A Interview At An Interview
Shortly after the submission of my application, I received an email inviting me to
the interview that would be conducted in company s office in London. Overall, in
my opinion, I did my best in terms of the preparation. I researched the company s
history, read about its most popular products and familiarized myself with the recent
industry and company s news (Burke and Thurgood 2007). A week prior to the
interviewdate I attended an interview preparation session organized by the Careers
Office which, as noted by Spears (1979), was supposed to help me feel more

Turning attention to the actual interview, it was conducted face to face on

good eye contact. Armstrong (2012) indicates that such behaviour helps to
establish the good rapport with the applicant and it was certainly true in my case. It
was a structured employment interview as I was asked a set of prepared questions
(Levashina et al. 2014) that explored if I possessed skills and competencies required
for the job position. As the interviewer followed the script, it led to the consistency in
information received, implying more accurate selection decision (Garcia et al. 2008).

Often, when hearing of the United States of America , a few phrases like the land
of the free or land of opportunities are brought to mind. We are told that the US is a
land in which everyone has the equal chance of becoming who he or she aspires to

an analogy to address a realistic picture of the American Dream, where people of
the elite class have a higher chance of achieving and building upon their success;
where as the people of working class have a harder time in doing so. Because of the
large economic and financial disparity between the elite and the working class, the
American Dream will never be achieved by the poor because the rich have things

The film Thank you for Smoking is a dark comedy where the primary protagonist,
Nick Naylor is a lobbyist. He talks for the cigarette industry and will not extra the
American Authorities or even the press. At the in advance, the film prominently
tackles all these topics but deep down it also portrays the partnership between a dad
and a son.
Rhetorical and arguments analysis
In a single conversation between a father and a son, Naylor coaches his son Joey by
telling him the beauty of argument: if you argue correctly, you re never wrong . This
depicts a framework of Nick s personality and probably explains the reason why as to
the reasons he will not lose quarrels. It is because he reframes the discussion till he
