Female Reproductive System Ovaries  are the main organs of the female reproductive system. Cells in the ovaries produce three kinds of hormones. Estrogen Progesterone Eggs .
Male Reproductive System Testes   are the main organs of the male reproductive system. Located in the  scrotum . Two kinds of cells are produced in the testes. Testosterone Sperm  which are made in the  epididymis  and travel down the  urethra.
Puberty Puberty   is the time in your life when the male and female reproductive organs fully develop. Males begin between the ages of 13 – 16. Females begin between the ages of 10 – 13.  Boys  develop broader shoulders and more muscles. Girls  develop breasts and broader hips.  Puberty marks the beginning of the menstrual cycle for females.
Menstrual Cycle Menstrual cycle  occurs every 28 to 32 days. Triggered by the release of hormones in the female reproductive system. The hormones cause an egg to mature and the sides of the uterus to thicken. This happens in case the egg is fertilized, so it will have a place to attach and be nourished by the mother for 9 months of pregnancy.
Fertilization Fertilization  occurs when ONE of the millions of sperm reaches the egg and joins with it. When fertilization occurs a new cell is formed called a  zygote .
Embryo Development First 3 months: embryo Rest of the 6 months: fetus
