2. This is the camera that is used to take photos. It has a built in flash however, the lights around the set are
better for the photo shoots I will do. It has many different settings according to what kind of photo we are
going to be taking.The lens at the front is a zoom lens so instead of moving back and forth, you can just use
this to adjust how close you want to be to your model.TheCamera does have a screen but it is far more
effective and precise to put your eye up to the small glass square and look into this instead as you can see
exactly what your shot will look like.
You can put use the camera to add effects to your photos, by adding coloured gels to give a more colourful
and unique look.
Below are some photos that I took of the camera used in photo shoots:

3. There are 4 lights in the media photo shoot room, 2 at the front facing towards the middle,
to light up the model, and two at the back, facing the centre of the backdrop to light up the
background.To turn the light on you plug in the kettle cable into a socket and then into the
light.You also need to make sure that the switch on the light is turned off before turning on
the power at the socket otherwise the fuse might blow.Also, you should tape any cables
down for health and safety so nobody trips.
The umbrella is a light modifier which you can add on.The white one in the photo, makes the
light more softer, however there is a black umbrella that you can use which creates harsher
shadows.
The photo on the right is of an infared which connects the flash on the camera to the flash on
the lights so they both go off at the same time and the shot can be captured quickly and
professionally.

4. This is what the finished set looks like.
You can choose a variety of backdrops to
use, by simply pulling down your selected
camera.There is choice between, black
white grey, light blue and a few others.The
backdrops should be taped down to avoid
ripping.
When taking photos of a model, you should
make sure the model is standing in the
centre, and not too far back otherwise
shadows are created in the final shot.
Where the person on my photo on the left is
standing is where your model should aim to
be.
The photos taken can also be easily
uploaded to the computer by removing the
memory card from the camera, putting it
into a special USB and accessing the
documents from there.
I have used this set up before in previous
photo shoots with a teacher present, but
now I have researched into equipment I feel
confident that I would know what to do in
future.
