Crafting an essay on the topic of "Research Argument Essay Examples" can be a challenging yet
rewarding endeavor. The difficulty lies not only in the extensive research required but also in the
critical thinking and analytical skills necessary to develop a compelling argument.

crafted thesis statement. The writer must balance the presentation of evidence with insightful
analysis, creating a narrative that persuades and informs the reader.

style. The ability to convey complex ideas in a comprehensible manner is crucial, demanding a
mastery of vocabulary, syntax, and rhetorical devices. Striking the right balance between
formality and engagement is an additional layer of difficulty, as the essay should cater to both
academic rigor and reader accessibility.
Revision and refinement constitute another vital phase in the essay-writing process. Revisiting
and polishing the work is essential to eliminate inconsistencies, strengthen arguments, and
enhance overall clarity. This iterative process demands patience and a willingness to critically
assess and improve one's own writing.

Bulimia Nervosa
An eating disorder is a psychological disorder characterized by an abnormally low
body weight, intense fear of gaining weight, and a distorted perception of weight or
shape (Mayo). These mental illnesses can cause serious problems in a person s
everyday diet (Mandal). People with anorexia nervosa refuse to eat, so they generally
use different methods to limit their calorie intake to lose weight. Some methods
include excessive exercise, using laxatives, or vomiting after eating. Bulimia nervosa
is another type of eating disorder, characterized by binge eating, consuming large
amounts of food, followed by purging through vomiting or the use of laxatives (page

having a thin body. In one study researchers linked anorexia with an obsession with

skipping most meals, frequent weighting, extreme weight change, and skin rash or
dry skin. Teens with eating disorders are often in denial that anything is wrong,
they may be moody, anxious, depresses. People with anorexia have a real fear of
weight gain and a distorted view of their body size and shape, as a result they eat

Why The Government Should Receive Welfare
Most people think welfare recipients are jobless individuals that receive benefits
from the government but in fact they are required to be employed to receive welfare.
Welfare recipients may depend on the government to help make ends meet because
they may not have all their necessities met on their own. For this reason the
governmentshould provide programs that promote self sufficiency among welfare
recipients.
The purpose of welfare is to give financial support to the families in need. Welfare
reform can refer to the law passed in 1996 The Personal Responsibility and Work
Opportunity Reconciliation Act (PRWORA) which generally are the changes in the
U.S welfare system over time (104 congress 110 193). The Personal Responsibility

Ideally not everyone can commit to welfare to work programs, but this doesn t
mean they deserve to fend for themselves. It only makes sense for families who
work to receive enough money to support themselves. Michele Gilman divulged
how stagnant the wages for lower income families are she wrote, American
workers are among the most productive in the world, but over the last 40 years the
bottom half of income earners have seen no income growth. As a result since
1973, worker productivity has grown . . . almost six times faster than wages
(Gilman 2018). Without raising the minimum wage there will be the same
problems for posterity in the U.S. Michelle also expresses the problems in wages
and how they affect housing she asserts, There are 11 million renter households
paying more than half their income on housing. And there is no county . . . in
America where a minimum wage worker can afford a two bedroom home. Still,
only 1 in 4 . . . eligible households receive any form of government housing
assistance (Gilman 2018). Housing cost steadily increase yet the amount wages that
are being paid out to the lower working class stays constant, if this continues the
basic necessities are going to become too unaffordable and more people are going to
need government assistance. It is also made evident that many not all people living in
poverty gain welfare
ERP Strategies and Vision
The purpose of this phase is to establish the ERP strategies and vision. The
establishment of the ERP strategies and vision sets the direction of the ERP
project, as well as for the ERPs entire lifecycle in the organisation (Ganly, 2012).
The key activities is to define what an ERP is for the organisation, identifying the
scope of the ERP, gain alignment of the business needs with the organisations
information Technology (IT) strategies, precisely articulate the project vision and
ensure the vision aligns with the business goals (Ganly, 2012). According to Ganly
(2012) organisations need to spend enough time clearly defining the strategy for
ERP implementation, as well as planning the entire implementation process of an
ERP thoroughly. Spending enough time planning and strategising would increase
the chances of the ERP implementation to be successful (Ganly, 2012). The dangers
of this phase however is having a vision that is overly ambitious, poorly defined or
not realistic; which results in having an ERP implementation strategy that is
impossible to deliver and ultimately impossible to gain business value (Ganly,
2012). Not understanding an ERP within the context of the organisations
application portfolio will lead to an ERP implementation that is not appropriately
scoped and does not align to business and IT strategies (Ganly, 2012). Taking a pace
layered approach according to Ganly (2012) is vital for ERPs long term success
within the organisation as well as
The Properties of Tradition Metals Essay
Transition metals are a group of metals that are considered dense and have high
melting and boiling points. They are located between the alkaline earth metals group
and the boron group. The transition metals are characterized by the number of inner
energy levels that are occupied by the atoms. They are then separated into 2 groups: d
type transition metals and f type transition metals. D type transition metals are mostly
consisted of important metals (commercially) and the rare and unimportant metals.
They are ranged from very reactive to noble. The metals in this group all form a
variety of different alloys. The f type transition metals consists of lanthanides (rare
earth metals) and actinides which is from thorium to lawrencium. These... Show more

Although this may be a lot, there is a lot of gold in the rock veins. In fact, more
than half of the world s total production of gold is using vein mining. Gold has
been used for medicine and dentistry can be dated back for thousands of years. The
earliest record of medical use of gold was by the Chinese in 2500 B.C. For
dentistry, the earliest use would be for using gold wire to secure substitute teeth
and were used by the Etruscans. Since gold is malleable and resistant to corrosion,
it is ideal to be used in dentistry. Most of the 20th century, gold has been used in
medicine. For example, medicines that treat rheumatoid arthritis contain gold. It has
also been used in the treatment of cancer. Gold is also used for implants as well as
treating facial nerve paralysis. Gold is ideal for implants because they are very
resistant to bacteria.
Lagophtalmos is the inability to close the eyelids completely. The word
lagopthalmos comes from the Latin word meaning hare. This is because like a
hare, a person cannot close their eyes completely during sleeping. This is caused
by a facial nerve paralysis. The most common type would be Bell s palsy vascular
lesion. Blinking is an essential in keeping our body healthy. When blinking, the tear
film spreads over the ocular surface and allows for there to be moisture in the eye.
When someone is unable to close the eyelid, it can lead to many corneal problems
like blindness, bacterial infection and many others. Although there are
Color Vision Development in Infants
Color Vision Development in Infants: The Responsibility of Cone Types and
Wavelength in Order of Color Development It is a wonderful thing to witness a
sunset and see all the various colors that occur in our world. What would it be like
if we didn t view the sunset with all the beautiful colors that are perceived in it?
According to Brown, Lindsey, Mcsweeney, and Walters, (1994) without factoring in
brightness, newborn infants cannot differentiate between colors. This was found by
testing infants in forced choice preferential looking experiments or FPL
experiments (Brown et al., 1994). It is astonishing to think that we haven t always
viewed the world in various vibrant colors. So at what point do we as individuals

Infants that were aged 4 weeks and 9 weeks were evaluated in a study that looked at
red/ green color and it was found that the responses to the stimuli for nine week old
infants were greater in response to the stimuli than four week old infants (Teller
Palmer, 1996). Is it possible that the younger infants in the study by Teller and
Palmer (1996) had not yet fully matured their s cone receptors? At what age does
the color green develop in infants? Does the amount of s cones we have contribute
and affect the order in which we develop color? According to a blog by Jones
(2013), a retinal neuroscientist and photographer, tritanopia colorblind people
have s (blue) cones absent and have issues deciphering between blue and green,
infants might not be able to see blue yet (Robin, 2014), so as a replacement for blue,
I am going to use gray as the comparing color. I predict that infants three weeks old
will see the green and gray colors differently, and have an increase in gaze time on the
color green while previously viewing gray or red.
Hypothesis
Infants that are three weeks old will be at the beginning stages of maturing s cones,
which should enable them to begin viewing green and will in turn prefer the color
green (longer gaze time) because it is new in their development of color.
Independent variables of the study will be which color is shown to the infants.

Communicating the Change The Target Corporation has undergone many changes
due to the 2013 security breach where hackers stole personal information from credit
and debit cards of at least 70 million customers. Target sales and reputation has
dropped from this instance, thus eliciting changes in their security systems, changes
in management, and a few policy changes in handling customer information. With the
public eye on the corporation s handling of the situation, Target has been
communicating these changes through various means. The changes they needed to
communicate were informing customers of the security breach, addressing the bad
press coverage to shareholders, downsizing of employees, and ... Show more content

In a public statement regarding employee downsizing, they stated: Target continually
assesses our operating model to ensure we are well positioned to adapt to changing
business needs. ... We believe these decisions, while difficult, are the right actions as
we continue to focus on transforming our business. We will continue to invest in key
business areas to strengthen our ability to compete and thrive well into the future,
Hammerand et al., 2014). Although they also stated that the downsizing is in no
way a result from the data breach, it can be considered an indirect result of
transforming the business, which was a result of the breach. It is known that Target
informed their employees of the downsizing pursuant to media publicity, however it
does not state which form of communication was used. I have created a sample e
mail notification to employees regarding this issue (See Target Downsizing Email).
The statement above was my inspiration, as it describes the corporation s views on
the issue, although vaguely. I would have explained in more detail the reasons and
steps taken for the layoffs so that the employees can understand the rationale behind
the move.
Another stakeholder within the Target Corporationis its shareholders. They, too, have
been affected by the security breach, in that the press coverage
Comparing Disney And Disney s The Frog Prince And The

The Frog Prince vs. The Princess and The Frog Disney s The Princess and The
Frog is based on the original story The Frog Prince written by the Grimm brothers
in 1812. There have been many books and movies inspired by the original The Frog
Prince, each being different in their own way. The name is a common difference
between the original and newer versions of the story, usually modern versions are
named The Princess and The Froglike Disney s adaptation. Even though Disney s
The Princess and The Frog and the original The Frog Prince are the same story,
they have notable differences and very few similarities; the setting, her status, the
story line, and the moral. The Frog Prince begins telling how the princess very
often spent her spare time at a well near her castle where she would play catch with
her golden ball. One day while she was playing catch, she accidentally threw her
golden ball into the well. As she cried about her golden ball a frog offered to help
her as long as she made a promise, but if you would love me, and have me for your
companion and play fellow, and let me sit by you at table, and eat from your plate,
and drink from your cup, and sleep in your little bed if you would promise all this,
then would I dive below the water and fetch you your golden ball again. (Grimm)
Even the princess agreed, she left after the frog retrieved her golden ball for her. The
day after meeting the frog, she sat, eating at her dinner table only to be interrupted by

are Gulab (Rose) and Herbal Ubtan. Ubtan is very popular in India. The Kangra
Hill Care Cure Company recently launched a skin care product Hill Queen Gulab
Herbal Ubtan. The company is located in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, India. This
company was established in 2002. My purpose is to launch my product in Sarnia
Canada. The first launch is on the experimental basis, if I observe success then I can
expand it to other cities as well. To meet my purpose successfully, I did extensive
research on targeted market of personal care products. However, I focused the entire
globe because I want to prove, my choice is precise.
Research and Analysis
Surprisingly, females and males are becoming a strong candidate for skin care
products. Therefore, the Indian manufacturers are developing family care brands.
They are also producing male and female brands separately. Nonetheless, the male
segment of the market is not so big now. It is, just 8% of the 10 billion dollars
Indian market of personal care.
Targeted Market for Personal Care Products
In spite of the fact that, it is surprising that maturing population will be the main
customer of the personal care
Pros And Disadvantages Of Competitive Advantages
In the current scenario, most of the countries are facing this problem and are
trapped in this vicious circle. Due to lack of investments, there are a few industrial
setups in the country which in turn results in lack of opportunities for individuals in
the society and as a result, skilled labour is forced to move to other economies
leading to a massive brain drain which further results in deficiency of skilled labour
and, ultimately the competitive edge is lost.
The only way to overcome or break the vicious circle all an economy needs to do is
first to attract investments by attaining the competitive edge over the other
countries.it could be by change in the government policy or other means.

A competitive advantage can only be established when the country promotes
investments and people are ready to invest in the country moreover, there are many
factors that determine a country to be worth investing for example public policies,
available infrastructure, allied industries, market, raw materials and most importantly
cheap and skilled human resource.
If we talk about India in particular, it has almost all these points, ease of doing
business has been established with the introduction of Make In India, simplified
government rules and regulations, RTI and a special board to look after the
investments in the country. There is a very broad domestic market and ease of
exporting the products and globalization, the market is very broad. As, discussed
earlier the availability of cheap labour is in plenty in the country and supporting
industries too are present.
All that is lacking is skilled labour with proper training and it can be easily achieved
by the government of the country and by looking into and implementing some
suggestions described later and moreover with successful achievement of goals stated

The Censorship Of The Arts
Censorship In the Arts Innocence, purity, youth qualities that society strives to
protect. In order to safeguard these sanctities, society often employs censorship to
combat vileness. Vileness embedded within the arts. Art has no limits, no boundaries,
no rules. Art is undefinable. Therefore, art is easily considered to be the nesting
grounds for defilement. Censorshipis currently the preferred tool to cleanse this
impurity. Censorship is the suppression of words, images, or ideas that are offensive

back to the times of Socrates, who was sentenced to death for corrupting the youth
(http://www.beaconforfreedom.org/liste.html?tid=415 art_id=475). Rulers,
especially the Catholic Church, feared the loss of power as individuals gain
autonomy through freedom of expression. The Index Librorum Prohibitorum in
1559 is an example of early censorship. It was a list of books banned due to their
heretical or ideologically dangerous content... (http://www.beaconforfreedom.org

Joan of Arc, and Thomas More. It was not until 1966 was the index finally
eradicated, nearly four hundred years later. Although that form of censorship no
longer exists, more have erupted in its place. The issue of censorship is more
prevalent in contemporary society due to the easy accessibility and rapid spread of
media. So much so that the

The Medicare bill was signed into law on July 30, 1965 by President Johnson. The

insure themselves against illness that may present during their senior years.
Additionally, he commented that there were more than 18 million low income
Americans who are greater than 65 years of age and cannot afford to treat their
illnesses. The Medicare program is overseen by The Centers for Medicare and

The goal of this deception is to obtain a federal healthcare payment that would not
otherwise exist. The provider, practice, or institution may falsely claim to have
provided a service or used supplies for a patient when in reality neither the service
nor the supplies were used. A secondary way to commit Medicare fraudinvolves
referrals. If one solicits, pays, or accepts money to encourage referrals because the
services are reimbursed by Federal healthcare programs, they are participating in
Medicare fraud. This type of fraud is addressed in the Anti Kickback Statute. Lastly,
Medicare fraud occurs when the complexity of services are overstated and billed at a

the government from being excessively charged for goods and services.
Medicare fraud is illegal and remedies are sought at both a civil and criminal level.
If a provider, practice, or institution is found guilty of Medicare fraud, the

Beijing Bio Tech (BBT) is an animal fed manufacturer in China who hired Edward
Tang of Asia Pacific Consulting Group to locate a United States supplier for feed
grade lecithin. Lecithin is produced from soybeans. China s main grains are for
human consumption, which are wheat and rice. Mr. Tang found a handful of
companies that sold lecithin in the United States, but those companies only wanted to
deal with the seller directly instead of a middleman, Mr. Tang. Therefore, Mr. Tang
contacted Bill Wright of US Fortune to help with his search. Mr. Wright reached out
to Dr. Robert Fisher at NutriNex, a lecithin producer. Dr. Fisher was enthusiastic to

Wright elected to use a letter of credit to avoid any financial burden, to collect a

Descriptions And Differences Of The Alpine And Desert...
The world has many ecosystems which has some similarities and some differences to
each other. In my essay I am going to contrast and compare the Alpine and Desert
Ecosystems describing climates, soils, plant adaptations and interactions between
plants and animals.
First I would like to give an overview of each ecosystem and then compare their
attributes.
Alpine Ecosystems can be found all around the world on great mountain ranges at an
altitude of 10000 feet or more just below the snow line of the mountains for example
in the Andes, Alps or Rocky Mountains. Around 16% percent of the Earth s surface is
part of this ecosystem.
The climate here is generally very cold which leads to the ground being mostly
frozen. Due to this dead plants cannot ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They also want to preserve the water they gained so they are mostly slower growing
which takes less energy therefore less food which means they do not use as much
water.
They also developed a range of methods to scare animals away, but on the other hand
they need pollinators who in these areas are more active in the night so their flowers
open at this time.
The main similarity between the plant adaptations in these ecosystems is that they
grow small because of the lack of nutrients in the soil, the wind and the extreme
weather.
They also develop hairy leaves but for different reasons. In the Alpine Ecosystem
they are doing it to help them keep the warmth they gained during the day and also
to break the wind and provide a fairly warmer temperature around the plant. However
in the Desert Ecosystem they do it to reduce water loss.
Another similarity is that their leaves or flowers are turning during the day. But
again it has different causes. While in Alpine regions they want to absorb more sun
this was, in Desert regions they want to avoid losing water.
They have similarities in growing spine or needles instead of leaves because these
are more efficient in absorbing sunlight which is crucial for

It is beneficial to equalize the temperature between the outside and inside. By
adjusting the curtains it prevents animals from balking due to the drastic change in
temperature once they approach the threshold.
Remember: it is the Crew Leader s responsibility to make sure that the barn s curtains
are returned to the automatic setting before leaving the barn.
Before moving any animals, make sure that all things on this check list have been
completed.
Before beginning to back the trailer to the load out chute, make sure that all crew
members and people are clear of the path between trailer and chute.
Proper hand signals and paying attention are key to backing the market trailer to the
chute.
Stop the market driver about four feet from the chute so you can raise and secure the
trailer s roll gate.
Secure the roll gate s rope to the tie off on the trailer, and continue the back up
process.
Allow a few inches between the trailer and chute so the chute sits down into the
trailer s opening once you have lowered the chute down.
Secure the chute extensions on both sides to the market trailer. The doors of the
chute must extend into the inside of the trailer.
Spread bags of wood chips evenly on the chute and both decks of the market trailer. It
blends the surfaces of the chute and trailer together so the hog doesn t recognize the
transition.
The Dreamer By Pam Munoz Analysis
The Dreamer by Pam MuГ±oz and Peter SГs, is a work of fiction based on the events
of Pablo Neruda s childhood. We begin in Chile with an 8 year old boy by the name
of NeftalГ. NeftalГ has trouble focusing and is very frail. He s distracted a lot
because he appreciates and sees so much more in everything that he comes across.
His father is a stern man, who insists that day dreaming is a waste of time. He

much happening inside that little mind of his. His father wants NeftalГ to become a
doctor and for NeftalГ s brother, Rodolfo, to become a business man, not the singer
that he has the natural talent to be. Because he s never been encouraged to be

however, when he forces NeftalГ to risk his life in the ocean water and when he

freedom now to write about all the injustices of the world without the fear of creative
destruction. Pablo Neruda went on to become one of the most important literary

Somehow, despite the obstacles he faced, he found his own voice and managed to

environment and the world. One product, among many, being recycled has shown a
huge increase in energy savings and costs, and that is aluminum. Using aluminum can
pieces with KOH (potassium hydroxide) and other reactants will eventually lead to
the production of alum.
Materials and Methods Starting the experiment, 1.0184 g of aluminum pieces were
weighed out on an analytical balance. The aluminum was then placed in a 250 mL
beaker containing 50.1 mL of 1.4M potassium hydroxide. The solution was then
heated on a hot plate set at 80ВєC for approximately 35 minutes with a spin of 240
RPM. At the end of the 35 minutes, the solution has become black in color and
many of the pieces have broken down. The beaker was rinsed with 10 mL of
distilled water after the mixture was poured through the BГјchner funnel of the
aspirator. The filtrate was put into a clean 250 mL beaker to be added with 20.5 mL
of 6.0M sulfuric acid, stirred slowly when added. The reaction was then put into a 1L
beaker Вѕ full of ice and water to kick start the reaction into making the alum
crystals. The stirring rod was used to help activate the crystals. Once the making of
the crystals had finished, it was poured into the filtration apparatus to separate the
crystals from the solution. While the crystals were drying, the watch glass was
weighed at 57.1161 g on the analytical balance. After the crystals where dry, they were
An Essay On Houston Texas
HousВ·toВ·niВ·an, a native resident of Houston, Texas. This term is popular in
more states than Texas. There s a saying that Everything is bigger and better in
Texas. Houston is the fourth largest city in America behind Nevada and ahead of
New Mexico. Now that is big. People that are born in Texas are natives, and therefore
Houstonian. There are several races that call Houstonhome like Hispanics, Asians,
Blacks and Europeans. There is also a refugee population in Houston from places like
Afghanistan, Iraq, and Somalia. However, any person that lives in the culture and
experiences the culture to the extent that they consider themselves native can also be
called a Houstonian. Houstonian is not a term. Houstonian is a way of life, a culture,
and an identity. Technically a Houstonian is anyone native to the city of Houston,
Texas. As vague as that may be, this surprisingly includes all kinds of nationalities
and races. Houston is melting pot city and many families are started here. As long
as you have lived in the city for a minimum time, or have been born in Houston that
makes you a Houstonian. Usually natives are born into a family of natives as well
but other times it is a generation that starts the path going forward. There is no
particular face of a Houstonian, or style of dress for that matter. A Houstonian is
recognized by their comfort in the city. Houstonians a proud of their city and often
rally often at festivals and events to celebrate that culture of a fun and

Obesity is one of the major risk factors for gallstones, especially in women. A large
clinical study showed that being even moderately overweight increases one s risk for
developing gallstones.
Secondly, excess estrogen from pregnancy, hormone replacement therapy or birth
control pills appears to increase cholesterol levels in bile and decrease gallbladder
movement, both of which can lead to gallstones.
Ethnicity is another important factor. According to scientists, Native Americans
have a genetic predisposition to secrete high levels of cholesterol in bile. In fact,
they have the highest rates of gallstones in the United States. A majority of Native
American men have gallstones by age 60. Among the Pima Indians of Arizona, 70
percent of women have gallstones by age 30. Mexican Americans men and women
of all ages also have high rates of gallstones.
The fourth factor is Cholesterol lowering drugs. Drugs that lower cholesterol levels
in blood actually increase the amount of cholesterol secreted in bile. This in turn can
increase the risk of gallstones.
Another factor is rapid weight loss. As the body metabolizes fat during rapid weight
loss, it causes the liver to secrete extra cholesterol into bile, which can cause
gallstones.
Gallstones may sometimes cause certain symptoms. These symptoms include
Chronic Indigestion, which have symptoms such as nausea, heartburn and bloating.

A Experiment On The Methane Rocket Essay
The practical which I have chosen will be the methane rocket. In order to test this
experiment I must have the correct equipment and follow the method correctly. The
equipment and chemicals for this will be: пЃ¬Goggles for eye protection пЃ¬Ear
defenders пЃ¬A rubber bung for the bottle to fit in. пЃ¬A soft drink bottle capacity
between 300cm3 and 500cm3 (Coca Cola 0.5L bottle). пЃ¬A measuring cylinder.
пЃ¬Rubber tubing for the gas tap to fit into. пЃ¬Gases (such as oxygen and methane,
these are the reagents for the experiment). пЃ¬School text book пЃ¬Protective gloves
пЃ¬A wooden splint пЃ¬Matches/lighter The method for this experiment is as
follows: 1.First fill the plastic bottle with water then pour the water into a
measuring cylinder in order to calculate its volume. 2.Then pour 1/3 of the bottle s
volume of water back into the bottle and mark out the level of it with a pen. (It s
important to only use the bottle once in the experiment as it can be weakened by
the explosion and can be dangerous if used again). 3.Then fill the bottle completely
and invert in a washing up bowl of water. 4.Place one end of the rubber tube that s
connected to the gas tap which is placed under the neck of the bottle and fill the
bottle up to the level you marked out with Methane from the gas tap. Then start to fill
the bottle up with oxygen. The bottle should contain a 2:1 ratio mixture of oxygen
and methane by the volume. 5.Stop the bottle with the rubber bung and place it on

Lawn Mower
While I develop my marketing strategy for my self propelled robotic lawn mower,
the first step I would take is determining the market for my product. I understand
that the main appeal to my product is that it is a convenience product, but it is not
a necessity and most likely will to be offered at a lower price than existing lawn
mowers on the market. Because of this, some of the characteristics of my target
market is they are economically well off, live in suburban or urban areas and have
limited. This segment is willing to pay extra for the convenience of saving time due
to their spending power. This target market is attractive because they fulfill the
requirements for effective segmentation. Their spending power is measurable, their
market is accessible and can be served, there s a substantial amount of money in this
segment, affluent people are differentiable as marketingto the wealthy is much
different than typical advertising, and the information on them is actionable, allowing
us to effectively make a marketing plan.

The other segment is a large population of middle income suburban people who
want to save time. Since time and money are both very important to this segment,
price will be an important factor as this segment is much less willing to pay top

the amount of money and one for the number of potential customers. Regardless of
which market segment is chosen, both satisfy the five criteria needed for effective
segmentation which would allow our company to take the next step and develop a

The Morality Of Law By John Finnis
This is also in accordance to the theories made by John Finnis, a naturalist, who
proposes that humans need law to help them achieve their own projects in life and
any rule that hinders them from doing so can be rightfully disobeyed given that it
doesn t cause a social distortion. With all these adding up, we can see why he
considers the procedure of lawmaking as the internal morality of law. An analogy
was given by him with his principles of legality being labelled as the rules to using
the tool, law. If the rules are not followed then the tool cannot be used to its fullest
extent and thus the definition of the law is not realised. Accommodation to the
principle is morale as it helps in achieving a human s greatest purpose in life. His
idea of internal morality of law is illustrated in his book, The Morality of Law,
through a story of a fictional king named Rex who applied his rules in ways that
always resulted in a failure. Fuller laid out the failed attempts of ruling and turns it
into a list of eight Principles of Legality or as he calls it as, Desideratum of Law.
He contends that the conditions of the principle have to be met for a legal system
to be considered as valid, and the lack of it fails as such. That said, in order for a
legal system to be recognised, first and essentially, there must be rules. It is not
enough for someone to give out commands, there must be proper law. The rules then
need to be publicised, prospective, understandable, non contradictory,

Introduction
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is known as a neurodevelopmental disorder that is
capable of weakening communication, behavior and socialization. The term ASD
includes three major subtypes which is Autism Spectrum Disorder, Pervasive
Developmental Disorder and Asperger s Disorder. About 9.0 in 1000 children have
ASD and certain types of autism might not be identified until three years of life. The
probability of boys being diagnosed is higher compared to girls (Bravaccio et al.
2013). Autism is not curable, but it can be controlled using certain type of treatments
as there is no specific or one treatment for autism. The question that arises for this

Treatment options used for children with autism by parental, caregivers and clinical
Autism Spectrum Disorder is not curable but it can be controlled using a certain type
of treatments. There are various types of treatments used by parental, caregiver and
clinical. The treatments can be separated into behavior and communication
approaches, medication and complementary and alternative medicine. Applied
behavioral analysis is a treatment approach that is used in many schools and
treatment clinics (Foxx, 2008). There are different types of ABA and one of it is
early intensive behavioral intervention (EIBI). EIBI is the most effective treatment
used for young children from birth to 3 years old as the services consist of
treatments to assist the child to talk, walk and interact with others (Matson Goldin,
2014). Discrete trials teaching (DTT) is one of the key teaching methods in EIBI.
An efficient approach for teaching children with ASD has been shown by DTT and
it plays an important role in language, social and academic skills. DTT has a
sequence of discrete learning units that allows the skills to broken down into smaller
units when teaching a new skill. DTT consist of three term possibilities,
Essay on Anime in America

Anime, or Japanese animation, is a style of animation most recognizable by
characters with large eyes and beautifully detailed backgrounds. Once people watch
anime, they will find besides spectacular animation, anime has complex characters
and deep stories, many of which teach morals and values. Anime is very popular in
Japan; it has also gained a following in America and is beginning to hit the
mainstream.
Anime is gaining popularity in the United States as it is shown more on television,

two forms, dubbed, where voice actors put the words spoken into English, or
subtitled, where the original dialogue is kept and the English equivalent is shown
across the bottom of the screen. Subtitled seems to keep more to what is actually
being said, but some of the puns can be hard to understand while dubbed canmake
the dialogue make sense and sound funnier. In the end, it s really just a matter of
preference.
What makes anime so cool? It s really hard to describe, but yet thousands of people
all across the United States, who can t describe it they, attend cons and are members
of clubs.
No one can really say what it could be the amazing detail, fantastic stories, the
complex plots, or the unforgettable characters...It can be any of these. The growing
popularity of anime in America has resulted in a large number of anime clubs being
founded on college campuses and increasingly at high schools. Many clubs watch and

My Personal Quality
A personal quality that is important to me and that I am proud of is my compassion
for others. In a competitive and increasingly disconnected world, my compassion,
something I once viewed as a weakness, helps keep me grounded. My compassion

friends dealing with mental illnesses and drug addictions, take my dog on long

respect they deserve, drive food donations from my school to the food bank every

Essay On Tacky s Rebellion
When the British conquered Jamaica from the Spaniards, the Spaniards left behind a
large number of African slaves. These slaves created three settlements; Juan de Serras
allied with the Spanish guerrillas, Juan de Bolas, and the third joined to join other
runaway slaves and lived with the Arawak people. These three groups established
independent communities by the interior mountainous regions of the island. To
survive the runaway slaves and Maroons farmed and occasionally raid the
plantations. Eventually they took control of a large areas of the interior of the island.

One well know rebellion is the Tacky s revolt. In May 1760, a slave overseer by the
name of Tacky led a group of African slaves in a revolt to take over plantations
while killing the slave owners. Tacky and the slaves marched to a shop in Fort
Haldane where they killed the shopkeeper and stole barrels of gunpowder and
firearms. That night hundreds of other slaves joined Tacky and his followers.
There was a large celebration for their success in gaining the weapons the need. A
group of Obeahman (witch doctor) formed a circle around the camp, throwing
powder at the men claiming that it would protect them from injury and death and
proclaiming that a Obeahman cannot be killed. The slave s confidence was now
very high. The British troops along with Maroons who were bounded by the treaty
to stop the rebellion soon showed up. When the troop hear of the Obeahman s
claimed immortality they captured, killed and hung his head on a stick for all to
see. The rebels saw this and most of the slaves lost their previous confidence and
returned to their plantations while Tacky and a few men ran into the woods. They
were chased by the Maroons, Tacky was shot and then his head was cut off for
proof of the defeat. The rest of his men were found in a cave near Tacky Falls, they
committed suicide instead of returning to
The Elder s Pieter Bruegel The Elder
In this painting, Pieter Bruegel the Elder addresses a sequence of individuals
ongoing a series of actions leading towards a falling perspective. He presents these
features by painting a scene filled with torture and darkness. Throughout his painting,
Bruegel obtains many emotions from his characters projected in his creation by
paying specific attentions to major and minor details. These are portrayed as
effective evidence to what this painting implies to the viewer himself. With an
orientation of texture and colour choices, the painter implies a chain of characters
leading into darkness and sorrow by his striking choices of posture and facial
deformities. Bruegel illustrates an art with implications of history and physical

PROBLEMS
I thought it was a good idea to also discuss the relation between politics and the
media. I found this topic to be especially relevant due to the last election our country
had. The struggle between the media and authority figures has been a problem that
has been prevalent for a long time. The role of media in Canada s democratic armour
was strengthened in 1982 due to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. This
provided constitutional guarantees for freedom of expression, including freedom of
the press and other media of communication.
Canada has a wide variety of media outlets including local newspapers, commercial
broadcast radio groups, magazines, and a variety of radio stations. Overall
Canadian media has progressed throughout the years, though they deal with a few
problems similar to media in other countries. Today more than 80% of Canadian
media is owned by a cartel of just five corporations: Bell Media, Rogers media,

Arginine. This is an amino acid which augments the proper circulation of blood and
facilitates stimulation of the genital area and sexual organs. It has also been linked to
promoting sperm counts. In addition, arginine is renowned for stirring up erections
and propelling the libido.
Pros of Enlast:
This is an external ointment and hence has no side effects on general health of the
men who use it.
It creates a pleasurable and welcome sensation on application to the penis. Many men
call this pleasurable feeling as a tingling or titillating feeling. This further enhances
the pleasure of the sexual act, unlike other creams used to delay climax. Other creams
usually create a numb or dead feeling in the penis, and thus delay ejaculation, which
inhibits any kind of pleasurable sensation out of the sexual encounter.
The beneficial effects of Enlast can prolong up to 3 hours after application, making it
suitable for prior preparation before the sexual encounter.
Cons of Enlast:
Well, it is an external application, after all. This means that the beneficial effects are
not going to last

The main disadvantage of the MAP packaging is that the presence of excess

generating the undesirable off odours declining the quality scale of the meat

antimicrobial activity. Basically, antimicrobial active packaging can be classified into
four different categories based on the application (Cooksey, 2001). They
How Is Sensory Appeal Used In 1984
In the book 1984, many different devices are used to create different tones and
complexities throughout the story. One device used in a passage in Part One is
sensory appeal. Sensory appeal is defined as literary elements that engage the five
human senses. Appeals to sound and vision are found throughout the story.
Additionally, diction and numerous literary and figurative devices are used to
intensify the sensory appeals in Part One. Sensory appeals to soundand vision are
used to engage the reader s senses and emphasize the tones throughout the story. One
interesting and prevalent sensory appeal used is the element of sound.
Firstly, the sensory appeal to sound is evident in Part One when the character

The use of alliteration, diction and imagery enhance the visual appeal and give the
reader insight into life under the party s control. Firstly, alliteration is defined as
the occurrence of the same letter or sound at the beginning of adjacent or closely
connected words (Oxford Dictionary). In the line, The reality was decaying, dingy
cites (p. 75), alliteration is used in the adjectives describing the infrastructure of
Oceania. This alliteration creates emphasis on the description of the cities.
Alliteration also solidifies the diction of the words by accenting specific sounds in
the adjectives. This emphasizes the description and adds to the gloomy tenor of
the passage. This also allows the reader to better visualize the dreadful landscape
of Oceania. Secondly, the use of imagery contributes tremendously to the visual
appeal in 1984. Imagery is defined as Visually descriptive or figurative language
(Oxford Dictionary). This is seen in the sentence, The ideal set up by the Party was
something huge, terrible, and glittering a world full of steel and concrete, of
monstrous machines and terrifying weapons (p. 75). This imagery engages the reader
s visual sense by helping him visualize the envisioned society of the Party. Through
the uses of adjectives such as monstrous and terrifying, the vision of a fearful tone
towards the Party is conveyed. This gives the reader insight into the power of the
Party and their motives to control the public. Thus, the use of diction and imagery
contribute to the sensory appeal to vision and allow the reader to gain perspective
into the world of Oceania. These uses are imperative to enhancing the story of
Patient Cloning System
Electronic health records (EHRs) are becoming more common among health care
facilities every day. They are intended to increase both the quality and usefulness of
documentation (AHIMA Work Group, 2013). There are many features that make

these same features, if not used properly, can cause a decrease in the integrity of the

By removing old documentation, the chart is being altered incorrectly. However, if
the information is not removed, the current instructions given to the patient are
inaccurate and puts the patient at risk. To rectify this situation, I believe the discharge
documentation in our system needs to be totally revamped. Each set of discharge
instructions should be unique to that specific visit. Old information, accurate or
inaccurate, should not be taken from previous visits for the current visit. The pulling
of old information should be an option for the user, not something that automatically
happens. I believe this needs to be brought to the attention of our IT staff as soon as
possible so the records can stop being inaccurately changed, but most of all for our
patient s safety. Giving patients the incorrect information upon discharge can cause
great harm. People don t always here what their provider says, so the refer to the

they must have missed the doctor telling them to take. Rather than calling for

Form Of Slavery
The New Form of Slavery
Introduction
Kevin Bales describes modern slavery as, adapting an old practice to the new global
economy (11). He uses this statement to refer to the methods through which modern
slaveholders disguise their activities. According to Bales, modern slaveholders take
advantage of vulnerable groups of people in their hunt for slaves. They do not
consider color, religion or ethnicity while taking people into slavery (10).
Modern slaves
Modern slavery is the absolute control over another person s rights without
necessarily having the legal rights to own that person. Bales argues that this form of
slavery arose from the realization that full ownership of slaves exposes slaveholders
to unnecessary maintenance costs. Therefore, ... Show more content on

Many families usually sell their daughters to brothels that use them as sex slaves.
Their culture supports the selling of women, as they do not consider them important
in society. Most of the times, parents sell their daughters to help improve on their
financial status. According to Bales, most of them sell their daughters with the
purpose of buying television sets. In this business, the girls have no control over
their lives. Their masters make all the decisions (Bales 35).
HISTORICAL SLAVERY IN MAURITANIA
Most of the black Mauritanians inherited slavery from their parents. The parents
were slaves; therefore, their children could not avoid slavery. They still work for
their parents masters. Many of their masters take advantage of the teachings of the
Kuran to continue holding slaves. On the other hand, the slaves do not ask for
payment because they fear going against the teachings of the Kuran (Bales 80).
Similarities between the slavery in the two countries
They both take advantage of people s weaknesses. The parents in Thailand take
advantage of their daughters ignorance to sell them. In Mauritania, masters take
advantage of their servants ignorance of the freeing of the slaves in 1980.
The cultures in both countries support the two forms of slavery. In the native Thai
culture, women are property that men use to create more wealth while, in Mauritania,
the Islamic culture supports the capture of slaves in
The Effects Of Media On Body Image
Media holds such high standards in today s society, and media as a whole has
gotten so much power throughout the years. There are so many different forms of
media in today s world: newspapers, magazines, televisions, the hundreds of
websites on the Internet, social media applications, computers, and novels. Media
advertises thousands of different things, but something that has stayed consistent
over the years is advertisement on body image. Media advertises a specific body
type, pushes different dietary needs to achieve this body type and thus creating the
standard of in order to be beautiful, this particular body type must be achieved.
However, what advertisers seem to be neglecting is the effect their advertisements
are having on its viewers. The constant push to achieve a certain body type has
affected the health of thousands of people around the world, and directly affecting
the eating disorder epidemic. What exactly is an eating disorder? There are multiple
different types of eating disorders: anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, eating disorder
not otherwise specified, and binge eating disorder. These are just some of the
more common eating disorders people can suffer from. Anorexia nervosa
according to National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA), is characterized by
self starvation and excessive weight loss. In other words a person who suffers from
anorexia nervosa refuses to eat in hopes to lose weight at an excessive pace. Bulimia

When one think of Tim Tebow what comes to mind? Outspoken Christian, success
football player, fantastic book writer, or current right fielder for the New York Mets.
Much of his life is explained in his book Through My Eyes (2011). Tebow was born
August 14, 1987 in Makati, (Tebow, 2011). As a young kid Tebow was a very active
kid playing very many sports his favorite being football (Tebow, 2011). Many of
weekends were filled with the word of god and sporting events whether it be football
or baseball (Tebow, 2011). According to Tebow (2011) he and his brothers would go
out for hours and practice baseball and football. Tebow was the youngest of five so
he had a lot working against him when it came to playing with his brothers (Tebow,
2011). He... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Tebow won the heisman his sophomore year and a national championship in his
senior year at florida (Tebow, 2011). It was more of his social life he got to talk to
a lot more people since he wasn t homeschooled anymore (Tebow, 2011). It also
promoted him to do a lot of good such as charity events, hospital visits to sick kids,
and other things (Tebow, 2011). This ties back in with another well known idea
which is be humble no matter how successful you are. It shows that when one
achieves success and doesn t go around bragging about it how much of a bigger
person they are. Tebow again is a very good example of this. At an early age his
parents told him that you are only to talk about your success on field when someone
asks about it (Tebow, 2011). This has helped Tebow keep a good reputation
throughout his whole life which has helped him out in other things then just the
football field. It has presented him with a lot of opportunities whether it s
scholarships and sport related things or business opportunities such as the book he
wrote. The book he wrote through my eyes was a new york times bestseller (Tebow,
Cleaning Gutter Guards Research
Tired Of Cleaning Clogged Gutters? Install Gutter Guards And Keep Leaves Out
If scraping decaying leaves out of your gutters is a job you hate, you should think
about installing gutter guards. The guards keep leaves out of the troughs while
allowing rain to seep in, so your gutters work as intended. While they don t make
your gutters completely maintenance free, they do cut down on a lot of time and
labor spent cleaning your gutters. Here are a few things to know. Different Types
Of Gutter Guards You can buy different types of gutter guards. Some are screens of
mesh or nylon that sit on top of the troughs. Others are curved like a dome, so
leaves slide off. Some guards fit inside the gutters. They are like sponges or bristle
brushes that allow water in, but keep leaves out. When choosing the type of guards
to put on your gutters, consider how they will affect the appearance of your house.
The most visible are the curved domes that sit on top of the troughs.... Show more

If you have screens or bristle guards, you may be able to clean them by flushing
them with water while they are still in place. You ll have to remove domed guards
so you can see inside the troughs. The guards should snap on and off in large
sections so you can remove them and hose them off in your yard. With no piles of
leaves clogging the troughs, small seeds and twigs should flush on through with
running water. Even though your gutters and the guards may not be clogged or
have much debris in them, it is still important to clean them occasionally. It is
always a good idea to inspect your gutters annually, and clean them if needed, to
make sure they are working properly. If a limb falls on the gutters or a raccoon
messes around on your roof, one of the guards could become dislodged and allow
leaves in without you knowing it unless you inspect your gutter system
Pros And Cons Of Inequality In America
America, the county, based on the terms of freedom and equality, has been one of
the most powerful, advanced and wealthiest nation in the world. Even in my
country, located on the other side of the globe, everyone believed that in America,
no matter who you were, you were able to achieve anything. The American Dream
the idea that anything is possible if you work at it hard enough was deeply believed
by every single person (The Economics, 2005). But is this belief a reality and not just
a dream? According to some reliable sources, America is suffering from poverty and
inequality. As the Economic Policy Institute (EPI) claims, the majority of the nation
in the U.S. has a dramatically lower income than the tiny population of America,
members... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But unfortunately, this is not the only problem. As Locke claims, there exist some
stereotypes, which make it even harder for low class family members to become
successful. She [mother] did things, that poor people aren t supposed to do , writes
the author (Locke, 2005). Due to the hard life , the fact that the poor need to work
much more than the others to survive, members of the low class believe that getting
an education is just a waste of time. Intelligence is scorned within the tanks of the
poor , claims Locke. On the other hand, if you manage to become successful, move
up into the class, the attitude of the rich toward you will be different, than the attitude
to the members of the same class. In contrast, everybody in the U.S. believes in
American Dream anyone can achieve anything if they work hard
When People Think Of A Presidential Election, Chances Are
When people think of a presidential election, chances are that they will focus on
election night itself, completely ignoring the nomination process that came before it.
Although our current nomination process has been around for over one hundred
years, it has not been without its complications. For almost thirty years, states have
been guilty of front loading which Dictionary.com defines as the process of
concentrating maximum effort on an activity at the outset (Dictionary.com, n.d.).
Every year, different states change their primary or caucusdates to fall earlier in the
year, effectively front loading the presidential campaign every four years. As stated
in my prospectus, my proposed reform involves adopting an open primary schedule...

In contrast, a caucus is a public vote in which people in specific regions meet up and
physically move from one side of a room to another after listening to candidates
debates to make their choice. When the primaries/caucuses are over, the delegates,
who represent the votes of the citizens, travel to their parties national convention in
which the delates meet with super delegates. It is here that together, they make their
choice for presidential nominee (Olson, 2016). I believe this current system is not
democratic enough because front loading of presidential campaigns has many
drawbacks.
To begin, front loading hurts the democratic nature of the nomination process because
it hurts the states. All states, by the power of the constitution, are democratic and can
choose to participate in the nomination process of their choosing. Be it a caucus or a
primary, delegates and super delegates are always involved. The current nomination
system is part of our representative democracy in which we, the people, vote for
representatives to represent us in government (Dahl, 2003, p.73). As the presidential
race progresses from state to state, the race itself becomes less and less about
platform issues and increasingly more about delegate counts and spending large
sums of money used for convincing the American public to vote a precise way. If
candidates will be bouncing back and forth from
Essay On Elbow Dislocation
After the diagnosis from the orthopedic doctor of a posterior elbow dislocation, the
athlete was instructed to wear a mobilization brace locked out at thirty degrees until
his next follow up appointment. During this time, gentle range of motion activities
began involving the wrist and the elbow in both flexionand extension. The athlete also
worked on grip strength with putty, increasing the time and intensity as needed. In
addition to these activities, isometric elbow contractions added to the intensity of the
rehabilitation. After the rehabilitation sessions finished, the athlete iced the injured
area.
The athlete began to heat the injured area before beginning his exercise to help
promote increasing range of motion. Both active and passive stretching of the elbow
and wrist assists the athlete in increasing range of motion as well. The athletic
trainers added hammer pronation/supination exercises to ... Show more content on

However, the athlete still wore the brace while walking outside due to the ice on the
ground for protection in case he fell. The use of the upper body ergometer was added
to help increase range of motion and strength of the arm. The team physician cleared
the athlete to begin closed chain activities. Wall pushups were then added to the
athlete s rehabilitation program.
Next, the athletic training staff added elbow curls and extension to the athlete s
rehabilitation program. Also, the athlete began upper body proprioceptive
neuromuscular facilitation exercises in both the D1 and D2 patterns to work on
entire arm strength in flexion and extension.
Once the athlete mastered the wall pushups, the intensity increased to table pushups
and then to chair pushups. The athlete began to feel confidence in himself in
activities of daily living and did not feel as if he would drop something if he held
onto it for an extended period of

Why The Government Should Receive Welfare Most people think welfare recipients are jobless individuals that receive benefits from the government but in fact they are required to be employed to receive welfare. Welfare recipients may depend on the government to help make ends meet because they may not have all their necessities met on their own. For this reason the governmentshould provide programs that promote self sufficiency among welfare recipients. The purpose of welfare is to give financial support to the families in need. As a result since 1973, worker productivity has grown . . . almost six times faster than wages (Gilman 2018). Without raising the minimum wage there will be the same problems for posterity in the U.S. Michelle also expresses the problems in wages and how they affect housing she asserts, There are 11 million renter households paying more than half their income on housing. And there is no county . . . in America where a minimum wage worker can afford a two bedroom home. Still, only 1 in 4 . . . eligible households receive any form of government housing assistance (Gilman 2018). Housing cost steadily increase yet the amount wages that are being paid out to the lower working class stays constant, if this continues the basic necessities are going to become too unaffordable and more people are going to need government assistance. It is also made evident that many not all people living in poverty gain welfare
  • 6. ERP Strategies and Vision The purpose of this phase is to establish the ERP strategies and vision. The establishment of the ERP strategies and vision sets the direction of the ERP project, as well as for the ERPs entire lifecycle in the organisation (Ganly, 2012). The key activities is to define what an ERP is for the organisation, identifying the scope of the ERP, gain alignment of the business needs with the organisations information Technology (IT) strategies, precisely articulate the project vision and ensure the vision aligns with the business goals (Ganly, 2012). According to Ganly (2012) organisations need to spend enough time clearly defining the strategy for ERP implementation, as well as planning the entire implementation process of an ERP thoroughly. Spending enough time planning and strategising would increase the chances of the ERP implementation to be successful (Ganly, 2012). The dangers of this phase however is having a vision that is overly ambitious, poorly defined or not realistic; which results in having an ERP implementation strategy that is impossible to deliver and ultimately impossible to gain business value (Ganly, 2012). Not understanding an ERP within the context of the organisations application portfolio will lead to an ERP implementation that is not appropriately scoped and does not align to business and IT strategies (Ganly, 2012). Taking a pace layered approach according to Ganly (2012) is vital for ERPs long term success within the organisation as well as

According to Brown, Lindsey, Mcsweeney, and Walters, (1994) without factoring in brightness, newborn infants cannot differentiate between colors. Is it possible that the younger infants in the study by Teller and Palmer (1996) had not yet fully matured their s cone receptors? At what age does the color green develop in infants? Does the amount of s cones we have contribute and affect the order in which we develop color? According to a blog by Jones (2013), a retinal neuroscientist and photographer, tritanopia colorblind people have s (blue) cones absent and have issues deciphering between blue and green, infants might not be able to see blue yet (Robin, 2014), so as a replacement for blue, I am going to use gray as the comparing color. I predict that infants three weeks old will see the green and gray colors differently, and have an increase in gaze time on the color green while previously viewing gray or red. Hypothesis Infants that are three weeks old will be at the beginning stages of maturing s cones, which should enable them to begin viewing green and will in turn prefer the color green (longer gaze time) because it is new in their development of color. Independent variables of the study will be which color is shown to the infants.

In order to safeguard these sanctities, society often employs censorship to combat vileness. Vileness embedded within the arts. Art has no limits, no boundaries, no rules. Art is undefinable. Therefore, art is easily considered to be the nesting grounds for defilement. Censorshipis currently the preferred tool to cleanse this impurity. Censorship is the suppression of words, images, or ideas that are offensive ... (https://www.aclu.org/what censorship). This concept is not new. It can dated way back to the times of Socrates, who was sentenced to death for corrupting the youth (http://www.beaconforfreedom.org/liste.html?tid=415 art_id=475). Rulers, especially the Catholic Church, feared the loss of power as individuals gain autonomy through freedom of expression. The Index Librorum Prohibitorum in 1559 is an example of early censorship. It was a list of books banned due to their heretical or ideologically dangerous content... (http://www.beaconforfreedom.org /liste.html?tid=415 art_id=475). Famous victims of this suppression are Galileo, Joan of Arc, and Thomas More. It was not until 1966 was the index finally eradicated, nearly four hundred years later. Although that form of censorship no longer exists, more have erupted in its place. The issue of censorship is more prevalent in contemporary society due to the easy accessibility and rapid spread of media. So much so that the

Alpine Ecosystems can be found all around the world on great mountain ranges at an altitude of 10000 feet or more just below the snow line of the mountains for example in the Andes, Alps or Rocky Mountains. The main similarity between the plant adaptations in these ecosystems is that they grow small because of the lack of nutrients in the soil, the wind and the extreme weather. They also develop hairy leaves but for different reasons. In the Alpine Ecosystem they are doing it to help them keep the warmth they gained during the day and also to break the wind and provide a fairly warmer temperature around the plant. They have similarities in growing spine or needles instead of leaves because these are more efficient in absorbing sunlight which is crucial for

Obesity is one of the major risk factors for gallstones, especially in women. A large clinical study showed that being even moderately overweight increases one s risk for developing gallstones. Secondly, excess estrogen from pregnancy, hormone replacement therapy or birth control pills appears to increase cholesterol levels in bile and decrease gallbladder movement, both of which can lead to gallstones. Ethnicity is another important factor. According to scientists, Native Americans have a genetic predisposition to secrete high levels of cholesterol in bile. In fact, they have the highest rates of gallstones in the United States. A majority of Native American men have gallstones by age 60. Among the Pima Indians of Arizona, 70 percent of women have gallstones by age 30. Mexican Americans men and women of all ages also have high rates of gallstones. The fourth factor is Cholesterol lowering drugs. Drugs that lower cholesterol levels in blood actually increase the amount of cholesterol secreted in bile. This in turn can increase the risk of gallstones.

The Morality Of Law By John Finnis This is also in accordance to the theories made by John Finnis, a naturalist, who proposes that humans need law to help them achieve their own projects in life and any rule that hinders them from doing so can be rightfully disobeyed given that it doesn t cause a social distortion. With all these adding up, we can see why he considers the procedure of lawmaking as the internal morality of law. An analogy was given by him with his principles of legality being labelled as the rules to using the tool, law. If the rules are not followed then the tool cannot be used to its fullest extent and thus the definition of the law is not realised. Accommodation to the principle is morale as it helps in achieving a human s greatest purpose in life. His idea of internal morality of law is illustrated in his book, The Morality of Law, through a story of a fictional king named Rex who applied his rules in ways that always resulted in a failure. Fuller laid out the failed attempts of ruling and turns it into a list of eight Principles of Legality or as he calls it as, Desideratum of Law. He contends that the conditions of the principle have to be met for a legal system to be considered as valid, and the lack of it fails as such. That said, in order for a legal system to be recognised, first and essentially, there must be rules. It is not enough for someone to give out commands, there must be proper law. The rules then need to be publicised, prospective, understandable, non contradictory,

The use of alliteration, diction and imagery enhance the visual appeal and give the reader insight into life under the party s control. Firstly, alliteration is defined as the occurrence of the same letter or sound at the beginning of adjacent or closely connected words (Oxford Dictionary). In the line, The reality was decaying, dingy cites (p. 75), alliteration is used in the adjectives describing the infrastructure of Oceania. This alliteration creates emphasis on the description of the cities. Alliteration also solidifies the diction of the words by accenting specific sounds in the adjectives. This emphasizes the description and adds to the gloomy tenor of the passage. This also allows the reader to better visualize the dreadful landscape of Oceania. Secondly, the use of imagery contributes tremendously to the visual appeal in 1984. Imagery is defined as Visually descriptive or figurative language (Oxford Dictionary). This is seen in the sentence, The ideal set up by the Party was something huge, terrible, and glittering a world full of steel and concrete, of monstrous machines and terrifying weapons (p. 75). This imagery engages the reader s visual sense by helping him visualize the envisioned society of the Party. Through the uses of adjectives such as monstrous and terrifying, the vision of a fearful tone towards the Party is conveyed. This gives the reader insight into the power of the Party and their motives to control the public. Even though your gutters and the guards may not be clogged or have much debris in them, it is still important to clean them occasionally. It is always a good idea to inspect your gutters annually, and clean them if needed, to make sure they are working properly. If a limb falls on the gutters or a raccoon messes around on your roof, one of the guards could become dislodged and allow leaves in without you knowing it unless you inspect your gutter system
  • 44. Pros And Cons Of Inequality In America America, the county, based on the terms of freedom and equality, has been one of the most powerful, advanced and wealthiest nation in the world. Even in my country, located on the other side of the globe, everyone believed that in America, no matter who you were, you were able to achieve anything. The American Dream the idea that anything is possible if you work at it hard enough was deeply believed by every single person (The Economics, 2005). But is this belief a reality and not just a dream? According to some reliable sources, America is suffering from poverty and inequality. As the Economic Policy Institute (EPI) claims, the majority of the nation in the U.S. has a dramatically lower income than the tiny population of America, members... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But unfortunately, this is not the only problem. As Locke claims, there exist some stereotypes, which make it even harder for low class family members to become successful. She [mother] did things, that poor people aren t supposed to do , writes the author (Locke, 2005). Due to the hard life , the fact that the poor need to work much more than the others to survive, members of the low class believe that getting an education is just a waste of time. Intelligence is scorned within the tanks of the poor , claims Locke. On the other hand, if you manage to become successful, move up into the class, the attitude of the rich toward you will be different, than the attitude to the members of the same class. In contrast, everybody in the U.S. believes in American Dream anyone can achieve anything if they work hard
  • 45. When People Think Of A Presidential Election, Chances Are When people think of a presidential election, chances are that they will focus on election night itself, completely ignoring the nomination process that came before it. Although our current nomination process has been around for over one hundred years, it has not been without its complications. For almost thirty years, states have been guilty of front loading which Dictionary.com defines as the process of concentrating maximum effort on an activity at the outset (Dictionary.com, n.d.). Every year, different states change their primary or caucusdates to fall earlier in the year, effectively front loading the presidential campaign every four years. As stated in my prospectus, my proposed reform involves adopting an open primary schedule... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In contrast, a caucus is a public vote in which people in specific regions meet up and physically move from one side of a room to another after listening to candidates debates to make their choice. When the primaries/caucuses are over, the delegates, who represent the votes of the citizens, travel to their parties national convention in which the delates meet with super delegates. It is here that together, they make their choice for presidential nominee (Olson, 2016). I believe this current system is not democratic enough because front loading of presidential campaigns has many drawbacks. To begin, front loading hurts the democratic nature of the nomination process because it hurts the states. All states, by the power of the constitution, are democratic and can choose to participate in the nomination process of their choosing. Be it a caucus or a primary, delegates and super delegates are always involved. The current nomination system is part of our representative democracy in which we, the people, vote for representatives to represent us in government (Dahl, 2003, p.73). As the presidential race progresses from state to state, the race itself becomes less and less about platform issues and increasingly more about delegate counts and spending large sums of money used for convincing the American public to vote a precise way. If candidates will be bouncing back and forth from

Essay On Elbow Dislocation After the diagnosis from the orthopedic doctor of a posterior elbow dislocation, the athlete was instructed to wear a mobilization brace locked out at thirty degrees until his next follow up appointment. During this time, gentle range of motion activities began involving the wrist and the elbow in both flexionand extension. The athlete also worked on grip strength with putty, increasing the time and intensity as needed. In addition to these activities, isometric elbow contractions added to the intensity of the rehabilitation. After the rehabilitation sessions finished, the athlete iced the injured area. The athlete began to heat the injured area before beginning his exercise to help promote increasing range of motion. Both active and passive stretching of the elbow and wrist assists the athlete in increasing range of motion as well. The athletic trainers added hammer pronation/supination exercises to ... The use of the upper body ergometer was added to help increase range of motion and strength of the arm. The team physician cleared the athlete to begin closed chain activities. Wall pushups were then added to the athlete s rehabilitation program. Next, the athletic training staff added elbow curls and extension to the athlete s rehabilitation program. Also, the athlete began upper body proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation exercises in both the D1 and D2 patterns to work on entire arm strength in flexion and extension. Once the athlete mastered the wall pushups, the intensity increased to table pushups and then to chair pushups. The athlete began to feel confidence in himself in activities of daily living and did not feel as if he would drop something if he held onto it for an extended period of
