Dear Sir or Madam:
I’d like to take this opportunity to recommend Jennifer Braker to a position with your company.
Jennifer was an outstanding employee here on the DCA IT Help Desk team. Immediately upon starting, she took on
additional responsibilities as a Portal Role Manager and began assisting with Telephone Features and Services calls besides the
heavy workload associated with her Technician duties. Jen also often made valuable recommendations pertaining to
improvements in Help Desk operations and developed a database to improve the efficiency and accuracy of her NJDirect
Mainframe system responsibilities.
Ms. Braker was heavily involved in many of the day-to-day PC hardware and software troubleshooting activities here with
the IT Help Desk, as well as administering MS Active Directory and Exchange. She was also responsible for analyzing Network
related issues, and thereby either resolving issues on her own, or escalating to third tier Network Administrators. With the
implementation of the new Help Desk Call Center, she was also responsible for working with the Track-It! Help Desk
Management software for call tracking and problem resolution, as well as inventory database updates and additions.
Because of her thorough knowledge of the Microsoft products, which are used by our personnel, and the Administrative
Tools that are used by Help Desk staff to support Data Center operations, she quickly became our top technician in percentage
of calls closed. Not only does Ms. Braker have a Diploma from the Chubb Institute, majoring in Data Center Support, but she
has also received Certificates from the Dow Jones Training Center for numerous computer courses. In addition to this, Ms.
Braker has also completed the Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) training, and has passed the Certification tests.
In short, we really miss Jennifer here, and were sorry to see her go. But, as they say, our loss is somebody else’s gain.
