Light that bounces off an object's surface is known as reflection. There are two types of reflection: regular reflection where parallel light rays remain parallel after striking a smooth surface, and diffuse reflection where parallel rays strike a rough surface and reflect in different directions. The laws of reflection state that the incident ray, reflected ray, and normal line all lie in the same plane, and the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection.
