Retail Lighting Repsol Spain
Repsol Spain replaced traditional fluorescent lighting in the refrigerators of 570 service stations with 3,000 Immersion RV40 LED luminaires from GE Lighting. This provided improved energy efficiency of up to 50% savings, with the LEDs lasting up to 50,000 hours compared to 12,000 hours for fluorescents. The LED solution improved product displays, reduced maintenance costs from less relamping, and provided an annual cost savings of 203,000 euros from lower energy and maintenance costs compared to the original installation.
