Garima Garg is a graduate student studying Statistics and Applied Mathematics at UC Santa Cruz. She has a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology. Her areas of interest include statistics, machine learning, data science, and data visualization. She has work experience as a teaching assistant, research assistant, and software engineer/analyst. Some of her projects include predictive modeling of prostate cancer, disease prediction using neuroimaging data, and Bayesian regression models applied to HIV and life expectancy datasets.
