This document discusses using technology and internet resources to teach right triangle trigonometry. It provides examples of educational programs, websites, videos, and blogs that allow students to interact with and better understand trigonometric concepts. Teachers can also access online worksheets, lessons, and assessments to integrate these resources into their classrooms.

2. Technology Integration
• Often times when thinking about
technology integration within a classroom
one does not think about the benefits it
may hold for right triangle trigonometry.
• However, instead of having students draw
many different triangles to practice the
Pythagorean theorem it is much more
beneficial to use a program such as Cabri
Geometry where student’s can
manipulate the triangle using different
angles and measurement.
• Not only that, but with technology
graphing common trigonometric
equations can become much easier.

3. Internet Content
• The internet offers a wide array of programs and
resources that can help students gain hands on
experience with the real world uses of right triangle
trigonometry. In addition to using education
programs there are countless numbers of blogs,
podcasts, and videos dedicated to this subject

these resources.

6. Kahn Academy Videos
• This video is a great introduction for my student’s to
get a better handle on the subject of right triangle
trigonometry and the Pythagorean theorem. Click

organizations that show the relationship of right
triangle trigonometry and the real world.
• The next two slides are examples of a few reliable
organizations that present this right angle
trigonometry as it relates to their organization.

• The Khan Academy is a non profit organization that
offers information and tutorials on a variety of
subjects including trigonometry and geometry.

• The YAY MATH video project is a free service
dedicated to meeting the growing need for math
success. YAY MATH is a video lesson series filmed in
a live classroom, with real student interaction.
• Yay Math has videos with attached worksheets for
virtually all middle and high school math subjects.

• This is a link to a trigonometry related scramble
word puzzle that my students could do in their free
time at the end of class.

different subjects and topics available to both
teachers and students.
• Students and teachers are able to post future,
present, and past projects so the list is always
growing!

16. Web 2.0
• Quizinator
• Using Quizinator, teachers can create, store, and
print worksheets, study sheets, exams and quizzes
online. This application is designed specifically for
teachers, instructors, and homeschoolers.
• In my classroom this application can be used as an
archive for my students to check previous exams or
print out a new one to study off of.
• It can also be used to house bonus materials and
worksheets not distributed in class for extra studying
or practice.

• Rubistar
• Rubrics are useful in every subject and are an
effective way to measure your students learning
objectively.
• Using this website I am able to gain access to many
different pre-made rubrics for projects and
worksheets that relate to right triangle trigonometry.
• It also provides an easy way to customize and
organize my own specific rubric.
