6. How does your magazine represent particular social groups?
My magazine represents Alternative Hip-Hop and focuses on social entity of US and UK/European fans with a demographic of the teenagers and young
adults.
• However my magazine tries to subvert from most of these themes and illustrates the goodness and culture of Alternative Rap. My main article shows a
young male rapper whom just split up with his ex-girlfriend and went under depression and rehab but however, he's not fuelled by drugs, alcohol
anymore and is clean. This should conflict with the stereotypes given about this demographic/target audience, so this genre would have a good sight
to the wider world.

7. So in conclusion, I feel that my magazine does directly represent certain social groups mainly within the youth, for
instance the language and content which is within my magazine could relate to these social groups as they would engage
the reader more. Though this, I have subverted some conventions that would create a new sense of feel to rap magazines
in general as the most of my models are Caucasian. This was done on purpose to surprise the reader as they would expect
a black artist on the cover and other areas of the publication.
