Child Study
Introduction Archie is a 10 year old in the fifth grade class here at Friends School. He s attended this
school from preschool until now, a total of seven years. He lives in the neighborhood and tends to be
one of the first kids in the classroom every morning. In general he seems to be a happy child, smiling
often. He has a tendency to be quite goofy at times and struggles with impulse control, often speaking
out in class or being disruptive by talking or making jokes. This seems to stem from his ADHD, which
he is on medication for. Though he has many challenges related to his ADHD, he displays an aptitude
for math, enjoys reading, loves computers and is full of random facts that he adores to contribute. His

Executive Leadership In Relation To Company Success Essays
Executives in today s world could be compared to the coaches of a sports team. The executive team
members of a football program include the head coach, offensive line coach, defensive line coach,
running backs coach, wide receivers coach, secondary coach, and special teams coach. The chief
executive officer, or head coach, calls the plays. The chief operations officer and chief financial officer
are akin to the offensive line coach and defensive line coach respectively. The chief operations officer
oversees the daily operations of the company while the chief financial officer oversees the financial
stability of the company. The company operations generate revenue or put points on the scoreboard.

A leader s style can be classified as transactional, transformational, or what is considered level 5. A
transactional leader creates a very structured environment. Those leaders employing transactional
leadership create clearly defined responsibilities for employees and subordinates. Transactional
leadership details the rewards for success; unfortunately, transactional leadership also encompasses an
element of punishment for failure. The punishment can be something as simple as a reprimand for
small infractions up to termination for more serious infractions; the consequences are usually well
documented as a formal policy. The transformational leadership style goes far beyond transactional
leadership. A transformational leadership style is characterized by high energy, sensibility, clarity in
direction, and empathy. Transformational leaders inspire subordinates to go beyond the norm and
achieve goals on a greater scale than they thought possible. The transformational leader promotes a
mentoring relationship rather than a monitoring relationship. Which leadership style is better? The
answer would be neither, both have their place. The culture and potential problems facing a company
are factors that determine which leadership style works best. While the leadership style is important,
the leader is just as important. Anyone can be a manager, but what does it take to become a great
leader? What sets level 5 leaders apart from

The Diary Of Alne Frank And The Diary Of Anne Frank
The Outsiders is a novel about a fourteen year gang member Ponyboy, who lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma,
and his struggles as a greaser and his relationship with his brother. The Diary Of Anne Frank play is a
fictional adaptation about the life of Anne Frank in the Secret Annex during World War II. Both texts
illustrate the theme that people become more mature after experiencing and going through a difficult
time.
The Diary of Anne Frank shows the changes in behavior and maturity for the main character, Anne, as
she stays in the annex for two years. In Act I, Anne was more energetic and playful as a thirteen year
old. Act I Scene 3 highlights Anne s playful and clumsy behavior by talking about her pranks. On page
552, it states Anne: Who cares if it s dignified? I don t want to be dignified. Mrs. Frank: [To Anne]
You complain that I don t treat you like a grownup. But when I do, you resent it (Goodrich and
Hackett 552). This shows that Anne is not ready to be treated like an adult. She dislikes when her
mother expects her to be mature and she has a teenage mentality. She does not care that her behavior
is not dignified and mature. She wants to have fun and frolic, much like what a child would want.
Therefore, in the beginning of Act I, Anne acts childish and immature. However, in Scene 4 of Act II,
it mentions how Anne has matured. She is no longer a child, but a woman with courage to meet
whatever lies ahead (634). This quote shows that change that Anne has gone through as a

Essay on Atilla the Hun and Genghiz Khan
1. Attila the Hun, Genghiz Khan, and Tamerlane share the same reputation of brutal, blood thirsty
barbarians who were after nothing more (or less) but the destruction of the so called civilized world.
Do they deserve this reputation or a case can be made in defense of one or all of these leaders?
Attila the Hun
Attila the Hun and his brother Bleda became joint leader of the empire after their father Mundzuk was
supposedly killed by his brother, who took over the empire but was exiled because they thought him
the killer of Mundzuk. They began to rule at about 435, but Bleda was killed in a supposedly hunting
accident by his brother Attila [1]. With his brother out of the way Attila began to battle the Eastern
Empire. And he attacked ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Tamerlane
Tamerlane was an Islamic leader, who was called Timur the Lame as a result of a war injury that
causes him to limp. He has battled without mercy with those that refuse to surrender, he saw them as
the cause of their problems. Although he was a great soldier, but many were relief at his death in 1405,
because he d burned and buried people alive, built building with human captives, destroyed peoples
farmland etc. Unfortunately he failed to set future goals for his empire like Genghiz Khan had done.
Due to his poor administration, his empire was taken over by the Uzbeks [1].
These men were great warriors, I believed they must have been called barbarians because they d
sacrifice even family for what they think benefits the empire. Just like Attila the Hun supposedly got
rid of his brother. Their diplomatic style suggests them to be smart and not just cut throats. I believe
Attila the Hun and Genghiz Khan where the most strategic, their empire last longer than Tamerlane,
who was obviously cruel and very well deserve to be called a barbarian.

DARE Decision-Making Model
Have you heard of the Drug. Abuse. Resistance. Education? If not have you heard of DARE. If you
have they re the same thing. Dare helps teach us about making the right decision, the dangers of Drugs
and Alcohol, and the Five W s of Reporting Bullying. Dare can help in many. One of them is how to
make the right decision. There is something called the DARE Decision Making Model, as you can
guess it helps make the right choice. First step to a good decision is to define, or describe your
problem at hand. Once you have figured out your problem Assess, or figure out what your choices are.
After, you have found your choices make a choice .or Respond. This step maybe the hardest because
of the hard choice you may have to do. Finally, you Evaluate ,or ask yourself if you made a good
decision. When you re done you have a perfectly good decision. The DARE Decision Making Model
can get many people out of sticky situations. Drugs and Alcohol are, and can be very dangerous

Essay on Application for Graduate Program in Electronics
One of the biggest influences in my childhood was my uncle. He was an amateur ham radio operator
and a dedicated electronics hobbyist. This was in the mid 1990s India, where specialized electronic
systems were prohibitively expensive, leading to growth of homebrew culture. I used to sit in his room
every evening and observe with wonder, as he operated his homebrew radio setup, building strong
connections with people across vast distances. His room which also served as his workshop, was
stuffed with a bewildering array of components and spare parts. Noticing me lurking around, he would
call me and try to explain the basics, I would nod enthusiastically as he mumbled away, but being in
primary school I could never make head nor tail of it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Until that point, I had chosen computer science courses as it was the closest I could get to learning
electronics. Over the duration of my undergrad life, as I spent more and more time embroiled in my
major subjects, this chain of reasoning proved to be perfectly true.
The VLSI Design course in my fifth semester drew my attention towards microminiaturization
technology. My reasons for such a focus were manifold; I had a brilliant professor for this course, who
placed great emphasis on the cutting edge research happening at the micro scale. Also, VLSI is the
crucial link between electronic circuits and computers, both of which are subjects close to my heart.
Consequently, I selected the VLSI/ULSI process technologies elective in the subsequent semester.
This course introduced me to the physics behind actual fabrication methodologies employed in the
semiconductor industry. It brought back memories of the awe and wonder I had felt in my childhood.
At this juncture, I resolved to explore the microscale in greater detail. In the seventh semester, I filled
all three elective slots with courses allowing me to follow up on my resolution; BIO MEMS (Micro
Electronic and Mechanical Systems), Miniature Microwave Circuits and Material Science for Micro
and Nanotechnology electives.

Transmission Control Protocols or TCP is among the key methods utilized in Internet Protocol Suites.
TCP has got two end systems, a web browser and a web server from which it operates. TCP provides
delivery of a stream of bytes from a program on one computer system to another. Internet Protocols
operate at a lower level compared to TCP. An IP is used for data transmission across a packet switched
internetwork. In X on and X off signals, the X means transmitter. These types of signals are used to
manage the movement of data between computer systems on an asynchronous serial connection. In X
on, the bit configuration is the keyboard blend of Ctrl Q and the Ctrl S combination is for X off. There
are two kinds of transmissions, parallel as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As discussed in Chapter 3, the connectionless environment (which includes
X.25 networks, the public Internet, private IP based backbones, and LANs) can be likened to the
postal service, in which a message is relayed from point to point, with each relay getting one step
closer to its ultimate destination. In a connectionless environment, each packet of a message is an
independent unit that contains the source and destination address. Each packet is independently routed
at each intermediate node it crosses. The more hops it goes through, the greater the accumulated
delays, which greatly affects delay sensitive applications, including any form of real time voice, real
time audio, real time video, video on demand, and streaming media. But connectionless environments
can work around problems, which is why they were so strong in the early days, when there were
frequent system failures and links that were too noisy to perform correctly. Connectionless packets
could circumvent system failures or noisy conditions and still meet at the
destination point with high integrity. The connectionless environment offered the flexibility of routing
around problem areas, but at the risk of greater overhead associated with the overall transmission
because addressing had to be included in each packet, and also at the risk of greater delays because
each packet had to be independently routed. Features of IP
IP was designed to work in the LAN world. It is a

The Pros And Cons Of Hatha Yoga
Existence Could Be Unbearably Demanding
Existence could be filled with excitement and fun! For a lot of, though, existence can also be filled
with challenges and demands, and this may lead to worry. These conflicting conditions create stress,
and also, since there s a restriction as we are able to handle, the strain could be intolerable.
Because it is, there s no fast solution or pill that you could take which will take away the stress. Smart
males of old have therefore come to the conclusion that people must look within us for that remedy. A
few of the techniques of to reduce stress are available inside the traditions of meditation and yoga.
Where does yoga originate from?
Cultures for example Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism have incorporated types of yoga inside their
traditions. Yoga because it is practiced today could be tracked towards the influences of these cultures.
At its core, it calls for creating discipline of mind and body, and results in better health or perhaps
spiritual enlightenment if taken that far. A feeling behind the term yoga is joining or union, and refers
back to the re joining in our innermost selves. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Another reason for choosing the FE model12 is that it can solve the endogeneity problem through
using the FE IV model; the variable GDP per capita used as a proxy of income could be an
endogenous variable. An endogenous variables are variables that correlated with the error term (ε௜௧
), while the variables that uncorrelated with the error term are called exogenous variables. The
description of these terms explains that an endogenous variable is determined within the model itself
while an exogenous variable is determined outside the model. To understand the endogeneity, we will
use the classic regression equations that show the relationship between prices and wages: Price = + 0ߚ

As we reject the H°, the random effect model will produce biased estimates, so the FE model is used
alternatively. In FE, the τ௜ is correlated with the regressor ܺ௜௧ . 13 RGDP per capita is endogenous
variable in our model because of reverse causality; the effect between corruption and RGDP goes in
both directions; either RGDP affects corruption or corruption affects RGDP. 19 Chapter 3 Empirical
Evidence estimator is biased even in large sample and the FE IV t statistic and confidence intervals are
not true. In this paper, we will use one instrument which is the RGDP of the great importer in 2000.
Here is a description why I choose this instrument. First, a country that buys most of other country‟s
export can definitely increase the GDP of that country, as the exports will be included in the country‟s
GDP calculations. Second, there is no any reason for the GDP of one country to affect the corruption
level of another country, which means; there is no any correlation between the GDP of great importer
and the domestic factors in the country at which it buys most of its exports. 3.3.3 Regression Results
and Discussion Although some of the results in this paper support that in previous papers, but it shows
new other findings. Using FE IV estimation technique through using the RGDP of great importer as an
instrument for RGDP per capita, we find that, income, political stability and

The Christ of Christianity made radical claims in regards to his relationship to Judaism. Jesus was no
timid Jewish rabbi. He claimed that he was the fulfillment of the entire Jewish Tanakh! Luke quotes
the Christ as saying, all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and
the Psalms must be fulfilled. (Luke 24:44) Jesus reinterpreted Jewish symbols and re applied them to
himself. (Wilson, 55) The many followers of Jesus today are still offending Jews by claiming that the

(Acts 7)
The Tabernacle and the Temple Christians argue that even the Tabernacle of Moses and the Temple of
Solomon testify about Christ. The author of the book of Hebrews tells us why God s patterns for the
Tabernacle were so precise and specific: Therefore it was necessary for the copies of the things in the
heavens to be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven
itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us (Hebrews 9:23 24). The Tabernacle is a partial
reflection of heaven. Evangelist and author, Theodore Epp, illustrates in his book, Portraits of Christ in
the Tabernacle, that every single item and area in the Tabernacle foreshadowed Christian truths. He
bases several connections on the structure of the temple. The open Outer Court, the semi restricted
Holy Place, and the exclusive Holy of Holies are compared to man s body, soul, and spirit; Jesus claim
to be the Way, the Truth, and the Life; and the system by which one comes to approach God. (10 21)
One should consider God s intent for the Tabernacle in the first place: Let them construct a sanctuary
for Me, that I may dwell among them (Exodus 25:8) The purpose of the Tabernacle was so that God
may have a place to dwell among His people. God could not dwell with His people unless their sins
were atoned for. The

I Really Enjoyed Holly Weeks Piece On Stressful Conversations
Intro
I really enjoyed Holly Weeks piece on stressful conversations. It aligns well with my own experience.
Her keen insight has been shared through exploration of three scenarios where the stress gets high
very easily. In each of these three examples the author lets the people in the conversation fail, this is a
thought provoking technique that stimulates introspection. Holly is counting on the reader to
remembers similar experiences that they may have gone through. The author is also provoking us to
examine the large role our subconscious has in our actions when confronted with stressful
conversations. The author provides help in solving these quarrelsome situations by describing the
processes necessary for us to improve the stress of conversation unilaterally.
Know Thyself
Know yourself, this is a common theme in many articles on communication and it is a central point in
this piece. Much of how emotions work into communication is unconscious, they seem to evolve
without our own control. Just as we felt for the characters in the examples the author provided, in
retrospect we can see our own missteps and may wish we could have handled it differently. Holly
Weeks wants us to take a step back and observe that given one type of emotional situation we
probably make the same type of mistakes every time. The author has a good word for it, tactics,
though unlike the tactics deployed consciously when running a war or wining a race, these tactics are
ones the subconscious uses to

Abstract The ultimate aim of a wireless sensor network is to provide accurate and reliable information
regarding the environment in which the sensors are deployed. Among the various applications of a
sensor network, target tracking is the one of the key application of WSNs. In existing system To
design a Face Track for detecting the movement of a target in polygon. Develop a brink detection
algorithm used to reconstruct another conceptual polygon. Optimal node selection algorithm to select
which sensor of spatial region to track data. All wireless sensors are activated and idle listening is a
major source of energy waste. Once an active sensor runs out of energy, that sensors are not present in
the network. So communication is not fully completed. We enhance the proposed algorithm

The Relevance Of The Nascaturus Fiction
The purpose of this essay is to discuss the rule and law of the nasciturus fiction, with reference to legal
subjectivity. It aims to investigate the relevance of the nascaturus fiction within South African law, and
with reference to cited cases, demonstrate the reality of this law within current times.
Many meaning exist for the term birth within South African law. South African law is based on
Roman Dutch law, and analysing the structure of Roman Dutch law may aid in the interpretation of
the nasciturus fiction within South African law.
Birth registration was not a lawfully necessary action in ancient Rome, but was rather used to
determine proof of birth and age [1]. No damages in terms of law were suffered by people who did not
register children at birth, and it did not lead to any disadvantages within law [2]. However, the use of
such birth registration proved fruitless as it did not effectively prove a person s age.
The term legal subjectivity arises, and this is questionable in terms of the nasciturus fiction. Legal
subjectivity, in terms of law, begins at birth, provided that the birth is successful and the baby born.
Common law requirements state: The body of the nasciturus or foetus must be separated from the
body of the mother; it is not required that the umbilical cord be cut; the child must live after being
born, even for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It should be noted that the nasciturus fiction and the nasciturus rule differ. The nasciturus rule allows
that if a situation arises where a foetus would have benefited if it was born, the rights that would be
given to the born child are conferred to the foetus. This results in the foetus becoming a legal person.
The foetus subsequently has legal capacity and subjectivity from the date upon which conception is
placed. It is not necessary for the child to be born alive in the case of the nasciturus

Middle Childhood Standing Out
Middle childhood fitting in or standing out Middle childhood is a crucial time when children start to
establish their own sense of identity, independence, and start to be more involved in the world beyond
their family. When children get older there values and behaviors start to change. Many children try to
be individuals, but most of the time it makes them feel vulnerable, so they tend to conform to a group.
During middle childhood cognitive changes begin to transform a child s mind and body therefor
having stability at home and in school is crucial. Vygotsky realized that children learn from one
another, their cultures and their teachers (Pg.242) Not having stability from these things will most

Victor Frankenstein s The Monster

Victor... Creator or Destroyer Victor Frankenstein worried about everyone else and playing God,
rather than trying to do right, morally. Victor had to go through a lot of steps and difficulties to create
the monster. After the creation of the monster, everyone including Victor abandoned him. Victor
refused to create a girl creature to avoid a lot of problems, but he did not realize the hell the monster
would end up causing him. Victor regrets trying to play God because his action would cause him great
troubles and consequences. Victor Frankenstein had the great idea of creating a human like creature
that ultimately became bigger, stronger, and meaner than everyone around. The process and steps took
a lot longer than what Victor predicted. When the creature finally took his first breath, the two long
years of anticipation finally relieved Victor of his stress. Victor stayed up numerous nights and missed
so many meals stressing over this creature. He never gave up despite all the difficulties wanting to
become the first ever bringing life to a creature. So much has been done, exclaimed the soul of

Beowulf, By William Shakespeare
There is so much more at play in Beowulf than just heroism and monstrousness (for lack of a better
term) and their interrelation; however, a great deal of the poem s meaning derives from the parallels
between them. It is clear from his depiction in the poem Beowulf that the titular hero is clearly drawn
as a parallel to the very monsters he fights. To today s reader, the poet s attempt to create this
similarity may be off putting. After all, the meaning of monster is likely different than that of hero to a
contemporary reader. In the context of reading Beowulf, and attempting to understand how a hero
could be monstrous, is difficult. This is because the term monster is generally associated with an evil
disposition; while the term hero, is generally appointed the moral good. But in the culture Beowulf
was written in, it was possible for a hero to possess monstrous qualities, yet separate himself from the
monster s evil purposes to pursue a social good for his community. One could compare Beowulf with
a character like the Marvel comic books superhero The Thing from Fantastic Four. Both utilize
supernatural capacities of monster into a mission for the greater good. From reviewing the many
parallels drawn by the poet between the heroic and the monstrous, supernatural capacities are not
necessarily evil. The intent behind the ability to terrorize, intimidate and destroy something
determines whether or not an action is heroic or monstrous, good or evil. Beowulf, in

Seaborne trade (a business), which carries more than 90% of all world commerce, is a volatile and
risky business due to the interplay of demand and supply and it effect on freight rates. The
rollercoaster nature of the business especially in respect to freight rates demand that critical attention
is payed to the management of risks.
In the past decades, freight rates have risen to their highest peaks and have also equally fallen to their
lowest level, to the advantage and disadvantage of ship owners and charterers respectively.

Conclusion
Shipping derivatives contracts in the form of Container Freight Swap Agreements and Freight Swap
Options are risk mitigating measures especially in the uncertain world of shipping business. To all
stakeholders in the shipping business in Ghana and other parts of the world, the use of shipping
derivatives can ensure sustainability in the rather volatile period in which ship owners and charters

Alaska s State Turtle Is The Largest Of Four Species Of...
Have you ever heard of a Western painted Turtle? Well if you are from Colorado you should know
what they are! Western painted turtles are Colorado s state turtle. How did that come about? Well in
2007 Jay Baichis 4th grade class came together because they wanted these colorful turtles to be our
state turtles. Why? Because these beautiful turtles are found by many lakes, ponds, and water bays
around Colorado. They have bright beautiful colors just like Colorado. The Western Painted Turtle
became our state turtle a year later after the 4th graders went through all the legal ways and the
process to make it happen. The 4th graders had gone to governor Ritter on March 18, 2008 and told
him why the turtles should be our state turtle, and Ritter had signed the HB 08 1017. Now let s get into
more detail about our state reptile.
The Western Painted Turtle is the largest of four species of turtles. They can grow up to about 8 inches
and the males are generally smaller than the females. Their shells are nice and smooth and are about
250mm long. They are called painted turtles because their lower shell is a bright red with yellow and
olive green colored designs spread through their shells. They have yellow lines on each side of their
neck that are about the same size that go all the way to their head. They are cold blooded animals so
they cannot control their body temperature. They have to go under the mud or sand to keep themselves
warm. Western Painted Turtles are aquatic reptiles so

The Symbols Of Righteousness In Dante s Journey
The representations of the different symbols for righteousness are shown through the shine of first
rays of sunrise, which shows that God wants Dante to change, Sin is also symbolized through the three
beasts, which could represent how he has sinned and he can t escape his past. For better insight,
analyze the sins that Dante has committed before stepping onto the path of righteousness to
understand Dante s journey.
The first rays of sunrise show that God had wanted him to change, so he sent a wake up call to Dante.
With the sunrise shining onto the little hill, the Mount of Joy, Dante found a new inspiration. He
wanted to change his ways and get back onto the True Way that God had intended for him to be on.
Dante realized that no matter what he tried, he couldn t get back on the path of righteousness by
himself. His pathway to righteousness has been blocked by his sins that he has committed. He tries to
get around his sins to righteousness, but he can t do it alone. God sends Virgil, his Human Reason

Nature By Ralph Waldo Emerson
Nature by Ralph Waldo Emerson encourages readers to set aside trivial things in order to find peace
outside of their chamber. While some readers claim Emerson is being unrealistic and that the modern
American is incapable of transcendence, it is untrue. Though it may seem difficult to find solitude in
modern society, it is nowhere near impossible. People who claim that Americans cannot reach
transcendence in nature fail to acknowledge those who really desire transcendence and have found
ways to unplug from the rest of the world and truly reach solitude. The modern American can seem
wrapped up in technology. The invention of modern computers and smartphones brought about easier
ways to communicate with people. These virtual communications are believed to distract from real life
communication. Even though people seem to be consumed by the recent technology boom, many ...

If people are genuinely unhappy with their own lives, spending a day in the forest is not suddenly
going to make their problems vanish. One obstacle that many Americans struggle with is how fast
paces American life is. Most Americans attend highschool, college, and then get a job. The entirety of
American life is spent working. This often creates stress and unhappiness for people. People get so
caught up in the triviality of their work that they forget to take care of themselves. Even though
Americans can be consumed by life at times, it is their choice as to whether or not they want to see the
beauty of nature. Emerson maintains, Nature always wears the colors of the spirit. Emerson is saying
that nature is unchanging, the only thing that can alter someone s view of nature is how he looks at it.
If someone goes into nature, seeking solitude, he is capable of reaching it. If someone goes into nature
with his life problems on his mind, he is bound to be distracted by trivial

Superstition In Macbeth Research Paper
Good Morning Gentlemen, today I would like to share my opinion about Macbeth. Shakespeare s
tragedy, Macbeth is a play that has been studied for centuries due for the main part because of the
timeless nature and the fact it can be applied to any context. In Macbeth, Shakespeare explores and
provides arguments surrounding the themes of superstition, appearance versus reality and ambition.
Firstly, through Macbeth s exploration of the theme of superstition, Shakespeare successfully argues
that superstition effects human behaviour. In Macbeth superstition is represented as the irrational fear
of what is unknown and mysterious. This is of particular importance in Shakespeare s context where
almost everyone believed in superstitions. One such superstition ... Show more content on

In particular, he argues that unchecked ambition is the root of all evil and human demise. This is of
particular significance due to Macbeth, in essence, being written for King James, and Shakespeare s
caution in not encouraging the overthrow of a King. Shakespeare s compelling argument that
unchecked ambition results in losing one s humanity to evil is displayed in Macbeth s soliloquy in Act
1 Scene 7. Here Macbeth tries to rationalise killing Duncan. Shakespeare uses the technique of listing
counter arguments, to emphasise the supreme number of arguments against killing Duncan and
contrasts this with the one argument; ambition. Here Shakespeare uses extended imagery to argue that
unchecked ambition causes evil and a loss of humanity, I have no spur to prick the sides of my intent,
but only Vaulting ambition which o erleaps itself and falls on th other. Here Shakespeare compares
Macbeth to a horse rider, and says that he has not reason to get on the horse, to dig in the horse with
his spurs, than vaulting ambition. This notion is further discussed in that this vaulting action may
result in him going too far over and crashing on the other side of the horse. This in essence also
foreshadows the negative consequences of murdering Duncan that are explored later in the play.
Through this extended imagery, Shakespeare argues that ambition is the only justifiable reason for
killing Duncan but then counters this

Colonial American And School Reform
Education over the years has changed drastically. Between the push for schools in the time of colonial
American and the school reform starting in 1830, schools began to drastically improve over time. Both
of these events from different time periods positively impacted areas of education, changing our world
for the better. These impacts can still be felt in school systems today across the country. To the people
of colonial times, education was not a focal point of their lives. Their community revolved around

we do in today s society. Education was not essential, which is why schools typically were attended

Montreal plans to shut down a pipe, which feeds water from the sewers into a treatment plant.
Therefore the city s strategy is to dump the eight billion liters of raw sewage into the St Lawrence

several negative impacts on the river s ecosystem and the city should invest in alternative procedures.

The fish rely on chemical cues to help it survive, such as finding food, shelter, detecting and avoiding

not a big concern due to the sheer size of the river and how quickly it flows at a rate of 6,000 to 7,000

Seeing Voices is a book that delves into the history of Sign Language and expresses a genuine

The language of the Deaf is usually consistent with the environment the language is being spoken in.
For example, the signs that one can encounter in British Sign Language can be different than signs
that are seen in American Sign Language. Although Sign Language itself is very universal, the specific
patterns and methods of speaking that are associated with each kind of Deaf Community can be
drastically different.
Sacks himself was not deaf, but it was an exciting experience for him to dive into a community he was
not familiar with. The second part of the book, Sacks goes into detail about the importance of Sign
Language itself and discusses the situation in which he meets a young Deaf boy named Joseph. When
reading this book, I completely understood and agreed with Sacks when he stated that deaf children
must learn a language at a young age to be successful. With that being said, Oliver Saks researched
American Sign Language, and as a result, he ultimately decided that the Critical Period Hypothesis is
extremely important when discussing the Deaf community. This theory states that there is a critical
age at which people should learn a language, or they will forever be unable to express themselves with
little to no education in language. Sacks show that by keeping Sign Language away from Deaf
children is ultimately hurting them rather than helping. Forcing deaf children at a young age to speak

Sigmund Freud. To begin with my essay let s start with question number five which asks to explain
Jung s notion of collective unconscious . I very strongly believe that Jung s concept of collective
unconscious is mainly based on his personal experiences with people who suffer from schizophrenia
which he gained form when he worked with them at the Burgholzli hospital. At first Jung chose to
follow the Freudian theory of unconscious, but later on Jung eventually chose to go down his own
path and decided to develop his own theory on unconscious which would feature totally new concepts.

Analysis Of Guiding Mirrors In Jane Eyre
Guiding Mirrors In the novel Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë, Bertha serves as a primary obstacle in the
novel, as her marriage to Rochester is a hindrance to Jane s emotional fulfillment and happiness.
Bertha is depicted as a violent and insane woman who is kept hidden in an attic throughout the novel.
Bertha s rage eventually leads her to burn Thornfield, in which Rochester loses an eye and severely
injures himself. Despite the portrayal of Bertha as an inherently monstrous figure, it almost seems as
though oppression by a male dominated society has fueled the destructive rage she comes to embody
in the novel. This rage in Bertha is a manifestation of Jane s passion and independent nature, which
seems to serve as a guiding force for Jane on her journey towards autonomy. Through the ominous
characterization of Bertha coupled with the positive impact her actions have on Jane, Brontë explores
gender inequality in an Victorian era and seems to suggest that passionate and independent women in
male dominated environments are deprived of their femininity and may even be dehumanized. Bertha
s presence acts as an obstacle for Rochester and Jane s marriage, and therefore a hindrance to Jane s
quest for emotional fulfillment. Brontë achieves an obstructive characterization of Bertha by using
animal imagery to describe her throughout the novel. In fact, one of the very first descriptions of
Bertha reveals she has a savage face with lips swelled and dark and bloodshot eyes who

others. The main similarity is how both are supposed to be perfect worlds . Pleasantville, the first
perfect world, is based on what most American fifties sitcoms were truly like. They also repeat re runs
of these shows even today just like Pleasantville the TV show is in the film. These sitcoms usually
featured wholesome American families consisting of a father, mother and two children, a boy and a
girl. Their lives were basically the same. The two children would grow up, get married and have
children whilst the husband would go to work and the wife would stay at home. In Pleasantville the
town, this is what the population s lives are really like. They also have tacky phrases such as Honey, I

many hardships starting from when she was just an infant. Preciouses being a woman has, had a major
impact in her life. Precious, was raped by her father multiple times and she, does get pregnant by him.

In one particular scene Precious is looking in the mirror while fixing her hair and what she sees
looking back at her is a white woman. In the media black women are underrepresented and it is very
difficult for little black girls too look at a move or show and find someone that looks the way they do.
Even when African American Women are put in magazines their skin tone is often made lighter than it
actually is . In the movie Precious is constantly obsessed with wanting a light skinned boy friend or a
white guy because her surroundings and American society in general has never truly labeled the idea
of being black as being beautiful or even just attractive. Being African American alone left Precious
with many disadvantages since the day she was born. American Americans are more likely than
another race to live in poverty and not have access to education and things like birth control and

Massage Therapy Research
It s supposed to be a professional secret, but I ll tell you anyway. We doctors do nothing. We only help
and encourage the doctor within (Schweitzer 179). Conventional medicine is often the first option
people seek when experiencing pain or illness, but when this option doesn t work, especially in
dealing with chronic illness; patients often look to other possibilities such as natural or complementary
medicine (Birla and Hemlin). In a 2014 study conducted by the American Massage Therapy
Association, 92% of respondents agree that massage can be effective in pain reduction, 91% assert
that massage can be beneficial to health and wellness, and 74% believe that massage therapy should
be considered a form of health care ( Alternative Medical Statistics ). ... Show more content on

Mainstream medicine, defined as methods such as drugs, radiation, and surgery used to treat illness, is
contrasted against natural medicine, defined as unorthodox therapies used to treat illness that are not
accepted by the mainstream medical community. Natural medicine was used throughout history in
many different cultures for treating all sorts of maladies and diseases. The discovery of penicillin
brought on the dispensation of, what is referred to as, the mainstream medical era until the comeback
of alternative remedies and natural medicine in the 1970s. Mainstream medicine is practical in certain
situations in which the cause can easily be ascertained and prevented in future cases. It is also used to
cover up symptoms of illness or disease in situations where a root problem needs to be discovered and
addressed. These are the situations in which natural medicine should be utilized. Acupuncture,
chiropractic, massage therapy, and reflexology are a few practices that have been shown to greatly
reduce pain and stress in the body. These techniques have also been displayed as effective methods in
promoting the restoration of the body to homeostasis, a relatively stable balance. Natural medicine
should be viewed as a feasible option, alongside

The Evil Character Of Iago
Evil has been portrayed throughout time in many ways. In Christian theology, it has been shown
through the character of Satan and his various sins. In Stephen King novels, it is portrayed through the
imagery provided by monsters and humans with cruel intentions. All these characters, though different
in many ways, all hold a similar trait, that they are aware of the evil nature and how they represent a
different nature to seem a certain way to others. They may portray themselves as kind, caring, and
honest when they are in fact, quite the opposite; cruel, dishonest and malevolent. They also all have
the power to be destructive, even if they do not have a direct reason to, only their own desire to do so.
While good is self producing and improving, evil is self destructive and can only create evil. Iago, as
an evil character, holds many similarities to other wicked figures, and is sometimes seen as a satan
like figure. Shakespeare uses the character of Iago to display the different forms evil can take on such
as being hidden behind false intentions, turning into an image of good, and its destructive nature
resulting into its own end.
In the beginning of the play, Iago is seen by other characters as a wholesome character, often called
Honest Iago due to his seemingly kind nature, though it is merely a mask his wickedness is hidden
behind. Iago, when speaking to Rodrigo about his honorable position, he reveals his true intentions
behind what he does in his position by saying,

Sexual Promiscuity In Aldous Huxley s Brave New World
Brave New World by British writer Aldous Huxley shows how the future will bring inevitable
totalitarian government to the world. The world is a dark utopian government that manufactures the
production of human beings, but along with the totalitarian government push comes isolation, drug
abuse, sexual promiscuity, and freedom. Featured in the book heavily is the theme of sexual
promiscuity. We are shown how open each character is about their sexual forwardness, but we also see
how disconnected sex is with the manufacturing of humans, the idea of sex is used merely as a
distraction instead of expressing emotional intimacy for one another. There is section from the book in
which Huxley talks about little boys and girls being force fed ideas ... Show more content on

People are seen as being part of a class and each citizen has a certain class of alienation which
includes appearance, intellect, and morals. People are usually alienated because of their individuality.
According to John the Savage, a character from the book, was alienated in both savage culture and
world state culture. He was shown as being different to the indians on the reservation. With the
excerpt why wouldn t they let me be the sacrifice? shows that with his appearance compared to the
indians of the reservations he was not allowed to participate in some acts of their culture due to the
way he looks. When he goes to England he is once again shown as being isolated by wanting to keep
true to his savage nature and trying to conform to the world state standards. Another character that
portrays alienation is Helmholtz Watson, an alpha plus, who is much smarter and stronger than the
other alpha s. This leads him to perform test and experiments that are not accepted by the world state
which leads him to exile. This can easily be compared to the totalitarian dictatorship government of
North Korea. The citizens of North Korea have no exposure to the outside world and according to
their leader, Kim Jong Un, they are the pinnacle of the world. The residents North Korea have little to
no access of outside information and due to the misinformation they are exposed to they are lead to
believe their country is normal and thriving while they are probably one of the worst off countries.
Calling back to the fact that the people are kept on the verge of famine, this constant feed of
misinformation and propaganda, Kim Jong Un is able to keep his citizens docile and unexposed to the
rest of the world, with his position as leader

The Roles Of Men And Women Essay
The roles of men and women in society, though they vary slightly from culture to culture, have been
forged in such a way that that they have been ingrained in us, while being nothing more than a social
construct, and we appear to be unable to shake them. Although we do try to be accepting of change,
the very thought of an adjustment in our perceived gender roles typically results in a reaction that is a
cross between a cringe for some and a furrowed brow for others. When we happen upon an event that
threatens to change our views of how a man or a woman should behave, something miraculous
happens. We change almost instantly into a being that is primal, thoughts come bubbling up from
inside us as we involuntarily begin to correct anyone naïve enough to think that things can be
different. We lash out at the person responsible for the proposed shift in our perception, whether it is
through verbal communication or body language, we communicate that they have crossed the
proverbial line in the sand. We are taught from a young age that boys wear blue and girls wear pink,
we learn that boys play with trucks and tools and girls play with baby dolls, throughout or lives, we
are reminded of the many differences between males and females. Later, we learn that men are
doctors, lawyers, and bosses, and women are mothers, secretaries, and nurses. Men are in positions of
power and women are incapable of leading and making decisions and it s a man s place to decide
when and how a family

The Good and Evil of Humans Essay
The Good and Evil of Humans
A famous philosopher Socrates once said, the unexamined life is not worth living. With that idea, the
question Are Human Beings Intrinsically Evil? has been asked by philosophers for many years. It is
known as one of the unanswerable questions. Determinists have come to the conclusion that we are
governed by the laws of science, that there is nothing we can do about ourselves being evil because we
naturally are. Evil is simply the act of causing pain. In this essay I will argue that human beings are
born with a natural reaction to fear and chaos to be instinctively evil.
The primary evidence that people are generally evil is evident by the number of wars. Most countries
have experienced their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One night after one of the boys got upset with their teacher decided to bring his gang to beat him up.
The teenagers were never provoked to take such drastic measures as to kill, and had no intention to
actually kill. But the leader of the gang, who had a gun, shot him in an area he thought could not kill
him, but it did. This did not happen necessarily because the boy was afraid, but it the heat of the
moment and the chaos around him, he did. Another example of evil in youth culture is the youth gangs
in California. Young men of 2 different gangs were isolated from their community. They began to
make their own rules, which lead to things getting out of control. The mentality of these gangs
becomes ?this is how we must be to survive and that we must fight to survive?. In most cases, people
that have the opportunity to have a good education and raised in decent family make the choice to
make their lives chaotic with violence. Others that are raised in a chaotic community do not have
much choice. Youth culture are very easily influenced by their communities once they become in a
chaotic community, it becomes disastrous for the community and to themselves.
Literature for many years has described human nature as being evil once they fear something or are in
a chaotic situation. In William Golding?s novel ?Lord of the Flies? which describes horrific exploits
of a group of young boys who make a transition from civilized to barbaric. Golding

Personal Leadership Philosophy Of A Healthcare Organization
PERSONAL LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY We live and operate in a reasonably diverse world, and
consequently our operations come with a variability of values and beliefs from multicultural
backgrounds. As a leader in a healthcare organization I must explore the organizational beliefs, vision,
team motivations in order to accomplish the perceived vision successfully and professionally. It is my
responsibility as a leader to effectively articulate the identified vision of the organization and motivate
the team associates toward the accomplishment of the goals and objectives. It might require the
confrontation of challenging and difficult choices and the leader s deeply held philosophy. In this
paper, I will create my personal leadership ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The superior act of living an effective life lies in the pursuit of excellent vision, to move from where
we are to where we ought to be, either as a person or as an organization. A health care leader must
motivate the organizational team, find how to work with the associates to effectively dedicate their
time and energy to achieve the identified goals and objectives through the established vision. The team
members need to buy into the vision, where they are currently doing what the leader envisions, the
leader must encourage them, keep them on track and set standards for the team by setting goals and
objective, flowing from the vision. This will enable the leader to move the health care organization to
the expected performance level within the set time period. The leader must ensure that individual
responsibilities of the associates are identified, motivated and resources provided to achieve the
identified goals. To pursue the vision, I will lead the development of the health care organization s
strategic alignment of clear goals and objectives, to preserve the core mission and encourage progress
toward the envisioned future state. Also, I will encourage and provide the direction for the
organization without hindering the development of the goals that we expect to accomplish. I believe
that we can achieve what we have envisioned in our lives as we consistently not only believe it but
confidently work hard toward that belief. Such is my principle and conviction

Traumatic Events In Syria
College Essay __Topic C__ Because of the traumatic events that happened and are still happening in
Syria, if I got a ticket and could go anywhere, I would go to Syria. Seven years go, Syria turned into a
full scale civil war. Syrians were angered by the high unemployment rate, political woes, and the lack
of freedom. This brought many to protest and escalate violence. The Syrian government then reacted
by comannading the Syrian air force to drop two chemical bombs on Syrian civilians. These bombs
killed at least 89 people and injured 541 others. I know many people would stay clear of a place like
this but I have been taught that when you see someone in need of help, you help. Yes, the threat of
getting hurt, or worse, is imminent but how could any human being turn their head on these poor
people. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

faces, I would have to put on my brave face on. After getting myself in touch with whoever is in
charge, I would get to work quickly. I would personally purchase and convey medical supplies to the
injured civilians to hopefully give them a faster recovery. There is much work to be done there. So, I
would stay there as long as I possibly could. Even it meant I d stay there for

Kanye West
This picture is a perfect portrayal of celebrity culture in today s era. The desire to be virtually
connected and share everything in one s life is the new trend. And this has resulted from the constant
competition from the new community of microcelebrities , which is based on achieving fame through
broadcasting oneself through media. One of the demeaning aspect of the picture is the lack of
genuineness and enforcement of stylish lifestyle on the audience which makes it loose the emotional
quotient.
For me, the picture represents three key elements Kanye West, who achieved success because of his
songs, then Kim Kardashian, who rose to fame through the infamous sex tape and built her media
empire over it and finally the baby, North West, who is unaware of her surroundings where she will be
in constant gaze and would have to struggle, like her parents, to depict herself according to their social
stature. According to Braudy, this urge to be unique and constant competition is what drives the Page
3 personalities to share and market their every life event which makes them superior to others. As
Guinness Book of Records demonstrates, everything humans can do has been turned into something
that humans can compete to do, with someone coming out on top, at least until ... Show more content

He lives in the neighborhood and tends to be one of the first kids in the classroom every morning. In general he seems to be a happy child, smiling often. He has a tendency to be quite goofy at times and struggles with impulse control, often speaking out in class or being disruptive by talking or making jokes. This seems to stem from his ADHD, which he is on medication for. The executive team members of a football program include the head coach, offensive line coach, defensive line coach, running backs coach, wide receivers coach, secondary coach, and special teams coach. The chief executive officer, or head coach, calls the plays. The chief operations officer and chief financial officer are akin to the offensive line coach and defensive line coach respectively. A leader s style can be classified as transactional, transformational, or what is considered level 5. A transactional leader creates a very structured environment. Those leaders employing transactional leadership create clearly defined responsibilities for employees and subordinates. Transactional leadership details the rewards for success; unfortunately, transactional leadership also encompasses an element of punishment for failure. The punishment can be something as simple as a reprimand for small infractions up to termination for more serious infractions; the consequences are usually well documented as a formal policy. The transformational leadership style goes far beyond transactional leadership. A transformational leadership style is characterized by high energy, sensibility, clarity in direction, and empathy. Transformational leaders inspire subordinates to go beyond the norm and achieve goals on a greater scale than they thought possible. The transformational leader promotes a mentoring relationship rather than a monitoring relationship. Which leadership style is better? The answer would be neither, both have their place. The culture and potential problems facing a company are factors that determine which leadership style works best. While the leadership style is important, the leader is just as important. • 4. The Diary Of Alne Frank And The Diary Of Anne Frank The Outsiders is a novel about a fourteen year gang member Ponyboy, who lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and his struggles as a greaser and his relationship with his brother. The Diary Of Anne Frank play is a fictional adaptation about the life of Anne Frank in the Secret Annex during World War II. Both texts illustrate the theme that people become more mature after experiencing and going through a difficult time. The Diary of Anne Frank shows the changes in behavior and maturity for the main character, Anne, as she stays in the annex for two years. In Act I, Anne was more energetic and playful as a thirteen year old. Act I Scene 3 highlights Anne s playful and clumsy behavior by talking about her pranks. On page 552, it states Anne: Who cares if it s dignified? I don t want to be dignified. Mrs. Frank: [To Anne] You complain that I don t treat you like a grownup. But when I do, you resent it (Goodrich and Hackett 552). This shows that Anne is not ready to be treated like an adult. She dislikes when her mother expects her to be mature and she has a teenage mentality. She does not care that her behavior is not dignified and mature. She wants to have fun and frolic, much like what a child would want. Therefore, in the beginning of Act I, Anne acts childish and immature. However, in Scene 4 of Act II, it mentions how Anne has matured. She is no longer a child, but a woman with courage to meet whatever lies ahead (634). This quote shows that change that Anne has gone through as a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Essay on Atilla the Hun and Genghiz Khan 1. Attila the Hun, Genghiz Khan, and Tamerlane share the same reputation of brutal, blood thirsty barbarians who were after nothing more (or less) but the destruction of the so called civilized world. Do they deserve this reputation or a case can be made in defense of one or all of these leaders? Attila the Hun Attila the Hun and his brother Bleda became joint leader of the empire after their father Mundzuk was supposedly killed by his brother, who took over the empire but was exiled because they thought him the killer of Mundzuk. They began to rule at about 435, but Bleda was killed in a supposedly hunting accident by his brother Attila [1]. With his brother out of the way Attila began to battle the Eastern Empire. He has battled without mercy with those that refuse to surrender, he saw them as the cause of their problems. Although he was a great soldier, but many were relief at his death in 1405, because he d burned and buried people alive, built building with human captives, destroyed peoples farmland etc. Unfortunately he failed to set future goals for his empire like Genghiz Khan had done. Due to his poor administration, his empire was taken over by the Uzbeks [1]. These men were great warriors, I believed they must have been called barbarians because they d sacrifice even family for what they think benefits the empire. Just like Attila the Hun supposedly got rid of his brother. Their diplomatic style suggests them to be smart and not just cut throats. I believe Attila the Hun and Genghiz Khan where the most strategic, their empire last longer than Tamerlane, who was obviously cruel and very well deserve to be called a barbarian. 2. There is something called the DARE Decision Making Model, as you can guess it helps make the right choice. First step to a good decision is to define, or describe your problem at hand. Once you have figured out your problem Assess, or figure out what your choices are. After, you have found your choices make a choice .or Respond. This step maybe the hardest because of the hard choice you may have to do. Finally, you Evaluate ,or ask yourself if you made a good decision. When you re done you have a perfectly good decision. • 8. Essay on Application for Graduate Program in Electronics One of the biggest influences in my childhood was my uncle. He was an amateur ham radio operator and a dedicated electronics hobbyist. This was in the mid 1990s India, where specialized electronic systems were prohibitively expensive, leading to growth of homebrew culture. I used to sit in his room every evening and observe with wonder, as he operated his homebrew radio setup, building strong connections with people across vast distances. His room which also served as his workshop, was stuffed with a bewildering array of components and spare parts. Noticing me lurking around, he would call me and try to explain the basics, I would nod enthusiastically as he mumbled away, but being in primary school I could never make head nor tail of it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Until that point, I had chosen computer science courses as it was the closest I could get to learning electronics. Over the duration of my undergrad life, as I spent more and more time embroiled in my major subjects, this chain of reasoning proved to be perfectly true. The VLSI Design course in my fifth semester drew my attention towards microminiaturization technology. My reasons for such a focus were manifold; I had a brilliant professor for this course, who placed great emphasis on the cutting edge research happening at the micro scale. Also, VLSI is the crucial link between electronic circuits and computers, both of which are subjects close to my heart. Consequently, I selected the VLSI/ULSI process technologies elective in the subsequent semester. This course introduced me to the physics behind actual fabrication methodologies employed in the semiconductor industry. It brought back memories of the awe and wonder I had felt in my childhood. At this juncture, I resolved to explore the microscale in greater detail. In the seventh semester, I filled all three elective slots with courses allowing me to follow up on my resolution; BIO MEMS (Micro Electronic and Mechanical Systems), Miniature Microwave Circuits and Material Science for Micro and Nanotechnology electives. #This para has to be changed for Washington univ (No vhsm reco.)# It was my good fortune, to have found an excellent mentor in Dr. VHS Moorthy, who taught me both MEMS and ... TCP provides delivery of a stream of bytes from a program on one computer system to another. Internet Protocols operate at a lower level compared to TCP. An IP is used for data transmission across a packet switched internetwork. In X on and X off signals, the X means transmitter. These types of signals are used to manage the movement of data between computer systems on an asynchronous serial connection. As discussed in Chapter 3, the connectionless environment (which includes X.25 networks, the public Internet, private IP based backbones, and LANs) can be likened to the postal service, in which a message is relayed from point to point, with each relay getting one step closer to its ultimate destination. In a connectionless environment, each packet of a message is an independent unit that contains the source and destination address. Each packet is independently routed at each intermediate node it crosses. The more hops it goes through, the greater the accumulated delays, which greatly affects delay sensitive applications, including any form of real time voice, real time audio, real time video, video on demand, and streaming media. But connectionless environments can work around problems, which is why they were so strong in the early days, when there were frequent system failures and links that were too noisy to perform correctly. Connectionless packets could circumvent system failures or noisy conditions and still meet at the destination point with high integrity. The connectionless environment offered the flexibility of routing around problem areas, but at the risk of greater overhead associated with the overall transmission because addressing had to be included in each packet, and also at the risk of greater delays because each packet had to be independently routed. Another reason for choosing the FE model12 is that it can solve the endogeneity problem through using the FE IV model; the variable GDP per capita used as a proxy of income could be an endogenous variable. An endogenous variables are variables that correlated with the error term (ε௜௧ ), while the variables that uncorrelated with the error term are called exogenous variables. The description of these terms explains that an endogenous variable is determined within the model itself while an exogenous variable is determined outside the model. To understand the endogeneity, we will use the classic regression equations that show the relationship between prices and wages: Price = + 0ߚ 1ߚWage + ε௜௧ .............................. In FE, the τ௜ is correlated with the regressor ܺ௜௧ . 13 RGDP per capita is endogenous variable in our model because of reverse causality; the effect between corruption and RGDP goes in both directions; either RGDP affects corruption or corruption affects RGDP. 19 Chapter 3 Empirical Evidence estimator is biased even in large sample and the FE IV t statistic and confidence intervals are not true. In this paper, we will use one instrument which is the RGDP of the great importer in 2000. Here is a description why I choose this instrument. First, a country that buys most of other country‟s export can definitely increase the GDP of that country, as the exports will be included in the country‟s GDP calculations. Second, there is no any reason for the GDP of one country to affect the corruption level of another country, which means; there is no any correlation between the GDP of great importer and the domestic factors in the country at which it buys most of its exports. 3.3.3 Regression Results and Discussion Although some of the results in this paper support that in previous papers, but it shows new other findings. (Acts 7) The Tabernacle and the Temple Christians argue that even the Tabernacle of Moses and the Temple of Solomon testify about Christ. The author of the book of Hebrews tells us why God s patterns for the Tabernacle were so precise and specific: Therefore it was necessary for the copies of the things in the heavens to be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us (Hebrews 9:23 24). The Tabernacle is a partial reflection of heaven. Evangelist and author, Theodore Epp, illustrates in his book, Portraits of Christ in the Tabernacle, that every single item and area in the Tabernacle foreshadowed Christian truths. He bases several connections on the structure of the temple. The open Outer Court, the semi restricted Holy Place, and the exclusive Holy of Holies are compared to man s body, soul, and spirit; Jesus claim to be the Way, the Truth, and the Life; and the system by which one comes to approach God. (10 21) One should consider God s intent for the Tabernacle in the first place: Let them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them (Exodus 25:8) The purpose of the Tabernacle was so that God may have a place to dwell among His people. Her keen insight has been shared through exploration of three scenarios where the stress gets high very easily. In each of these three examples the author lets the people in the conversation fail, this is a thought provoking technique that stimulates introspection. Holly is counting on the reader to remembers similar experiences that they may have gone through. The author is also provoking us to examine the large role our subconscious has in our actions when confronted with stressful conversations. The author provides help in solving these quarrelsome situations by describing the processes necessary for us to improve the stress of conversation unilaterally. Know Thyself Know yourself, this is a common theme in many articles on communication and it is a central point in this piece. Much of how emotions work into communication is unconscious, they seem to evolve without our own control. Just as we felt for the characters in the examples the author provided, in retrospect we can see our own missteps and may wish we could have handled it differently. Holly Weeks wants us to take a step back and observe that given one type of emotional situation we probably make the same type of mistakes every time. The author has a good word for it, tactics, though unlike the tactics deployed consciously when running a war or wining a race, these tactics are ones the subconscious uses to ... The Fuhrer had gone to the Bunker for peace from war, yet he was getting the exact opposite of what he dreamed of. The Allied forces had continued to bomb Berlin wiping out all of his troops in groups at a time. Due to these constant mass killings of soldiers, Hitler had ordered to send out the Hitler Youth. They were young boys who still had a whole life ahead of them, but instead their futures were ruined by war. A war that seemed, at this point, useless to continue on. Among the various applications of a sensor network, target tracking is the one of the key application of WSNs. In existing system To design a Face Track for detecting the movement of a target in polygon. Develop a brink detection algorithm used to reconstruct another conceptual polygon. Optimal node selection algorithm to select which sensor of spatial region to track data. All wireless sensors are activated and idle listening is a major source of energy waste. Once an active sensor runs out of energy, that sensors are not present in the network. So communication is not fully completed. It aims to investigate the relevance of the nascaturus fiction within South African law, and with reference to cited cases, demonstrate the reality of this law within current times. Many meaning exist for the term birth within South African law. South African law is based on Roman Dutch law, and analysing the structure of Roman Dutch law may aid in the interpretation of the nasciturus fiction within South African law. Birth registration was not a lawfully necessary action in ancient Rome, but was rather used to determine proof of birth and age [1]. No damages in terms of law were suffered by people who did not register children at birth, and it did not lead to any disadvantages within law [2]. However, the use of such birth registration proved fruitless as it did not effectively prove a person s age. The term legal subjectivity arises, and this is questionable in terms of the nasciturus fiction. Legal subjectivity, in terms of law, begins at birth, provided that the birth is successful and the baby born. Common law requirements state: The body of the nasciturus or foetus must be separated from the body of the mother; it is not required that the umbilical cord be cut; the child must live after being born, even for ... Victor refused to create a girl creature to avoid a lot of problems, but he did not realize the hell the monster would end up causing him. • 25. Beowulf, By William Shakespeare There is so much more at play in Beowulf than just heroism and monstrousness (for lack of a better term) and their interrelation; however, a great deal of the poem s meaning derives from the parallels between them. It is clear from his depiction in the poem Beowulf that the titular hero is clearly drawn as a parallel to the very monsters he fights. To today s reader, the poet s attempt to create this similarity may be off putting. After all, the meaning of monster is likely different than that of hero to a contemporary reader. In the context of reading Beowulf, and attempting to understand how a hero could be monstrous, is difficult. This is because the term monster is generally associated with an evil disposition; while the term hero, is generally appointed the moral good. But in the culture Beowulf was written in, it was possible for a hero to possess monstrous qualities, yet separate himself from the monster s evil purposes to pursue a social good for his community. One could compare Beowulf with a character like the Marvel comic books superhero The Thing from Fantastic Four. Both utilize supernatural capacities of monster into a mission for the greater good. From reviewing the many parallels drawn by the poet between the heroic and the monstrous, supernatural capacities are not necessarily evil. The intent behind the ability to terrorize, intimidate and destroy something determines whether or not an action is heroic or monstrous, good or evil. Beowulf, in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Western painted turtles are Colorado s state turtle. How did that come about? Well in 2007 Jay Baichis 4th grade class came together because they wanted these colorful turtles to be our state turtles. Why? Because these beautiful turtles are found by many lakes, ponds, and water bays around Colorado. They have bright beautiful colors just like Colorado. The Western Painted Turtle became our state turtle a year later after the 4th graders went through all the legal ways and the process to make it happen. The 4th graders had gone to governor Ritter on March 18, 2008 and told him why the turtles should be our state turtle, and Ritter had signed the HB 08 1017. People who claim that Americans cannot reach transcendence in nature fail to acknowledge those who really desire transcendence and have found ways to unplug from the rest of the world and truly reach solitude. Shakespeare s tragedy, Macbeth is a play that has been studied for centuries due for the main part because of the timeless nature and the fact it can be applied to any context. In Macbeth, Shakespeare explores and provides arguments surrounding the themes of superstition, appearance versus reality and ambition. In particular, he argues that unchecked ambition is the root of all evil and human demise. This is of particular significance due to Macbeth, in essence, being written for King James, and Shakespeare s caution in not encouraging the overthrow of a King. Shakespeare s compelling argument that unchecked ambition results in losing one s humanity to evil is displayed in Macbeth s soliloquy in Act 1 Scene 7. Here Macbeth tries to rationalise killing Duncan. Shakespeare uses the technique of listing counter arguments, to emphasise the supreme number of arguments against killing Duncan and contrasts this with the one argument; ambition. Here Shakespeare uses extended imagery to argue that unchecked ambition causes evil and a loss of humanity, I have no spur to prick the sides of my intent, but only Vaulting ambition which o erleaps itself and falls on th other. Here Shakespeare compares Macbeth to a horse rider, and says that he has not reason to get on the horse, to dig in the horse with his spurs, than vaulting ambition. This notion is further discussed in that this vaulting action may result in him going too far over and crashing on the other side of the horse. The second part of the book, Sacks goes into detail about the importance of Sign Language itself and discusses the situation in which he meets a young Deaf boy named Joseph. • 38. Analysis Of Guiding Mirrors In Jane Eyre Guiding Mirrors In the novel Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë, Bertha serves as a primary obstacle in the novel, as her marriage to Rochester is a hindrance to Jane s emotional fulfillment and happiness. Bertha is depicted as a violent and insane woman who is kept hidden in an attic throughout the novel. Bertha s rage eventually leads her to burn Thornfield, in which Rochester loses an eye and severely injures himself. Despite the portrayal of Bertha as an inherently monstrous figure, it almost seems as though oppression by a male dominated society has fueled the destructive rage she comes to embody in the novel. This rage in Bertha is a manifestation of Jane s passion and independent nature, which seems to serve as a guiding force for Jane on her journey towards autonomy. Through the ominous characterization of Bertha coupled with the positive impact her actions have on Jane, Brontë explores gender inequality in an Victorian era and seems to suggest that passionate and independent women in male dominated environments are deprived of their femininity and may even be dehumanized. Bertha s presence acts as an obstacle for Rochester and Jane s marriage, and therefore a hindrance to Jane s quest for emotional fulfillment. Brontë achieves an obstructive characterization of Bertha by using animal imagery to describe her throughout the novel. In fact, one of the very first descriptions of Bertha reveals she has a savage face with lips swelled and dark and bloodshot eyes who ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

First of all, he believes that the argument to rectify relations with England is unfair, as though she is referred to as America s mother country, she has to right to be referred to as such. The colonies were composed of numerous nationalities, not just Englishmen. In fact, Not one third of the inhabitants, even of this province are of English descent. The fact that the British do not even compose most of America s population, coupled with the fact that Paine believes her behavior towards her child country to be worse than that of a brute s, causes Paine to believe that referring to England as the mother country ... The Cinematic Features Displayed in Pleasantville and The Truman Show The following essay, which I have composed, is based on two important films of the last decade. Their titles are Pleasantville and The Truman Show . Starting with the Pleasantville , the general overview of the film s plot gets more complicated the further you get into it. It brings up several issues all of which I have commented on in this essay. The film starts with two teenagers, David and Jennifer. David has an addiction to old reruns of a fifties sitcom also by the name of Pleasantville . Jennifer is the complete opposite of her brother, leading a rather promiscuous lifestyle. I will relate more to this town in the next section. All this is, from actors to the weather, is controlled by Christof, the director of the show. He controls everything around Truman and will be talked about more in the next section. The towns of Pleasantville and Seahaven, the sets for both films are similar in ways and different in others. The main similarity is how both are supposed to be perfect worlds . Pleasantville, the first perfect world, is based on what most American fifties sitcoms were truly like. They also repeat re runs of these shows even today just like Pleasantville the TV show is in the film. These sitcoms usually featured wholesome American families consisting of a father, mother and two children, a boy and a girl. Their lives were basically the same. The two children would grow up, get married and have children whilst the husband would go to work and the wife would stay at home. Conventional medicine is often the first option people seek when experiencing pain or illness, but when this option doesn t work, especially in dealing with chronic illness; patients often look to other possibilities such as natural or complementary medicine (Birla and Hemlin). In a 2014 study conducted by the American Massage Therapy Association, 92% of respondents agree that massage can be effective in pain reduction, 91% assert that massage can be beneficial to health and wellness, and 74% believe that massage therapy should be considered a form of health care ( Alternative Medical Statistics ). ... • 43. The Evil Character Of Iago Evil has been portrayed throughout time in many ways. In Christian theology, it has been shown through the character of Satan and his various sins. In Stephen King novels, it is portrayed through the imagery provided by monsters and humans with cruel intentions. All these characters, though different in many ways, all hold a similar trait, that they are aware of the evil nature and how they represent a different nature to seem a certain way to others. They may portray themselves as kind, caring, and honest when they are in fact, quite the opposite; cruel, dishonest and malevolent. They also all have the power to be destructive, even if they do not have a direct reason to, only their own desire to do so. While good is self producing and improving, evil is self destructive and can only create evil. Iago, as an evil character, holds many similarities to other wicked figures, and is sometimes seen as a satan like figure. Shakespeare uses the character of Iago to display the different forms evil can take on such as being hidden behind false intentions, turning into an image of good, and its destructive nature resulting into its own end. In the beginning of the play, Iago is seen by other characters as a wholesome character, often called Honest Iago due to his seemingly kind nature, though it is merely a mask his wickedness is hidden behind. Iago, when speaking to Rodrigo about his honorable position, he reveals his true intentions behind what he does in his position by saying, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The world is a dark utopian government that manufactures the production of human beings, but along with the totalitarian government push comes isolation, drug abuse, sexual promiscuity, and freedom. Featured in the book heavily is the theme of sexual promiscuity. We are shown how open each character is about their sexual forwardness, but we also see how disconnected sex is with the manufacturing of humans, the idea of sex is used merely as a distraction instead of expressing emotional intimacy for one another. People are usually alienated because of their individuality. According to John the Savage, a character from the book, was alienated in both savage culture and world state culture. He was shown as being different to the indians on the reservation. With the excerpt why wouldn t they let me be the sacrifice? shows that with his appearance compared to the indians of the reservations he was not allowed to participate in some acts of their culture due to the way he looks. When he goes to England he is once again shown as being isolated by wanting to keep true to his savage nature and trying to conform to the world state standards. Another character that portrays alienation is Helmholtz Watson, an alpha plus, who is much smarter and stronger than the other alpha s. This leads him to perform test and experiments that are not accepted by the world state which leads him to exile. The Roles Of Men And Women Essay The roles of men and women in society, though they vary slightly from culture to culture, have been forged in such a way that that they have been ingrained in us, while being nothing more than a social construct, and we appear to be unable to shake them. Although we do try to be accepting of change, the very thought of an adjustment in our perceived gender roles typically results in a reaction that is a cross between a cringe for some and a furrowed brow for others. When we happen upon an event that threatens to change our views of how a man or a woman should behave, something miraculous happens. We change almost instantly into a being that is primal, thoughts come bubbling up from inside us as we involuntarily begin to correct anyone naïve enough to think that things can be different. We lash out at the person responsible for the proposed shift in our perception, whether it is through verbal communication or body language, we communicate that they have crossed the proverbial line in the sand. • 46. The Good and Evil of Humans Essay The Good and Evil of Humans A famous philosopher Socrates once said, the unexamined life is not worth living. With that idea, the question Are Human Beings Intrinsically Evil? has been asked by philosophers for many years. It is known as one of the unanswerable questions. Determinists have come to the conclusion that we are governed by the laws of science, that there is nothing we can do about ourselves being evil because we naturally are. Evil is simply the act of causing pain. In this essay I will argue that human beings are born with a natural reaction to fear and chaos to be instinctively evil. The primary evidence that people are generally evil is evident by the number of wars. Most countries have experienced their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The teenagers were never provoked to take such drastic measures as to kill, and had no intention to actually kill. But the leader of the gang, who had a gun, shot him in an area he thought could not kill him, but it did. This did not happen necessarily because the boy was afraid, but it the heat of the moment and the chaos around him, he did. Another example of evil in youth culture is the youth gangs in California. Young men of 2 different gangs were isolated from their community. They began to make their own rules, which lead to things getting out of control. The mentality of these gangs becomes ?this is how we must be to survive and that we must fight to survive?. In most cases, people that have the opportunity to have a good education and raised in decent family make the choice to make their lives chaotic with violence. Others that are raised in a chaotic community do not have much choice. • 49. Kanye West This picture is a perfect portrayal of celebrity culture in today s era. The desire to be virtually connected and share everything in one s life is the new trend. And this has resulted from the constant competition from the new community of microcelebrities , which is based on achieving fame through broadcasting oneself through media. One of the demeaning aspect of the picture is the lack of genuineness and enforcement of stylish lifestyle on the audience which makes it loose the emotional quotient. For me, the picture represents three key elements Kanye West, who achieved success because of his songs, then Kim Kardashian, who rose to fame through the infamous sex tape and built her media empire over it and finally the baby, North West, who is unaware of her surroundings where she will be in constant gaze and would have to struggle, like her parents, to depict herself according to their social stature. According to Braudy, this urge to be unique and constant competition is what drives the Page 3 personalities to share and market their every life event which makes them superior to others.
