In 2019, $449.64 billion was donated to charities in the US. Last year, giving increased more than 10% -- IN A PANDEMIC! AND - 80% of these contributions are made by people. Yet many nonprofits lose 1/3 of their donors each year. Are you ready to get off the treadmill (donors on... donors off... donors on... donors off...)?
One of the keys to building a successful individual giving program is by building and deepening rapport with your donors. This goes well beyond sending timely thank you notes and a quarterly newsletter. In this webinar, you'll learn the techniques you can use to solicit larger gifts from your donors, while deepening their loyalty to your organization.

Description: A good fundraising pyramid has a strong base of support from many individual donors who give smaller gifts. For many donors, this is their point of entry to your organization. Moving donors up the pyramid through their giving is imperative to building our organizations capacity to grow and serve our communities. Major gift donors are those we reach out to individually, one-on-one. How we do this effectively and based on donor needs.
This interactive session will answer your questions and present how to: Determine who are your potential major donors and how many you can handle effectively, Use electronic screening-if appropriate, Use tools effectively to engage donors from annual giving to major gift giving, Engage the Board in giving and getting, Determine case for support, and Create a cultivation and solicitation plan for each donor.

Growing Your Stewardship Program — Going Beyond Just Saying Thank YouAplos Software
Stewardship is at the core of a great fundraising strategy. It is what shows donors that the organization they’ve entrusted their money to is appreciative of the gift, has used it wisely and that they’ve had an impact on the cause.
Unfortunately many nonprofit lose donors over time or donors do not increase giving because donor stewardship is not a priority or gets lost in the hustle and bustle of running a nonprofit.

2. Welcome
Thanks so much for choosing Razoo!
On the following pages, you’ll find tips and tricks
we’ve gathered over years of assisting individual
fundraisers and nonprofit organizations with their
online fundraising efforts.
We’ve already helped raise over $160 million for
good causes. Now, we’d like to help make your
fundraiser as successful as possible.
4. Set Clearly Defined Goals
Start by identifying specific, realistic goals and
requirements of your fundraiser:
• What do you want to accomplish with the money
you’re raising, and how much money do you need
to accomplish it?
• How will others feel the impact of your project?
• How much time do you need to raise the money?
• How much time and energy are you willing to
spend to make your fundraiser a success?
5. Fundraising Checklist
Use this checklist to prep for your fundraiser:
q Choose your cause or project, whether personal
or nonprofit.
q Define what impact you’d like to make.
q Choose a monetary goal.
q Pick an end date for your fundraiser.
q Create a Razoo account.
q Create your fundraising page. Short & Sweet:
Fundraisers
that perform
well usually
run no longer
than 45 days.
7. Tell Your Story
Creating a fundraising page on Razoo is an
opportunity to tell your unique story through
words, imagery, and videos. We provide all the
tools, but you provide the most important part:
personality.
Make your page your own. Tell your donors about
your goals. Let them know the personal story
behind your efforts.
The more you share, the more people will want to
share their generosity with you.
8. Be Creative
Have some fun with your fundraiser. A creative
approach goes a long way towards engagement
and makes your project more memorable.
9. Use Lots of Imagery
Images are powerful! Fundraisers with at least one
image raise 2x more money than those without.
So, use imagery that helps tell your story and
speaks to your audience.
10. Use Videos, Too
Fundraisers with at least one video raise 2.1x more
money than those without. Videos provide a
memorable, shareable, multimedia experience,
and don’t have to be fancy to be effective.
11. Map Donations to Impact
It’s often difficult for people to grasp how
much they can help with just a small donation.
Let people know how much each donation
will impact your project.
$100 1 veterinary check-up
$75 1 cat adoption fee
$50 2 inoculations
$25 1 month of prescriptions
$10 10 cans of cat food
13. Fundraisers are Campaigns
Think of your fundraiser as an ongoing campaign, rather
than something you post about once then forget. Support
your fundraiser with continuous promotion until you
reach your goal. Some helpful tips:
• Update people on your progress, send thank you
notes, or just ask people to share. Not every message
about your fundraiser needs to be a request for
donations.
• Upload new images on a frequent basis. Give people a
reason to keep coming back to your page.
• Comment on your fundraising page to keep people
engaged. Fundraisers with comments earn 8.3x more
money than those without.
14. Share Early, Share Often
Start your fundraiser off with a bang! We’ve found
that the first few days of any fundraiser are critical
to its success. In fact, fundraisers who receive their
first donation in their first three days are far more
likely to hit their goal, regardless of the length of
their campaign.
Email is the most
effective means
for sharing a
fundraiser, driving
the highest
conversion rates
of any form of
communication.
15. Don’t Be Afraid to Ask
Most people are happy to help, you just have to
ask. Start by asking your inner circle and expand
from there. As your fundraiser builds momentum,
branch out to other groups.
Friends & Family
Social Networks
Colleagues & Coworkers
16. Find Your Audience
website
widgetsocial media
Don’t rely on your donors and supporters to find you,
use the web to find your audience and communicate
with them on their own turf.
Our built-in social connectivity and our Facebook
and webpages widgets help you take your fundraiser
everywhere your audience goes.
email
17. Stay Connected
Share your fundraiser.
One Facebook share is worth nearly $18 in donations.
Use comments to keep people engaged.
Fundraising pages with at least one comment raise
8.3x more money than those without.
Send “thank you” notes to donors by email.
On Razoo, you can include custom thank-you videos.
Show supporters the impact of donations.
Follow up to share the outcomes of your efforts.
19. Contact Razoo
If you ever need help with the Razoo platform,
