Problem Statement
Organizational functions should be changed in line with changes in the business environment. The invention of new technologies is being a factor hindering organizational growth. On the other hand, organizations which accurately forecast these new innovations are better placed. Business intelligence analytics are majorly being used to enhance the efficiency of firm’s functions. However, there is substantial variation in the utilization. The application of new technologies into an institutions functions increases the returns, and consequently higher profitability is achieved. This research study aims at identifying BIA factors which enhance sophistication of enterprise functions. Furthermore, it will study factors which constrain the adoption of new technologies. This research will assess the factors which affect usage of business intelligence systems. It will therefore bridge the gap between innovation and usage of the new applications.
Purpose of Research
The aim of the research is to evaluate factors affecting optimal utilization of business information systems. The research will address, first, how intensity of competition influences business intelligence systems usage, secondly, the extent of sophistication of data infrastructure in affecting the extent of BIA usage, and lastly, the research will investigate how integration of organizational functions affect extensive use of business information systems. The research outcome will help organization to identify areas of improvement for them to maximize use of business intelligence systems.
Innovation Diffusion/Adoption
Companies navigate technology innovation through adoption. They take time to experience new inventions. Learning through assimilation is an enabler that aids in formation of concrete usage background (Marjanovic Olivera et al. 2017). Therefore, several studies have discovered that extensive utilization relies on adoption. An institution will hence take time to get used to Business intelligence technology. Adoption is embraced by the agencies to legitimize and ration resources. This experience helps an entity to plan for resources to be used by the innovations.

A Study of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) In Understanding the Efficacy of...inventionjournals
Global usage of automated system in all fields has remarkably increased in the past decades. To understand the extensive usage of the Information system, the study is undertaken where the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is used to see the extent to which an Information System (IS) is able to make any HR routine activity in the institution to be automated; whereby, the information obtained is effective and reliable. The study undertook in this article focuses on the reliability test in order to test the reliability of the scale and also the correlation test in order to find the rate of correlation between the various components of the TAM model – Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Attitude towards change (ATU) and Behavioral Intention towards use (BIU). The study indicated that the null hypothesis is accepted where there is significant positive change in the Perceived Ease of Use, Attitude of the User and the Behavioral intention of the user towards using the HRIS tool in any organization. This led to understanding from the study that there is a very high rate of effectiveness in the usage of HRIS tool in any institutions using, which is proved using the TAM model.

were company employees. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling which obtained a
sample of 90 people. This study shows that system use, use satisfaction, structure, environment, information
quality and service quality have no influence on the effectiveness of the E-RKAP system. System quality has an
influence on the effectiveness of the E-RKAP system.

Business intelligence is a collection of methodologies, methods, architectures, and technologies that convert raw data into significant and useful information used by organizations to enable more effective strategic, tactical, and operational insights and decision-making. In spite of several studies have examined the critical success factors and development of business intelligence system, but few relevant studies have investigated perceptions of end-user’s business intelligence systems. Furthermore, none of those studies was performed in a higher education sector in Iraq. Consequently, the study aims to determine the business intelligence system features influencing perceived impact end users’ and of using business intelligence systems in Iraqi educational institutes. A technology acceptance model and technology organization environment framework were syntheses as a basis to develop a research model for business intelligence users' perceived impact and adopt of business intelligence systems named (SMUPIBIS). Later, an online instrument (questionnaire) was designed to gather data from the business intelligence system users in five Iraqi universities. Twentyone hypotheses were proposed and later tested. The main outcomes of this study suggest that decision support, information quality, and real-time reporting are the most significant system characteristics influencing end users' perceived impact and their usage of business intelligence systems.

Introduction

Various organizational structure challenges, and employee have exerted various resistances and challenges but the provision of the solutions have been studied and presented. This paper presents the summaries of various studies, objects, methodologies used, the study limitations and assumptions and a concise comment on the resource in relation to the source of the resource and recommendations on further studies in each study to better understanding in the entire field.

The scope of this paper is on the relationship between information technology (IT) use and the firm general performance in the consideration of the variables like infrastructure and process reengineering intervening in organizations. The purpose of the research was to establish the roles of the intervening variables on the relationship between IT and firms performance. The instruments to be used in research of the relationship between IT and the firms performance and the role of the two intervening important variable focused on which were reengineering of the processes (BPRM) and organizational infrastructure (OIS) in the IT and firm performance relationship were presented. The study based on the empirical filed survey design where 200 car part producers were administered with questionnaires. The questionnaires addressed the OIS, BPRM, Performance measurement (PER) and IT usage (ITU). The findings of this study demonstrated that there was a moderating effects of the organizational infrastructure and the mediating roles of the business process reengineering on the association between IT use and the performance of a firm. The IT usage was significantly high in pecuniary affairs of most companies. Organizational infrastructures was significantly considered in most companies and that IT usage significantly influenced the products production reengineering process. This information was very resourceful in the entire coursework and also raised the confidence of the body of resources used in finding this information. The underlying assumptions of the study was that the measures used in this study had a high internal consistency thus giving highly correlated answers hence high stability of the used measures. This study examined the alignment between IT planning and business planning in three large Indian software companies. The researcher collected data through questionnaires sent to IT and business managers, as well as reviewing companies' public documents. The findings showed similarities in how the companies plan and implement IT systems to support business processes. Specifically, executive management had overall responsibility for IT planning and implementation, with input from business operations on directions and opportunities. The companies also experienced both positive and negative effects of implementing IT systems. While efficiency improved, some implementations initially required more staff. There was evidence that IT resources supported business objectives, indicating alignment between IT and business plans. However, the study noted more formal planning processes could be developed.

aims to improve the accuracy of demand forecasting by implementing the forecasting algorithm. While it is

these are easily recognized however in today’s business environment, efficiency or speed is not the only

which has drastically changed in the areas of science and engineering. To analyze, manage and make a
decision of such type of huge amount of data we need techniques called the data mining which will
transforming in many fields. We have implemented the algorithms in JAVA technology. This paper provides
the prediction algorithm (Linear Regression, result which will helpful in the further research.

A survey of 43 HR managers was conducted to understand how BI tools integrate reports, analytics, dashboards and metrics to impact decision making. Statistical analysis found BI to be positively associated with and able to predict HR decision making. Focus groups identified how BI impacts HR strategies. The study examines how information from HR systems, gathered through BI tools, influences HR manager decisions and organizational performance. It also identifies practices and gaps in both HR management and BI processes, noting factors that must work together to facilitate effective decision making.

ABSTRACT: This study aims to determine the effect of information technology, user technical skills,
education and training on the performance of the accounting information system of the Village Credit Institution
(LPD in Indonesia).This research was conducted at LPD Tegallalang District. Determination of the sample
using nonprobability sampling method with purposive sampling technique and obtained a sample of 45 samples.
The data collection method is to use a survey method by distributing questionnaires. The analysis technique
used is multiple regression analysis techniques. The results of the analysis obtained indicate that information
technology, user technical skills, education and training have a positive and significant effect on accounting
information system performance.

Information System (MIS) in M edium to Large Scale
Industries. Around75 industries were selected for the purpose
of study. The main emphasis was laid to understand MIS usage
and reason which hinder its use. To find out the possible
reasons for inadequate MIS usage in industries, the
respondents were requested to provide a feedback on various
parameters which could be possible reason for non-use of MIS
in their respective organizations. After collecting the feedback,
the average and standard deviation is calculated for each reason
and tabulated. Based on the feedback received from the
respondents how many industries are using MIS in their
organization and if not what might be the reason for not using
MIS are found at the end of the study.

This dissertation examines factors that influence adoption and use of enterprise social networks (ESNs) within organizations. It analyzes data collected from a large IT organization in the UK that implemented an ESN but saw only limited success. Key factors identified as influencing ESN adoption include an individual's work practices, organizational culture, job compatibility with the ESN, relative advantage of the ESN over other tools, user satisfaction, perception of critical mass using the ESN, perceived enjoyment, social norms, and perceived behavioral control. Both articles highlight the fact that middle-class students seem to benefit more from summer reading programs than their lower-SES peers. While we would hope that summer reading programs would have the same positive impact on all students, this information did not totally surprise me. Differences in funding, materials, and ability to recruit enough high-quality teachers for summer programs could be more difficult in lower-socioeconomic areas. In addition, the articles did not dive into other factors in the students’ lives that may be contributing to their performance such as attendance, how well-rested they are, trauma they have experiences that impacts their ability to focus during instruction, and the impact of being taught by a teacher who the students may not know or have a relationship with. Additionally, there could be a mismatch between the instructional practices and the specific needs of the students. Even though summer reading programs are only for a short time, I would challenge teachers to put energy into getting to know the students and building trust with them. This is a key foundation that is needed for learning to take place.
In challenging teachers during summer program and the regular school year to ”break out of the mold” to create better outcomes for students classified with low SES, in addition to building relationships with students, I would encourage them to build connections with their families. This may involve thinking outside the box and leaving their comfort zone. It could entail holding a parent-teacher conference off campus, closer to their home or in their community. It could also include providing resources and instructional videos to parents so they can help support their children at home. There are many parents who want to support their children academically, but they do not know how and may be uncomfortable asking the teacher for assistance. In addition, I would urge teachers to capitalize on the strengths and interests of their students to engage them in learning activities and provide them with opportunities to shine. We do not have to, and should not, be satisfied with the idea that low SES students will automatically not be able to perform. These students are capable of learning and growth just as much as any other student. I think data from test scores that demonstrate a gap between the performance of students classified as economically disadvantaged and not economically disadvantaged has led some people to hold the belief that students classified as low SES will not perform well. I think the way that school “report card” grades are published also perpetuates this belief, as it shows the test scores, but does not provide an explanation of or include any solutions for the many larger societal factors that contribute to those scores including high teacher turn over, lack of resources, child trauma, lack of sleep, lack of nutrition, crime & safety, and education level of parents.

Objectives
This chapter introduces the analysis of the time response of different
control systems under different scenarios. Only first and second order
systems will be considered in details using analytical and numerical
methods. Extension to higher order systems will be developed. Both
transient and steady state responses will be evaluated. Stability analysis
will be analyzed for different kinds of feedback, while investigating the
effect of both proportional and derivative control actions on the
performance of the closed-loop system. Finally systems types and

Jon Smith spread his arms widely as he surveyed his garden centre.
‘Of course the whole market for leisure products and services, especially garden-related products, has been expanding over the last few years. Even so, we have been particularly successful. Partly this is because we are conveniently located, but it is also because we have developed a reputation for excellent service. Customers like coming to us for advice. We have also been successful in attracting some of the ‘personality gardeners’ from television to make special appearances. My main ambition now is to fully develop all of our twelve hectares to make the centre a place people will want to visit in its own right. I envisage the centre developing into almost a mini gardening theme park with special gardens, beautiful grounds and special events.’
Greenland is a large village situated in the Cotswolds, a popular tourist area of the UK. It has an interesting range of shops and restaurants, mainly catering for the tourist trade. About half a mile outside the village is the Greenland Garden Centre. The garden centre is served by a good network of main roads but is inaccessible by public transport.
Growth over the last five years has been dramatic and the garden centre now sells many other goods as well as gardening requisites. It also has a restaurant. It is open seven days a week, only closing on Christmas Day. Its opening hours are Monday– Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. all year round.
Outside the centre
The centre has a large car park which can accommodate about 350 cars. Outside the entrance a map indicates the various areas in the garden centre. Most customers walk round the grounds before making their purchases. The length of time people spend in the centre varies but, according to a recent study, averages 53 minutes during the week and 73 minutes at weekends.
The same study shows the extent to which the number of customers arriving at the garden centre varies depending on the time of year, day of the week, and time of day. There are two peaks in customer numbers, one during the late spring/early summer period and another in the build up to Christmas, as Greenland puts on particularly good Christmas displays.

Organizational functions should be changed in line with changes

innovations are better placed. Business intelligence analytics
are majorly being used to enhance the efficiency of firm’s
functions. However, there is substantial variation in the
utilization. The application of new technologies into an
institutions functions increases the returns, and consequently
higher profitability is achieved. This research study aims at
identifying BIA factors which enhance sophistication of
enterprise functions. Furthermore, it will study factors which

Purpose of Research
The aim of the research is to evaluate factors affecting optimal

instance, IT strategies used by supply chain departments have

1. Business Information System Adoption
Businesses have been adopting innovation on information
technology of different kinds to enhance their performance
which is aimed at increasing productivity. However, these
business information technologies have not been widely
accepted as expected (Olivera 2017). A research done on Indian
banks internet banking shows that many customers are not
willing to adopt the technology. The research recommended that
the bank managers needed to evaluate the major factors which
determines the client’s adoption of internet banking and these
factors included perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness,
conspicuousness and the perceived risk. The study shows that
business information technology is dependent on various factors
which could be due to perceptual and cultural differences.
2. Deep Structure Usage
The sophistication of data infrastructure determines how a
business information system usage. The system features, the
tasks and sub-tasks which the system supports are important
factors to consider. Bronz (2013) suggest that systems should
have capabilities, rules, and resources which are designed into
the IS that conceptualizes the requirements of the user tasks.
Hence, when examining the relationship between performance
and exploitive use, a task-centered measure of deep structure
should be created through the examination of IS deep structure
sub-set which is important to the task as well as measure the
extent to which the intended users will put the features into use.
(Sharda 2017) states that deep structure usage increases the
performance of a task through: first, by decreasing the amount
of time that is spent on irrelevant tasks, and secondly, the deep
structures through the engagement of the users’ cognition in the
task increases the quality of work in gaining insight into the
task.

2.1 Background of the study
The field of business intelligence is rapidly growing. Several
changes have been seen in the way businesses conduct their
activities. Information Technology has enhanced customer
experience. Majorly, the trends are coming from increasing
digitization. Organizations are increasingly embracing IT to
execute their functions. Business intelligence has been used to
enhance efficiency by many firms. Business intelligence
analytics are used in design and development of customer
experiences (Prahalad and Krishnan, 2008). Globalization has
impacted the way firms respond to customer needs. Many
customers are changing their preferences. Therefore, businesses
are working hard to transform their functions at the same pace
(Davenport 2006). By doing a cross-examination on the
strategies employed by firms in coping up with the competitive
environment, Information and communications technology is the
main basis of the rivalry. There are a lot of competitors, not
only in the domestic market, but also in the foreign markets.
Many engage in producing similar products. Others also have
embarked in the production of substitutes. However, the main
challenge facing the enterprises is the choice of the strategies to
pursue to be ahead of the rivals. The plans embraced by most of
these entities embark on Information and technology
innovations. Strategic planning is employing IT in its
formulation. This is for the purpose of tailor making customer
experience. This has enabled some organizations to thrive in the

inevitable. It has not only presented many challenges to the
economies and their institutions, but also given them new
opportunities. It is now up to managers to enact new ways of
doing business. The structuring of new plans should be done at
the same pace at which technologies are changing. Failure to
manage organizational operations properly will automatically
lead to collapsing of many organizations. In order for
businesses to stay on the safe side, the must take advantage of
the available information systems technologies to develop a
proper competitive edge. The new plans that are formulated by
the managers should be well supported by necessary
information. The companies should conduct thorough research
to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of their plans.
Precondition for success of new innovated strategies postulate
that the formulation should be based on a well collected and
analysed data. It is a fact that companies are being faced by
many caveats which range from domestic to global environment.
Therefore, for planners to come up with the most efficient and
effective plans, they must first analyse a wide range of
information. A large volume of data should be analysed. The
capacity of the organizations to handle this data will determine
the outcomes of their strategic planning. Real time information
should be analysed from time to time. The analysis is for the
benefit of decision makers, whole will have an advantage of
spotting new trends and taking proactive strategies to survive in
the changing environment. These scenarios are attracting the
attention of decision makers to utilize Business information
system analytics in order to maintain their progress (Davenport,
2006). The main challenge for utilization of business
information in decision making is the conflict of interests
between uses of intuition or information technology solutions.
The relationship between technology, organization and
technology has been expounded by several managers, though
quite a god number have not conceptualized the associated
ideology. An evaluation of the critical success factors for firms

in the business environment. The invention of new technologies
is being seen as a factor hindering organizational growth. On
the other hand, organizations which accurately forecast these
new innovations are better placed. Business intelligence
analytics are majorly being used to enhance the efficiency of
firm’s functions. However, there is substantial variation in the
utilization. The application of new technologies into an
institutions functions increases the returns, and consequently
higher profitability is achieved. This research study aims at
identifying BIA factors which enhance sophistication of
enterprise functions. Furthermore, it will study factors which
constrain the adoption of new technologies. This research will
assess the factors which affect usage of business intelligence
systems. It will therefore bridge the gap between innovation and
usage of the new applications.

investors. Interviews will be conducted. They will involve the
managers of the company.
