Revise My Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic "Revise My Essay" can prove to be a challenging endeavor,
primarily because it involves a degree of self-reflection and critique. In essence, you are tasked
with objectively evaluating your own work, identifying areas that require improvement, and
implementing changes to enhance the overall quality of your essay. This process demands a
delicate balance between acknowledging the strengths of your writing and pinpointing its
weaknesses.
One of the key challenges lies in overcoming personal biases. It is natural to become attached to
one's own writing, making it difficult to view it through an objective lens. Recognizing the need
for improvement and being open to constructive criticism is an essential step in this revision
process. It requires a level of humility and self-awareness to acknowledge that even well-crafted
pieces can benefit from refinement.
Moreover, revising your own essay necessitates a keen eye for detail. Identifying grammatical
errors, inconsistencies, or structural issues demands a meticulous examination of each sentence
and paragraph. This can be mentally taxing, as the familiarity with one's own writing may lead to
oversight. It becomes crucial to adopt a fresh perspective, as if encountering the essay for the
first time.
Time management adds another layer of complexity. Balancing the revision process with other
commitments can be demanding. Rushed revisions might overlook critical elements, while
procrastination can lead to undue stress as deadlines approach. Striking the right balance requires
discipline and effective time management skills.
Despite these challenges, the process of revising your own essay is a valuable exercise. It not
only hones your writing skills but also fosters a sense of self-improvement. The ability to
critically assess and refine your work is a skill that extends beyond the realm of essay writing,
proving beneficial in various aspects of life.
In conclusion, tackling an essay on the topic "Revise My Essay" involves navigating the intricate
dynamics of self-critique, overcoming personal biases, paying meticulous attention to detail, and
managing time effectively. While challenging, the process is a worthwhile endeavor that
contributes to personal and academic growth.

Parables In The Gospel Of Luke
Parable
What is a parable?
The parables in the Gospels are Jesus lessons that are intended to bring
understanding and a positive response from His audience to become His disciples.
Jesus audience were crowds of people that sat on the countryside listening to His
storytelling. The parables screen the understanding of Jesus audience. The parables
was a way of determine who really came to understand his teachings or just came
for a miracle. The parables provided teachings on different topics. Several of
Mathew s parables deal with God s judgment of humanity. A number of Luke s are
about issues such as prayer and money. Still others tell what the kingdom of God is

Kony 2012
When I was a senior in high school, I participated in the Kony 2012 and Invisible
Children social movement that focused on highlighting and identifying the
controversies happening in Africa as a result of the Lord s Resistance Army
(LRA) and their leader Joseph Kony. While I had no prior knowledge to what the
charity, Invisible Children, stood for, it was not until the popular video Kony 2012
released on YouTube that I wanted to be actively involved in the campaign. The
Kony 2012 movement had identifiable leaders who were the creators of the viral
video, which included Jason Russell. At the same time, the movement included the
Invisible Children organization, which Russell is a founder of, which the video
came as a result of. The movement was not established by a government office and
was targeted to reaching anyone who came across the viral... Show more content on

During the heightened popularity of the initial Kony 2012 video that was what
many people were talking about and it even cause several politicians to rethink
strategies in Africa and motivated them enough to pass a resolution to send troops
near the lines of the LRA. It was successful in its initial goal for awareness, but it
was highly criticized for creating inaccurate depictions of what was going on in
Africa as well. The movement gained support from the US government and as a
result became a part of the social norm during that year in activism, but would be
forgotten by a majority of the public in the next year. Besides this brief resolution,
the movement did not encourage many to join the cause of Invisible Children and
resulted in many forgetting their support and the movement entirely. Russell s
controversy tainted the image of the Kony movement, which may have impacted the

Effects Of Second Hand Vehicles In The Zimbabwean
Economy
INTRODUCTION
The Zimbabwean economy is nose diving and experiencing huge cash shortages of
the currency in circulation ,this is being seen as the banks are now rationing the
payments, giving each individual about $100 per day and sometimes less or no
cash , also money is now not easily accessible from mobile bankers like eco cash,
telecash and one wallet, this is being caused by the imports which are outweighing
the exports and among these imports there is the importation of second hand cars
which is seen to have dominated the imports of Zimbabwe. In 2013 between January
and November the Zimbabweans imported about 206 519 cars worth over $606
million (ZIMSTATS,The Herald 23 April 2014).Thus the importation of second hand
vehicles is worsening the trade deficit that is already unfavorable as in 2013 the
budget deficit stood at $3billion(ZIMSTAT).
Willowvale Mazda Motor Industry s production slumped from 18 000 vehicles per
year in 1997 to below 4 000 vehicles and stopped producing in 2012 (Zimbabwe
Independent 22 May 2015),this was mainly due to the importation of second hand
vehicles by the Zimbabweans as they were less costly and complied with their
budgets, the other players such as Quest motors and Croco motors in the automobile
sector are being affected in the same manner leading to unemployment due to low
capacity utilization in these companies as the demand new vehicles was estimated to
be 25 000(Zimbabwe Independent 22 May 2015).

Charles Darwin s The Hms Beagle And His Exploration...
Today was the day. Today was the day I would finally get all my answers on the
theory of evolution, from the master himself, or should I say father . As I opened
the door, a mysterious old figure stood with a tortoise by his side: it was Charles
Darwin. Quickly and eagerly he went into the dining room and eagerly cried,
Guys! I am very glad to see you all! I need to tell you all everything, everything that
I had found out about! Before my family had fully sat on their seats, he shared
fascinating stories about his adventures and voyages. He began explaining his tails
on the famous HMS Beagle and his exploration of the Galapagos Islands. On his
voyage on the Beagle he was instructed to chart stretches of coastlines of South
America, but as he explained that he wasn t any Picasso, his sketches ended up
poorly drawn. As we all know, Darwin has never been the type to enforce rules, and
plus charting coastlines is just the most boring job a person can do. As well as
charting, he shared his strange fascination on his observations of how the
characteristics of plants and animals suits only specific environments in South
America. He explained how plants and animals in similar geographic and climate
zones have a similar resemblance. With great enthusiasm, Charles addressed my half
brother and wife saying, Tom Bradey, 3 time MVP and 4 time super bowl winner, oh
and the beautiful Vanessa Hudgens Ramolia! You must see how my observations and
these fossils have similar

Ontology: Ontology is abbreviated as FESC which means Formal, Explicit,
specification of shared conceptualization. [11].
Formal specifies that it should be machine understandable. Explicit defines the type of
constraints used in model. Shared defines that ontology is not for individual, it is for
group. Conceptualization means model of some phenomenon that identifies relevant
concept of that phenomenon.
Inference: It is defined as producing new data from existing one or to reach some
conclusion. E.g.: Adios is a French word which is replaced by Good bye that is

Sparkly Tutu Essay
A Girl in a Sparkly Tutu When I grow up I am going to be a ballerina, truck driver,
who rides a motorcycle, shouted the small girl in a bright pink tutu under the
scorching lights at her Kindergarten graduation. I was this small girl and I have
always been the child who wanted to break away from the pack and be different
from everyone else. I may no longer wantto be a ballerina, for I realized my hatred for
itchy tights, or a truck driver, I am unable to sit for that long, but I still seem to
dream big and stand out. To this day I still keep that little girlwho dreamed big and
loves a sparkly tutu inside me. It seems I have found that the way to stand out from
others is to be the leader that they can follow. I have always been a people person
and seem to feed off of other s ideas and needs. It is the people that I meet in my
job, clubs, and activities, that make me long for more in my life and to help them
find more in their own. People tell me that you can always tell when I am happy

Stock Market Stock Analysis
At the end of the stock market game the stocks that I own was Amazon, Wal Mart,
AutoZone, Ford, Kohls, Toyota, Coca Cola, and O Reilly. These stocks have done
good since I have bought them. These stocks had their ups and down throughout the
whole game, but although they didn t have it that bad . They may have gained
money, but, they also, losted money at the same time. Also, there were days where
the stockprice went up and down since there were people out there that was willing
to pay for the stock at a higher price, but there were others that didn t think it was
worth it at a higher price.
Some of the other stocks that I owned at different times in the stock market game was
AT T, Verizon, Disney, Mcdonald s, Nikes, and Home Depot. I made the decision to
get rid of these stocks because they were having me to lose more money then I was
gaining from them. At the end of having these stocks I losted more money then what
I bought them for.
Some of the stocks that I should have bought more of was Amazon, and Wal Mart.

How Does Brecht Make A Form Of Theatre
In this essay I will be discussing the theatrical style of Brecht and how he created his
own form of theatre and I will be using his play Mother Courage and Her Children to
back up the innovation and techniques that Brecht used during his career.
Mother Courage and Her Children is set in the 30 year s war and follows Mother
Courage making a living by selling supplies from her wagon to armies that they
encounter. Trying to make a living for herself and her family. The focus is on the
conflict that occurs between war profiteering and maintaining a family. Her children
end up dying due to the struggle of trying to live like a family and trying to survive
the war. Brecht wanted to show audiences that if families are going to survive they
need to understand that capitalism needs to go. (Theatre Histories:2010)
Although Brecht was a Marxist he did take interest into a form of theatre that differed
from socialist realism, that was brought upon by Stalin s culture. When Brecht had
written Mother Courage and Her Children he took it with him to Finland after he was
forced to leave Germany after Hitler came into power due to him not being sure how
the Soviet and German communists would treat him. Brecht and his wife, Helene
Weigel, decided ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He wanted to get rid of the 4th wall completely and include the actors and audience
together, however, he didn t want the audience to think of this as an excuse to be at
ease and relaxed. They had to be aware of any or all political implications and
consequences that were made by the actors. When Brecht began to make his own
style of theatre, going to the theatre wasn t an experience that was whole hearted and
uplifting, the audience was made to suffer and left the theatre in the mind set of
wanting to make a

The old man begins the session like previous others by depicting a scene, which
will be explained at the end of the lesson. This scene he describes is about Barak
receiving instructions from Deborah. The young girl is confused because she
believed that all the judges were men, but the old man informs her that some
stories are told more than others. From this point, the old man tells the stories
related to Joshua and Caleb, the only two adults brought out of Egypt to enter into
the promised land. Joshua replaced Moses as the leader of the Israelites, and the
old man begins to tell the story of Jericho. Two spies were sent to spy on Jericho,
and they stayed at a prostitute s home. Her name was Rahab, and she explains to the

Joshua and Judges are associated with the Iron Age. Tensions during this period
include invasions from Sea Peoples. Tullock informs readers that Canaan consisted
of city states. The next topic Tullock discusses is the invasion of Canaan. Tullock
discusses Joshua and the story of Jericho, and the old man s story discusses the same
points Tullock does. Tullock does introduce the significance of the holy war
associated with Jericho. The disguising Gibeonites are discussed on how they were
saved by a covenant by disguising and lying to the Israelites. Tullock ends the section
of Joshua s conquests by telling the story of the five kings of the south. The division
of conquered lands is explained by mentioning that territories were represented by the
tribes responsible for the conquering. Tullock then discusses how the Canaanite
religion greatly influenced the developing Israelite religion, and a reason for the
influence is due to the greater population associated with the Canaanites. From this
point on, Tullock discusses the famous judges and the themes seen throughout the
book of Judges. Tullock states that the major judges include Othniel, Ehud, Deborah,
Gideon, Abimelech, Jephthah, and Samson. Each major judge receives their own
section of text discussing the stories associated with each of them. For example,

Urbanization And Urbanization
Urbanization has been a universal huge ordeal that has been going on everywhere for
some time now, and puts a huge strain on infrastructure, economics, and the order of
a society making it hard to maintain sustainability. Urban Sprawl is the uncontrolled
expansion of urban areas, and has recently become an important issue here in
Kennesaw Georgia. Urban Sprawl also known as Urbanization has caused problems
here such as air pollution, due to the amount of trafficdaily, construction due to the
rapid growth, economic slowdowns, car accidents, etc. It is rare to travel to a
location 10 miles away in less than 30 minutes due to the abundance of traffic on
the interstates and on the roads. The lines of automobiles at red lights are
outrageous, and it s common to see stand still traffic at green lights because of road
blockages from cars not moving efficiently due to the timing of traffic lights. All
these events: Lights not working efficiently, traffic backed up, and construction, has
led to an increase in car accidents due to confusion, which has contributed to traffic
as you guessed, but the problem is in many situations the ones injured have to wait
for extended periods of times due to traffic, killing the efficiency of local
emergency services. The infrastructure here is definitely not considered efficient for
the population. The population in Kennesaw has increased nearly 35% since the
year 2000 which is a huge spike according to (kennesaw ga.gov.) This spike is due to
Fine Motor Skills And The Importance Of Occupational...
Fine motor skills refer to the small muscles in the hands. Proper development of
these muscles is crucial for children to succeed academically in writing and self help
skills. According to the National Childcare Accreditation Council (NCAC), Fine
motor skills form an important foundation for the acquisition of many other skills,
including literacy, numeracy, self help and the ability to perform many everyday
tasks (2008). Children start to develop motor skillsfrom birth, and the ways in which
children s muscles develop will later affect their motor function. Caretakers often look
for the typical milestones that infants develop; however, infants acquire development
at different rates benefiting child growth. From birth through the early grades
(preschool to second grade) children are constantly using their fine motor skills to
eat, dress themselves, and in social settings such as school. These skills link to
infancy development and are factors in knowing how well children will succeed. The
following sub topics address fine motor development and the importance of
occupational therapy interventions:
1.Importance of fine motor skills
2.Development of motor skills in infancy
3.Motor skills in early grades
4.Occupational therapy
5.Impacts of therapy
6.Handwriting
7.Promoting healthy motor skill development

American Colony Lifestyles Essay examples
So close yet so far The lifestyle in the three American colonies sections, varied
dramatically, the most obvious was the difference between the New England and the
Southern colonies. The New England colonies varied in many ways from the
southern colonies, the most obvious were the motives for the founders, the political
and social beliefs, and economic differences. The New Englandcolonies were much
more interested in starting a new way of life for the generations to come, the
Southern colonies based lived for the day and the quick dollar. The Founders of the
New England colonies had different views for the new world then the views of the
Southern Founders. Although both founders were of English decent they came for

The differences in the governmental structure affected the social classes in the
colonies. People were looked at in very different ways in New England compared
to the Southern Colonies. The social structure in the New England Colonies based
itself around family. Families would have around 8 10 children and at the same
time, people began to live after 65, compared to the average of 40 50 before.
Because of the high birthrate and the extended life expectancy, it is known as the
New England colonists that invented the modern day grandparents. In the South
there was a high rate of disease and the life expectancy was around 50 years old.
There were very few women in the south, making the women very important,
giving them more power then in the north. The southern children were rarely given
education, if any it was by tutors. In the North almost all children got education.
These factors of family lead to a change in the economic structures. The economic
aspirations of the South were greatly different then those of the New England
colonies. The New England soil was rocky and not very suitable for growing many
cash crops. New England spent a lot of its resources on raising cattle and grain,
where the South could focus on tobacco and rice. The New England colonies did a
lot of manufacturing, such as ship building, these types of jobs did not require slaves,
which reduced
American Colonies Role In The Revolutionary War
The American colonies victory in the Revolutionary War rewarded them with
independence from England and allowed them to begin a new nation of states.
Political, diplomatic, and military factors were a huge role in their prized
independence. At The Second Continental Congress in 1775, noble colonists from all
thirteen coloniesagreed to appoint George Washington, a respectable, trusted leader, as
general of the American military and drafted the Declaration of independence, which
was approved in 1776. Additionally, Thomas Paine wrote Common Sense in 1776
encouraging American colonists to break away from Britain. In the popular pamphlet,
he introduced a new political ideology, republicanism, that gave people the authority

Essay On The Conch Shell In Lord Of The Flies
Throughout the novel, Lord Of The Flies, by William Golding, there are multiple
objects through the novel that have a large impact on the group of boys. Some
objects or materials are brought into the book that might help them in a specific way,
or even influence the killing of some boys, but none of them had been an influence
for as long as the conchshell was. Objects came and went throughout the novel, but
the conch really stuck to the boys on the island, influencing them from beginning to
end in physical and mental ways. Overall, the conch shell is hands down one of the
most important of not, then the most important object that is brought into the novel,
and brought up throughout the novel. In the beginning of the novel, the conch is
considered a significant part of it, because of the ways that it helps the boys. The
two boys that found the conch in the beginning of the novel were Ralph and Piggy,
who had just gotten off of the crashed plane on the deserted island. Ralph and Piggy
then spotted it after talking for a little while sitting in the mud in a lagoon. When
they finally got it out of the lagoon, they exchanged comments about it, with both of
them passing it back and forth to each other. Piggy was holding when he made the
comment, a conch; ever so expensive. I bet if you wanted to buy one, you d have to
pay pounds and pounds and pounds.... (Golding 16). He made this comment, because
he and Ralph both valued it as a very important item to them, that they would end
Abscess Research Paper
Abscess
Overview
An abscess is a assortment of pus that has built up within the tissue of the body.
Abscesses are often easy to feel by touching. The middle of an abscess is full of pus
and debris. Painful and warm to touch, abscesses can show up any place on your body.
The most common sites are in your armpits (axillae), areas around your anus and
vagina (Bartholin gland abscess), the base of your spine (pilonidal abscess), around a
tooth (dental abscess), and in your groin. Inflammation around a hair follicle can also
lead to the formation of an abscess, which is called a boil (furuncle).
Causes
Abscesses are generally caused by bacterial infection, block of oil (sebaceous) organs
or sweat glands, aggravation or minor breaks of hair follicles ... Show more content

Severe burns.
12. Severe trauma.
13. Alcoholism or IV drug abuse.
Symptoms
Common signs and symptoms of abscess are:
1.Redness
2.Pain in affected area
3.Warm to touch
4.Swelling may feels like fluid is filled when pressed the swelled place If this disease
spreads into more profound tissues, you may build up a fever and start to feel sick.
Diagnosis
1. If the sore is little (under 1 cm or not as much as a half crawl over), applying
warm packs to the affected area for around 30 minutes 4 times day by day can offer
assistance. 2. Try not to attempt to reduce the swelling by preceding it. This can push
the infected material into the more deep tissues.
3. Try not to stick a needle or other sharp instrument into the cancer in light of the fact
that you may harm a fundamental vein or allow the infectivity to spread.
Treatment
Abscesses once in a while go away naturally. Left untreated they transform into
difficult butt centric fistulas that may require surgical treatment. The most well
known and basic technique for treatment is for your doctor to empty the discharge
out of the tainted range. This should more often than not be possible in the doctor s
office and ordinarily requires just neighborhood anesthesia.. In a few events, a
catheter may be utilized to verify the swelled depletes totally and

The Constitution Of The Texas Constitution
Bigger is not always better, in the case of the Texas Constitution having the second
longest state Constitution and the fourth most amended Constitution in the United
States, makes it a difficult and complicated document. The Texas Constitution has
been rewritten a total of six times since becoming independent from Mexico. The
most recent being the Constitutionof 1876, which is excessively detailed and exact
due to the framers fear of a strong state government. The framers of the constitution
placed strategically in the body of the Constitution rules restricting the government s
power. Making it inconvenient and difficult to reform the current Texas Constitution.
There are four key functions of a Constitution. One function is stating the source of
power and authority for legitimate state political institutions. Also in a state
Constitution is the delegation of power, which explains how powers are granted and
used by institutions and individuals. Another function is to prevent the concentration
of political power, by supplying political mechanism such as checks and balances.
Lastly, a Constitution explains the limits of political power.
The general basic of a state constitution is somewhat reflected in the current Texas
Constitution. The framers of the Constitution of 1876 called for a strong popular
control of the state government, public officials would be elected by the people.
When it comes to the limits of political power the Texas Constitution passionately

Pros And Cons Of Mass Media Essay
What the mass media offer is not popular art, but entertainment which is intended
to be consumed like food, forgotten, and replaced by a new dish W.H Auden. The
quote is trying to convey the message that the mass media is just to humor people
on a daily basis and then we ll forget about it at the end of the day, just like how we
consume food on a daily basis and then replace it with a new dish. It is crucial to
understand that the mass mediais something that everyone around the world are
exposed to every single day of our lives. It is something that is being depended on by
many, and have also played a big role in our lives. The mass mediakeeps people all
over the world updated about news, events and advertisements easily. Mass media can
be defined as the mean to reach out to the public through Television programs, radio,
magazines, newspapers,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, there are also advantages to using the mass media. The exposure to
different forms of mass media cause people to be more aware of whatever that is
happening around the whole world. For example, the newspaper, the internet, the
radio and the television are a few forms of mass media that leads to a very fast
spread of information. The information about the latest news, be it entertainment,
major events across the world or even sports can read people within minutes. This
is all thanks to the mass media. People can be aware of any social and political
events that are happening, not only in their own country, but the entire world.
People can then plan for the future, if they know the changes of the economy, any
assumptions about the fall or rise of prices of goods or news about the decline or
growth in jobs. Weather forecast reports about harsh weather conditions can be
reported through the mass media. The media is also the fastest way to spread
awareness to people to take safety measures, in the case of any natural or man made
disasters (Manali Oak, March 13
The Theory Of Continuous Bonds From The Model Of Loss
Grief
Continuous Bonds
This paper discusses the theory of continuous bonds from the model of loss grief. It
begins by offering a definition of attachment theory which will further explain
continuous bonds. It offers a critical examination of the strengths and weaknesses of
the continuous bonds theory. Personal experiences will also be present throughout
this essay in order to give the reader background information on how continuous
bonds was explored by the author. Continuous bonds will be examined in order to
understand how this can be incorporated into future social care practice. In order for a
continuous bond to arise there must be an existing attachment prior to the individual
s death. John Bowlby (1969, cited in Field, et al., 2005) created the attachment theory
which was able to demonstrate that a child develops an attachment with their
primary caregiver i.e. mother. Bowlby (1969) founded that children experienced
distress when they were separated from their primary caregiver which showed that
physical proximity was a prominent factor in the child s sense of security. According
to Field, et al., (2005) attachment bonds between adults are seen to be different from
child parent bonds, in that physical proximity was less of importance. However the
ability to respond to emotional needs was a higher factor in adult bonds because both
individuals could act as an attachment figure to each other. Drawing upon this theory,
if an individual died within a relationship, the
Essay on Consequences of Conformity in The Chocolate War
Consequences of Conformity in The Chocolate War
Throughout Robert Cormier s The Chocolate War, the theme of the consequences of
conformity, or nonconformity, is expressed. Although The Chocolate War was first
published in 1974, this theme still pertains to the youth of today. This novel is
timeless because teenagers will always face the choice of whether to be true to
themselves, or to conform to what other s expect of them. In response to this theme,
David Peck states, what this idea becomes is the concept of being true to oneself and
standing up to the evil that one perceives in the world (Peck 2). Furthermore, this
idea is conveyed when Jerry refuses to participate in his school s chocolate sale. At
first he refuses to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the football field, he was struck from behind, a vicious blow to the kidneys,
sickening in its impact. His knees caved in and he sank to the ground again
(Cormier 189). Peck believes that the only character that is true to himself is Jerry
but at a terrible price (Peck 2). Moreover, the constant theme of being true to one s
self that is expressed in The Chocolate War is not displayed in a positive way. It
can almost be seen as depressing. Throughout the entire novel, all of Jerry s
attempts at being a nonconformist are met with brutal attacks. Even if the attacks
were not physical, they were emotionally brutal. On the contrary, one can also look
at Jerry s effort to conform. When he first refused to sell the chocolates, it was
because of his assignment. He did not want to upset the Vigils. In return, this upset
Brother Leon. In conclusion, this novel does not end on a positive note. Jerry is
defeated. He feels that all of his efforts were useless, and there is no way to stay true
to one s self if that means defying conformity. After his defeat, he tells his friend
Goober not to disturb the universe (Cormier 259). By this, he means that he regrets
not conforming because of all the trouble it cause him. Although the theme of the
consequences of nonconformity is not displayed in a positive way, the reader should
still be able to find the
Finishing Hardwood Floors
Hardwood floor can be finished using high power sanding machines, although some
handwork may be necessary in places that on which a sanding machine will not fit,
or near corners. Before starting the finishing process, the hardwood surface should
be free of dirt and all nails must be carefully driven so they are not protruding in the
floor or the baseboard. Depending on the hardwood flooringsurface, sometimes with
two sanding cuts, you will get a nice finish whatsoever, if the floor is uneven, then
three sanding cuts will be needed.
Hardwood Flooring Sanding Machines
There are two main types of sanding machines: drum or disk type. Drum sanders have
the sandpaper mounted on a drum that rotates parallel to the plane of the floor,
scratching in straight lines in the direction of the sanding machine. On the other
hand, disk sanders are the ones in which the sandpaper rotates in a circle in the
plane of the floor. There are different tools that will facilitate sanding hardwood floor
near the edges of the floor and next to the baseboard.
Choosing the right sandpaper is a very important thing to do, because coarse grits
will scratch the hardwood leaving some marks that will be noticeable. Fine grits are
better when you want to have the best finishing on a hardwood flooring, although it
will require additional work. For better results, start by using the coarse sandpaper, to
level the floor and continue to polish the surface using finer sandpaper.

New Trends in Advertising
II. INTRODUCTION
Advertising is a form of communication intended to persuade its viewers, readers or
listeners to take some action. It usually includes the name of a product or service and
how that product or service could benefit the consumer, to persuade potential
customers, to purchase or to consume that particular brand. Different types of media
can be used to deliver these messages, including traditional media such as
newspapers, magazines, television, radio, and billboards. But the trends in advertising
are changing over time. The competition is going tough day by day. Thus, marketers
are trying to find out more effective ways to reach the target audience. But these
changes have not occurred suddenly. There is a continuous ... Show more content on

newspapers are no longer as effective? What causes a product or service to sell in
today s world? Do you believe images and music cause a product or service to sell?
When a product or service is advertised what causes it to stay in your mind and
create a feeling of need for a product or service? With the facts of images and music
being played what makes those factors have an effect on the way we think? If you
do not like a current song and you see it advertising a product will you no longer buy
the product?
Children will see there favorite actor or actress in a commercial they want the
product. For example an actor or actresses in a nail polish advertisement. Does that
have the effect on the nail polish itself? No, yet children will want it. Does having
a big start make a product more effective when marking it? Does a new popular
song really make a product better? Or is it the fact of it catching or grabbing your
attention? When you hear a song on the radio that was in an advertisement does your
brain automatically think of a product? If so, how would you go about finding which
one would really help? With music and images constantly changing how do you keep

George Boole and Boolean Logic
If you own a computer, tablet, or smartphone, you already use the contributions of
George Boole to the worlds of technology and mathematics. Boole, an Englishman,
was an intellectual who was interested in many fields including poetry, languages,
science, and metaphysics. However, it was his interest in mathematics that drove
him to pursue knowledge in many areas of the subject, and he went on to write
numerous papers and volumes on a variety of mathematic topics. Boole s
determination to find a way use algebra to manipulate and solve logical problems led
to his greatest contribution to society, Boolean logic, and set the stage for explosion of

On his website, Luke Mastin explains, Boole began to see the possibilities for
applying his algebra to the solution of logical problems...determined to find a way
to encode logical arguments into a language that could be manipulated and solved
mathematically, he came up with a type of linguistic algebra, now known as
Boolean algebra (Mastin). Boole devised a simplified system assigning symbols
and connectives (such as AND, OR, and NOT) to statements comparing sets of
things or ideas. He used a binary system that processed two objects (i.e. true and
false ) that can be applied to any logic statement. This logic system was later used
in computer programming (by assigning a 1 for true and a 0 for false, for example)
and in electrical circuitry (Mastin). Boole wrote and published many academic
documents and papers including On a general method of analysis, in 1843, and
Mathematical Analysis of Logic in 1847. However, his most important work, and one
that defines his legacy, was his An investigation into the Laws of Thought, on Which
are founded the Mathematical Theories of Logic and Probabilities, published in 1854,
in which he explained the ideas that would become Boolean algebra (O Connor and
Robertson). The concepts that Boole developed and illustrated in his documents laid
the foundation for computer programming and contributed to the explosion of
technological advances that have happened since. Boolean logic is the basis for almost
anything that is
In The Mood For Love
Wong Kar Wai s movies often have a particular style of murmuring, the movie In the
Mood for Love isn t an exception. Wong focuses on describing the regret and
helplessness repeatedly during the movie time. Yet the background of the movie is
based on the period of 1960s in Hong Kong, Wong keeps highlighting the city
Shanghai and leaves many clues of it: the song singing in Shanghainese in the very
beginning of the movie; the Shanghainese land lady, who is willing to sharing her
room with the main character Suu, who also moved from Shanghai, and the
traditional dress of Shanghai women: Cheongsam, which Suu wears it all the time
during the movie. Wong shows his memory of Shanghai in this movie, reflecting his
nostalgia by those symbols.
Critical Analysis Of Requiem For A Dream
Requiem for a Dream is a 2000 psychological drama directed by Darren Aronofsky.
The story follows four characters as they struggle with, and eventually succumb to
their different addictions. This leads to the characters imprisonment in a world of
delusions and reckless desperation that is eventually overtaken by reality. The film
makes effective use of imagery and sound to create the feeling of the film reeling
towards the end at an impossible pace. By the end of the movie, the characters are
completely changed: withered, broken, and alone. Requiem for a Dream was
screened at the 2000 Cannes film festival, and was met with primarily positive
reviews.
Darren Aronofsky created the feeling of the film speeding up by shortening the
length of the scenes as the film progresses. At the beginning of the movie scenes are
90 seconds to 2 minutes in length, and it s by shortening the length of scenes and
frames that he created a sense of unease within the audience. It s also reflective of
the emotional states of the characters. At the beginning of the film, the characters
aren t necessarily too far gone to be saved. They still have time for each other, for
their future, and their plans. But as the scenes shorten their chances of saving
themselves become slimmer. They characters find themselves more and more alone
as they becomes slaves to their addiction, doing whatever they can to get their next
fix.
Requiem for a dream is split between two primary narratives which center on
Causes Of The Great Schism
Was the Great Schism a good thing?
The Greek and Roman empires were two different and unique places to live. Even
though they had many differences, they also had many similarities with one another.
One of the biggest similarities between these two great empires was they both
practiced the religion of Christianity. People may not know but they practiced
different types of Christianity in these two empires. The Romans would practice in
Catholic churches while the Greeks would practice in the Orthodox church. The
reason for these two churches to split up was because of an event called the Great
Schism which caused Christianity to split into these two churches. Many people at
the time might say that this was a good thing, others might say it s a bad thing. The
schism caused many different event to occur. According to the documents,
assumption of power and rivalry over land was the causes of the schism, churches
blaming each other and ill treatment were its effects. One of the events that lead to
the schism was that one church had more power that the other. As it states in
Document 1, If he wishes to judge us and even rule us and our church, not by taking
council with us but his own arbitrary (Document 1). This quote is said by an
Orthodox Archbishop named Nicomedia. In other words, Nicomedia s trying to say

Electronic Devices Are Used For Work Purposes
In today s society, the world is dominated by electronic devices regardless of age
there is a need to be connected to the internet on the go all the time. Whether it is
used for work purposes, school assignments or just for games and entertainment.
Every person has an electronic device they prefer to use while on the go when doing
all of these things, Using these three type of portable electronic gadgets: A Laptop, a
Tablet, and a Smartphone.
A Laptop is a computer with the same capabilities or more of your home or business
desktop computer that run IOS or Windows operating systems. But without all the
wiring or cables attached, it makes a laptop mobile and easy carry around when on
the go. A laptop being a complete computing device gives a person access to work
files anywhere, as well for students to do assignments that require certain software
that can only be completed though a computer. Most laptops can also read DVD s
and CD s are useful when traveling or stuck in a waiting room somewhere, laptops
are also great for entertaining children who are only settled down when watching
their favorite movies or playing their favorite computer games. Not to mention the
large memory drive, processing and graphic capabilities on many laptops are a
dream especially for those into doing all kinds of fancy things with their laptop like
using editing software or those into online gaming all this can be achieved with a

The Otago Youth Wellness Trust
1.0 Introduction
This report will analyse the Otago Youth Wellness Trust by using the External
Organisation Environment Model. The Otago Youth Wellness Trust is a non profit
and non governmental organisation (NGO) that was established in 1995 due to a
concern of truancy and youth offending that the Police and wider community held.
The Otago YouthWellness Trust is a free community based service for youngpeople
aged 11 18 years with multiple and complex need and who are least likely to access
mainstream services for support. (OYWT TODAY). These young people will work
with a single case worker in order to have access to a range of quality services to
meet their physical, emotional and social needs, which, in the provision of integrated
delivery will enhance their well being, break barriers to opportunities and ensure a
secure future. (OYWT Philosophy, Mission and Values).
2.0 Discussion
In this report, I will analyse the external environment of OYWT by focusing on four
different dimensions of the model, and applying it to the Trust. Followed by this are
two recommendations that the OYWT could undertake in order to make their
management more effective and efficient.
2.1 External Environmental Analysis
The external environment is all elements existing outside the organisation s
boundaries that have the potential to affect the organisation. (textbook). Because this
is a very broad definition, there is a model named the External Organisation

My Life Story Essay
Today during our CALM block we did an interesting exercise that focused on
opening each one of us up, and get us talking about some specific pieces of our life.
To be quite honest, this was a little challenging for me, as I don t really care to talk
about my life, though it was a tad bit easier as through the rotation I was paid with
people I was reasonable close with so I did not feel judged. I feel as though we
were to do this assignment because it goes hand in hand with the life view and
work view compasses. It gets us to think about who we really are and maybe what
gave us the perspectives we had on those views. Either way it was an interesting
challenged and I managed to get through it, so it was okay. The first piece of this
challenge was being paired up with one person and telling them your life story.
Now, I know many people probably say this, but my life story is not really a super
exiting one. I consider it to be pretty standard and basic even though in some ways
it is different from the average life. I suppose because this is what I think is normal
and that s maybe why I don t consider my life story to be overly exiting. At least for
right now. But with that, I ll get into a brief summary of what my life story is. I
was born in Calgary at Peterlauheed hospital, I had to have an emergency c section
because my heart rest kept slowing down. Then after I was born they found that
there was actually a second placenta so I could have potentially been a twin. I was

purification systems: valves, pumps and flow controllers. They are seeing high
competition in the pumps market while competitors are reducing the prices on
pumps. Because they do not have any design advantages to their product, they feel
they need to follow the market and lower their prices as well. A meeting was held to
discuss the declining profits and a proposal to change their overhead allocation
method was proposed. 1.)Use the Overhead Cost Activity Analysis in Exhibit 5 and
other data on manufacturing costs to estimate product costs for values, pumps and
flow controllers. Based on the information in the case, the cost of valves is $39, the

Another option is for Destin Brass to raise the price of flow controllers or reduce the
production runs to one per month reducing the per unit cost of the flow controllers.
Other areas the firm could look at is reducing the number of shipments being made of
the flow controllers. Currently they make 22 shipments; if they could reduce that it
would lower the per unit cost. They could also consider reducing the number of
transactions for receiving and handling of the flow controllers. I m not sure how
realistic these options are for the company but they are worth considering. 4.)Assume
that interest in a new basis for cost accounting at Destin Brass Products remains high.
In the following month, quantities produced and sold, activities, and costs were all at
standard. How much higher or lower would the net income reported under the activity
transaction based system be than the net income that will be reported under the
present, more traditional system? Why? Net Income should not change if Destin
Brass switched accounting systems. The switch would not change costs it only
reallocates them across the different products offered. Net Income is calculated by
taking revenues minus costs and if costs do not change from one system to the next,
net income will not
Why Is Queen Elizabeth Important
As a queen, you make lots of important public appearances to either make people
feel a certain emotion (happiness or sadness)or to show the importances of
something. Queen Elizabeth I did all of these things, but some appearances were
more important than others. Especially her famous speech at Tilbury in 1588. At
this point in English history, there is a lot of drama and war happening in and
around England. Just a year before this speech occurred, Queen Elizabeth had
sentenced Mary Queen of Scots to be killed for treason against England. The
Spanish used this time of inner turmoil to force their way into Europe and invade,
which they had been wanting to do for many years prior. The Spaniards reason for
invading was to take over and put a Catholic
The Evolution Of The American Family Essay
The Evolution of the American Family
Lisa Parris Godley
Introduction
n the upcoming page s I will answer the following questions. Why is family the most
important agent of socialization? What caused the dramatic changes to the American
family? What are the changes? I will discuss the differences in marriage and family, I
will discuss how they are linked to class, race, gender, and personal choices. The
purpose of this study is to explore the many different family functions and the paths
that people are now choosing. I will give my opinion on whether these changes have
had a positive or negative affect. I will finally discuss the trend of the modern family,
back to pre World War II family structure, how would that effect the strides that have
been made in the progression of women rights.
American families have never been as diverse as they are today. There is a
constant changing definition of what we call family . We as Americans are
straying further and further from the idea of a classic nuclear family. One of the
biggest reasons is a dramatic rise in kids living with a single parent. In 2014, just
14% of children younger than 18 lived with a stay at home mother and a working
father who were in their first marriage (Livingston, 2015). This research will address
in depth why households are now more diverse than ever, what s the normal family
now, and why aren t the laws adjusting to how the average American family lives
today.

The Present Society Of Our World Now Thrives On
Mankind’S
The present society of our world now thrives on mankind s advancement in
technology. According to Munkittrick (2011) People still believe mankind to be
experiencing the information age. While in fact mankind is now starting to
experience it s fifth and arguably most intense revolution in technology. Which brings
us into the Hybrid age in which technology may no longer be viewed as what will be
the next great invention. But instead as a rare technological view that will further be
a part of mankind s lives in culture, communication, art and most importantly our
society. Computers rule over our present society and redefines the many ways in

Thus, it has grown because of the technological advancement that humans have
created. And because of technology, these are harmful threats will continue to evolve
and grow alongside the growth of it. But how so? What can contribute and who will
ever contribute to anything that can be harmful against our world, friends, family,
and community? The answer is quite simple and that is the internet and its users.
The internet is extremely important in people s everyday lives, so much that
majority of the world s economy and its governments rely heavy on the web.
Communication, information, work, education, and health care are all at the top
when it comes to being heavenly dependent on the internet. The birth of the Web
opened up many opportunities, much of it being positive. But with every light,
there is a shadow. The Dark net, Dark web, and the Deep web. What do these
names stand for? What is their capabilities? And what kind people run, explore and
seek the services hidden in the shadow of the internet? The Dark net is the overlay
network for the Deep web. And it can only be accessed with specific configurations,
software and authorization. This can often be done by using an unknown standard
communication protocols and ports that many people know of. Since the creation
TCP/IP the internet s back bone. Created by government officials Kahn and Cerf

Analysis Of Anthem, By Ayn Rand
Is dystopian fiction, unremittingly bleak, leaving no room for hope, or is it a positive
warning to persuade us to speculate about the world that mankind has created.
On the surface, dystopian fiction is a bleak, depressing genre that offers a detailed
and destructive presentation of the very worst of social alternative , but in actuality it
is a means of speculation that reveals to the audience the real threats in society. It
extrapolates contemporary socio political trends taken into extremes , which compels
its audience to re examine the values of their society, resulting in an optimistic tale
that gives the audience hope to escape their pessimistic future. Anthem by Ayn Rand
(1937) is a detailed portrait of a collectivist society overstated for the purpose of satire
and storytelling. As a politically conscious writer, Rand writes to communicate to her
audience her political perception into the destructive psychology of collectivism. This
exposes the audience to the risks of conformity, along with providing means to avoid
this dystopian imagination crystallising into reality.
Dystopias are a hyperbolic view of a familiar society s values, and assert that total
control is harmful to the individual. Anthem is a grim future Rand envisioned after
experiencing first hand the impacts of a brutal Stalinist rule . It was influenced by
general socio political trend of increasing signs of collectivism and oligarchy
developing into more recent politics during the early 20th

resource that could end mankind and cause a global extinction. It s called water.
For decades, residents of California have lived expending resources as if they were
just extra pennies left over in their pockets. Thrown away and left forgotten about
for centuries, without the worry of a possible need for them. We ve been living
ostentatiously by building personal havens such as golf courses, pools, huge lawns,
and sports fields. Over the past few decades, this lifestyle has transformed our state
into a huge, luscious oasis. That time has changed, as California has now entered a
new crisis and it s time to face the fact that transformation is upon us, whether we
like it or not. Mega Drought. It s the word no one likes to talk about. It makes people
lose hope in the future, and with California having the title of being the number one
agriculture producing state in the country, it is a tremendous threat. For those of you
that don t know, some scientists have predicted that we are
Changes From The Progressive Era
Some of the most important changes from the Progressive Era were the Savers
ability to expand the role of the state. Public health increased which decreased infant
mortality, playgrounds were made for children to play in, and better school systems
were established leading to better educations (Mintz, 2004, p.173). The reduction in
infant mortality was due to cleaner living quarters and other health safeguards such
as pasteurized milk that was safer to drink (Mintz, 2004, p.176). School systems
today still separate childreninto their respective age groups as to not expose children
to things before they are ready.
During the Progressive Era, Children s Court was also established. This was an
important development because it gave children ... Show more content on

Over the past few decades many scientific advancements have led to the reform of
childrearing practices and the modern concept of adolescence. Three men, Charles
Darwin, G. Stanley Hall and Dr. Holt [what is Dr. Holt s first name? put that], made
some of the most crucial scientific advancements in this area. Studies by these three
men led to child rearing advice and drastically changed the way children were viewed.
After having a son of his own, Charles Darwin began to observe and study his child.
He examined whether behavior was learned or instinctual. He thought that children
needed to have freedom and express themselves. He helped society understand that
the minds, attitudes and emotions of children need to slowly be shaped overtime,
they are not naturally instilled at birth.
G. Stanley Hall was another great contributor to the advancements in the child
rearing reformation. In 1880, Hall conducted a set of experiments on 400 Boston
school children. Results of his study showed that children have minimal basic
knowledge like being able to identify body parts. In 1904, Hall wrote a book stating
that children were growing up too fast and needed to be in environments away from
adult temptation. He advocated for more child like environments such as schools
catering to the student s ages like kindergarten, middle school and high school. He
also indicated that extracurricular activities such sports were a great thing for children.

First Letter To Corinthians
There are many meaningful passages in the Holy Bible, but a passage from the first
letter to the Corinthians touched me the most. Your every act should be done with
love (1 Corinthians 16:14). Readers must read the first letter to the Corinthians as a
whole book before attempting to understand the passage, because apostle Paul, the
author of the text, provides readers with a thorough understanding into the life of an
early Christian community of the first generation than any other book of the New
Testament. Paul may have written more, but there are only two epistles documented
in the New Testament with the other two included within the two canonical epistles,
which he wrote to the Christian church in the city of Corinth. During the year 56, the
community of Corinth was manifesting open factionalism: certain members were
distinguishing themselves solely with individual Christian leaders, living publicly in
an incestuous union, engaged in legal conflicts in pagan courts of law, participating
in religious prostitution, and performing temple sacrifices. The lively pagan culture
that Corinth was famous for had crept into the church making it difficult to identify
the Christians and non Christians. The... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Conveying that the whole of their obedience to Christ, their knowledge of and
adherence to all his commands should spring from, and be done in love for him, and
their conduct and behavior towards one another be out of love and charity as
referring to the unrevised form of this text, Let all your things be done with charity (1
Corinthians 16:14). Paul emphasizes that love should bear all things, cover legions of
sins, and that all the Corinthians church affairs and meetings should be conducted in
peace with mutual affection instead of animosity and arrogance. The main message
Paul is conveying is love conquers
The Count Of Monte Cristo Literary Analysis
Literary Analysis Essay

Julius Caesar, the man who turned Rome into a force to be reckoned with was a
great leader, however his long and powerful rule was ended with a simple
assassination because he abused his power after dictating the stronghold of Rome.
History has proven to the Historical community that if one obtains power they are
likely to misuse that power. The two authors that will be used in my literary analysis
essay are Coldplay and Alexandre Dumas. The two text that will be discussed are
The Count of Monte Cristo and Viva La Vida. Each paragraph will be relating
diction used by both authors to prove a point. In the Count of Monte Cristo
Edmond Dantes a sailor is framed and put in jail. After many painful years he escapes
to put forward his revenge plan. Viva La vida is a hit song/poem; the lyrics imply
that a man once was a king, and after being used he is overthrown, and a new
person is to take his spot. In Viva La Vida and... Show more content on

The diction used in Viva La Vida and the Count of Monte Cristo provides a
negative connotation seeing that the poem Viva La Vida, and The count of Monte
cristo are two sad and dark stories. In Viva La Vida Chris Martin writes Just a
puppet on a lonely string, (Chris Martin 31). In the Count of Monte Cristo
Alexandre Dumas writes Monte Cristo cast a rapid glance around him. Andrea had
disappeared, (Dumas 56). The word choice in Viva La Vida is extremely significant
because Chris Martin uses the words puppet on a lonely string. Puppet must be a
metaphor to the fact that he was a king that was being used by the people, and he was
just a figure taking the blame for everything that occurred. Lonely must
The Structural Health Monitoring Systems
Abstract Structural health monitoring systems frequently use optimisation algorithms
to update or identify system parameters in structural dynamics. In this study, an
implementation of similar updating techniques is developed for thermal non
destructive material inspection using adaptive response surfaces to approximate
experimental parameters (thermal conductivity, convective heattransfer excitation
timing) for updating a finite element model. The use of thermal models results in
high non linearities in parameter influences and parameter updating accuracies, which
are discussed. In this work, adaptive response surface methods are compared using
interpolation, piecewise spline and polynomial regression functions. In this paper, the
most widely used optimisation routines for structural dynamics are compared and
validated on a thermal case with multiple independent parameters. The influence of
the choice of optimisation parameters is discussed and compared between the
different optimisation routines. Finally, a well suited data reduction technique is
investigated which transforms the data set to a smaller, focused response model in
each optimisation loop and delivers a proper regression accuracy. It is demonstrated
that the use of interpolating regression delivers more accurate parameter estimations
in contrast to structural dynamic updating where polynomial regression delivers
superior results.

The Major Functions of the Liver
The liver is a crucial organ in the body of vertebrates and mammals. It has a wide
variety of functions from protein synthesis from blood, to production of
biochemical s necessary for digestion, and to detoxification of blood. The liver is
essential for survival and there is no way to compensate for the absence of liver
function.
The liver is a multiple lobed organ that is in the front part of the abdominal cavity.
It is positioned directly behind the diaphragm and in front of the stomach. It is
situated straight across the front of the abdomen, with more of the liver on the
right side. A normal liver color is deep red to brownish with a firm consistency.
The liver is divided into several lobes and each is made up of multisided units
called hepatic lobules. Each lobule is composed of a rounded pane of cells that
give it a spongy texture and enables it to hold large amounts of blood. There are
two major blood vessels that enter the liver. Firstly, the portal vein, which carries
most of the blood to the liver and contains nutrients from the gastrointestinal tract.
The second is the hepatic artery, which carries oxygen rich blood to the liver from
the heart and lungs. There are two major structures that leave the liver, the hepatic
vein and the bile duct. The hepatic vein takes the blood from the liver, while the bile
duct takes bile to the gall bladder.
The liver is a storage place for glucose and production of urea from amino groups and
ammonia. It stores many essential

Recovering From Mistakes
People all around the world will make terrible mistakes, but overcoming mistakes
will only guide and build one to success. In the memoir Hole In My Life, by Jack
Gantos, the main character Jack was a brilliant writer looking for a job to pay for
his college tuition. For 10 thousand dollars he agreed to sail a boat with 2 thousand
pounds of hash along with another man, to New York City. Jack is anxious,
determined to live a better life, and impetuous to when making important decisions.
Jack is naturally an anxious person, and he lives his life on angst. Shortly after
getting on a boat with Rik and Hamilton, Jack accepts their risky smuggling
proposal. After they are done discussing the details, Jack became so Anxious; he
swims back to shore to start the drive home, All the way [home] I kept saying to
myself now settle down and think. Think what you re about to do. Be careful. Think
about what you re risking (Gantos 70). Jack thought that his angst would go away
after they started their journey. Unfortunately, it just built up as time went on. Jack
was about to dock their boat at the 79th street marina, just when he began to worry if
someone would come on the boat find them moving the hash. They then caught a cab;
Hamilton said feeling satisfied,
I told you not to worry. They are not that smart. (Gantos 144).
Ill breath a lot easier when I have my money, and I m out of here. (Gantos 144).
It is evident that Jacks anxious personality plays a prominent role in his smuggling
job because he is frightened by the possibility of getting caught and the
consequences he might face. Jake is a determined person. He is always determined
to make a better life for himself and his future. As Jack is thinking of the job that
he has been assigned to, he thinks about everything he can do when he is finished
with his job. Jack says to himself, Your job is just to get the boat there [with 2
thousand pounds of hash on it], and for that, you will get 10 thousand dollars... This
was the Jackpot. The answer I was looking for ... my exit from St.Croix and entrance
to whatever good school that would take me (Gantos 69). Before Jack took the job,
Treating Arthritis
Arthritis is the general term for the group of conditions that damage the joints and
result in pain and stiffness in one or more of the body s joints. The most common
forms are Osteoarthritis (brittle cartilage), Rheumatoid Arthritis (where the body s
immune system attacks the joints), Gout (Created by a build up of Uric Acid) and
Ankylosing Spondylitis (Pain and stiffness in the lower part of the spine). There are
many methods for treating arthritis which may include Exercise Physiology,
Phisiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Chiropractics, Acupuncture, Osteopathy,
Naturopathy, Exercise and Medication. A growing number of Arthritis sufferers are
turning to natural vitamin supplements as a preferred treatment method.
Glucosamine, Chondroitin and Omega 3 Fish Oil all have substantial evidence to
show their benefit in the treatment of Arthritis. MSM, Curcumin and Ginger also
have minimal substantiated evidence.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At a dosage of 1200mg per day, it is said to help cartilage absorb nutrients and water
into the cartilage to improve its shock absorption ability and prevent it from
cracking or chipping. Fish and cod liver oil contains Omega 3s which are said to
improve joint mobility and pain at a dosage of 450mg of fish oil per day. Research
suggests that at 1500mg of MSM a day, this natural source of sulphur may have anti
inflammatory effects. Curcumin (found in the Turmeric herb) is said to have
significant anti inflammatory effects when 6g of the Turmeric herb is taken per day
over a course of three months. Concentrated ginger extract has been shown by one
study to reduce knee pain in arthritis sufferers. Rosehip extract is also suggested to
help reduce pain and stiffness in sufferers of Arthritis. Whilst all of these nutrients
and vitamins are said to have benefits for Arthritis sufferers, you should not under any
circumstances substitute qualified medical advice with information found in this

Initially, the League of Nations appointed 4 eminent economists (Prof. Bruins of

report published in 1923[6] was used as the basis of the 1928 models[7] which in
turn find their pattern repeated in many of the Treaties of today. 3.b) 1935 Model
convention[8] The 1935 Model Convention defined the term business income and
was the first model treaty to contain specific provision on allocation of profit from
one company to an associated company. Though the 1935 convention was never
formally adopted it was of great significance because of the issues it dealt with.
The 1935 draft adopted the principle of income attributable to a permanent
establishment based on separate accounting. Interestingly, it provided two more
methods a) empirical method (percentage of turnover for example) b) fractional
apportionment under which net business income was determined by various
factors. Further, the 1935 model provided for all items of income other than those
allocable to specific sources to be grouped together as business income and rendered
taxable on a net basis. The 1935 draft was mainly based on the Carroll Report [9]
which was compiled based on Carroll s visit to 27 countries to extensively study their
tax systems. Carroll

Cyber Bullying Persuasive Essay
Inspirational speaker, writer, and community leader Anna Maria ChГЎvez once said
Cyber Bullies can hide behind a mask of anonymity online, and do not need direct
physical access to their victims to do unimaginable harm. Cyberbullying is
negatively taking over technology and adults aren t aware of the potential dangers it
has on their children. To start, children and teens do not talk to their parents about
the acts of cyberbullying that occur on their technology. Over half of young teens do
not tell their parents when cyberbullying occurs. (Webstar, 2017) This is a big
problem. This means that children are hurting, the result of cyberbullying, and they
are afraid to talk to their parents, or any adult for that matter. They are keeping their
emotions bottled up inside them, and parents have no idea this is happening. In fact,
only 1 in 10 teens tell an adult if they have been a cyberbully victim. (Webstar, 2017)
These numbers should not be the effect of cyberbullying. Children have to seek help
from adults and stop the cyber bullies hiding behind their screen. Might I add, it
should not be all on the children s shoulders. They are the victim, and they should
stand up for themselves, but why should it be all on them? Parents have to be on the
lookout for cyber bullyingthese days. Only 32% of parents actually monitor their
children s social networking activities, while 28% admitted they only occasionally,
rarely or never monitor activity. (Anderson, 2016) This 28% of

  • 5. Kony 2012 When I was a senior in high school, I participated in the Kony 2012 and Invisible Children social movement that focused on highlighting and identifying the controversies happening in Africa as a result of the Lord s Resistance Army (LRA) and their leader Joseph Kony. While I had no prior knowledge to what the charity, Invisible Children, stood for, it was not until the popular video Kony 2012 released on YouTube that I wanted to be actively involved in the campaign. The Kony 2012 movement had identifiable leaders who were the creators of the viral video, which included Jason Russell. At the same time, the movement included the Invisible Children organization, which Russell is a founder of, which the video came as a result of. It was successful in its initial goal for awareness, but it was highly criticized for creating inaccurate depictions of what was going on in Africa as well. The movement gained support from the US government and as a result became a part of the social norm during that year in activism, but would be forgotten by a majority of the public in the next year. Besides this brief resolution, the movement did not encourage many to join the cause of Invisible Children and resulted in many forgetting their support and the movement entirely. Russell s controversy tainted the image of the Kony movement, which may have impacted the Cover the Night event. • 6. Effects Of Second Hand Vehicles In The Zimbabwean Economy INTRODUCTION The Zimbabwean economy is nose diving and experiencing huge cash shortages of the currency in circulation ,this is being seen as the banks are now rationing the payments, giving each individual about $100 per day and sometimes less or no cash , also money is now not easily accessible from mobile bankers like eco cash, telecash and one wallet, this is being caused by the imports which are outweighing the exports and among these imports there is the importation of second hand cars which is seen to have dominated the imports of Zimbabwe. In 2013 between January and November the Zimbabweans imported about 206 519 cars worth over $606 million (ZIMSTATS,The Herald 23 April 2014).Thus the importation of second hand vehicles is worsening the trade deficit that is already unfavorable as in 2013 the budget deficit stood at $3billion(ZIMSTAT). Willowvale Mazda Motor Industry s production slumped from 18 000 vehicles per year in 1997 to below 4 000 vehicles and stopped producing in 2012 (Zimbabwe Independent 22 May 2015),this was mainly due to the importation of second hand vehicles by the Zimbabweans as they were less costly and complied with their budgets, the other players such as Quest motors and Croco motors in the automobile sector are being affected in the same manner leading to unemployment due to low capacity utilization in these companies as the demand new vehicles was estimated to be 25 000(Zimbabwe Independent 22 May 2015). The imports of second hand

Today was the day I would finally get all my answers on the theory of evolution, from the master himself, or should I say father . As I opened the door, a mysterious old figure stood with a tortoise by his side: it was Charles Darwin. Quickly and eagerly he went into the dining room and eagerly cried, Guys! I am very glad to see you all! I need to tell you all everything, everything that I had found out about! Before my family had fully sat on their seats, he shared fascinating stories about his adventures and voyages. He began explaining his tails on the famous HMS Beagle and his exploration of the Galapagos Islands. On his voyage on the Beagle he was instructed to chart stretches of coastlines of South America, but as he explained that he wasn t any Picasso, his sketches ended up poorly drawn. As we all know, Darwin has never been the type to enforce rules, and plus charting coastlines is just the most boring job a person can do. As well as charting, he shared his strange fascination on his observations of how the characteristics of plants and animals suits only specific environments in South America. He explained how plants and animals in similar geographic and climate zones have a similar resemblance. With great enthusiasm, Charles addressed my half brother and wife saying, Tom Bradey, 3 time MVP and 4 time super bowl winner, oh and the beautiful Vanessa Hudgens Ramolia! You must see how my observations and these fossils have similar

  • 13. How Does Brecht Make A Form Of Theatre In this essay I will be discussing the theatrical style of Brecht and how he created his own form of theatre and I will be using his play Mother Courage and Her Children to back up the innovation and techniques that Brecht used during his career. Mother Courage and Her Children is set in the 30 year s war and follows Mother Courage making a living by selling supplies from her wagon to armies that they encounter. Trying to make a living for herself and her family. The focus is on the conflict that occurs between war profiteering and maintaining a family. Her children end up dying due to the struggle of trying to live like a family and trying to survive the war. Brecht wanted to show audiences that if families are going to survive they need to understand that capitalism needs to go. Tullock then discusses how the Canaanite religion greatly influenced the developing Israelite religion, and a reason for the influence is due to the greater population associated with the Canaanites. From this point on, Tullock discusses the famous judges and the themes seen throughout the book of Judges. Tullock states that the major judges include Othniel, Ehud, Deborah, Gideon, Abimelech, Jephthah, and Samson. Urban Sprawl is the uncontrolled expansion of urban areas, and has recently become an important issue here in Kennesaw Georgia. Urban Sprawl also known as Urbanization has caused problems here such as air pollution, due to the amount of trafficdaily, construction due to the rapid growth, economic slowdowns, car accidents, etc. It is rare to travel to a location 10 miles away in less than 30 minutes due to the abundance of traffic on the interstates and on the roads. The Texas Constitution has been rewritten a total of six times since becoming independent from Mexico. The most recent being the Constitutionof 1876, which is excessively detailed and exact due to the framers fear of a strong state government. The framers of the constitution placed strategically in the body of the Constitution rules restricting the government s power. Making it inconvenient and difficult to reform the current Texas Constitution. There are four key functions of a Constitution. One function is stating the source of power and authority for legitimate state political institutions. Also in a state Constitution is the delegation of power, which explains how powers are granted and used by institutions and individuals. Another function is to prevent the concentration of political power, by supplying political mechanism such as checks and balances. Lastly, a Constitution explains the limits of political power. It begins by offering a definition of attachment theory which will further explain continuous bonds. It offers a critical examination of the strengths and weaknesses of the continuous bonds theory. Personal experiences will also be present throughout this essay in order to give the reader background information on how continuous bonds was explored by the author. Continuous bonds will be examined in order to understand how this can be incorporated into future social care practice. In order for a continuous bond to arise there must be an existing attachment prior to the individual s death. John Bowlby (1969, cited in Field, et al., 2005) created the attachment theory which was able to demonstrate that a child develops an attachment with their primary caregiver i.e. mother. Bowlby (1969) founded that children experienced distress when they were separated from their primary caregiver which showed that physical proximity was a prominent factor in the child s sense of security. According to Field, et al., (2005) attachment bonds between adults are seen to be different from child parent bonds, in that physical proximity was less of importance. However the ability to respond to emotional needs was a higher factor in adult bonds because both individuals could act as an attachment figure to each other. Drawing upon this theory, if an individual died within a relationship, the

Essay on Consequences of Conformity in The Chocolate War Consequences of Conformity in The Chocolate War Throughout Robert Cormier s The Chocolate War, the theme of the consequences of conformity, or nonconformity, is expressed. Although The Chocolate War was first published in 1974, this theme still pertains to the youth of today. This novel is timeless because teenagers will always face the choice of whether to be true to themselves, or to conform to what other s expect of them. In response to this theme, David Peck states, what this idea becomes is the concept of being true to oneself and standing up to the evil that one perceives in the world (Peck 2). Furthermore, this idea is conveyed when Jerry refuses to participate in his school s chocolate sale. At first he refuses to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Peck believes that the only character that is true to himself is Jerry but at a terrible price (Peck 2). Moreover, the constant theme of being true to one s self that is expressed in The Chocolate War is not displayed in a positive way. It can almost be seen as depressing. Throughout the entire novel, all of Jerry s attempts at being a nonconformist are met with brutal attacks. Even if the attacks were not physical, they were emotionally brutal. On the contrary, one can also look at Jerry s effort to conform. When he first refused to sell the chocolates, it was because of his assignment. He did not want to upset the Vigils. In return, this upset Brother Leon. In conclusion, this novel does not end on a positive note. Jerry is defeated. He feels that all of his efforts were useless, and there is no way to stay true to one s self if that means defying conformity. After his defeat, he tells his friend Goober not to disturb the universe (Cormier 259). By this, he means that he regrets not conforming because of all the trouble it cause him. Although the theme of the consequences of nonconformity is not displayed in a positive way, the reader should still be able to find the

Finishing Hardwood Floors Hardwood floor can be finished using high power sanding machines, although some handwork may be necessary in places that on which a sanding machine will not fit, or near corners. Before starting the finishing process, the hardwood surface should be free of dirt and all nails must be carefully driven so they are not protruding in the floor or the baseboard. Depending on the hardwood flooringsurface, sometimes with two sanding cuts, you will get a nice finish whatsoever, if the floor is uneven, then three sanding cuts will be needed. Hardwood Flooring Sanding Machines There are two main types of sanding machines: drum or disk type. Drum sanders have the sandpaper mounted on a drum that rotates parallel to the plane of the floor, scratching in straight lines in the direction of the sanding machine. On the other hand, disk sanders are the ones in which the sandpaper rotates in a circle in the plane of the floor. There are different tools that will facilitate sanding hardwood floor near the edges of the floor and next to the baseboard. Choosing the right sandpaper is a very important thing to do, because coarse grits will scratch the hardwood leaving some marks that will be noticeable. Fine grits are better when you want to have the best finishing on a hardwood flooring, although it will require additional work. For better results, start by using the coarse sandpaper, to level the floor and continue to polish the surface using finer sandpaper. Hardwood Flooring Sanding

Boole, an Englishman, was an intellectual who was interested in many fields including poetry, languages, science, and metaphysics. However, it was his interest in mathematics that drove him to pursue knowledge in many areas of the subject, and he went on to write numerous papers and volumes on a variety of mathematic topics. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... On his website, Luke Mastin explains, Boole began to see the possibilities for applying his algebra to the solution of logical problems...determined to find a way to encode logical arguments into a language that could be manipulated and solved mathematically, he came up with a type of linguistic algebra, now known as Boolean algebra (Mastin). Boole devised a simplified system assigning symbols and connectives (such as AND, OR, and NOT) to statements comparing sets of things or ideas. He used a binary system that processed two objects (i.e. true and false ) that can be applied to any logic statement. This logic system was later used in computer programming (by assigning a 1 for true and a 0 for false, for example) and in electrical circuitry (Mastin). Boole wrote and published many academic documents and papers including On a general method of analysis, in 1843, and Mathematical Analysis of Logic in 1847. However, his most important work, and one that defines his legacy, was his An investigation into the Laws of Thought, on Which are founded the Mathematical Theories of Logic and Probabilities, published in 1854, in which he explained the ideas that would become Boolean algebra (O Connor and Robertson). The concepts that Boole developed and illustrated in his documents laid the foundation for computer programming and contributed to the explosion of technological advances that have happened since. • 32. Critical Analysis Of Requiem For A Dream Requiem for a Dream is a 2000 psychological drama directed by Darren Aronofsky. The story follows four characters as they struggle with, and eventually succumb to their different addictions. This leads to the characters imprisonment in a world of delusions and reckless desperation that is eventually overtaken by reality. The film makes effective use of imagery and sound to create the feeling of the film reeling towards the end at an impossible pace. By the end of the movie, the characters are completely changed: withered, broken, and alone. Requiem for a Dream was screened at the 2000 Cannes film festival, and was met with primarily positive reviews. Darren Aronofsky created the feeling of the film speeding up by shortening the length of the scenes as the film progresses. At the beginning of the movie scenes are 90 seconds to 2 minutes in length, and it s by shortening the length of scenes and frames that he created a sense of unease within the audience. It s also reflective of the emotional states of the characters. At the beginning of the film, the characters aren t necessarily too far gone to be saved. They still have time for each other, for their future, and their plans. But as the scenes shorten their chances of saving themselves become slimmer. They characters find themselves more and more alone as they becomes slaves to their addiction, doing whatever they can to get their next fix. Requiem for a dream is split between two primary narratives which center on

One of the biggest similarities between these two great empires was they both practiced the religion of Christianity. People may not know but they practiced different types of Christianity in these two empires. The Romans would practice in Catholic churches while the Greeks would practice in the Orthodox church. The reason for these two churches to split up was because of an event called the Great Schism which caused Christianity to split into these two churches. On the surface, dystopian fiction is a bleak, depressing genre that offers a detailed and destructive presentation of the very worst of social alternative , but in actuality it is a means of speculation that reveals to the audience the real threats in society. It extrapolates contemporary socio political trends taken into extremes , which compels its audience to re examine the values of their society, resulting in an optimistic tale that gives the audience hope to escape their pessimistic future. Anthem by Ayn Rand (1937) is a detailed portrait of a collectivist society overstated for the purpose of satire and storytelling. As a politically conscious writer, Rand writes to communicate to her audience her political perception into the destructive psychology of collectivism. The reduction in infant mortality was due to cleaner living quarters and other health safeguards such as pasteurized milk that was safer to drink (Mintz, 2004, p.176). School systems today still separate childreninto their respective age groups as to not expose children to things before they are ready. During the Progressive Era, Children s Court was also established. This was an important development because it gave children ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Over the past few decades many scientific advancements have led to the reform of childrearing practices and the modern concept of adolescence. Three men, Charles Darwin, G. Stanley Hall and Dr. Holt [what is Dr. Holt s first name? put that], made some of the most crucial scientific advancements in this area. Studies by these three men led to child rearing advice and drastically changed the way children were viewed. After having a son of his own, Charles Darwin began to observe and study his child. He examined whether behavior was learned or instinctual. He thought that children needed to have freedom and express themselves. He helped society understand that the minds, attitudes and emotions of children need to slowly be shaped overtime, they are not naturally instilled at birth. G. Stanley Hall was another great contributor to the advancements in the child rearing reformation. In 1880, Hall conducted a set of experiments on 400 Boston school children. Results of his study showed that children have minimal basic knowledge like being able to identify body parts. In 1904, Hall wrote a book stating that children were growing up too fast and needed to be in environments away from adult temptation. He advocated for more child like environments such as schools catering to the student s ages like kindergarten, middle school and high school. He also indicated that extracurricular activities such sports were a great thing for children. [First Name] Holt had somewhat of a
  • 46. First Letter To Corinthians There are many meaningful passages in the Holy Bible, but a passage from the first letter to the Corinthians touched me the most. Your every act should be done with love (1 Corinthians 16:14). Readers must read the first letter to the Corinthians as a whole book before attempting to understand the passage, because apostle Paul, the author of the text, provides readers with a thorough understanding into the life of an early Christian community of the first generation than any other book of the New Testament. Paul may have written more, but there are only two epistles documented in the New Testament with the other two included within the two canonical epistles, which he wrote to the Christian church in the city of Corinth. During the year 56, the community of Corinth was manifesting open factionalism: certain members were distinguishing themselves solely with individual Christian leaders, living publicly in an incestuous union, engaged in legal conflicts in pagan courts of law, participating in religious prostitution, and performing temple sacrifices. The lively pagan culture that Corinth was famous for had crept into the church making it difficult to identify the Christians and non Christians. The... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Paul emphasizes that love should bear all things, cover legions of sins, and that all the Corinthians church affairs and meetings should be conducted in peace with mutual affection instead of animosity and arrogance. The main message Paul is conveying is love conquers

The Count Of Monte Cristo Literary Analysis Literary Analysis Essay Kush Yagnik Julius Caesar, the man who turned Rome into a force to be reckoned with was a great leader, however his long and powerful rule was ended with a simple assassination because he abused his power after dictating the stronghold of Rome. History has proven to the Historical community that if one obtains power they are likely to misuse that power. The two authors that will be used in my literary analysis essay are Coldplay and Alexandre Dumas. The two text that will be discussed are The Count of Monte Cristo and Viva La Vida. Each paragraph will be relating diction used by both authors to prove a point. In the Count of Monte Cristo Edmond Dantes a sailor is framed and put in jail. After many painful years he escapes to put forward his revenge plan. Viva La vida is a hit song/poem; the lyrics imply that a man once was a king, and after being used he is overthrown, and a new person is to take his spot. In Viva La Vida and... The diction used in Viva La Vida and the Count of Monte Cristo provides a negative connotation seeing that the poem Viva La Vida, and The count of Monte cristo are two sad and dark stories. In Viva La Vida Chris Martin writes Just a puppet on a lonely string, (Chris Martin 31). In the Count of Monte Cristo Alexandre Dumas writes Monte Cristo cast a rapid glance around him. Andrea had disappeared, (Dumas 56). The word choice in Viva La Vida is extremely significant because Chris Martin uses the words puppet on a lonely string. Puppet must be a metaphor to the fact that he was a king that was being used by the people, and he was just a figure taking the blame for everything that occurred. Lonely must
  • 48. The Structural Health Monitoring Systems Abstract Structural health monitoring systems frequently use optimisation algorithms to update or identify system parameters in structural dynamics. In this study, an implementation of similar updating techniques is developed for thermal non destructive material inspection using adaptive response surfaces to approximate experimental parameters (thermal conductivity, convective heattransfer excitation timing) for updating a finite element model. The use of thermal models results in high non linearities in parameter influences and parameter updating accuracies, which are discussed. In this work, adaptive response surface methods are compared using interpolation, piecewise spline and polynomial regression functions. In this paper, the most widely used optimisation routines for structural dynamics are compared and validated on a thermal case with multiple independent parameters. The influence of the choice of optimisation parameters is discussed and compared between the different optimisation routines. Finally, a well suited data reduction technique is investigated which transforms the data set to a smaller, focused response model in each optimisation loop and delivers a proper regression accuracy. It is demonstrated that the use of interpolating regression delivers more accurate parameter estimations in contrast to structural dynamic updating where polynomial regression delivers superior results. 1 Introduction Computer simulation is an economic and fast way to determine
  • 49. The Major Functions of the Liver The liver is a crucial organ in the body of vertebrates and mammals. It has a wide variety of functions from protein synthesis from blood, to production of biochemical s necessary for digestion, and to detoxification of blood. The liver is essential for survival and there is no way to compensate for the absence of liver function. The liver is a multiple lobed organ that is in the front part of the abdominal cavity. It is positioned directly behind the diaphragm and in front of the stomach. It is situated straight across the front of the abdomen, with more of the liver on the right side. A normal liver color is deep red to brownish with a firm consistency. The liver is divided into several lobes and each is made up of multisided units called hepatic lobules. Each lobule is composed of a rounded pane of cells that give it a spongy texture and enables it to hold large amounts of blood. There are two major blood vessels that enter the liver. Firstly, the portal vein, which carries most of the blood to the liver and contains nutrients from the gastrointestinal tract. The second is the hepatic artery, which carries oxygen rich blood to the liver from the heart and lungs. There are two major structures that leave the liver, the hepatic vein and the bile duct. The hepatic vein takes the blood from the liver, while the bile duct takes bile to the gall bladder. The liver is a storage place for glucose and production of urea from amino groups and ammonia. It stores many essential

Analysis Of Hole In My Life Natasha Vallancey Mrs.Hamm Comp./Lit 9 (5) 27 October 2017 Recovering From Mistakes People all around the world will make terrible mistakes, but overcoming mistakes will only guide and build one to success. In the memoir Hole In My Life, by Jack Gantos, the main character Jack was a brilliant writer looking for a job to pay for his college tuition. For 10 thousand dollars he agreed to sail a boat with 2 thousand pounds of hash along with another man, to New York City. Jack is anxious, determined to live a better life, and impetuous to when making important decisions. Jack is naturally an anxious person, and he lives his life on angst. Shortly after getting on a boat with Rik and Hamilton, Jack accepts their risky smuggling proposal. After they are done discussing the details, Jack became so Anxious; he swims back to shore to start the drive home, All the way [home] I kept saying to myself now settle down and think. Think what you re about to do. Be careful. Think about what you re risking (Gantos 70). Jack thought that his angst would go away after they started their journey. Unfortunately, it just built up as time went on. Jack was about to dock their boat at the 79th street marina, just when he began to worry if someone would come on the boat find them moving the hash. They then caught a cab; Hamilton said feeling satisfied, I told you not to worry. They are not that smart. (Gantos 144). Ill breath a lot easier when I have my money, and I m out of here. (Gantos 144). It is evident that Jacks anxious personality plays a prominent role in his smuggling job because he is frightened by the possibility of getting caught and the consequences he might face. Jake is a determined person. He is always determined to make a better life for himself and his future. As Jack is thinking of the job that he has been assigned to, he thinks about everything he can do when he is finished with his job. Jack says to himself, Your job is just to get the boat there [with 2 thousand pounds of hash on it], and for that, you will get 10 thousand dollars... This was the Jackpot. The answer I was looking for ... my exit from St.Croix and entrance to whatever good school that would take me (Gantos 69). Before Jack took the job,

Though the 1935 convention was never formally adopted it was of great significance because of the issues it dealt with. The 1935 draft adopted the principle of income attributable to a permanent establishment based on separate accounting. Interestingly, it provided two more methods a) empirical method (percentage of turnover for example) b) fractional apportionment under which net business income was determined by various factors. Further, the 1935 model provided for all items of income other than those allocable to specific sources to be grouped together as business income and rendered taxable on a net basis. The 1935 draft was mainly based on the Carroll Report [9] which was compiled based on Carroll s visit to 27 countries to extensively study their tax systems. Carroll

Cyber Bullying Persuasive Essay Inspirational speaker, writer, and community leader Anna Maria ChГЎvez once said Cyber Bullies can hide behind a mask of anonymity online, and do not need direct physical access to their victims to do unimaginable harm. Cyberbullying is negatively taking over technology and adults aren t aware of the potential dangers it has on their children. To start, children and teens do not talk to their parents about the acts of cyberbullying that occur on their technology. Over half of young teens do not tell their parents when cyberbullying occurs. (Webstar, 2017) This is a big problem. This means that children are hurting, the result of cyberbullying, and they are afraid to talk to their parents, or any adult for that matter. They are keeping their emotions bottled up inside them, and parents have no idea this is happening. In fact, only 1 in 10 teens tell an adult if they have been a cyberbully victim. (Webstar, 2017) These numbers should not be the effect of cyberbullying. Children have to seek help from adults and stop the cyber bullies hiding behind their screen. Might I add, it should not be all on the children s shoulders. They are the victim, and they should stand up for themselves, but why should it be all on them? Parents have to be on the lookout for cyber bullyingthese days. Only 32% of parents actually monitor their children s social networking activities, while 28% admitted they only occasionally, rarely or never monitor activity. (Anderson, 2016) This 28% of
