Outsider Essay
Crafting an essay on the theme of "Outsider" can be a challenging endeavor, as it requires a
nuanced exploration of the concept from various angles. The difficulty lies in striking a balance
between personal interpretation and broader societal perspectives. The term "outsider" is
multifaceted, encompassing themes of alienation, marginalization, and the struggle for
acceptance.
To create a compelling essay, one must delve into the psychological and emotional aspects of
feeling like an outsider. This involves drawing on personal experiences or those of others,
weaving together narratives that resonate with readers. However, striking the right chord
between introspection and relatability can be a delicate task.
Moreover, delving into the societal dimensions of being an outsider demands a thorough
examination of historical, cultural, and socio-economic contexts. It requires a critical analysis of
how certain groups or individuals are marginalized and the impact of such exclusion on both
individuals and society as a whole.
The challenge intensifies when attempting to avoid clichГ©s and stereotypes associated with the
outsider narrative. Crafting an original perspective that goes beyond the conventional
understanding of the theme requires thoughtful consideration and a unique approach.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Outsider" demands a delicate balance between
personal reflections and broader societal implications. It requires a deep understanding of the
complexities surrounding the concept, both on an individual and collective level. Despite the
challenges, successfully navigating this intricate terrain can result in a thought-provoking and
impactful essay.

Google s Impact On The World
Google is one of the most popular, and most used web search engines in the world.
Google also has many services that helps you send mail, generate website pages,
and create blogs. With all of these great tools come many great, user friendly
features specifically tied to Google. Google has vastly become one of the best search
engines in the world, if not the best. Googleaverages about 12 billion searches per
month, which is the most by any search engine in the world. Users can also search
for photos, newsletters, and even geographic locations. The best part is, that all of
these services are basically free. Google has also set to build more then just a
search engine. Google is working on Google glass, self driving cars, and even have
a cell phone called the Android. Google also owns the rights to YouTube, where
many users go to upload and watch countless videos. Another great thing the
company is doing is spending money on alternative energy sources; last year
Google spent 1 billion dollars trying to increase the use of wind and solar energy.
Google is also fighting in D.C. to keep the Internet free for Americans. Lastly,
Google has one of the best working environments in the world. Google has been the
number 1 best company to work for 5 times in a row, including this year. They have
been reported to the best human resources department in the world, taking their
employee s happiness over profit. There is no doubt in anyone s mind that Google is
not the best company to work
The Central And Peripheral B Cell Tolerance
Name :Amol Chaudhari CSU I.D 2571148 Checkpoints for the central and peripheral
B cell tolerance Introduction : B lymphocytes are the effectors of humoral immunity
and provides defense against pathogens by producing antibody. B cells constitute
approximately 15% of peripheral blood leukocytes and arise from progenitors and
precursors in the bone marrow. B lymphocytes undergo random immunoglobulin
variable gene rearrangements at the heavy and light chain loci. These chains pair with
the IgО± and IgОІ polypeptides to form the mature B cell receptor which is then
transported onto the cell surface where it can bind antigen and signal inside the
cell. Different populations of B cells result in pre immune pools where each cell in
these quiescent populations expresses a B cell antigen receptor with a unique
specificity. The BCRs come in contact with their specific antigen and generate
several intracellular signals are which leads activation, differentiation, and formation
of plasma cells and memory B cells. This process mediates the response to
subsequent antigen challenges. B lymphocytes play an essential role by not only
producing antibodies but also functioning as antigen presenting cells and certain B
cells can also negatively regulate the immune response by producing regulatory
cytokines and directly interacting with pathogenic T cells via cell to cell contact.
Newly generated immature B cells are selected to enter the peripheral mature B cell
pool only if they do not
Magazines Are Becoming More Neglected Essay
One of the main abilities to satisfy people with products or services is through
advertising. Believe it or not, you probably won t find many advertising as much as
you would find in a magazine. Unfortunately, magazines are becoming more
neglected. You don t see many people reading magazines because of the high
technology access we have today. Though magazines could still be mailed to you
through subscription with the company, advertisingcould be found online.
Advertising could either be found through social media, subscriptions from the
company (if you have any) on your email, maybe even from a text message from
families or friends, and such. Well, Men s Health magazine is one of them. Not
only this magazine advertises, but also it s almost like a support system for men
as well. Perhaps an outlet to get away from the daily life. Men s Health magazine is a
lifestyle magazine for men, specifically for men who are the ages 18 and up (adults).
Being the world s largest men s magazine brandwith 40 editions in 47 countries, Men
s Health magazine helps its audience with advice on good health and/or hygiene,
being distracted from their daily lives, and being entertained all at once. While
reading Men s Health, you re going to notice that half of the magazine is filled with
advertisements. When there s an article on one side, there s an ad on the other, and
vice versa. Men s Health magazine target audience is not only adult men, but men
who want to achieve a good body and who
Pollution In Community Pollution
Las Vegas, Nevada and the surrounding Clark County ranks in the 90 100th
percentile for the dirtiest/worst counties in the U.S. in terms of pollution from
Carbon Monoxide emissions, Nitrogen Oxide emissions, PM 2.5 emissions, PM
10 emissions, and Sulfur Dioxide emissions (Scorecard, 2011b). These same
pollutants are known to cause cytotoxic and functional damages to human airways
through oxidative stress and inflammation; which are linked to respiratory diseases
in children (Ferrante, Antona, Malizia, Montalbano, La Grutta, 2016). Currently,
Clark County is home to 29,146 children with asthma and 130,553 adults with
asthma; that s 7.55% of the population of 2,114,801 (American Lung Association,
2017). There seems to be a correlation between the high levels of pollution in Clark
County and the high numbers of people with asthma that is impacting the
community s quality of life in terms of health and the economy, and it is having an
adverse effect on the environment as well. Body: Clark County scores badly in the
air quality category of tests from different organizations. For instance, the American
Lung Association (ALA) uses readings from the Environmental Protection Agency
s Air Quality System (AQS) for a period of three years and derives a weighted
average; the ALA then assigns a grade associated with this average to counties in the
U.S. (American Lung Association, 2017b). By ALA standards, a county with a
weighted average of a 3.3 or higher fails. Clark County failed
Francisco Goya May 3 1808
Francisco Goya s The Executions of May 3, 1808, is a remarkably interesting
piece of art. This piece represents a protest against the Napoleon Occupational
Army in Madrid. There are various visual elements and design principles in the art,
which will be covered. The beginning of this ILO will contain the visual elements
first, followed by the design principles, and what they mean in the artwork. In
Goya s art, we can see the primary, visual element of lines. Lines represent motion,
dynamics, and direction. The soldiers are aiming their rifles at a group of prisoners
waiting for execution. Horizontal lines indicate a peaceful scene, however, in this
case, it would be appropriate to say they mean a sense of destruction or death, as
the title of the art depicts. As the view follows the direction of the lines, the viewer
is immediately drawn to the man with the bright white shirt. The values of the piece
are relatively dark and morbid, however, when we look at the man with the white
shirt, we can see the opposite effect of the bright white shirt. Going back to the
element of lines, once the viewer looks at the man with the white shirt, you can see
his hands are in a diagonal position. These diagonal lines represent dynamics and
tension. The pressure comes from the imminent execution of that man.

We must also deduce whether the balance is symmetrical or asymmetrical. If one
splits the painting in half, one can see it is not completely balanced. You have more
weight on the right hand side than you do on the left. However, regarding art, it is
balanced. Even though there are more objects on the right, the values of the bright
white shirt give it a sense of equal distribution. This uneven, yet balanced proportion
of the art tells the viewer that it is asymmetrical. It is asymmetrical because it is
unequally distributed, yet it is still
Chocolat Noir Layered Sauce
The two properties of food embodied in our chosen recipe, Chocolat Noir Layered
Cake with Raspberry Sauce, include the properties of aeration and coagulation,
evident in both the preparation and cooking process of our recipe.
Aeration is the accumulation of air into a food product via multiple preparation
techniques. The incorporation of air into a food product can be applied through
biological, chemical, mechanical, or physical processes. Aeration can be biologically
acquired with the addition of yeast, causing carbon dioxide to be released when the
yeast breaks down the sugars in the product. The gas is entrapped in the gluten
structure, which then expands the product. Chemical aeration involves the formation
of gas (Co2) from chemicals such as baking powder, expanding the gluten network of
the product when heated, to increase the volume of the product. Mechanical ... Show

We mechanically aerate the mix by whisking, utilising the hand mixer set on the
aeration level. This is to ensure we are creating volume and making the cake mixture
light and fluffy. Agitation via whisking in our recipe creates air cells within the
mixture, making our cake easier to digest, mixing the ingredients together evenly, and
creating a delicate texture ideal for a catering event. The beaten egg during the
whisking process contributes body to the mixture, the binding nature of the egg
surrounding and sealing the air in the mixture before baking. In addition, we also
encounter chemical aeration in our recipe with the inclusion of baking powder in our
batter. The baking powder (a leavening agent) combines powdered alkali with
powdered acid, which when moistened with the addition of water in the mixture,
chemically reacts to release carbon dioxide into the mixture, further aerating the
To Kill A Mockingbird Social Justice
To Kill a Mockingbird essay Halen Baltus
When I hear the words social justice, I think of justice over a certain amount of
society. The real meaning of social justice is Justice in terms of the distribution of
wealth, opportunities, and privileges within a society. Social justice fits in with To
Kill A Mockingbird because Atticus is defending Tom Robinson in front of many
people and a judge. This goes with social justice because a white man is helping a
black man even though he feels they will not win. It states in Central America
Turmoil my be Cause of Child Migrant Surge that President Obama is responsible for
this (Johnson). To me this fits social justicebecause they are blaming a black man
for bad things that are happening when they secretly know it isn t just his fault. The
line from the newsela article also has prejudice in it because it is making Obama feel

We overcome them by thinking positive thoughts and helping others stay positive.
In To Kill A Mockingbird, it states, nigger lover is just one of those terms that don t
mean anything like snot nose. It s hard to explain ignorant, trashy people use it
when they think somebody s favoring Negroes over and above themselves. It s
slipped into usage with some people like ourselves, when they want a common,
ugly term to label somebody (Lee 144). This has to do with prejudice because Scout
is speaking her opinion about nigger lover. Her opinion may not fit other people s
perspectives, but she has the power to say what she wants, which isn t fair to other

The Power Of Love By Sue Johnson
The bonds people form as infants from the time that person grows old, are important
to their way of life (Johnson, 2016, p.10). The decrease of heart risk, the reduced
stress, and the longevity of life are all aspects that come from a successful
relationship with strong confident bonds (Johnson, 2016, p.13).The same can be said
though for people with orientated and problematic relationships with harmful side
effects like decreased life, excessive amounts of cortisol, and uncontrollable weight
gain (Schaeffer, 2009, p.24). All the side effects shown and more have been proven
with multiple researches and experiments throughout the years that support the claim;
relationships can affect different aspects of a person s life.
In the magazine article, The Power of Love published by Time in 2016 and written
by Sue Johnson, she explains that the quality of a relationship can have its health
perks, but also it can be a peril in its absence. The disturbing truth is that an
epidemic of depression is increasing steadily in this society. The rise in isolation
and social disorder is so demanding on the human body it warrants a patient to
doctor appointment (Johnson, 2016, p.10). This is because of the rise in
technology, leading to the isolation a person might feel in life. It is often said that
recently a person s life partner is the only reliable source of comfort the significant
other has in a society of isolation (Johnson, 2016, p.10). The bond people have with

Revenue Recognition Case Summary

Therefore, MITS should not be pay the bonus payable in the current year. However,
the bonus plan will help the company increase performance, but the plan may lead to

Mainframe Server Revenue
I recommend alternative 2 the revenue should be recognized when the customer has
sign off on an installation form and accepted the server. This is the point that the
risk and reward is transfer to the customer and the MITS does not have the

three servers, mainframe server revenue should be record based on the bifurcate
value of $466,102 per server. The total revenue of server is $1,398,306.

Whereas a strongly conservatives averaged neutral on Ingroup / loyalty statements,

strongly agreeing with Authority / Respect(Graham, Haidt and Nosek 2009). In an
earlier paper Haidt and Graham(2007) found that for extreme liberals, Harm / Care
and Fairness / Reciprocity where almost always relivent, however those who are
extremely conservative find that they value all five more equally when making moral
choice. This correlates almost perfectly with the earlier paper from Graham, Haidt
and Nosek(2009), showing that the findings seem highly reliable. Haidt and
Graham(2007) go on to say that the recognition of the final three moral
foundations(Ingroup / Loyalty, Authority / Respect and Purity / Sanctity) is key to
allowing more fair and even discussions between the two political standpoints.
Furthering on this Tyran (2004) found that when a person is presented with a voting
option in a referendum where the result would be of financial cost to themselves, but
would be morally right, specifically relevant to the Harm / Care and Fairness

demonstrates that the connection between moral
Narcissism And Social Networking Web Sites
The article I chose for this critique was Narcissism and Social Networking Web
Sites written by Laura E. Buffardi and W. Keith Campbell from the University of
Georgia. This article is based on an experiment that was taken place to prove
whether others could perceive a narcissistic individual as a narcissist through
observing their social media sites. This experiment was a correlational type of
study. The experimenters goal was to analyze whether there was any correlation or
connection between the web page owner being a narcissist and the type of content
they had on their profile. With this type of study, the variables are not as familiar as
they might be when it comes to other experiments. The independent variable, or as
referenced in this article, the predictor variable, was the web pages owners measured
narcissism. Since the experimenter doesn t necessarily manipulate this variable, it is
known as the predictor variable instead. The dependent variable was the narcissistic
impressions of the raters, or observers of the web pages. There was an extra variable
in this experiment known as the proposed mediator. A proposed mediator is a model
used to identify and explain the procedures that root from the relationship between
the independent and dependent variables. In this case, the proposed mediators were
the quantity of social interaction, main photo attractiveness, main photo sexiness, and
main photo self promotion. The method of this experiment was as follows: The
The Aeneid by Virgil
The perception of morality is very subjective and relates heavily to what the
society of the period defines as good or bad. In the Aenied, Vergil creates two
characters with morally opposite values; Aenias and Dido. Aenias can be
interpreted as the embodiment of what Vergil believes is right, while Dido is the
embodiment of what Vergil believes to be bad. The contrast of Dido s and Aeneas
behavior represents the fact that Vergil s moral values are heavily influenced by the
moral values which the romans upheld, as we can see in the character Aeneas which
shows many values that was heavily emphasized by the policy that Augustus enforced
during Vergil s time, and the character Dido which shows the opposite values that
was deemed good during that period.
One of the values that was enforced during Vergil s time by Augustus was patriotism,
which in the Aeniad s context is prioritizing between personal satisfaction, or the
greater good. In book 4 of the Aeneid, the character Aenias and Dido represents the
two opposing values, in which Aenias represents the greater good, while Dido
represents the personal satisfaction. For example, Dido was willing to sacrifice her
honor and the respect of her people for Aenias. I sacrificed my virtue, and the good
name I once had, the one hope of undying fame. Dido s actions are an extreme
example of how a person can sacrifice everything, even though she was the queen
and had many moral obligations to her people. Such values are condemned by
Data Analysis And Data Processes
Data Transformation are often very complex and is the most costly section of the
ETL process. Transformations are often achieved outside the database using flat files,
but mostly occurs within an Oracle database. The transform step applies rules or
functions to the extracted data. These rules or functions will decide on the analysis of
data and can involve transformations like the following:
Data Summations
Data Merging
Data Encoding
Data Splitting
Data Calculations
Creating Surrogate Keys
Data Aggregation
When transformed, the data is clean, accurate, consistent and ready for analysis by
the data warehouse users.
Data can be transformed in two ways:

Most of the tasks are completed outside the database, for example step 1 to 4 as

2.2.2 Cleansing Data
Data cleansing is the process of removing incorrect, inappropriate and duplicate
data. It can also be called data cleaning or data scrubbing. Not cleansing the data
will lead to inaccurate and unreliable results. During the process of cleansing data,
if dirty data is detected, it will have to be modified and will therefore cause delays
within the process. Dirty data can be caused by the following:
Members of an organization are poorly trained and will therefore enter data
erroneously.
Inaccurate system configuration rules are applied.
Regular data updates are neglected.
Inconsistent or lack of validation rules.
Duplicates are not removed.
Data cleansing can be performed within single or multiple sets of data. Usually
problems within single data sets are due to misspellings when entering data of that
they have left out missing information when inputting. When problems occur within
multiple data sets e.g. in a data warehouse, the need to cleanse data increases greatly.
This is because the data is more than likely to have redundant data from different
sources, and will therefore have to make sure all
The Impact Of Pierre Elliot Trudeau On Canada
Pierre Elliot Trudeau was the Prime Minister of Canada between 1968 79 and
between 1980 84. He was arguably one of the most controversial people in
Canadian history, and was widely known across the world. When Trudeau was
elected as Prime Minister, he became extremely popular due to his charismatic
personality, which was different compared to previous leaders. This sparked
Trudeaumania , the name given to his campaign due to his popularity among
Canadians. However, before he became Prime Minister, he reformed the laws in the
Criminal Code and liberalized certain laws on abortion and homosexuality while he

First of all, while he was Justice Minister, he reformed laws in the Criminal Code
for divorce, and liberalized homosexuality and abortion. This essentially allowed
homosexuals and other people to have more freedoms in Canadian society.
Moreover, the Official Languages Act made French Canadians feel as if they were
finally a part of Canada. This was because their language was widely available, and
Trudeau catered to them by making French an official Canadian Language.
Furthermore, the October Crisis proved to Canadian citizens that Trudeau was a
smart and strong leader. This was due to the fact that Trudeau was able to defuse the
situation without having more lives being lost. Also, he successfully stopped the
Quebec separatist movement, which would have been catastrophic to the rest of
Canada. Likewise, the Charter of Rights and Freedoms gave Canadians guaranteed
individual freedoms for the first time. It also enabled women and Aboriginals in
Canada to finally feel treated as equal people. Finally, Canada was finally able to
have access to their own Constitution after it was patriated from the British in 1982.
This allowed Canada to deal more effectively with language and other rights issues. It
also gave Canada a sense of nationalism, as they were truly independent from Britain.
Therefore, Pierre Elliott had an extremely significant impact on
The Impact Of Neuropsychology On The Christian Faith
The Christian faith is pluralistic, meaning, There [are] as many ways to love God
as there [are] Christian souls (Salzman, 2000, p.77). This reaches greater
complexity when considering the impact of neuropsychology on the Christian
faith. People experience God in a plethora of ways, but what about seemingly brain
induced experiences? Salzman (2000) describes the journey of Sister John, a nun at
the Carmelite convent in Los Angeles. She experiences headaches that develop into
deep spiritual episodes, which her doctor later informs her, are the symptoms of her
recurring seizures. Sister John has temporal lobe epilepsy and her doctor explains
that it, tend[s] to be more psychological (Salzman, 2000, p.68). Sister John s
spiritual episodes were presumably caused by her medical condition. So, were all of
her spiritual encounters with Goda lie? Was her faith a fabrication? The implication
of these questions can be quite troubling for the Christian faith. Is God simply a
manifestation created within our minds? Objects exist because they exist within the
realm of our senses. If we cannot trust our senses, then what truly exists outside of
ourselves? Sister John describes a memory of her being drawn into service at the
convent. She attended an early morning mass on Christmas Day when something
odd happened. If one looks closely, she describes experiences of depersonalization,
Instead of feeling trapped in a theater showing a bad movie, she saw herself as the
projector

Surveillance And Surveillance Throughout The Book,...
Surveillance is a continuous close observation of a person. Surveillance plays a
key part in the book, Villette by Charlotte Bronte. In Villette, Bronte is focusing on
a specific character, Lucy Snowe. Throughout the book Lucy is telling us about
her life story while surveillance appears throughout. The focus of this paper is on
how surveillance changes over the course of Lucy s life. Lucy s opinion of
surveillance changes over time because of her age, the people who come in and out
of her life, and when she realizes she is the one being watched by different characters.
In Villette, Lucy is telling us about her life story. Throughout the whole book we
can tell that Lucy is a different age at different parts of the book. Lucy s opinion of
surveillance changes as she is growing up. In the beginning, Lucy is a young
teenager living with her god mother, Mrs. Bretton. At this point in the story, Lucy s
opinion of surveillance is nonexistence, she really does not care about the what is
going on around her because at this point there is nothing big going on in her life. As
the story goes on, another young girlcomes into the Bretton house and Lucy is very
curious about who this little girl is, who she belongs to, and why she is coming to
stay at her god mother s house. Lucy comes to find out through surveillance that the
little girls name is Polly and she is coming to stay at the Bretton s house because her
father is ill and is traveling and she is too young to travel with her
Food And Eating Meals Together
Sharing food and eating meals together is an incredibly social human act as it can
often mark the beginning of various relationships. Relationships can often start by
offering food; parents and children have food intertwined in their relationships as
parents often first connect with their baby via holding and feeding them. Food
nurtures and helps relationships develop as well because eating and sharing food
indicates a level of comfort and intimacy between people. The needs surrounding
humans and food are complex just as social needs are; when intertwined, food acts
as a means to many ends and ultimately has a positive impact on social interaction
(Anderson 63, 68). In the two films Chocolat and Tampopo, it is evident that food
plays an important role in social interactions due to its key role in the formation,

Minimum Wage Research Paper
real versus nominal value of wages from 1930 2009. The income value is measured
using the relative average income that would be used to buy a commodity based on
the GDP per capita. Labor Value is measured using the relative wage a worker would
use to buy the commodity. This measure uses one of the wage indexes from
MeasuringWorth.com. From the above table, it explains that one time minimum wage
spike in 1968 does not reflect wagedeclines in 2017. Rather, the real value of money
today has more purchasing power than it did decades ago. If raising the nominal
value of minimum wage is effective in helping the poor, why should we confine the
minimum wage to only $15? Wouldn t that a $25, a $35, or a $40 be more sound to

It is evident that labor unions are the main driver of minimum wage growth. Their
real purpose is to increase their monopolistic power and collective bargaining by
increasing insiders wages to the detriment of outsiders, who consequently face
fewer job opportunities. Furthermore, the scale effects of minimum wage are
discussed in this paper. Since wages are the main component of marginal cost, and
prices are a markup over marginal cost, higher wage inflation leads to higher price
inflation. Although labor and capital are not perfect substitutes, large scale
automation is anticipated if labor cost keeps rising above market equilibrium.
Besides, research has shown that one of the main causes of income inequality is the
mandate of minimum wage, resulting many discouraged workers who decided to
leave the labor force permanently and subsisted on welfare due to their obsolete
skills. Lastly, one solution to the efficiency of minimum wage could be raising local
minimum wage based on regional CPIs instead of raising minimum wage in all cities
in the U.S at the same time. Another solution could be in making minimum wage
hikes in line with marginal productivity of labor. When output rises due to higher
productivity, a higher wage will be
Essay on Hollywood and the Vietnam War
Human history has been kept alive through a variety of mediums over the centuries.
Throughout much of time, stories were told verbally to younger generations while
written records and artifacts enhanced the story s authenticity. In the late 19th and
early 20th century, technology revolutionized story telling with the invention of the
video camera. Rather than hearing anecdotal stories about historic events, people
could now see images of events happening all over the world. In addition, motion
pictures were created to present fictional and non fictional stories for education and
entertainment. The United States, and specifically Hollywood, became the center of
the film industry world wide. The widespread social and political changes which...

After nearly fifteen years of troops committed to the conflict beginning in 1959 and
withdrawal in 1975, a number of films were made about Vietnam (Goldfield, 2014).
The Green Berets, the sole movie produced during the conflict, featured an image
presented by John Wayne consistent with the heroic battles in Europe during World
War II. Filmmakers emerged in greater numbers in the late 1970s and 1980s after
considering that rather than focusing on the perception of losing the war, there were
more important stories to tell about the conflict. Some of the notorious films about
the Vietnam War are Born on the Fourth of July, Platoon, Apocalypse Now, We Were
Soldiers, Rambo, Deer Hunter, Full Metal Jacket, and Hamburger Hill. Vast
differences between how and why the films were made and the background and
inspiration for the directors who made the film were apparent. Within each director
lay a unique interpretation of the conflict based on personal experience (Toplin,
1991). There were some films that attempted to counter the feeling that the U.S. had
lost the war and explored a hypothetical favorable American outcome in unifying
North and South Vietnam under democracy (Siskel, 1985). Movies like Full Metal
Jacket explored new concepts such as how the press presence in Vietnam influenced
public support for the war. Many of these films were popular because of their violent
imagery. Scenes depicting
A Career in Computer Aided Drafting Essay
According to Lucy Friend, Computer Aided Drafters make $79,000 a year on

for employment; I selected Computer Aided Drafting because it s so extraordinary
with AutoCAD, because of the uses of Computer Aided Drafting, History of CAD,
education requirements, and immeasurable career opportunities that are obtainable.
First off, CAD is computer technology that has contributed in design and drafting of
a portion or an artifact and frequently a complete structure as well. Computer aided
drafting software is identified as CAD. It is fascinating and intriguing software

The prehistoric technique of undertaking drafting application was on paper with a
pencil and it required an extensive amount of time. They used a drafting table with
rulers and templates to draw the most detailed view they could. Technology in
Computer Aided Design applications has transformed and evolved to have numerous
applications. For example; my dad used CAD in construction and remodeling.
Remodeling kitchens and bathrooms with CAD was an enormous necessity because
the customer received an enhanced 3 D detailed view. They also use CAD for
architectural structures, roads, aircraft, ships, cars, digital cameras, TVs, aerospace,
clothes, custom choppers, mobile phones, and even for landscaping. While history of
CAD starts out with a mathematician called Euclid from Alexandria in 350 B.C.
CAD groundwork is established on geometry with postulates and axioms. Drafting
took abundant of hours to draw and if we made a miscalculation we would have to
start all over. Next Sketchpad was invented in the 1960s by Ivan Sutherland.
Sketchpad was predominantly ground breaking CAD software because the architect

CAD software integrated such straightforwardness into its user interface. Sketchpad

Motor Vehicle Collisions
Motor Vehicle Collision Injury It is common to have injuries including bruises and
sore muscles after a motor vehicle collision. These injuries tend to feel worse for
the first 24 hours. You may have the most stiffness and soreness over the first
several hours. You may also feel worse when you wake up the first morning after
your collision. After, you will usually begin to improve with each day. How quickly
you improve often depends on the severity of the collision, how many injuries you

BANKRUPTCY This article is intended to provide some general bankruptcy
information and is certainly not intended to replace the tailored information a
debtor will receive from an attorney. Bankruptcy is governed by Federal Law (Title
11 of the US Code separated into individual Chapters, each dealing with a different
type of bankruptcy) but the bankruptcy laws of each state also play an important
part; consequently, though there are bankruptcy kits, you will probably need a
lawyer to successfully file and a lawyer search should focus on a bankruptcy

household goods and appliances, tools of your trade, books, a limited amount of

also, the court will not discharge certain types of debts such as student loans,
alimony, child support and some taxes. In addition, secured creditors have more

Causes Of Malaria In Africa
1.Why is malaria becoming more prevalent in Nairobi and in the Amazonian
Indian villages? (4 points) Malaria is becoming more prevalent in Nairobi and
Indian villages in the Amazon because the of the human changes to ecosystems. In
Kenya, malaria is spreading from the countryside to its major cities from citizens
making the move from rural to urban areas. This is occurring because rural areas
are becoming more polluted and less profitable for its inhabitants. These people
moving from rural areas bring with them malaria carrying mosquitos to the shanty
towns that surround the city. These shanty towns contain many gardens that
provide the perfect breeding ground for the infected mosquitos. The introduction
of these mosquitos into cities like Nairobi has drastically increased malaria
prevalence in Africa. In South America, the spread of malaria has been linked to
the rapid deforestation that is occurring in the Amazon. Scientist have studied
water samples throughout the malaria hot zones and have found mosquito larvae
only in waters that are located in deforested area. The shift in the ecosystem from
rainforest to clear cut cow pasture has allowed for better breeding condition for
mosquitos. These conditions in deforested areas have caused a massive up rise in
the number of malaria cases in the region. 2.What is the cause of diseases like
diarrhea and cholera? What can people do to reduce water borne diseases? (4 points)

The initial body weight of rats was similar (p value=0.19). At the end of the
experimental period, the HFFr+S rats had a near doubling of visceral fat weight,
compared to the control group (6.9В±1.1 g vs. 3.4В±0.4 g, p value=0.009), while it
was slightly and non significantly lower in the other groups, especially in the rats
gavaged with the high dose of metformin (200 mg/kg/day). After 60 days, no
significant differences were found between the groups regarding the final body
weight and liver/body weight percentage (Table 2). This suggests that the excess
energy intake of HFFr rats have led to a greater adiposity, but not to a higher body

A Prayer For Owen Meany Essay
During my junior year of high school, I read A Prayer for Owen Meany by John
Irving. Before then I had enjoyed reading, but it had never been more to me than a
source of entertainment, similar to watching TV. However, the ingenious,
miniscule symbols and nuances about the book forever changed the way I look at
literature. Throughout the book, Irving subtly compares Owen Meany (a tiny,
strange boy with an extremely high voice) to Jesus. At one point, he plays Jesus in
a Christmas pageant. His parents even believe (and try to convince him) that he
was a virgin birth, much like Jesus was according to the Bible. More subtly, his
friend John Wheelwright frequently uses the exclamation Jesus! but only when he
is talking to Owen, almost as though he is addressing him. Owen also plays the
Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come in a play, although he is just referred to as the
Ghost of the Future. Later on he has a vision of his own date of death. There are
countless other important and significant symbols in the book as well, ranging from
an armadillo to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Until I read Fight Club, most books had a very similar feel to read, so I never
understood why different people loved certain authors over others. However,
Palahniuk s writing was so distinctive and new to me that it perfectly illustrated the
significance of the author of a book. Fight Club is fast moving, disjointed, and
confusing. The text is seemingly randomly punctuated with obscure comments such
as I am Jack s complete lack of surprise. This method of writing mimics the frantic
sense of confusion that the reader endures before finally finding out that the narrator

There have been very few terrorist attacks in the United States, as opposed to some

In my opinion it appears that mental healing occurs over time, although people most
directly exposed to terrorist attacks are at a higher risk to develop PTSD.
Problems with anxiety, depression, and substance abuse are also commonly

A.From my point of view 20th century period is the best and the worst time to

refers to the culture of any country that is a part of the western world. The western
country is always democratic has neo liberal capitalist economy. Has a separation of
church and state, and high livings standards with materialistic society? The USA,
UK, France are examples of western countries. Western cultureis also a music type

The Development And Growth Of A Child Into Their Adult
Years
Throughout the decades, there have been many theorists that have contributed their
ideas and proposals, in regards to what they believe affects the development and
growth of a child into their adult years. Three of these successful theorists include:
Erik Erikson, Daniel Levinson, and George Herbert Mead. They each studied the
developmental stages throughout one s life in their own perspectives, each proposing
a new and revised theory.
Born in 1902, Erik Erikson was a psychologist best known for his study and theory
of psychosocial development and the concept of the identity crisis. He has published
a number of books on his theories and research, including Childhood and Society, The
Life Cycle Completed, and Gandhi s Truth. As a student... Show more content on

Mistrust . Therefore, depending on how the child is raised and treated throughout this
stage, determines whether the child learns to trust the world and his surroundings to
fulfill his needs. Erikson believed that although there are different challenges the
individual must successfully master at each stage, these issues overlap with the issues
of another level. This is because how one deals with the earlier challenges determines
how one will resolve later challenges, as there is a connection between present
patterns of thinking and feeling, and the earlier unresolved and/or resolved
development issues. Going back to the example with the child, if he/she does not
learn to trust in this stage, then trust will remain an unresolved issue throughout the
subsequent stages of development.
Erikson s theory is extremely important and significant in terms of understanding
the growth and development of an individual. His theory helps to explain the levels
of conflict that every individual must undergo, and the possibilities that may arise if
the individual in unsuccessful and does not overcome the challenges that he/she is
faced with. As stated in the example above, if the child did not learn to trust in the
first stage, it will affect him in all the following stages, as he/she will continue to
have a lack of trust in the world. Erikson s theory helps us to understand why some
people lack certain feelings or emotions, as we can now recognize that the

The Effect Of Measuring Device Measures On Students
From...
Introduction Our report focused on students from Texas A M Psychology class
where each was asked to rate their self esteem level. We have looked at two terms;
reliability and validity which were used in the Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale to help
assess individuals self esteem. According to the book Essentials of Statistics of
Behavioral Science by authors Frederick J. Gravetter and Larry B. Wallnau (2014)
they define reliability as how consistent a study or measuring device is. A
measurement is said to be reliable or consistent if the measurement can produce
similar results if used again in similar circumstances. Along with that they define
validity as an indication of whether the measuring device measures what it claims to.

Without reliability and validity it would be very difficult to decide which research
should be trusted and which should be completely disregarded. The main goal of
this report was to assess reliability and validity through the Rosenberg Self Esteem
Scale where participants rated their level of self esteem from 1 7. A 1 indicated
that they strongly disagree and a 7 indicating that they strongly agree with that
trait. Along with this we used Cronbachs alpha to indicate the consistency within
the scale. Method Participants at Texas A M University (N=33) were asked to
report their age, which ranged from 19 to 28years of age and their gender. Twenty
five of the participants were female while the remaining eight were males. The
average age of participants that was frequently reported was 20 years (SD=1.97).
A total of 10 items were recorded (Appendix A, Appendix B, Appendix C,
Appendix D, Appendix E, Appendix F, Appendix G, Appendix H, Appendix I,
Appendix J). Each student was asked to write which trait they felt related to how
they felt about themselves. For this section we used Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale,
where a 7 point Likert scale was used, a 1 indicated that they strongly disagree and
a 7 indicating that they strongly agree with that trait. Throughout this report there

Insight In Pangloss s Candide
Alejandro Munoz
ENG 20200
10/10/2014
Candide
The question for this essay is do I think Candide gained insight and why is that
relevant? To answer that question we must understand two things that are mentioned
throughout the whole story in a rather indirect way. The first thing we must define is
insight. People always talk about gaining insight but how many of them actually use
it the right way or even thinks about the fact that insight might mean something
different to other people? Well to me, insight is not the ability to gain knowledge
about something or someone, to me it is THE PROCESS of learning through
experiences of your own and other s. Insight is not just something you are told; the
way that Pangloss tells Candide throughout entire the story ...everything is for the
best in this world ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The fact that Pangloss made Candide believe this throughout the whole story
affected Candide s judgment and ability to gain actual insight. But we ll talk about
that later on. On the other hand, the second term that I believe must be clarified is
my definition or rather my view of Satire. What is that word and what does it
mean? Classmate NAME described insight in a manner that I would actually agree
to. He said that Satire is QUOTE. I believe that definition to be entirely true, the
only thing that I would add to it is that Satire doesn t just make fun of politics and
society, I would make it more specific and would argue that satire makes fun of
every controversial topic there is, from religion, to politics, to abortion, and even
death, in a cruel but kind of true way. This means in my mind that even though satire
is meant to be entertaining and comical, it is also intended to touch a soft spot on
our heads and realize that some of the things said are actually true. Anyways, now
that those to important terms are defined from my point of view, an answer can be
given. So did Candide gain insight? In
Last Grade Was A Tough Year For Me
Weekend at Reagan s
Sixth grade was a tough year for me. It was the year I decided I didn t want to go to
my mom s every other weekend, so I did whatever I could to get out of it. On one
particular weekend I asked my friend, Reagan, if I could go over to her house. She
said yes. Out of all my friends, Reagan was the only one as small as me. We had the
same sense of humor, but she was much more outgoing. She was easy to hang out
with, even if we weren t the closest. That Friday I packed my backpack with what I
thought I needed for the weekend: clothes, toothbrush and toothpaste, my phone
charger, and my hairbrush. Her mom picked us up after school and we went to her
brothers little league game. He was the shortstop. We cheered him on ... Show more

We laughed off our embarrassment and went back inside. Reagan s family used the
barn for storage, so we had to work our way around various items. We went to the far
left, there was a set of stairs for us to go up. There was a loft on top. I was too scared
to go in the room, so we just stayed on the stairs.
You know, Reagan started, a family used to live here, in this room.
Really?
Yeah, it was a mom and three kids. They were hiding from her husband. He was a
dangerous man.
There wasn t much to do inside the barn, so we went down to the pond. Her pond
consisted of mostly frogs.
I have an idea. Wait here, Reagan said before she ran back to her house.
She came back from the house with a plastic bowl with a lid. Let s catch some frogs.
Reagan did most of the catching. The frogs were tiny and and slippery. Most of the
frogs I caught jumped out of my hand. We tried catching the big frogs, but they
hopped away too fast. We kept the frogs, only to give them away the next week.
We spent a lot of the time climbing trees, we wanted to see who could get the
highest. Reagan was better at climbing. We looked for a way both of us could get
up there to sit in between a branch and the trunk. We resolved that I would go first,
since I was worse, and she would climb after me. We sat and looked out at the
pond, it looked smaller from where we were. It was getting late, so we went inside
for dinner. She made us Ramen noodles. I don t like Ramen noodles, but I
Essay On I Would Like To Visit
I would like to go to Italy. Italy is located in southern Europe. Its capital is called
Rome and it is one of the oldest cities in the world. Italy is a beautiful country
famous for its architecture and art. Many artists lived and created there, for
example Leonardo di Vinci and Michelangelo. It has a lot of museums and art
galleries. Italy is also famous for its delicious cuisine. Pizza and pasta are famous
all over the world. Italy has large vineyards and produces good quality wines. I also
want to go there because its weather is warm and the nature is really beautiful:
mountains, plains, islands and azure sea. My friends went there last summer for
holidays and enjoyed it a lot.

It is important to care about gardens and parks in order to keep them looking fresh
and green. They should be full of flowers and paths should be clean. It should be
strictly forbidden and punished to litter in parks. 4. What famous parks do you know?
4. One of the world famous parks are the Central Park in New York in United States.
5.Which is your favorite time of the day and why?
Which part of the day is your favorite one?
Why do you like this part of the day more than the others?
What are you usually doing then?
My favorite part of the day is late evening between 11pm and 1 am. It is time when
everyone else at my place is sleeping so the house is really quiet. Streets around are
empty and one can hear the sounds of nature. The weather after hot afternoon
becomes nice and cool. I usually sit in my room with my windows open and read a
book or listen to the music. Sometimes I work with my laptop when there is
something important to do or I chat with my friends. I can also sit in the garden
when it is not raining. I go to sleep late, because I don t feel sleepy before midnight.
And in the morning I wake up late.

The Psychosexual Stages Of Development
Psychosexual Stages of Development In the second essay of his Three Essays on
Sexuality (1905), Freud theorized that every child is born with innate sexual
impulses that develop as the child grows. He proposed stages of psychosexual
development that each child goes through until he or she reaches puberty. This
chapter investigates if these stages of development are in fact, universal and the
nature of their presence in the cultural society of Hindu India. According to Freud
(1905), the new born child s innate sexual impulses can only be observed in the
child once he reaches the age of three. He stated that the development of this
infantile sexuality took place in a periodic and oscillating manner after a brief
period of development, it is suppressed in a state of latency till the sexual
development takes over. Although he states that he does not know the reason for
this pattern, he also adds that it is during this period of latency that the aesthetic and
moral ideals develop which by feelings of disgust and shame restrict the flow of the
sexual instinct. These ideals develop inherently, even without any help from external
education. While the impulses are not ceased entirely during the period of latency,
their energy is diverted to other ends by the process of sublimation and results in the
development of the individual (ibid: 176). While the final outcome of the sexual
development is the pursuit of pleasure from a single, primary erotogenic source

Industry Description Of The Retailing Industry
Industry Description
Book retailing is an industry where companies sell books and other reading media,
including, audio books, e books and e readers. Some bookstores sell other products
including DVDs, stationery and gifts. Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWCS) world
network reports sales of sixty billion globally, including e books (Hoovers Inc, 2016).
Most Book retailers operate from storefronts, although some bookstores also operate
online. Barnes Noble US, Fnac France, Page One China, Thalia Germany, and WH
Smith UK are prominent companies in this industry. (Hoovers Inc, 2016). According
to Yee, (n.d.). Dymocks is the largest bookstore chain in Australia; others include

Over the five year period until 2015 6, there was an annual decline in revenue of
10.6% (ibisworld, 2016). Numerous challenges have beset the industry, such as,
lower book prices, strong competition from online retailers and a change in
popularity from printed books to e books (ibisworld, 2016). Other issues that have a
significant effect on bookstores are parallel import restrictions (IBISWorld, 2016),
and online retailers being advantaged by low freight charges and often no
requirement to pay (GST) Goods and Services Tax (ABC, 2016).
Encouraging Signs
However, there are encouraging signs according to Williams, (2015) who points to
the icon of bookstores Dymocks, which claims to have had its best ever sales year.
Sydney book retailer Jon Page noted an upward surge in sales in the final quarter
leading up to Christmas, a period that accounts for around 70% of annual sales
(Han, 2015). According to the Nielsen book scan data, there were 55.4 million in
sales of printed books in Australia last year, a 2.2% increase over the previous year,
the first sales increase since 2009. (Han, 2015).
Some of the downturns in printed book sales may be as a result of economic
conditions which have affected all retailers. According to Page, (n.d.) the global
financial crisis has dramatically changed retailing regardless of your product (Han,
2015).The chief executive of the Australian Booksellers Association, Joel Becker
commented, the

Outsider Essay

  • 1. Outsider Essay Crafting an essay on the theme of "Outsider" can be a challenging endeavor, as it requires a nuanced exploration of the concept from various angles. The difficulty lies in striking a balance between personal interpretation and broader societal perspectives. The term "outsider" is multifaceted, encompassing themes of alienation, marginalization, and the struggle for acceptance. To create a compelling essay, one must delve into the psychological and emotional aspects of feeling like an outsider. This involves drawing on personal experiences or those of others, weaving together narratives that resonate with readers. However, striking the right chord between introspection and relatability can be a delicate task. Moreover, delving into the societal dimensions of being an outsider demands a thorough examination of historical, cultural, and socio-economic contexts. It requires a critical analysis of how certain groups or individuals are marginalized and the impact of such exclusion on both individuals and society as a whole. The challenge intensifies when attempting to avoid clichГ©s and stereotypes associated with the outsider narrative. Crafting an original perspective that goes beyond the conventional understanding of the theme requires thoughtful consideration and a unique approach. In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Outsider" demands a delicate balance between personal reflections and broader societal implications. It requires a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding the concept, both on an individual and collective level. Despite the challenges, successfully navigating this intricate terrain can result in a thought-provoking and impactful essay. Google also has many services that helps you send mail, generate website pages, and create blogs. With all of these great tools come many great, user friendly features specifically tied to Google. Google has vastly become one of the best search engines in the world, if not the best. Googleaverages about 12 billion searches per month, which is the most by any search engine in the world. Users can also search for photos, newsletters, and even geographic locations. The best part is, that all of these services are basically free. Google has also set to build more then just a search engine. Google is working on Google glass, self driving cars, and even have a cell phone called the Android. Google also owns the rights to YouTube, where many users go to upload and watch countless videos. Another great thing the company is doing is spending money on alternative energy sources; last year Google spent 1 billion dollars trying to increase the use of wind and solar energy. Google is also fighting in D.C. to keep the Internet free for Americans. Lastly, Google has one of the best working environments in the world. Google has been the number 1 best company to work for 5 times in a row, including this year. They have been reported to the best human resources department in the world, taking their employee s happiness over profit. There is no doubt in anyone s mind that Google is not the best company to work
  • 3. The Central And Peripheral B Cell Tolerance Name :Amol Chaudhari CSU I.D 2571148 Checkpoints for the central and peripheral B cell tolerance Introduction : B lymphocytes are the effectors of humoral immunity and provides defense against pathogens by producing antibody. B cells constitute approximately 15% of peripheral blood leukocytes and arise from progenitors and precursors in the bone marrow. B lymphocytes undergo random immunoglobulin variable gene rearrangements at the heavy and light chain loci. These chains pair with the IgО± and IgОІ polypeptides to form the mature B cell receptor which is then transported onto the cell surface where it can bind antigen and signal inside the cell. Different populations of B cells result in pre immune pools where each cell in these quiescent populations expresses a B cell antigen receptor with a unique specificity. The BCRs come in contact with their specific antigen and generate several intracellular signals are which leads activation, differentiation, and formation of plasma cells and memory B cells. This process mediates the response to subsequent antigen challenges. B lymphocytes play an essential role by not only producing antibodies but also functioning as antigen presenting cells and certain B cells can also negatively regulate the immune response by producing regulatory cytokines and directly interacting with pathogenic T cells via cell to cell contact. Newly generated immature B cells are selected to enter the peripheral mature B cell pool only if they do not
  • 4. Magazines Are Becoming More Neglected Essay One of the main abilities to satisfy people with products or services is through advertising. Believe it or not, you probably won t find many advertising as much as you would find in a magazine. Unfortunately, magazines are becoming more neglected. You don t see many people reading magazines because of the high technology access we have today. Though magazines could still be mailed to you through subscription with the company, advertisingcould be found online. Advertising could either be found through social media, subscriptions from the company (if you have any) on your email, maybe even from a text message from families or friends, and such. Well, Men s Health magazine is one of them. Not only this magazine advertises, but also it s almost like a support system for men as well. Perhaps an outlet to get away from the daily life. Men s Health magazine is a lifestyle magazine for men, specifically for men who are the ages 18 and up (adults). Being the world s largest men s magazine brandwith 40 editions in 47 countries, Men s Health magazine helps its audience with advice on good health and/or hygiene, being distracted from their daily lives, and being entertained all at once. While reading Men s Health, you re going to notice that half of the magazine is filled with advertisements. When there s an article on one side, there s an ad on the other, and vice versa. Men s Health magazine target audience is not only adult men, but men who want to achieve a good body and who
  • 5. Pollution In Community Pollution Las Vegas, Nevada and the surrounding Clark County ranks in the 90 100th percentile for the dirtiest/worst counties in the U.S. in terms of pollution from Carbon Monoxide emissions, Nitrogen Oxide emissions, PM 2.5 emissions, PM 10 emissions, and Sulfur Dioxide emissions (Scorecard, 2011b). These same pollutants are known to cause cytotoxic and functional damages to human airways through oxidative stress and inflammation; which are linked to respiratory diseases in children (Ferrante, Antona, Malizia, Montalbano, La Grutta, 2016). Currently, Clark County is home to 29,146 children with asthma and 130,553 adults with asthma; that s 7.55% of the population of 2,114,801 (American Lung Association, 2017). There seems to be a correlation between the high levels of pollution in Clark County and the high numbers of people with asthma that is impacting the community s quality of life in terms of health and the economy, and it is having an adverse effect on the environment as well. Body: Clark County scores badly in the air quality category of tests from different organizations. For instance, the American Lung Association (ALA) uses readings from the Environmental Protection Agency s Air Quality System (AQS) for a period of three years and derives a weighted average; the ALA then assigns a grade associated with this average to counties in the U.S. (American Lung Association, 2017b). By ALA standards, a county with a weighted average of a 3.3 or higher fails. Clark County failed
  • 6. Francisco Goya May 3 1808 Francisco Goya s The Executions of May 3, 1808, is a remarkably interesting piece of art. This piece represents a protest against the Napoleon Occupational Army in Madrid. There are various visual elements and design principles in the art, which will be covered. The beginning of this ILO will contain the visual elements first, followed by the design principles, and what they mean in the artwork. In Goya s art, we can see the primary, visual element of lines. Lines represent motion, dynamics, and direction. The soldiers are aiming their rifles at a group of prisoners waiting for execution. Horizontal lines indicate a peaceful scene, however, in this case, it would be appropriate to say they mean a sense of destruction or death, as the title of the art depicts. As the view follows the direction of the lines, the viewer is immediately drawn to the man with the bright white shirt. The values of the piece are relatively dark and morbid, however, when we look at the man with the white shirt, we can see the opposite effect of the bright white shirt. Going back to the element of lines, once the viewer looks at the man with the white shirt, you can see his hands are in a diagonal position. These diagonal lines represent dynamics and tension. This uneven, yet balanced proportion of the art tells the viewer that it is asymmetrical. It is asymmetrical because it is unequally distributed, yet it is still
  • 7. Chocolat Noir Layered Sauce The two properties of food embodied in our chosen recipe, Chocolat Noir Layered Cake with Raspberry Sauce, include the properties of aeration and coagulation, evident in both the preparation and cooking process of our recipe. Aeration is the accumulation of air into a food product via multiple preparation techniques. The incorporation of air into a food product can be applied through biological, chemical, mechanical, or physical processes. Aeration can be biologically acquired with the addition of yeast, causing carbon dioxide to be released when the yeast breaks down the sugars in the product. The gas is entrapped in the gluten structure, which then expands the product. Chemical aeration involves the formation of gas (Co2) from chemicals such as baking powder, expanding the gluten network of the product when heated, to increase the volume of the product. Mechanical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We mechanically aerate the mix by whisking, utilising the hand mixer set on the aeration level. This is to ensure we are creating volume and making the cake mixture light and fluffy. Agitation via whisking in our recipe creates air cells within the mixture, making our cake easier to digest, mixing the ingredients together evenly, and creating a delicate texture ideal for a catering event. The beaten egg during the whisking process contributes body to the mixture, the binding nature of the egg surrounding and sealing the air in the mixture before baking. In addition, we also encounter chemical aeration in our recipe with the inclusion of baking powder in our batter. The baking powder (a leavening agent) combines powdered alkali with powdered acid, which when moistened with the addition of water in the mixture, chemically reacts to release carbon dioxide into the mixture, further aerating the

All the side effects shown and more have been proven with multiple researches and experiments throughout the years that support the claim; relationships can affect different aspects of a person s life. In the magazine article, The Power of Love published by Time in 2016 and written by Sue Johnson, she explains that the quality of a relationship can have its health perks, but also it can be a peril in its absence. The disturbing truth is that an epidemic of depression is increasing steadily in this society. The rise in isolation and social disorder is so demanding on the human body it warrants a patient to doctor appointment (Johnson, 2016, p.10). This is because of the rise in technology, leading to the isolation a person might feel in life. This article is based on an experiment that was taken place to prove whether others could perceive a narcissistic individual as a narcissist through observing their social media sites. This experiment was a correlational type of study. The experimenters goal was to analyze whether there was any correlation or connection between the web page owner being a narcissist and the type of content they had on their profile. With this type of study, the variables are not as familiar as they might be when it comes to other experiments. The independent variable, or as referenced in this article, the predictor variable, was the web pages owners measured narcissism. • 16. The Aeneid by Virgil The perception of morality is very subjective and relates heavily to what the society of the period defines as good or bad. In the Aenied, Vergil creates two characters with morally opposite values; Aenias and Dido. Aenias can be interpreted as the embodiment of what Vergil believes is right, while Dido is the embodiment of what Vergil believes to be bad. The contrast of Dido s and Aeneas behavior represents the fact that Vergil s moral values are heavily influenced by the moral values which the romans upheld, as we can see in the character Aeneas which shows many values that was heavily emphasized by the policy that Augustus enforced during Vergil s time, and the character Dido which shows the opposite values that was deemed good during that period. One of the values that was enforced during Vergil s time by Augustus was patriotism, which in the Aeniad s context is prioritizing between personal satisfaction, or the greater good. In book 4 of the Aeneid, the character Aenias and Dido represents the two opposing values, in which Aenias represents the greater good, while Dido represents the personal satisfaction. For example, Dido was willing to sacrifice her honor and the respect of her people for Aenias. I sacrificed my virtue, and the good name I once had, the one hope of undying fame. Dido s actions are an extreme example of how a person can sacrifice everything, even though she was the queen and had many moral obligations to her people. Such values are condemned by

This essentially allowed homosexuals and other people to have more freedoms in Canadian society. Moreover, the Official Languages Act made French Canadians feel as if they were finally a part of Canada. This was because their language was widely available, and Trudeau catered to them by making French an official Canadian Language. Furthermore, the October Crisis proved to Canadian citizens that Trudeau was a smart and strong leader. This was due to the fact that Trudeau was able to defuse the situation without having more lives being lost. Also, he successfully stopped the Quebec separatist movement, which would have been catastrophic to the rest of Canada. The implication of these questions can be quite troubling for the Christian faith. Is God simply a manifestation created within our minds? Sister John describes a memory of her being drawn into service at the convent. She attended an early morning mass on Christmas Day when something odd happened. Since wages are the main component of marginal cost, and prices are a markup over marginal cost, higher wage inflation leads to higher price inflation. Although labor and capital are not perfect substitutes, large scale automation is anticipated if labor cost keeps rising above market equilibrium. Besides, research has shown that one of the main causes of income inequality is the mandate of minimum wage, resulting many discouraged workers who decided to leave the labor force permanently and subsisted on welfare due to their obsolete skills. The debtor is allowed to keep certain exempt property, which varies from state to state but usually includes Social Security payments, unemployment compensation, household goods and appliances, tools of your trade, books, a limited amount of equity in your home, and a limited amount of equity in a car or truck. The debtor must surrender all non exempt property to a court appointed trustee who liquidates that non exempt property and distributes the proceeds to creditors. When the process is complete, the debts are discharged in bankruptcy. In order to use Chapter 7, a debtor must pass a means test to see whether he/she is eligible; if the debtor fails the mean test, his/her case will be dismissed and/or may have to convert to a Chapter 13 bankruptcy case. While the ideal of Chapter 7 is complete debt relief, there are exceptions: if a debtor is found to have concealed some financial information and/or records, the court will not grant a discharge of debt; also, the court will not discharge certain types of debts such as student loans, alimony, child support and some taxes. In addition, secured creditors have more protection than unsecured creditors; for example, a creditor with a secured interest in the debtor s car can repossess the car even if the debt is discharged, unless the debtor reaffirms the debt or surrenders the car. The debt relief provided by Chapter 7 Bankruptcy has significant consequences and can be granted only once every 8 years, so filing

  • 31. Causes Of Malaria In Africa 1.Why is malaria becoming more prevalent in Nairobi and in the Amazonian Indian villages? (4 points) Malaria is becoming more prevalent in Nairobi and Indian villages in the Amazon because the of the human changes to ecosystems. In Kenya, malaria is spreading from the countryside to its major cities from citizens making the move from rural to urban areas. This is occurring because rural areas are becoming more polluted and less profitable for its inhabitants. These people moving from rural areas bring with them malaria carrying mosquitos to the shanty towns that surround the city. These shanty towns contain many gardens that provide the perfect breeding ground for the infected mosquitos. The introduction of these mosquitos into cities like Nairobi has drastically increased malaria prevalence in Africa. In South America, the spread of malaria has been linked to the rapid deforestation that is occurring in the Amazon. Scientist have studied water samples throughout the malaria hot zones and have found mosquito larvae only in waters that are located in deforested area. The shift in the ecosystem from rainforest to clear cut cow pasture has allowed for better breeding condition for mosquitos. These conditions in deforested areas have caused a massive up rise in the number of malaria cases in the region. 2.What is the cause of diseases like diarrhea and cholera? Before then I had enjoyed reading, but it had never been more to me than a source of entertainment, similar to watching TV. However, the ingenious, miniscule symbols and nuances about the book forever changed the way I look at literature. Throughout the book, Irving subtly compares Owen Meany (a tiny, strange boy with an extremely high voice) to Jesus. At one point, he plays Jesus in a Christmas pageant. His parents even believe (and try to convince him) that he was a virgin birth, much like Jesus was according to the Bible. More subtly, his friend John Wheelwright frequently uses the exclamation Jesus! but only when he is talking to Owen, almost as though he is addressing him. Owen also plays the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come in a play, although he is just referred to as the Ghost of the Future. Later on he has a vision of his own date of death. The Development And Growth Of A Child Into Their Adult Years Throughout the decades, there have been many theorists that have contributed their ideas and proposals, in regards to what they believe affects the development and growth of a child into their adult years. Three of these successful theorists include: Erik Erikson, Daniel Levinson, and George Herbert Mead. They each studied the developmental stages throughout one s life in their own perspectives, each proposing a new and revised theory. Born in 1902, Erik Erikson was a psychologist best known for his study and theory of psychosocial development and the concept of the identity crisis. Therefore, depending on how the child is raised and treated throughout this stage, determines whether the child learns to trust the world and his surroundings to fulfill his needs. Erikson believed that although there are different challenges the individual must successfully master at each stage, these issues overlap with the issues of another level. This is because how one deals with the earlier challenges determines how one will resolve later challenges, as there is a connection between present patterns of thinking and feeling, and the earlier unresolved and/or resolved development issues. Going back to the example with the child, if he/she does not learn to trust in this stage, then trust will remain an unresolved issue throughout the subsequent stages of development. Erikson s theory is extremely important and significant in terms of understanding the growth and development of an individual. His theory helps to explain the levels of conflict that every individual must undergo, and the possibilities that may arise if the individual in unsuccessful and does not overcome the challenges that he/she is faced with. As stated in the example above, if the child did not learn to trust in the first stage, it will affect him in all the following stages, as he/she will continue to have a lack of trust in the world. To answer that question we must understand two things that are mentioned throughout the whole story in a rather indirect way. The first thing we must define is insight. People always talk about gaining insight but how many of them actually use it the right way or even thinks about the fact that insight might mean something different to other people? Well to me, insight is not the ability to gain knowledge about something or someone, to me it is THE PROCESS of learning through experiences of your own and other s. Classmate NAME described insight in a manner that I would actually agree to. He said that Satire is QUOTE. I believe that definition to be entirely true, the only thing that I would add to it is that Satire doesn t just make fun of politics and society, I would make it more specific and would argue that satire makes fun of every controversial topic there is, from religion, to politics, to abortion, and even death, in a cruel but kind of true way. This means in my mind that even though satire is meant to be entertaining and comical, it is also intended to touch a soft spot on our heads and realize that some of the things said are actually true. Anyways, now that those to important terms are defined from my point of view, an answer can be given. So did Candide gain insight? In

The Psychosexual Stages Of Development Psychosexual Stages of Development In the second essay of his Three Essays on Sexuality (1905), Freud theorized that every child is born with innate sexual impulses that develop as the child grows. He proposed stages of psychosexual development that each child goes through until he or she reaches puberty. This chapter investigates if these stages of development are in fact, universal and the nature of their presence in the cultural society of Hindu India. According to Freud (1905), the new born child s innate sexual impulses can only be observed in the child once he reaches the age of three. He stated that the development of this infantile sexuality took place in a periodic and oscillating manner after a brief period of development, it is suppressed in a state of latency till the sexual development takes over. Although he states that he does not know the reason for this pattern, he also adds that it is during this period of latency that the aesthetic and moral ideals develop which by feelings of disgust and shame restrict the flow of the sexual instinct. These ideals develop inherently, even without any help from external education. While the impulses are not ceased entirely during the period of latency, their energy is diverted to other ends by the process of sublimation and results in the development of the individual (ibid: 176).
