This rubric evaluates skills in three areas: processing and drawing conclusions from data (SCI1.1aaa), planning investigations (SCI1.1bbb), and using scientific vocabulary (SCI2.1aaa). For each skill, students can demonstrate a developing, meeting, or exceeding level of proficiency. Higher proficiency is associated with more accurately extracting and processing results, drawing valid conclusions, planning detailed and controlled experiments, addressing safety, and using fully correct scientific terminology. Scores are multiplied by the percentages listed for each skill area.
