20 of samples have good knowledge level regarding smartphone, 29 11.6 have poor knowledge level. Majority 188 75.29 of samples has moderate level of effect on their life due to smartphone use, 49 19.6 have mild level of effect.There is significant association between level of nomophobia of samples with years of using mobile phone and there is also a significant association between level of nomophobia of samples with their frequent reason of using mobile phone.The association between level of knowledge of samples with their age is significant at 0.05 level of significance and the association between level of knowledge of samples with their educational level is significant at 0.05 level of significance. There is a positive correlation between levels of nomophobia and effects of using smartphone among college students. There is a negative correlation between levels of knowledge and effects of using smartphone among college students.Recommendations were that a similar study can be conducted among students of other stream and with different usage pattern of smartphone. While anyone can get distracted behind the wheel, some people may be more prone than others, according to a study published Friday in Frontiers in Psychology by Ole Johansson, a researcher at Norway's Institute of Transport Economics.
The study looks at the driving habits and personalities of hundreds of Norwegian high schoolers and adults. While few reported distracted driving was a problem for them, some patterns about who was more likely to be distracted emerged.
Young men were among the most likely to report distraction due to phones but also people talking in the car or flipping through the radio dial. The study found that the more distraction-prone included frequent drivers, and those with neurotic and extroverted personalities.
Also, people who felt that distracted driving was socially acceptable or didn't feel they could control distractions were also more likely to report distracted driving, the study shows. Older women and those who felt that they could control their behavior were less likely to report distraction.
The study also looked at potential interventions, such as giving drivers a quiz of sorts, asking them "If/Then" questions designed to make them think about distracted driving. For example, "If I find myself wondering whether someone has sent me a text, then I will __" (remind myself it's against the law, remember it's dangerous to do so, etc.) However, this particular intervention did not cause a big dip in distracted driving.
Still, the Norwegian study is the first of its kind to look at the connections between intentions and behavior when it comes to distracted driving, and it adds to emerging data on the impact of personalities and gender.

In two experiments, we evaluated the extent to which the mere presence of mobile
communication devices shape relationship quality in dyadic settings. In both, we found
evidence they can have negative effects on closeness, connection, and conversation
quality. These results demonstrate that the presence of mobile phones can interfere with
human relationships, an effect that is most clear when individuals are discussing person-
ally meaningful topics.

technology influences face-to-face interactions. The present paper empirically explores
this issue for the first time and examines the effects of merely having a mobile phone
present during in-person conversations.
Psychological research on phone use broadly suggests that it is often aimed as a
source of entertainment and a means for sociability (O’Keefe & Sulanowski, 1995), and
indicates the use of phones is largely a way to feel closer with family members, to
express care for others, and to be available to others (Leung & Wei, 2000). Despite the

1) An online survey of 3,461 girls ages 8-12 examined relationships between social well-being, media use, face-to-face communication, and media multitasking. 2) Higher use of media like phones, online communication, videos and music were linked to negative social well-being, while more face-to-face communication was linked to positive social well-being. 3) Media multitasking was also associated with negative social indicators, while having a TV or computer in the bedroom had little direct impact on well-being.
The aim of this study was to verify the dimensions of Internet addiction in
Albanian. This study employed “Internet Addiction Scale for Adolescents” to
determine internet addiction. The verification of language equivalence, the
scale form was administered to 164 university students studying at AAB
College Faculty of Psychology and 61 High School students studying at the
British School of Kosovo (altogether 245). In addition, the Cronbach Alpha
internal srability coefficient was found to be .828. It was observed that the
factor load values of the scale items varied between .56 and .72. The KaiserMeyer-Olkin
coefficient (KMO) was 0.82 and the Bartlett x2 Sphericity
value was 605,874 (p<.000). In confirmatory factor analysis, it was seen that
the one-dimensional structure of the scale provided a good fit. [x
