place where passengers are
exchanged between vehicles

more unemployed,
students, and housewives
in nearby areas living in
this area.

on the rail network, inhabitant

Along line B there are 308 trips per day in each
direction of travel (121 of which for branch B1) with
the exception of Saturdays and holidays. The
scheduled frequency during peak hours is a train
every 3 minutes on the common section and 4'30
"and 9 'in the branches;

WHY DO WE NEED OPTIMIZATION
FOR THIS PLACE?
The need of wait for the desired
route, on this site there is no
necessary comfortable transition from
the metro station to bus stops, as well
as to waiting points.
The multi-level parking, which does
not allow to accommodate the
existing load, which entails a chaotic
parking of cars and this overloads
the road network.

WHY DO I THINK THAT TRANSPORT HUB IS A
GOOD IDEA FOR THIS PLACE?

MICRO-MODELING - CURRENT SCENARIO
The Microsimulation shows:
❖Analysis result of the study the initial data, the survey of the road traffic situation and the
simulation results at the local level, allows us to conclude that at present the road
network in the intersection Via di Valle Melaina, Via delle Isole Curzolane and Via
Giovanni Conti during peak periods has a low level of service LOS-E

CONCLUCION
By this project research there are a few main aspects related to benefits
of urbanistic, sustainability and safety which allow us to conclude that:
1.The project design of the Parking buildings gives an idea to improve
traffic flow of the city and nearby territory.
2.The New Bicycle path and pedestrian reorganization increase the public
space for safety emergency of COVID-19.
3.The New Transport Public route with mini-ecobuses is development of
sustainability as for TH as for city itself.
4.The Model shows a positive result by reducing the travel time,
accordingly the emissions CO2(carbon dioxide) as well.

  • 3. 3 Project Concept Transport Hub (interchange) A Transport Hub (also transport interchange) is a place where passengers are exchanged between vehicles or modes of transport. For private transport, the parking lot functions as a hub.
  • 4. 4 TRAFFIC COMFORT TIME SPACE Advantages of Transport hub EASY NAVIGATI ON COMFORTA BLE TRANSFER AREA ACCESSIBILITY FOR PASSENGERS, INCLUDING PEOPLE WITH LIMITED MOBILITY SEPARATION OF PEDESTRIAN AND TRAFFIC FLOWS REDUCING TRANSFER TIME FROM ONE MODE OF TRANSPORT TO ANOTHER LANDSCAPED AREA TRANSPORT HUB THE ROME TRANSPORTATION NETWORK USES: 1. Railway 2. Metro 3. Bus and minibus 4. Tram 5. Taxi 6. Transport Sharing
  • 6. 6 CURRENT SITUATION ANALYSIS Based on the data obtained from the maps in Figure 3, there are more unemployed, students, and housewives in nearby areas living in this area. The number of stops ("stops") made every minute by bus and tram in each urban zone, 6-15 min respectively The share of the population served by at least one station on the rail network, inhabitant at a walkable distance in less than ten minutes, 16-35 respectively

  • 8. 8 WHY DO WE NEED OPTIMIZATION FOR THIS PLACE? The need of wait for the desired route, on this site there is no necessary comfortable transition from the metro station to bus stops, as well as to waiting points. The multi-level parking, which does not allow to accommodate the existing load, which entails a chaotic parking of cars and this overloads the road network.
  • 9. 9 WHY DO I THINK THAT TRANSPORT HUB IS A GOOD IDEA FOR THIS PLACE? Competent redistribution of public transport flows will provide unhindered passenger service, and increase capacity Implementation of new ideas for optimization urban public space for COVID-19 emergency.

  • 17. 17 MICRO-MODELING - CURRENT SCENARIO The Microsimulation shows: ❖Analysis result of the study the initial data, the survey of the road traffic situation and the simulation results at the local level, allows us to conclude that at present the road network in the intersection Via di Valle Melaina, Via delle Isole Curzolane and Via Giovanni Conti during peak periods has a low level of service LOS-E

  • 28. 28 CONCLUCION By this project research there are a few main aspects related to benefits of urbanistic, sustainability and safety which allow us to conclude that: 1.The project design of the Parking buildings gives an idea to improve traffic flow of the city and nearby territory. 2.The New Bicycle path and pedestrian reorganization increase the public space for safety emergency of COVID-19. 3.The New Transport Public route with mini-ecobuses is development of sustainability as for TH as for city itself. 4.The Model shows a positive result by reducing the travel time, accordingly the emissions CO2(carbon dioxide) as well.
