concepts learned throughout this course. Submit a 10 - 12 page
paper (excluding the title page and reference pages) in which
you address the historical, philosophical, and empirical
foundations of the field of psychology, including the major
tenets and theories included in the periods of pre-modernism,
modernism, and postmodernism and how they have helped to
shape important contemporary psychological theories and
issues.
Incorporate explanations regarding the foundational
philosophical assumptions and principles of the different
psychological paradigms (cognitive-behavioral, psychoanalytic,
and humanistic-existential).
Analyze the relevance of issues of diversity as they are related
to the history of psychology. Particular emphasis should be
