Formal/Non Formal Education: developed & implemented formal education interventions to
reform the teacher education and general education system in Pakistan specificallyProvince Punjab.
The reforms introduced include; Teacher education curriculum review and development,
practicum, teachers’ standards, programs accreditation, teachers licensing body, Skills based
teachers’ training for secondary school science teachers of KPK, study non formal basic education
in underperforming districts of Punjab and make recommendations.
Educational Planning: Supported in planning the secondary school science teachers’ training
program one of its kind in province KPK Pakistan, Supported the public sector school education
system to develop the public policy for education, designing, planning, piloting and implementing
the new teacher education degree program in all (9) public sector Universities and (33) colleges
across province Punjab Pakistan. Effectively conducted follow up of the strategic plans of the 9
Public sector Universities through participatory assessment process. Supported in developing,
introducing, improving, implementing and following up the Institution development plan in 20
teacher training institutes across the province Punjab. Effectively planned, and arranged capacity
enhancement activities for planners and managers at all tiers of government and nongovernment
educational organizations, leading to effective strategies and practices to accelerate gender parity
and equality in education.

Assessment in Education: Contributed in developing training module on assessment for teacher
educators and teachers sponsored by EDC/Pre-STEP (2010). Trained a team of 23 master trainers
of DSD-SED, Govt. of the Punjab (2010), on Blooms’ taxonomy based assessment. Conducted
training for over 400 teaching faculty from 9 public sector Universities and 20 GCETs in Punjab
(2010-2013)on assessment. Developed assessment material for student teachers of B.Ed. program
sponsored by CIDA/CP-BEP (2007-2008). Selected as one of three members of the pioneer
committee established by Govt. of the Punjab to work on developing test items, based on SOLO
taxonomy for primary level (2005). Lead trainer for training master trainers on SOLO taxonomy
(2005-2006). Contributed in development and conduct of teachers’ assessment by SED-Govt. of
the Punjab (2000). Developed mock tests for various private schools on O’LEVEL Chemistry and
Biology (1999-2006).
CAPACITY BUILDING
Designing the subject based and capacity development material:
Technical advisor for material development on Chemistry and Biology for Secondary school
Science Teachers under Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Sector Program-KESP sponsored by
DFID (Dec 2015-Jul 2016). Author Mathematics textbooks grade 2 and 3 being published by
Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board PCTB and sponsored by DFID (2016-17). Contributed to
the designing, piloting and improving the professional development training modules for teacher
educators, student teachers and school teachers under the USAID-Teacher Education
Project(2009-2013), Materials Development Specialist (Science, Math) for "EQuiPP" (Educational
Quiz Preparatory Pack), a support material for B.Ed. students of Punjab, sponsored by CIDA/CP-
BEP Canada Pakistan-Basic Education Project (2007-2008). Consultant on Professional Practice
Manual (Practicum Guides for University faculty, College teachers, School teachers and B.Ed.
students) development by CP-BEP (2006-2007).
Development Plan: Successfully undertaken needs assessment and facilitating capacity
development plans for secondary school science teachers in KPK (2015-16). Successfully
undertaken capacity-enhancement, needs assessment and facilitating capacity development plans
and activities for the teacher educators across province Punjab (2009-2014). Developed and
implemented an integrated follow up plan for around 400 teacher educators across province
Punjab.
Training Skills: Designed, developed and conducted hundreds of training sessions for public
sector and private sector teachers range from primary to post graduate level. Built initial program
of workshops and developed a highly visible and well-respected resource for the desired audience.
Delivered professional development sessions for the teacher educators from 35 Universities and
colleges and set commendable standards for the training events. Designed and delivered needs
based training sessions on mentoring and feedback. Designed and delivered capacity building
programs for in-service teachers under DSD (Directorate of Staff Development Punjab-the apex
body for public sector teachers in Punjab) initiatives.
Resource Mobilization: Identified, interviewed, recruited, and hired top material development
specialists, trainers and instructors for specific provincial level and local workshops for teachers,
teacher educators and educational managers in provinces Punjab and KPK.
ToTs-Training of trainers: Identified, selected on merit and successfully trained 37 master
trainers for conducting training for science teachers in KPK, Identified, selected and successfully
trained 43 master trainers from the Universities and DSD on a series of professional development
modules on pedagogy, alternate assessment, developing mentoring skills, materials development
