Kindergarten technology My school had Macintosh computers, but owning a PC was rare. Computer screens were green and black Learned LOGO !
High school technology PCs were becoming widely used with color screens Advent of Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Internet takes off, Web 1.0 and the beginning of file sharing
College technology Laptops are widely used Web 2.0 in full swing Computers become pocket sized: cell phones, I pods, and PDAs. Internet can be accessed everywhere
A vivid technology learning experience First learned about and applied simple HTML through MySpace. Access to user created videos on YouTube opened up the world to be viewed.
A technology I want to use in my classroom I want everyone in my class to have an i pod so they can pod cast lectures and assignments where ever and when ever the students want.
My vision of the classroom of the future Mini Smart Boards for each student with up loaded text books and assignments. Each Board can seamlessly share information with students and teachers.
A challenge for teaching Sharing technologies can lead to cheating. Defining cheating and setting up more critical thinking tasks that encourage originality is critical.
