     Competencie

Plant Operations: Modifying the machines and managing the total Power Plant Operation to
increase its efficiency. Conducting inspection tests for determining the effectiveness of the
equipments / plants considering the safety standards. Overseeing the Total Water Management
inclusive of the recycling for designing the systems for meeting pollution norms. Advance planning
of procurement functions, involving cost estimation, contract negotiations & finalization for
purchase of all raw materials and capital goods. Handling the equipments such as Gas Turbine,
Waste Heat Recovery Boiler, switch yard, boilers, chillers, Compressor, Utilities and HT/LT
Panel Operations.

Project Management: Supervising projects implementation of Water / Sewage / Effluent
Treatment Plant, evaluating project progress & taking adequate corrective actions. Maintaining
HVAC, Pollution Equipments new projects. Conducting erection, commissioning of process
improvement projects numerous plants for ensuring the completion of projects within stipulated
time /cost parameters. Handling the Green field projects from scratch such as lay out freezing,
technology transfer from main collaborators (Japanese SMC). Coordinated with consultants,
vendors for transferring technology as per requirement and interacted with the contractors for
completing Civil /Mechanical /Electrical projects as per the drawings. Possessing proficient

Maintenance & Operations: Planning and effecting preventive maintenance schedules of utilities
equipments at regular intervals to increase machine up time and equipment reliability. Handling
the maintenance of Generator both Gas turbine and DG sets, Boilers, Chillers, LPG system.
Implementing TQM and analytical approach in trouble shooting equipments in the shop floor.
Effectuating cost /energy /power /water/utilities saving techniques /measures for reducing the
maintenance expenditures. Initiating the troubleshooting, process modification using civil,
mechanical and electrical drawings. Successfully streamlining the process for optimising the
resource consumption, budget preparation and monitoring the unit cost / consumption calculation
for better control.

Erection & Commissioning: Erection & commissioning of utilities for shop floors and offices to
ensure operational effectiveness of plant. Conducting erection of new projects as per prescribed
regulatory authorities to meet the applicable norms. Streamlining the erection, testing and pre-
commissioning of equipments.

Techno - Commercial Operations: Ensuring quoting tenders and following - up of the prepared
quotations. Taking care of all the tender works from offer to payment. Evaluating vendors and
releasing of tenders for new projects, ensuring identification of suitable party as per
specifications. Coordinating with the technical team for tender document preparation, leading a
team of Engineers for completion of jobs within time and budget frames.

Spare Part Management: Designing and monitoring effective procurement schedules along with
finalizing specifications of the spare parts. Managing indigenization of the spare parts and planning
of inventory of Spare Parts, Consumables, Process Reengineering, etc. Improving process and
system for minimization of energy, spares and raw materials. Maintaining MIS reporting for
monitoring the day to day performance. Effecting zero based stores inventory and hence reduction
in spares inventory. Implementation of Standardisation across plants, minimising number of vendors
and localisation of spare parts to reduce inventory cost.

Quality Assurance: Maintaining the relevant documents, training people for equipment and process
knowledge. Implementing Quality and Audit Systems such as ISO9000, ISO14000, TQM, TPM, etc.
Executing Japanese Management Techniques at the shop floor for better productivity like Kaizen,
3G, 5 S, Kanban, etc. Identifying areas of quality and taking steps to correct & prevent the
occurrence. Practicing quality standards with key emphasis on improving quality.

Finance and Budgeting:- Actively involved in MCC reduction, Inventory and working capital
management along with cost savings with localisation of imported spares. Active member of CFT to
reduce indirect costs through efficiency optimisation and process innovation.

Man Management:
  -     IR - Actively involved in LTS with workers at Cadbury Bangalore. Able to finalise the
  -     settlement in least number of meetings. Minor maintenance, flexibility and other
        inherent jobs were made as part of agreement resulting in overall achievement.

    -     Shop floor: Leading & training the performance of Field Executives / Engineers /
          Supervisors / Operators to ensure efficiency in operations and meeting of individual &
          group targets.
    -     Sales Team: Providing assistance to the sales team for collating continuous feedback
          about the market. Recruiting Sales Executives for implementing the policies in its right
          earnest. Developing dealerships as per Manpower Requirement & System Implementation
          & coordinating with the sales & marketing division for increasing market penetration.
          Resolving interpersonal issues & working towards a harmonious work environment.

Spare Part Management: Designing and monitoring effective procurement schedules along with finalizing specifications of the spare parts. Managing indigenization of the spare parts and planning of inventory of Spare Parts, Consumables, Process Reengineering, etc. Improving process and system for minimization of energy, spares and raw materials. Maintaining MIS reporting for monitoring the day to day performance. Effecting zero based stores inventory and hence reduction in spares inventory. Implementation of Standardisation across plants, minimising number of vendors and localisation of spare parts to reduce inventory cost.
