1. The students were assigned to write two comments on a reading response and complete a vocabulary writing assignment and supplemental vocabulary list, both of which were flagged as late. 2. The class agenda included independent reading, reflections and goal setting on character notes for "12 Angry Men", and a discussion of the story. 3. The students were asked to reflect on how their writing skills changed throughout the quarter by focusing on pieces that went through the writing process, vocabulary writing, and reading responses in their portfolio. They were also asked to evaluate whether their reading responses improved over the quarter and explain why or why not.
