In choosing to select a topic from Healthy People 2020, the writer met with Sheila Dobbins, FNP and
AIM Administrator for Sutter Care at Home. With the population serviced by Sutter Care at Home, it
was decided that the topic of older adults would benefit the staff. The presentation would be a
PowerPoint presentation followed by a game for interaction with the staff. Ms. Dobbins also
expressed interest in community resources for the staff to be able to provide to their patients and
families. Estimated time for the presentation would be twenty five minutes including questions and
time for the game. The location would be at Sutter Care at Home conference room located in Modesto,
California on January 3, 2017. The participants would include nurses, physical therapy, medical social
worker, and administrator. Due to improved technology, medical care, and medications people in the

2007 Jay Baichis 4th grade class came together because they wanted these colorful turtles to be our
state turtles. Why? Because these beautiful turtles are found by many lakes, ponds, and water bays
around Colorado. They have bright beautiful colors just like Colorado. The Western Painted Turtle
became our state turtle a year later after the 4th graders went through all the legal ways and the

The language of the Deaf is usually consistent with the environment the language is being spoken in.
For example, the signs that one can encounter in British Sign Language can be different than signs
that are seen in American Sign Language. Although Sign Language itself is very universal, the specific
patterns and methods of speaking that are associated with each kind of Deaf Community can be
drastically different.
Sacks himself was not deaf, but it was an exciting experience for him to dive into a community he was
not familiar with. The second part of the book, Sacks goes into detail about the importance of Sign
Language itself and discusses the situation in which he meets a young Deaf boy named Joseph. When
reading this book, I completely understood and agreed with Sacks when he stated that deaf children
must learn a language at a young age to be successful. With that being said, Oliver Saks researched
American Sign Language, and as a result, he ultimately decided that the Critical Period Hypothesis is
extremely important when discussing the Deaf community. This theory states that there is a critical
age at which people should learn a language, or they will forever be unable to express themselves with
little to no education in language. Sacks show that by keeping Sign Language away from Deaf

Essay 3 For my last and final essay of this semester I chose to answer questions number five, six and
seven. I simply chose these series of questions due to the fact that I ve had all of the Freud I could
possibly take for one semester. All the questions I ve selected are involving Carl Jung and not
Sigmund Freud. To begin with my essay let s start with question number five which asks to explain
Jung s notion of collective unconscious . I very strongly believe that Jung s concept of collective
unconscious is mainly based on his personal experiences with people who suffer from schizophrenia
which he gained form when he worked with them at the Burgholzli hospital. At first Jung chose to
follow the Freudian theory of unconscious, but later on Jung eventually chose to go down his own
path and decided to develop his own theory on unconscious which would feature totally new concepts.

unconscious, which are the psychic innate dispositions to experience and represent the basic human

Guiding Mirrors In the novel Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë, Bertha serves as a primary obstacle in the
novel, as her marriage to Rochester is a hindrance to Jane s emotional fulfillment and happiness.
Bertha is depicted as a violent and insane woman who is kept hidden in an attic throughout the novel.
Bertha s rage eventually leads her to burn Thornfield, in which Rochester loses an eye and severely

Evil has been portrayed throughout time in many ways. In Christian theology, it has been shown
through the character of Satan and his various sins. In Stephen King novels, it is portrayed through the
imagery provided by monsters and humans with cruel intentions. All these characters, though different
in many ways, all hold a similar trait, that they are aware of the evil nature and how they represent a
different nature to seem a certain way to others. They may portray themselves as kind,caring, and
honest when they are in fact, quite the opposite; cruel, dishonest and malevolent. They also all have
the power to be destructive, even if they do not have a direct reason to, only their own desire to do so.
While good is self producing and improving, evil is self destructive and can only create evil. Iago, as

People are seen as being part of a class and each citizen has a certain class of alienation which

According to John the Savage, a character from the book, was alienated in both savage culture and
