The document discusses research on when children should be exposed to computers and the benefits and concerns. It notes that children under age 2 should avoid screen time, and from ages 2-3 limited introduction is appropriate. Benefits of preschool computer use include improved skills, but concerns include increased obesity and interference with development. The consensus is that introduction from age 3 can be beneficial when supervised and used in moderation as an educational tool.
this is a power point presentation on computers and children nowadays. thi project is about the effects on children both in good way and in a bad way, the advantages and disadvantages of computers.
Technology Affecting the learning Behavior of ChildrensRupa Bhowmik
It’s important to come together as parents, teachers and therapists to help society “wake up” and see the devastating effects technology is having not only on our child’s physical, psychological and behavioral health, but also on their ability to learn and sustain personal and family relationships. While technology is a train that will continually move forward, knowledge regarding its detrimental effects, and action taken toward balancing the use of technology with critical factors for development, will work toward sustaining our children. While no one can argue the benefits of advanced technology in today’s world, connection to these devices may have resulted in a disconnection from what society should value most, children.
We need to understand the ways technology is impacting our children, and how to encourage the right use of technology so it can have a positive effect on their behavior and development, as opposed to a negative one

Computer ethics is a part of practical philosophy which concerns with how computing professionals should make decisions regarding professional and social conduct.
Should there be a legal age for technological use? michellebuttigieg
There are legal ages for driving, drinking, etc., but why not on technology? Research concludes that screen time for young children is detrimental to their health. Legal ages are set in place in order to protect and benefit the individual. If technology is so bad for children, why are they allowed to use it?

Introduction
Modern technology has been playing a significant role in children development. Nowadays technology has improved and is accessible in every home. As a result, it becomes fundamental in children development. Some of the appliances such as TVs, Radio, mobile phones and computers are the main aspects of technology that plays a significant role in children development. Also, the internet is one of the primary technology that has an enormous impact on children life. Many children have opened social network accounts where they correspond with their friends, post their feelings and follow updates. A survey was done in 2013 that involved interview of 1463 parents revealed that most youth uses media devices such as tablets, smartphones and follow TV programs. As a result, this technology has played a significant role in children development. Children have achieved various knowledge from technology and have exposed to the whole world. Nowadays, children have taken advantage of the shift from analogue digital. Most parents and guardians have bought their children mobile, computers, and tablets for gaming, learning and for fun. As the children grow, they keep advancing in technology. Therefore, technology has contributed to children positive development. However, it has adversely contributed to poor children growth and development. Since technology has both positive and adverse impacts children, kids should be restricted from harmful technologies. More so, parents and all players should ensure that children are not exposed to harmful technology that will adversely affect positive growth and development. The following points will justify that adverse and favo ...

Information Technology In Education
Information Technology in Education, effects of the continuing developments in information technology (IT) on education.
The pace of change brought about by new technologies has had a significant effect on the way people live, work, and play worldwide. New and emerging technologies challenge the traditional process of teaching and learning, and the way education is managed. Information technology, while an important area of study in its own right, is having a major impact across all curriculum areas. Easy worldwide communication provides instant access to a vast array of data, challenging assimilation and assessment skills. Rapid communication, plus increased access to IT in the home, at work, and in educational establishments, could mean that learning becomes a truly lifelong activity—an activity in which the pace of technological change forces constant evaluation of the learning process itself.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
3. Technology use in the classroom is increasing
and its importance is noted in new standards
See National Technology Standards and NETP
2010
Technology use at home is also increasing
Research Question:
At what age should children be exposed to
computers and software, and what are the
benefits and concerns?
4. AAP Guidelines state that parents should
“avoid television-viewing [and computer use]
entirely for children who are younger than 2
years and…encourage more interactive
activities that will promote proper brain
development, such as talking, playing,
singing, and reading together” (Vandewater,
2007)
http://www.aap.org/
5. Ageat which children should be exposed to
technology varies depending on the study;
however, most researchers agree that:
Children under age 2 or 3 should not be exposed
because computers do not match the learning
style of this age group – they are learning to
crawl, walk, and master other non-technological
skills
Once children are in preschool it is acceptable to
begin introducing technology, under
teacher/parent supervision
6. Some
concerns of exposing children to
computers at a young age:
Increase in obesity rate among children (spend
too much time in front of a screen rather than
outdoors playing)
Interference with brain development, health,
and social and emotional growth
Children become more screen-focused, rather
than people-focused (issues with social
development and interactions)
7. Benefits
of exposing children to computers in
preschool:
Build memory skills
Become more self-directed learners
Learn problem solving skills
Increased self-esteem
Working with others
Improved motor skills
Added benefits for children with special needs
8. As a group, we agree that children under 3
should not be fully engaged with computers
because of possible interference with
important developmental stages at that age
We also believe that children should be
introduced rather early in order to keep up
with the digital age in which we live
Technology is an important part of life, and
an invaluable educational tool, as long as it
is used in moderation, especially with young
children
9. Children should not be introduced to
computers and software until age three
When introduced, it should be under
supervision by teacher or parent, and used in
moderation as a teaching tool
Introduce them to software that encourages
them to make, design, and create things
Children should be introduced to computers
using only developmentally appropriate
software
