The film was edited in black and white to fit the noir aesthetic. Power dynamics were shown through speech and the positioning of characters in shots. Overall we aimed to capture the conventions of classic gangster-noir films to appeal to audiences interested in that genre.

Risk Assessment
- 1. Risk Assessment Before any filming can take place, I must first identify any possible risks that many occur during filming and ways in which I may be able to resolve these issues. I must also ensure that health and safety regulations are carried out before filming can take place to avoid any disturbances or problems. 1. Equipment (Camera, Tripod, Computers, Editing software) As the creation of my music video depends on the equipment working correctly in order to film, I must ensure that all equipment is working correctly and efficiently. To do this, I could check the camera before leaving college to make sure it is working correctly and if not, I can ask for assistance from the technician. Failure in checking the equipment could cause major issues when filming such as having to delay which would affect the time available to film. As the sole member of my group, I will ensure to take good care of any equipment in order to avoid any damage to the equipment or cause any breakages. 2. Weather Nature can become a significant burden when filming. My filming will take place in October/November therefore, the winter season will be a possible disturbance for my filming due to rain, ice, snow, wind, temperature and darker nights. A lot of my scenes are to be shot in outside locations so weather is a vital risk that I must take into consideration. For this, I will check weather updates for the days I am due to film. Obviously, I have no control over the weather so if disturbances do occur because of the weather, I will have to reschedule my shooting for another day,
- 2. 3. Reliability of actors/actresses There is always the possibility of one of my actors/actresses not been able to attend shooting on a particular day or even at all. To ensure this risk is minimalized, I will personally ask potential actors/actresses that I believe I can reply on beforehand (in the planning process) if they would be willing to participate in my music video and discuss days for shooting. Only then will I most definitely cast them in my video. If such an issue does arise, I will have to postpose filming for another day which could affect my deadlines. 4. Illness As the only member of my group, I believe that illness will not be an issue where I am concerned. I am not an actress in my video so if I do fall ill, that wouldn’t be an issue but I am the director and only member of my group so if illness did occur, this could potentially affect my deadlines a lot. In the case of one of my actors or actresses falling ill, I could find back up actors/actresses just in case this did happen and would be able to bring them into film instead of the ill actor/actress. 5. Lack of costumes As my video is a low budget video, I will not be buying any new clothing nor will I expect my actors/actresses to buy any clothing for themselves as they are not been paid to participate in my video therefore, I solely rely on clothes that the actors/actresses already own themselves or that I own. If such a problem does occur, we will just have to make do with what we have got. 6. Health and Safety in locations Using locations such as forests and possibly the seafront, I must take into account any possible risks that could occur in such locations. The forest, especially in the winter season, will have a lot of dead branches and roots on the ground so I must make sure to move as many branches away from the spot in which I am filming to avoid trips and falls. If I do use the seafront, precautions must be made due to the tide and ensure everyone
- 3. avoids going too close to the sea. Other locations I am using are rural so I doubt I’ll need permission to use them, unless they are on private land in which case, I will seek permission. I am also using my father’s rehearsal studios so I must ensure all cables and props are cleared away from the filming spot to avoid any injuries. 7. Lack of props Throughout my video, I have quite a few props that will be essential due to the nature of the video. Instruments such as drums, a guitar, a bass guitar and microphone are all needed so I shall plan ahead in advance to ensure these props are acquired. Other minor props such as photographs and a dog shouldn’t cause problems in obtaining them.
