Abstract- Hot corrosion is a serious problem in boilers,
gas turbines, internal combustion engines, and
industrial waste incinerators. It consumes the
materials at an unpredictably rapid rate. The use of
protective coatings has been an answer to remedy the
lack of high temperature surface stability of metals
and alloys in harsh environments. Coating can be
deposited by electric arc spray, physical vapour
deposition, detonation spraying, flame spray, vacuum
plasma spray, low pressure plasma spray, high velocity
oxy fuel by sputtering or by evaporation. High-velocity
oxy-fuel (HVOF) spraying is a new and rapidly
developing technology in combating high-temperature
corrosion. HVOF coatings have very low porosity, high
hardness, high abrasive resistance, good wear
resistance with a strong ability to resist high temperature
corrosion resistance. This study is done
with the aim of putting together the performance
capabilities and applications of HVOF process.

The puropse of this experiment is to determine the the corrosiveness test of fuels. This determination will be accomplished by using copper strip corrosion test. By using the copper strip experiment we can find the corrosive propertyof the fuel and hence the efficiency of fluid samples collected. This project covers the importance of knowing the corrosive property of different fluid samples collected.

As everyone know, remelted ingots are, from a purely metallurgical point of view, preferable to the traditional bottom poured ingots because of a series of reason:

For a better understanding, we compared characteristics of a remelted ingot around 40tons, with a poly ingot with a similar traversal section of 1500mm and a gross weight near 32tons.

ABSTRACT. In wet tropical climate regions, ambient water vapor tends to be rapidly picked up by welding electrode flux. Arc contaminated by hydrogen derived from the damp flux will increase risk of defects in welded joint, especially hydrogen cracking. In this work, weldability of AISI 1035 steel is studied based on modified Welding Institute of Canada (WIC) Test and variation of moisture picked-up by AWS A5.1 E6013 electrode in a conditioned atmosphere. On the third day after welding, surface crack was examined using dye penetrant technique. In consequence of no preheat implemented, solidification cracking occurred along 37% of the weld length although the flux was dried with 0% absorbed moisture relative to the flux weight, whereas more severe crack was found 48% on the sample welded using damp electrode with 7% absorbed moisture due to solidification and diffusible hydrogen. Preheat at 150°C reduced the risk of cracking which did not present on the sample welded by electrode containing 0% and 1.42% absorbed moisture, but 3% crack still appeared on the sample welded using electrode having 1.83% absorbed moisture because of hydrogen contribution. As the one of analysis result, preheating at 150°C and 1.42% maximum absorbed moisture in the flux is recommended for the E6013 electrode.

The world is presently confronted with two major issues; fossil fuel depletion and environmental degradation. Indiscriminate extraction and high consumption of fossil fuels have led to reduction in crude oil resources. The search for an alternative fuel, which promises a harmonious correlation with sustainable development, energy conservation, management, efficiency, and environmental preservation, has become highly pronounced in the present context.
One approach to reduce these problems is by blending hydrogen gas with hydrocarbon fuels used in internal combustion engines.Recently, using hydrogen or hydrogen-gasoline blends as a supplement fuel for spark ignition and compression ignition engines is one of the potential solutions for improving brake thermal efficiency, reducing fuel consumption and pollution emissions from internal combustion engines.
In this paper, advantages and disadvantages of Hydrogen-Gasoline fuels in the context of combustion engines are discussed, and combustion performances and emission characteristics are experimentally investigated at various hydrogen volume fraction and graphs are plotted.

Oxygen index is defined as minimum concentration of oxygen, expressed as volume percent, in a mixture of
oxygen and nitrogen that will just support flaming combustion of plastic materials under equilibrium condition
of candle like burning. The equilibrium is established by the relation between the heat lost to the surroundings as
measured by either time of burning or length of specimen burned. This point is approached from both sides of the
critical oxygen concentration in order to establish the oxygen index.
Specific gravity of any elastometer is of considerable importance for its identification. Be sides it can
also be used for providing a rough assessment of its physical properties. It can also be used for finding
if the sample and the products are prepared from the same compound or not. A specific gravity balance
may be used to find the specific gravity of rubber and other elastomers directly without involving any
calculations. The time taken to find the specific gravity with the help of this balance is about a half a
minute only.

The ultra low temperature freezers are equiped with special air cooled
compressor CFC free refrigerators to give the efficient cooling and
flow in the cabinet. High capacity air cooled condensers with fan con-
dense filter keep fine of dust to maintain utmost cooling efficiency.
This apparatus is useful in determination of melting point of any substance in small quantities upto 300 Deg C. It
consists of an aluminum block which accepts three capillary tubes & mercury thermometer. The block is heated
by two elements clamped to the sides. The built in lamps provides uniform & shadow less illumination of sample
tube which is viewed by magnifying glass.

The Fully Automatic Melt Flow Index Tester measures the rate of extrusion of a Thermoplastic material
through orifice of Specific Length and Diameter under prescribed conditions of temperature and pressure.
STANDARDS: ASTM D 1238 METHOD A & B, ISO 1133, IS 2508/2530,BS and other equivalent stan-
dards. Melt Flow Indexer is used to measure the flow rate of different polymers. The reported Melt Index
values helps to distinguish between the different Grades of Polymers.

mance of textiles by determining the flame spreading speed in the horizontal direction flammability
