This document discusses key concepts around reflection and refraction of light, including:
- The law of reflection which states that the angle of reflection equals the angle of incidence.
- The difference between regular and diffuse reflection off of smooth and rough surfaces.
- How refraction causes a change in speed and direction of light when passing between different media, as explained by Snell's law.
- Total internal reflection that occurs when light passes from a denser to less dense medium at an angle greater than the critical angle.
- Dispersion which is the separation of light into the visible spectrum due to differing refractive indices.
- How rainbows form through the dispersion and reflection of light within water droplets.
Mirror - Physics by: Rey San Andrew RimandoRey Rimando
In this PowerPoint Presentation, you will find related topics with explanation like the Three Types of Mirror; it's characteristics and functions. Attached also is the video presentation used under the hyperlink(UNDERLINED WORDS). I'm hoping this will help a lot of students. Thanks! -Rey
Light is a transverse, electromagnetic wave that can be seen by humans. The wave nature of light was first illustrated through experiments on diffraction and interference. Like all electromagnetic waves, light can travel through a vacuum. The transverse nature of light can be demonstrated through polarization.
This PowerPoint Presentation on the topic Reflection and Refraction of light provide us the basic information in a very unique and pictorial manner.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.
Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. 2. Reflection
Law of reflection -
when a light ray
strikes a reflecting
surface, the angle of
reflection equals the
angle of incidence
3. Regular vs Diffuse Reflection
If the beam of light falls on a smooth surface the rays
undergo regular reflection (parallel rays reflect parallel)
If the beam of light falls on a rough surface, the rays
undergo diffuse reflection (parallel rays do not reflect
parallel)
4. Why is it harder to see when driving at
night after it has rained?
Answer:
Because the wet road is a smooth surface
and very little light is reflected back to our
eyes
5. Are the pages of your book smooth
or rough?
Answer:
They are rough
If they were smooth, there would be a lot
more glare and it would be harder to read.
6. Refraction
Refraction- the change in
speed and direction of light at
the boundary between 2
media.
Snells Law: ni sin øi = nr sin ør
When light travels from a less
optically dense medium into a
more optically dense medium,
the speed is reduced and the
angle of refraction is smaller
than the angle of incidence.
V= c/ nr
7. Total internal reflection
occurs when light passes
from a more optically
dense medium to a less
optically dense medium
at such an angle that the
angle of refraction is 90
degrees.
Crtitical angle - angle of
incidence that causes
total internal reflection
8. Dispersion - separation of light into
the spectrum of colors
Red light travels
fastest; it bends the
least; has the smallest
index of refraction
Violet light travels the
slowest, it bends the
most; has the largest
index of refraction
9. Rainbows
A rainbow is formed when sunlight is dispersed
by water droplets.
