at war, soldiers have had to spend the last four years of their lives in between
narrow walls called trenches. Not only do these soldiers face the extremities of
battles, but they also have to survive in these narrow spaces. For these courageous

In the beginning of the book A Night Divided, Gerta was physically described as a
twelve year old girl with blond hair. She was also described as having round eyes,
with a warm brown tone. Her body was athletic and fit although, by the end of the
book she had become really skinny almost as if she had been starving.
Gerta was always described as outspoken, passionate, and a risk taker. For example,
in the book when Gerta and her brother were almost done with the tunnel, the tunnel
began to collapse, her brother insisted to let it collapse however Gerta never gave

family I felt that they were at risk for impaired parenting related to prolong separation
from the parent as evidence by long amounts of time with no physical contact with
the baby. It was clear that both mom and dad were emotionally stressed by not being
able to provide basic needs for their newborn, and physical contact was restricted to
small amounts of touching through the isolette. It was also clear that mom and dad

The result of the expressive self portrait is based off a picture of myself taken
outside. In a small group, we were asked to take as many pictures as we needed to
use for this assignment. The lighting in the variety of pictures may differ depending
on where and at what angle we are standing at, so different pictures in various places
were necessary. With these pictures, the best out of all when changed into high
contrast was the one used to paint. With the use of a program that helps with
photoshopping images, I changed my original picture into black and white, which
I changed into high contrast. Adjustments were essential as some features may be
lost during this process. This image was then used to emphasize specific areas of
one s face or other parts of the body above the shoulder to express a personality trait
of an individual. In addition, this assignment is called Expressive Self Portrait,

Response I agree with the author in regards to using stem cell research to decrease
human suffering. The idea that human suffering will be decreased is directly related
to utilitarianism. If utilitarianism is applied to stem cell research, there would be no
reason not to use embryos if it means that there is less suffering for the greatest
number of people. Stem cell research would then, and only then, be considered
ethical. The problem is determining if most people would need stem cells for medical
issues. If only fifty percent of people find stem cells useful, utilitarianism would not
apply, therefore, the ethical issues still stand. Opposed to utilitarianism, a subjectivist

Here are the following instructions in order to successfully locate underground natural
gas piping. Step 1:
Before you can begin locating, you must check your split box locator. It is
important to make sure your split box locator is working correctly. Checking your
battery is the first thing you would check, weak batteries is the most common
problem for split box locator not operating correctly. Now after you have checked
your equipment and everything is ready to go, you are ready to hook up the locator.
Step 2:
Open the split box locator. One half of the box consists of the transmitter and the
other half is the receiver. Once you have opened the box, inside the box you will
find a ground rod and black and red connecting cables. Take those two items out as
