White giraffes have suffered population declines due to habitat loss and are now only found in a small area of Niger, though they once ranged widely in West Africa. Giraffes eat fruit, grass, and drink water, getting most of their nutrients from the plants they eat. Giraffes are the tallest land animals, with long legs and neck, and sandy colored coats with patches of brown. They can run up to 35 mph and stand up to 18 feet tall.
