Michael Hewitt started school in 1964 in Iowa and graduated from high school in 1977 in Wyoming. He went to college in 1977 at Central Wyoming College and hopes to eventually earn a doctorate degree to become a teacher of technology for other teachers. He defines educational technology as teacher facilitated, student oriented methodology utilizing practice with technological resources in an interactive environment to improve teaching and learning. When he was in elementary school in the 1960s, the major technology was occasional reel-to-reel movies, as there were no computers and students used pencil, crayon, glue, and paper.
